Ishant Sharma has taken 10 wickets at an average of 20.60, with an economy of 8.24 and a strike rate of 15.00. His BBM this season is 2/19. Punjab Kings: PBKS captain Shikhar Dhawan was the highest scorer for his team amassing 373 runs with an average of 41.44 at a strike rate of 142.91. "Chandu sir [Chandrakant Pandit, KKR coach] asked for a heavy roller, which I did not want. I felt the heavy roller might break the pitch, but it settled the pitch completely. The ball did not turn in the second innings. Credit to our spinners for how well they bowled. I always felt that if I or Rinku could hold one end up, we will chase this down. That is what happened," said Nitish in a post-match presentation. Notably, Nitish is having a great IPL 2023 as a batter. In 13 matches, he has scored 405 runs at an average of 33.75 and a strike rate of 143.10. He has three half-centuries this season, with the best score of 75. Ball did not turn in second innings, says KKR skipper Nitish Rana after win over CSK

India Batter Shreyas <keyword id="25076" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="iyer" source="Orion">Iyer</keyword> is likely to miss the entire season of the Indian Premier League 2023 and World Test Championship Final against Australia at the Oval stadium in England, according to ESPNcricinfo. Iyer complained about swelling in his lower back during the fourth Test match between India and Australia in Ahmedabad and was not able to bat. He was not able to recover from this recurring back injury and at last, underwent surgery which will keep him away from the field for at least three months. According to ESPNcricinfo, Iyer will be out of the upcoming World Test Championship Final which will be played between India and Australia from June 7 at The Oval in London, England. Iyer, 28, first experienced back discomfort last December just after the conclusion of the Bangladesh tour. He missed the series against New Zealand at home and the first BGT test against Australia. Though he returned to play the second and third tests, the pain resurfaced during the final test, where he fielded for two days. He did not come out to bat during India's only innings in the match which ended in a draw. After consulting with medical professionals, Iyer was opted out of the first half of IPL. Salt-less KKR take on Sunrisers Hyderabad in power-hitting slugfest

A resurgent Kolkata Knight Riders will look for their third victory in a row in their fight for survival when they face a struggling Rajasthan <keyword id="6418563" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="royals" source="Orion">Royals</keyword> in the IPL here on Thursday. Facing must-win scenarios, the two-time champions showed tremendous resilience to bounce back into reckoning after their wins over Sunrisers Hyderabad and Punjab Kings, both in dramatic last-ball finishes. The wins have not only boosted their sagging morale but also taken the side to sixth place from eighth on the points table. As things stand, four teams including <keyword id="6354544" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="kkr" source="Orion">KKR</keyword> and Rajasthan Royals, are locked on 10 points in a mid-table traffic rush for the playoffs. RR may be ahead on net run rate (NRR) but the equation could change quickly if KKR continue their winning run, as a victory for either side will take them into the top-four. While KKR are high on confidence after two thrilling wins, the Royals - last season's runners-up - would be at their lowest ebb after three defeats. The Royals had posted 200-plus totals but were done in by some baffling strategies in two of their three losses, which has led to a must-win scenario for them as well. Resurgent KKR face struggling Rajasthan Royals, aim to break into top 4

Pune has defeated Mumbai in a surprisingly close match. We all love those last ball matches. 
 All-rounder Hardik Pandya's last-over heroics helped <keyword id="13880" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Mumbai-Indians">Mumbai Indians</keyword> recover from a mediocre position to post a healthy 184/8 against <keyword id="3315697" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Rising-Pune-Supergiant">Rising Pune Supergiant</keyword> (RPS) in the second game of the 2017 Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium here on Thursday. 
 
Bengal medium pacer Ashoke Dinda was the culprit for the home side conceding 30 runs in the final over when Hardik (35 not out) hammered the right-armer for four sixes (including three consecutive) and a four to change the course of the game. 
 
Earlier, South African leg-spinner Imran Tahir, who went unsold in the auctions and was a late addition to the Pune squad, brought the hosts back into the game with three quick wickets after the Mumbai opening duo of Jos Buttler (38) and Parthiv Patel (19) added 45 runs for the opening wicket. 
 
Introduced in the fifth over, Tahir struck in his second ball when he bowled Parthiv round his legs before packing Mumbai skipper Rohit Sharma (3) and Buttler in his next over to reduce Mumbai to 62/3. 
 
Rohit, who has been out of action for almost five months, was slow on his feet and it was enough for Tahir to break through his defence. One ball later, Tahir trapped the dangerous Buttler in front although television replays later showed that the Englishman had got a thick inside edge. 
 
Before his dismissal, Buttler lived up to his billing, milking his English teammate and IPL-10's costliest buy Ben Stokes (Rs 14.5 crore) for two consecutive sixes and then dispatching rookie Rajasthan medium-pacer Deepak Chahar for a four and a six off back-to-back deliveries. His 19-ball knock was laced with three hits to the fence and as many maximums. 
 
After the strategic time-out, Pune skipper Steve Smith introduced veteran all-rounder Rajat Bhatia, who responded well by taking a simple return catch to pack Ambati Rayudu (10) before dismissing Krunal Pandya (3) cheaply. 
 
Australian leggie Adam Zampa then added to the misery for the visitors by picking the crucial wicket of Nitish Rana (34), comfortably caught by Bhatia at deep midwicket. 
 
Rana looked good for his 28-ball knock, consisting a four and two sixes, but it was the 30-run fourth-wicket stand with Rayudu and 18 runs with Keiron Pollard (27) that mattered more. 
 Pollard, who was dropped by <keyword id="6397" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Dhoni">Dhoni</keyword> on 22, struggled to get the big shots before falling to a stunning running catch by Mayank Agarwal at the long-on boundary off Stokes. 
 
The West Indian struck three boundaries and a six in his 17-ball innings as he added 21 runs for the seventh wicket with Hardik Pandya. 
 
Hardik then added 37 runs for the eighth wicket with New Zealander Tim Southee (7) to put Mumbai in a commanding position.
