The pre-Series A funding round was completed in 12 months after the seed funding round. ElectricPe shared that it will use the combined capital of $8 million to deepen technology investments and scale operations. "We've received positive consumer response to our offering of a single app to find, use and pay across any charging or swapping station. Our belief has always been in stage-by-stage capitalisation as we ramp up our operations and create a holistic full-stack consumer-facing platform," said <keyword id="669240" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="avinash-sharma" source="Orion">Avinash Sharma</keyword>, co-founder &amp; CEO, ElectricPe. The startup offers EV charging infrastructure to EV users. Since its inception in May 2021, ElectricPe claims to have built 10,000 live charging points in Bangalore. In a span of 7.5 months, the ElectricPe app usage has increased by 30% month-on-month, with customers on the network completing 4 million green kilometres, according to the company’s estimates. “We are focused on investing in homegrown start-ups which have a strong vision and are proving their ability to provide a unique technology solution to the growing climate change issue. EV charging aggregator ElectricPe closes pre-Series A round at $5 million led by Blume Ventures

Kewsong Lee's decision to step down as Carlyle chief highlights the challenge private equity faces when transitioning from founders

Feminine hygiene startup <keyword id="7326219" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="sirona" source="Orion">Sirona</keyword> on Tuesday said it has raised ₹100 crore in funding from <keyword id="12352571" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="good-glamm" source="Orion">Good Glamm</keyword> Group. The round also saw secondary buyout with early investors including seed and angel investors taking an exit, a statement said. Sirona - which makes products like PeeBuddy and menstrual cups - said it aims to hit the ₹500 crore revenue mark in three years. In April, Sirona had raised USD 3 million in series A funding round, co-led by NB Ventures and IAN Fund. The company said almost one million women use Sirona Menstrual Cups, and over 3 million units of PeeBuddy and over 4 lakh Sirona Feminine Pain Relief Patches have been sold. “We had multiple term sheets from VCs and other strategic investors but the combination of money and immediate value which the Good Glam Group offered was unparalleled. We have been profitable for the last 3 years and are growing steadily," <keyword id="9138019" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="sirona-hygiene" source="Orion">Sirona Hygiene</keyword> founder and CEO Deep Bajaj said. He added that the partnership with The Good Glamm group, given their edge in terms of content and offline access will help the company scale faster while staying profitable. Feminine hygiene startup Sirona raises ₹100 crore from ScoopWhoop's parent Good Glamm Group

New Delhi, Jan 21 () Tech firm Skylo on Tuesday said it has raised USD 103 million (about Rs 730 crore) in funding from SoftBank Group and others.
 The company, which has raised USD 116 million in total funding to date, saw participation from SoftBank Group in series B and was joined by series A co-leads DCM and Innovation Endeavors, alongside Moore Strategic Ventures, a statement said.
 It had raised USD 13 million in series A round, the statement added.
 Skylo makes affordable and ubiquitous network that connects any machine or sensors.
 It leverages the cellular Narrowband Internet of Things (NB-IoT) protocol via satellite, making it possible to instantly connect billions of sensors on objects and machines in remote areas. 
 Skylo's new satellite connectivity leverages existing geostationary satellites to bring reliable connectivity without the need to add new infrastructure in space.
 The statement said Skylo has completed successful commercial field trials with a major enterprise and government customers. Its customers include enterprise and government entities across industries, including automotive, railways, agriculture and maritime.
 "Skylo envisions a world where connectivity for machines, sensors and devices is as ubiquitous as the sky. This low-cost, global fabric of connectivity for machine data will be transformative for entire industries," Skylo co-founder and CEO Parthsarathi Trivedi said.
 The statement said Skylo will scale customer implementations, first in India and other emerging markets where it has already started implementing the technology in a range of industries.
 Skylo's service will be commercially available later this summer and the company is in commercial trials with users in the US and other world regions for subsequent launches and market expansion, it added.
 Skylo was founded in 2017 by Trivedi, Chief Technology Officer Andrew Nuttall and Chief Hub Architect Andrew Kalman.
 Its current board of directors includes board chairman former US Ambassador Terry Kramer, David Chao of DCM, Scott Brady and Harpinder Singh of Innovation Endeavors, and Trivedi.
