Prime Minister <keyword id="6354477" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Narendra-Modi">Narendra Modi</keyword> will launch the '<keyword id="6353716" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Jal-Shakti">Jal Shakti</keyword> Abhiyan: Catch the Rain' <keyword id="6359590" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Campaign">campaign</keyword> on <keyword id="129666" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="World-Water-Day">World Water Day</keyword> on Monday aimed to take water conservation at the grassroots level through people's participation. The campaign will be undertaken across the country, in both rural and urban areas, with the theme "catch the rain, where it falls, when it falls". It will be implemented from March 22 to November 30 -- the pre-monsoon and monsoon period in the country. The Prime Minister will launch the campaign at 12.30 p.m. via video conferencing, said a statement issued by the Prime Minister's Office (PMO). The campaign will be launched as a 'Jan Andolan' (public movement) to take water conservation at the grassroots level through people's participation. It is intended to nudge all stakeholders to create rainwater harvesting structures suitable to the climatic conditions and subsoil strata, to ensure proper storage of rainwater. After the event, <keyword id="82265" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Gram-Sabhas">Gram Sabhas</keyword> will be held in all the Gram Panchayats of each district (except in the poll-bound states) to discuss issues related to water and water conservation. Gram Sabhas will also take 'Jal Shapath' for water conservation. In the presence of the Prime Minister, Union Minister of Jal Shakti and the Chief Ministers of Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh will also sign Memorandum of Agreement to implement the Ken Betwa Link Project -- the first project of the National Perspective Plan for interlinking of <keyword id="6410614" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="rivers">rivers</keyword>. The agreement heralds the beginning of interstate cooperation to implement the vision of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee to carry water from areas that have surplus water to drought prone and water deficit areas, through the interlinking of rivers. This project involves transfer of water from the Ken to the Betwa River through the construction of Daudhan Dam and a canal linking the two rivers, the Lower Orr Project, Kotha Barrage and Bina Complex Multipurpose Project. It will provide annual irrigation of 10.62 lakh hectare, drinking water supply to about 62 lakh people and also generate 103 MW of hydropower. The project will be of immense benefit to the water starved region of Bundelkhand, especially to the districts of Panna, Tikamgarh, Chhatarpur, Sagar, Damoh, Datia, Vidisha, Shivpuri and Raisen of Madhya Pradesh and Banda, Mahoba, Jhansi and Lalitpur of Uttar Pradesh. It will pave the way for more interlinking of river projects to ensure that scarcity of water does not become an inhibitor for development in the country. PM Modi to launch 'Catch the Rain' campaign on World Water Day

<ul><li>The re-elected leader of the Aam Aadmi Party was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Delhi along with six other ministers in the presence of thousands of followers at the Ram Lila Maidan in Delhi.</li><li>There are no changes to Kejriwal's cabinet. The same six ministers have been retained and popular party members (and election winners) like Atishi and Raghav Chadha have been left out of the cabinet contrary to expectations.</li><li>"I had even invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi (for today's ceeremony) but he was probably busy, he couldn't make it," Kejriwal said during his speech post the oath taking ceremony.</li><li>The Delhi Chief Minister concluded his speech with a Hindi rendition of the American anthem in the fight for civil rights, "We Shall Overcome".</li></ul>Watch the entire swearing-in ceremony here:

 Here's the full text of Arvind Kejriwal's speech after he took oath as Delhi's Chief Minister. I have been sworn-in for a third time. It is not just my victory, it is the victory of each woman, each child, each mother, and each and every citizen of Delhi. In the last five years, we have only tried to bring a little relief to the lives for the people of Delhi. We have tried to bring in as much development as I can, and that will be our effort in the next five years too. Call your relatives in the villages and tell them that "our son Kejriwal has become the Chief Minister there is nothing to worry about." Some people Delhi in voted for the Bharatiya Janata Party, some voted for Congress, some voted for other parties but today as I am sworn in, I am the Chief Minister for all of them, not just the ones who voted for Aam Aadmi Party. I have refused to help any voter of Delhi because of his or her political affiliations. We put water pipelines, and got work done, even in areas which are known to vote for BJP. No matter which party you suppoer, no matter what your faith is, no matter what your caste is, turn up with your requests without hesitation, your work will be done. There is still a lot of work to be done in Delhi. I want to work together with everyone. Election is over. A lot of people said a lot of things about each other. A lot of rivals said some mean things about us but today we have forgiven them. I request my rivals too, let us work together to make Delhi a better place.  The Kashmir issue India suspended <a href="https://www.businessinsider.in/amit-shah-says-article-35a-and-article-370-giving-kashmir-special-status-will-be-annulled-in-rajya-sabha/articleshow/70530969.cms">the ‘special’ status given to Kashmir in August 2019</a> and shutdown <a href="https://www.businessinsider.in/politics/news/kashmirs-5-month-internet-blackout-is-the-longest-ever-imposed-in-a-democracy-and-its-stifling-local-workers/articleshow/73197027.cms">mobile and internet services in the strife torn valley for months</a> together to curb the potential backlash. This led to much consternation among other countries watching including the likes of Pakistan and China, aside from sections within the US. Speaking to the media at the Oval Office, Trump <a href="https://www.indiatoday.in/india/story/donald-trump-again-offers-to-help-india-pakistan-kashmir-1597424-2019-09-10">said</a>, “I am willing to help them if they want. They know that. That (offer) is out there.” However, India has always maintained that the revocation of Kashmir’s ‘special status’ is an “internal” matter and not a bilateral issue between India and Pakistan, as Trump implied.
