"Have just got the good news that due to the hard work of our teams and your cooperation, a consensus has been reached on New Delhi G20 Leaders Summit Declaration," Modi told the leaders while addressing the second session of the Summit at the Bharat Mandapam here. "It is my proposal that this G20 Declaration be adopted," the prime minister said. After the approval of the members, Modi said, "I announce the adoption of this Declaration". "On this occasion I would like to thank our ministers, sherpas and all officials who made this possible with their hard work," he said. With consensus eluding on the paragraph relating to the Ukraine conflict, India had on Friday circulated a draft Summit Declaration among the member countries without the paragraph on the geopolitical issue in an attempt to hammer out a positive outcome, according to diplomatic sources. "The New Delhi Leaders Declaration has been officially adopted at the G20 India Leaders' Summit! Today's era must be marked as the golden age of human-centric globalisation and India's G20 Presidency under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi has worked tirelessly towards this goal," India's G20 Sherpa Amitabh Kant said on X. "Historical and Path breaking G20 Declaration with 100% consensus on all developmental and geo-political issues. The new geopolitical paras are a powerful call for Planet, People, Peace and Prosperity in today's world. Demonstrates PM Narendra Modi leadership in today's world," he said.

<ul><li>According to the revised document by the <keyword id="46535" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Health-ministry">Health ministry</keyword>, in regular course, a symptomatic candidate should be referred to the nearest health centre and given an opportunity to undertake the examination through other means. </li><li>The ministry had on September 2 issued guidelines as per which staff and examinees from containment zones shall not be permitted to be physically present at exam centres and there will be alternative arrangements for such students.</li></ul> The government has issued a revised SOP for conducting examinations amid the Covid-19 <keyword id="43587" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="pandemic">pandemic</keyword>, removing the provision that allowed symptomatic candidates who insist on taking an exam to do so in isolation. According to the revised document by the Health ministry, in regular course, a symptomatic candidate should be referred to the nearest health centre and given an opportunity to undertake the examination through other means, or the university or educational institution shall arrange for taking the exam at a later date when the student is declared physically fit. "However, if a student is found to be symptomatic, the permission or denial thereof, in such cases shall be granted as per the policy already enunciated on the issue by the Examination Conducting Authorities," the revised Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) said. The ministry had on September 2 issued guidelines as per which staff and examinees from containment zones shall not be permitted to be physically present at exam centres and there will be alternative arrangements for such students. Such students shall be given an opportunity to undertake the examination through other means, or universities and educational institutions shall arrange for taking the exam at a later date for them. According to the SOP, appropriate arrangements for personal protection gears like face covers or masks, and other logistics like hand sanitisers, soap, sodium hypochlorite solution etc. shall be made available by universities, educational institutions, examination conducting authorities or examination centres to the staff as well as students as per requirements. "Exam functionary and examinees may also submit self-declaration about health status at the time of entrance to the examination centre. Such self-declaration form may be circulated at the time of issue of admit tickets," the guidelines said. If any examination functionary or examinee fails to meet the self-declaration criteria, they shall not be allowed entry, the SOP underlined. Also, only asymptomatic staff and students shall be allowed inside the examination hall, the SOP stated, adding wearing face cover or mask is mandatory. The face cover or mask has to be worn at all times inside the examination centre by all, it underlined. Authorities concerned should plan out the examination schedule in a staggered manner so as to avoid overcrowding at any examination centre on any day, the SOP stated. Examination centres in containment zones shall not be allowed to function, it said. For pen and paper-based tests, the SOP outlines that the invigilator will sanitise his or her hands prior to the distribution of question papers or answer sheets and the examinees will also sanitise their hands before receiving or handing back these materials. The collection and packing of the answer sheets at every stage will involve sanitisation of hands. The answer sheets will preferably be opened up after 72 hours have elapsed post collection of papers, the guidelines recommended. "Use of spit/saliva for counting and distributing sheets shall not be allowed," the SOP stated. The examination centre should have a designated isolation room for isolating any person who is found symptomatic at the time of screening or during examination, till such time medical advice may be sought. A clear policy on allowing or disallowing symptomatic candidates to undertake examinations shall be delineated by the examination conducting authorities in advance, the SOP stated. New Delhi, Jan 8 () Domestic traders body CAIT on Wednesday said the BJP should declare a trader as a candidate for the post of chief minister in poll-bound Delhi.
It said that no government in Delhi can be formed without support of trading community as it is one of the major and deciding vote bank.
"BJP should declare a trader as a candidate for the post of chief minister of Delhi which will polarise the political atmosphere of Delhi and across the country in favour of BJP in a big way," Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) said in statement.
The association said that traders from all over the country, including Delhi, demanded from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP President and Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP Working President Jagat Prakash Nadda, at Halla Bol rally here.
"With this, more than 15 lakh traders of Delhi, their employees and their families of more than 40 lakh people will unilaterally support the BJP, whereas the support of 7 crore traders from all over the country will strengthen the BJP and the government," it added.
Assembly elections will be held on February 8 in Delhi which will witness a triangular contest between ruling Aam Aadmi Party, Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress.
The results will be declared on February 11.

BJP should declare a trader as CM candidate for Delhi: CAIT

New Delhi, Nov 24 (PTI) Pending <keyword id="6402403" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="results">results</keyword> for various <keyword id="6398300" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Postgraduate">postgraduate</keyword> and <keyword id="6476913" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Undergraduate">undergraduate</keyword> courses will be declared by <keyword id="6360099" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="delhi-university">Delhi University</keyword> by November 30, the <keyword id="6355014" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="delhi-high-court">Delhi High Court</keyword> was informed on Tuesday which observed that DU's "neck is on board" if it doesn't do that. The submission was made by the varsity in response to an application alleging that there was violation of the court's earlier order when DU had undertaken to declare all the results by October 31. A bench of Justices Hima Kohli and Subramonium Prasad noted the submission made by the counsel for DU that the remaining results of postgraduate and undergraduate courses shall be declared by November 30. The bench deferred the order waiting for updated instructions of DU's counsel Mohinder Rupal. The petitioner, represented through advocate H S Hora, stated in the application that DU has violated the October 12 order where under the varsity itself had undertaken to adhere to the timeline for declaration of results of PG and UG courses and the last results had to be declared by October 31. On October 12, the high court had also directed the varsity to upload the mark sheets on its website and that no student should be asked to physically come for collecting them. The high court had earlier asked the Delhi University and its examiners to expedite the evaluation process of online open book examination (OBE) and declare the students' results preferably by the first week of October.
