<ul><li>The structure of the <keyword id="6605010" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="bad-bank" source="Orion">bad bank</keyword> is different from the conventional ARCs wherein the management of the stressed asset and the purchaser of the asset is typically vested with the same entity.</li><li>While the initial loans being transferred will likely be fully written down loans, the price of acquisition by the <keyword id="3428228" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="narc" source="Orion">NARC</keyword> and the manner in which the price will be determined is unclear.</li><li>The sellers are banking on the liquidity of the <keyword id="2503334" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="security-receipts" source="Orion">security receipts</keyword>, which has a sovereign back stop and therefore betting on likely early realisation.</li></ul>The finance minister of India has announced the Sovereign Guarantee programme for the security receipts (SRs) issued by the National <keyword id="2290620" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="asset-reconstruction" source="Orion">Asset Reconstruction</keyword> Company (NARC). Effectively, the amount is approximately 18% of the initial ₹2 lakh crore of non-performing assets (NPAs), which will be transferred to the NARC, mostly by the public sector undertakings (PSUs). The structure of the NARC is different from the conventional ARCs wherein the management of the stressed asset and the purchaser of the asset is typically vested with the same entity. Here, the NARC is effectively a parking vehicle, which will have the licence to issue the SRs and the management of the outcomes of the loans – i.e. the recovery on the SR will be done by a separate asset management company (AMC). Presumably, the separate asset management company, which will be majority owned by the private sector will have appropriate talent and incentives to maximise the recovery on the SR. The objectives are noble and the sovereign guarantee (subject to certain conditions) is a big step to untangle this knotty problem. While the initial loans being transferred will likely be fully written down loans, the price of acquisition by the NARC and the manner in which the price will be determined is unclear. Assuming that greater clarity will emerge as we go along, the “India version” of a bad bank addresses several issues with pricing and resolution of such loans. The first and most important aspect of this is, it relieves the bankers of “fairness” of the price discovery process and potential post-facto actions, which is a genuine concern of bankers. A sale at a price quoted by NARC won't be questioned later. The sellers are banking on the liquidity of the security receipts, which has a sovereign back stop and therefore betting on likely early realisation. A consolidation of the consortium loans in one single decision point is the biggest plus point of the construct. This will reduce delays and friction in decision making with regard to the underlying assets. As the sovereign backstop comes with strings attached, it will spur greater urgency in resolution of such assets. These “controllable” factors, which were a pain point, have been addressed in the new “Bad Bank”; the challenge remains in the systemic issues. Any resolution of these assets would still have to rely upon the existing legal system and processes under IBC [Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code] or Sarfaesi [act]. As we have seen there has been inordinate delays even for admission of cases in National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT). Notwithstanding the recent Supreme Court admonition to stick to timelines, the NCLTs are not fully equipped to handle the case load. Often they are short staffed and have a frustrating lack of understanding of commercial implications of inordinate delays. It's up to the Govt also to address the issue of enough benches and adequate resources for quicker disposal of cases. The second issue is the requirement of additional capital or rescue financing for turning around assets. Earlier <keyword id="159495" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="arc" source="Orion">ARC</keyword>s were not permitted to provide additional capital to the defaulters. That does not change with the NARC. Banks were reluctant to provide funds as well if a company is in ARC. That is also unlikely to change. This is a challenge that the asset management company has to overcome. Finally, the optimism around liquidity of the “sovereign-backed” security has to be tempered with more than a pinch of salt. The conditionality and uncertainty on the outcome of the resolution plans will make price discovery very challenging for investors. ₹1.7 lakh crore of listed tradeable SRs will likely pose a new set of challenges to the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), with regard to what kind of disclosures should be made to market, who will make such disclosures etc. How will regulations regarding trading basis non public price sensitive information apply to such SRs etc. In order for good liquidity, the tax on income earned from security receipts is a grey area particularly for domestic investors and domestic pooled investments like alternative investment funds (AIFs). In fact as it stands it’s a gift to foreign investors! To the detriment of domestic investors. Any new idea will have to start somewhere, and this is a good start and the rest of the ecosystem will evolve in due course. Hopefully, this will get the banks to focus on credit growth and the NARC will create economic value through revival or recycling of capital as the case may be.

<ul class="summary-list"><li>Extremist threats of anti-government violence are way up since the FBI's Mar-a-Lago raid.</li><li>If you learn of a specific, credible threat, how to best respond can vary, experts say.</li></ul>Threats of anti-government violence have surged since the FBI raid on Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate — not only on <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/civil-war-threats-double-dark-web-mar-a-lago-expert-2022-8">extremist-friendly platforms</a> like 4chan and Gab, but <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/mar-a-lago-tiktok-twitter-youtube-surge-pro-trump-violence-2022-8">on mainstream sites like TikTok,</a> Twitter and YouTube.The prompt reporting of a threat — be it made anonymously online, or by a loved one in real life — can save lives. But when and how should threats be reported, and what happens next? <h2>Be wary of 'shit-posting' </h2>Experts agree that the first step is decide if what you are seeing rises to the level of an actual threat or if it is just vague, hate-filled rhetoric — known colloquially in extremism monitoring circles as "shit posting."Law enforcement wants to hear about threats that are credible and specific, according to Elizabeth Neumann, an assistant secretary for threat prevention and security policy at the Department of Homeland Security during the Trump administration."It's not just 'I hate the FBI,'" explained Neumann, now chief strategy officer at Moonshot, a London-based agency that analyzes and counters online extremism.<h2>If you know who is making the threat, call local law enforcement</h2>If the person making the threat, or the location of a target, is known, then you should notify local police or whatever law enforcement agency has jurisdiction, the experts say. Knowing the identity of the person making the threat is an obvious advantage, Neumann said."When a loved one calls local law enforcement and talks to another human being and says, 'I have concerns,' then that person can ask followup questions right away," she noted."They can make a determination — is this threat imminent? Do we need to get somebody out there right away? Or can this wait until the next business morning?"These are the kind of things you can do when a human person picks up the phone and calls, rather than someone telling law enforcement about an anonymous post online."Dropping a dime on a loved one or even on a casual Facebook friend is never easy, Warren Eller, chair of the Department of Public Safety at the John Jay School of Criminal Justice, told Insider."It sounds sort of Orwellian, the whole, 'Go and narc out your family members,' but the absolute best thing you can do is go to the local police station," Eller said.Act quickly, and don't try to intervene yourself, Eller said. Trying to talk the loved one out of any plan for violence may cause them to become alienated and more secretive, he said.<h2>If the threat is anonymous, contact the FBI</h2>But what to do if the person making a threat is doing so anonymously online? "The problem with most online conversations is you don't know where the user is actually based unless they self-identify," Neumann said."So if there is specific information in the post — like 'You know, I'm sitting in Florida right now. I think I'm just going to head over to Mar-a-Lago,' then sure, you could call Florida State Police and say, 'I saw this, and heads up,'" she said.But these online threats tend to come from people with hidden user identities. Anonymous threats are best reported to the FBI, which has nationwide jurisdiction and the ready tools, both legal and technical, to unveil the poster's identity. <h2>How to submit a tip to the FBI</h2>The FBI does not have a tip line dedicated specifically to extremist threats of anti-government violence, a bureau spokesperson told Insider.However, people can report such threats to <a href="https://tips.fbi.gov/">the FBI'S online tip portal</a> or by calling 1-800-CALL-FBI. Tips can be made anonymously.Moderators for sites like Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram also use these FBI tip resources to report threats they see, and in fact have a legal responsibility to do so, Neumann said. Eller said reporting any direct threat of violence to the FBI through its tip line "is going to get a pretty quick and sharp intervention."<h2>What happens after you report a threat?</h2>The FBI does the best it can, given the significant volume of reported threats, and moves very quickly to assess if the threats are specific and credible, Neumann agreed. "It's got to be an ideation of an act of violence at a specific time or at a specific location or against a specific target," Neumann told Insider."And then credibility would be evaluated based on looking at the user's history and the context of the conversation. It's hard to fully determine credibility from just one post. But they have analytic tools they use to help with that," she said.If the threat indeed appears specific and credible, the FBI can ask a court to require the platform to tell them more, including the poster's IP address and geo-location.Identifying who's behind an anonymous online threat can take days or even weeks. That's why it's so much better when an extremist threat is reported to authorities by someone who actually knows who is making the threat.<h2>The 'knock and talk'</h2>Once the threat-maker's identity is known, law enforcement will often conduct what's known as a 'knock and talk," Neumann said.An officer or agent will pay the potentially violent person a visit, and tell them, "Hey, we were alerted to this post, or this behavior. Are you aware that if you were to do this, it would be a criminal act?" she said."You're basically trying to assess this person. Is it 'Oh, gosh, we've got a problem on our hands?' Or were they just having a bad day and mouthing off? Sometimes they just need to be told, 'You can't rattle off like that because it scares people.'" <h2>More dramatic measures </h2>Depending on the state, law enforcement may be able to seek a court order to quickly remove weapons from the home under a so-called 'red flag' determination. In cases of an urgent, imminent threat, law enforcement may forego knocking and talking altogether and expeditiously seek an arrest warrant.It's important to remember, Neumann said, that the vast majority of people spreading violent extremist ideas are not actually violent."Most never take action," she noted."They use the internet to mouth off and nothing ever happens. But then one person does."

Point being, I'm nobody's reliable Democratic voter. And I am not voting for Biden/Harris because I have any hope of them "<a href="https://unitethecountry.com/">uniting</a>" the country or "<a href="https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-04-11/joe-biden-s-return-to-normalcy-campaign-has-echoes-of-1920">returning us to normalcy</a>." With some of the most prominent voices on the left twisting themselves into pretzels to <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/stop-making-excuses-protesters-act-like-bad-cops-portland-seattle-2020-9">justify rioting and looting</a>, and the US' major right-leaning party openly <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/trump-laura-loomer-marjorie-greene-qanon-gop-party-conspiracy-theory-2020-8https://www.businessinsider.com/trump-laura-loomer-marjorie-greene-qanon-gop-party-conspiracy-theory-2020-8">embracing QAnon conspiracy theorists and bigots</a>, I'm confident this country is politically and culturally broken, and will be for some time. Biden and Harris have my vote despite their deplorable records in government. Those records are a primer on what they could do in the most powerful office in the world. I want them to be kept honest about those records. <h2>Biden made bad laws, Harris enforced laws badly</h2>Way back when there were <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/everyone-who-is-running-for-president-in-2020-2019-1">20-something Democratic presidential candidates</a>, I zeroed-in on Biden and Harris as the two I'd least like to see at the top of the ticket. Biden presented himself as America's folksy, work-across-the-aisle, "get stuff done" lawmaker. And boy did he get stuff done. Over four decades as a senator from Delaware, Biden <a href="https://theintercept.com/2019/09/17/the-untold-story-joe-biden-pushed-ronald-reagan-to-ramp-up-incarceration-not-the-other-way-around/">tried to outdo the Reagan-era Republicans</a> in crafting Drug War legislation. He helped create the role of federal "<a href="https://fee.org/articles/joe-biden-the-architect-of-america-s-disastrous-war-on-drugs/">drug czar</a>." He was instrumental in drafting the mass incarceration-exacerbating <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2019/06/25/us/joe-biden-crime-laws.html">1994 Crime Bill</a>. He <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/joe-biden-touted-crime-bill-1992-death-penalty-jaywalking-senate-2019-6">bragged about introducing legislation</a> that did "everything but hang people for jaywalking." Even in the 2000s he was <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/joe-biden-ban-raves-jail-promoters-ecstasy-2001-hearing-2019-6">the Senate's reliably out-of-touch Democratic narc</a>, pushing to criminalize raves, arrest party promoters, and urging local municipalities to use the "crack-house legislation" he co-sponsored in 1986 to bust up parties.Most Americans <a href="https://www.cato.org/blog/55-americans-favor-decriminalizing-drugs">now favor the decriminalization of drugs</a> and recognize the damage wrought by mandatory sentencing and mass incarceration. Biden has supported nearly every US military intervention of the past half century (though to his credit, <a href="https://www.politico.com/story/2016/06/joe-biden-libya-wrong-224595">he opposed President Obama's intervention in Libya</a>, which proved disastrous). But Biden can't escape the fact that as chair of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, <a href="https://www.jacobinmag.com/2019/07/joe-biden-iraq-war-hawk-presidential-candidate">he enthusiastically whipped Democratic support</a> for President George W. Bush's invasion of Iraq — unquestionably the US' worst foreign policy fiasco since the Vietnam War. Harris' record isn't nearly as long as Biden's, but that doesn't mean she hasn't notched some dubious feats of her own. Awkwardly selling herself as both a no-nonsense prosecutor and as a woke, hip-hop loving, <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/kamala-harris-father-condemns-jamaica-marijuana-joke-2019-2">former pot smoker</a>, Harris' political career cannot be divorced from her work as a self-described "top cop." Though Harris says as a district attorney and California's attorney general she was a "progressive prosecutor," Harris was, in fact, both tough-on-crime and soft-on-bad cops. As Reason's <a href="https://reason.com/2019/06/03/kamala-harris-is-a-cop-who-wants-to-be-president/">Elizabeth Nolan Brown</a> put it:"Every attorney general fights for state power and police prerogatives. It's part of the job. But over and over again, Harris went beyond the call of duty, fighting for harsher sentences, larger bail requirements, longer prison terms, more prosecution of petty crimes, greater criminal justice involvement in low-income and minority communities, less due process for people in the system, less transparency, and less accountability for bad cops."As San Francisco's DA, Harris' office <a href="https://www.nbcbayarea.com/news/local/sfpd-crime-lab-case-from-a-z/1866446/">turned a blind eye for years</a> to a corrupt police lab technician whose work resulted in hundreds of convictions. She <a href="https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2019/jan/31/kamala-harris-laughed-jailing-parents-truancy">aggressively cracked down </a>on parents of truant kids. She <a href="https://www.ocregister.com/2019/09/11/kamala-harriss-criminal-justice-reform-plan-cant-be-trusted/">pushed to bar addicts</a> with prior convictions for selling drugs from Drug Courts, which allow non-violent drug offenders to avoid jail time if they complete a drug rehabilitation program. The progressive-leaning <a href="https://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:wYvRiW0ARkkJ:https://prospect.org/justice/how-kamala-harris-fought-to-keep-nonviolent-prisoners-locked-up/+&amp;cd=1&amp;hl=en&amp;ct=clnk&amp;gl=ust=clnk&amp;gl=us">American Prospect</a> wrote that as California attorney general, Harris "repeatedly and openly defied US Supreme Court orders to reduce overcrowding in California prisons," adding that "Harris and her legal team filed motions that were condemned by judges and legal experts as obstructionist, bad-faith, and nonsensical, at one point even suggesting that the Supreme Court lacked the jurisdiction to order a reduction in California's prison population."Also as AG, <a href="https://californiainnocenceproject.org/read-their-stories/daniel-larsen/">Harris' office fought to keep an exonerated man in prison</a> because his lawyers had missed a filing deadline, and only freed him from prison once compelled to do so by the courts. Harris' office tried <a href="https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2019-10-14/kamala-harris-offices-fought-payments-to-wrongly-convicted">to keep exonerated former prisoners from collecting financial compensation</a> from the state that wrongfully stole years of their lives. Her office was also known to "<a href="https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2019/08/kamala-cop-record/596758/">slow roll</a>" investigations into corrupt or abusive cops and prosecutors. So why am I voting for these ethically compromised, power-hungry career politicians? It's simple: Donald Trump has been president for almost four years. <h2>Look around, this mess is Trump's legacy</h2>This isn't 2016 anymore, where we can play "wouldn't it be nice" imagination games about how a brash political outsider could shake up the system and rise to the occasion. Much of what was feared about a Trump presidency has come to bear. On his watch, the GOP has decisively abandoned <a href="https://www.newyorker.com/news/our-columnists/donald-trump-and-the-gop-confirm-their-fiscal-conservatism-was-a-sham">fiscal conservatism</a> and sat idly while he personally dismantled the alliances that preserved the US-led <a href="https://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2018/09/28/donald-trump-unga-liberal-world-order-220738">post-World War II international order</a>. He has <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/trump-supporters-chant-send-her-back-president-attacks-ilhan-omar-2019-7">normalized casual racism</a> and <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/trump-broke-brains-conspiracy-theories-obamagate-vote-mail-coronavirus-2020-5">baseless conspiracy theory-mongering</a>. He has presided over <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/totally-under-control-filmmaker-alex-gibney-trumps-coronavirus-response-2020-10">the worst national coronavirus response</a> in the developed world, resulting in the deaths of nearly 220,000 Americans. <keyword id="6358883" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="politics">Politics</keyword> aside, <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/former-trump-officials-incompetent-liars-bolton-kelly-mattis-cohn-2020-9">he's a terrible executive</a>. Trump <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/trump-crazy-stupid-distraction-racism-conspiracy-theories-voters-2020-8">continues to fail</a> our country by every meaningful metric. As for his boasts of being a great <a href="https://www.npr.org/2020/10/16/921662530/trumps-and-biden-s-plans-for-criminal-justice">criminal justice reformer</a>, Trump deserves credit for championing prison reform by signing the First Step Act. However, Trump's Justice Department is <a href="https://www.brennancenter.org/our-work/research-reports/what-first-step-act-and-whats-happening-it">chipping away at its effectiveness</a>. He also reversed Obama administration policy and <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2020/02/26/trump-administration-says-that-militarizing-police-reduces-crime-is-that-true/">rebooted the federal government's program</a> of giving excess military equipment to local police departments. Just this week <a href="https://www.nbcnews.com/msnbc/opinion/trump-s-praise-extrajudicial-killings-cancels-out-his-law-order-ncna1243591">he celebrated</a> an extrajudicial police killing. And Trump's as pro-police union — the most immovable opponents of reform — <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/biggest-police-union-fop-endorses-trump-for-president-over-biden-2020-9">as it gets</a>. That said, wanting Trump gone by any democratic means necessary doesn't mean the Democrats get a pass. Concerns about the Democratic Party taking a hard left turn on economic and social issues are ones I share. We desperately need to address climate change, but the <a href="https://www.factcheck.org/2019/03/how-much-will-the-green-new-deal-cost/">Green New Deal</a> isn't remotely workable in its current form. The growing left-wing trend of using <a href="https://www.npr.org/2020/07/20/892943728/professor-criticizes-book-white-fragility-as-dehumanizing-to-black-people">racial essentialism</a> to achieve "justice" is one I wholeheartedly reject. And I think it's positively nuts for liberals to be <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/dont-make-social-media-tech-bro-twitter-facebook-arbiters-truth-2020-5">calling for billionaire tech bros to be the arbiters of truth</a> online. With hope, I'll be throwing rhetorical rocks at a Biden administration come January 20 and for four years thereafter. (And yes, <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/joe-biden-new-hampshire-crash-burn-shows-time-end-campaign-2020-2">I was an idiot</a> to declare Biden's candidacy dead after he wiped out in Iowa and New Hampshire.)Whatever objections I might have to a Biden administration's policies, I have faith that it would competently manage the machinery of government, <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/totally-under-control-filmmaker-alex-gibney-trumps-coronavirus-response-2020-10">rather than hollow it out</a> and replace it with nothing, <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/graphics/2020/politics/government-hollowed-out-weaknesses/">as Trump did</a>. I've never felt worse about voting for a presidential ticket, but I'm doing it this year, unapologetically and enthusiastically. My hands would probably be shaking as I shade in the ovals on the ballot, if pandemic-life hadn't robbed me of the ability to feel emotion. And yet I'm completely resolved in my decision to vote for the Democrats, simply because Trump and Trumpism must be repudiated by the greatest number of Americans as possible in the clearest of terms. For me in 2020, a third party protest vote just isn't as loud as a Democratic protest vote. The modern-day spin on "Romeo and Juliet," set around gang life in Brussels, struck a cord with audiences at the Toronto International Film Festival that year, as the movie was given its Discovery Award. That led to the filmmakers getting managers and agents, which got their work in front of the mega-producer Jerry Bruckheimer."For us it was just an honor that he would watch the movie," El Arbi said.But when they had a sit down with Bruckheimer in 2016, they didn't waste their chance: They told the producer they wanted to make the third "Bad Boys."What they didn't know was Bruckheimer had been trying to make the movie for close to a decade.Sony"Bad Boys II."Five years after 2003's "Bad Boys II" took in an impressive <a href="https://www.boxofficemojo.com/title/tt0172156/?ref_=bo_rl_ti">$273.3 million at the worldwide box office</a>, Bruckheimer, Bay, and Smith began discussing a third movie. It also began a revolving door of screenwriters and directors to the project. Bay left after two screenwriters took a pass at the movie (there was no bad blood, he makes a cameo in "Bad Boys for Life"), leading to Joe Carnahan ("Narc," "The Grey") taking the writer-director reins in the <a href="https://deadline.com/2015/06/joe-carnahan-bad-boys-3-will-smith-1201440459/">spring of 2015</a>. By that summer, <a href="https://www.comingsoon.net/movies/news/468725-sony-pictures-dates-16-films">Sony had announced</a> it wasn't just going to release one "Bad Boys" sequel but two, as "Bad Boys 3" was slated for 2017 and part four would open in 2019.Bruckheimer offered El Arbi and Fallah another franchise to dust off, Eddie Murphy's "Beverly Hills Cop 4." The duo began to develop that at Paramount and in 2017 shot the pilot episode of the FX series, "Snowfall."But then a bit of movie magic helped them.Things weren't progressing with "Beverly Hills Cop" and "Bad Boys 3," now called "Bad Boys for Life," found itself stalled in constant delays (the idea of a fourth movie was also scrapped) leading to Carnahan exiting the project due to <a href="https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/director-joe-carnahan-exits-bad-boys-3-984339">scheduling conflicts and creative differences</a> (Carnahan still has a screenwriter credit). El Arbi and Fallah were suddenly at the top of the depth cart, especially since Will Smith had seen "Black" and loved it.The duo quickly signed on and newcomer Chris Bremner was brought in to do the latest pass on the script.On paper, "Bad Boys for Life" should have been the latest example of an out-of-date franchise that had no business being back in theaters, but, surprisingly, El Arbi and Fallah may have brought this IP back from the dead.Sony(L-R) Martin Lawrence and Will Smith team up with a new breed of Miami PD cops in "Bad Boys for Life" played by Charles Melton, Vanessa Hudgens, Alexander Ludwig, and Paola Nuñez."Bad Boys for Life" finds Miami detectives Mike Lowrey (Smith) and Marcus Burnett (Lawrence) still wreaking havoc on the Miami streets, but after a sudden attack on one of them (that's all we're going to say, no spoilers), the duo suddenly realize they might be a little too old for the game. But teaming with Miami PD's new division, Ammo, Lowery and Burnett decide to go on one last ride to take down the bad guys.Thanks to the hilarious back-and-forth banter between Smith and Lawrence, impressive action, a great supporting cast (that includes Joe Pantoliano, Vanessa Hudgens, Paola Nuñez, and telenovela superstar Kate del Castillo), and a never-saw-that-coming third act twist, Sony could have 2020's first box office blockbuster hit.El Arbi said what he believes makes the movie work is its mix of highlighting trademarks from Michael Bay's time as director (there are some shots that feel almost like carbon copy Bay shots) with the talents of Smith and Lawrence for making the audience care about their characters while dishing out funny moments."We rehearsed a month before shooting and even while we shot," El Arbi said. "Will was really pushing to make it great."El Arbi said often when everyone broke for lunch during production a small group of people that included him, Fallah, and Lawrence would be in Smith's trailer going over the upcoming scenes for next week's shoot and tweaking them. Sometimes they even came up with whole new scenes.That's how the scene where Lowrey and Burnett pay a visit to a violent accountant high out of his mind on cocaine got in the movie (it's the, "I'm going to penetrate this man's soul with my heart" scene <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jKCj3XuPG8M">in the trailer</a>)."That wasn't in the script, but we felt we needed a big comedy moment there, so that was a scene we created during the shoot," El Arbi said. "Will and Martin wrote it down and then we had three days to find a location and cast the actor. If you want the taste of incompetence there are other sodas more readily available," the tweet read. The Twitter account is dedicated to promoting RC Cola, a cult-favorite soda brand that has been around since 1905. While Official RC Cola only joined Twitter in early April, it has quickly gained more than 10,000 followers with its cheeky tweets. Official RC ColaWednesday's tweet went viral, as "covfefe" began trending across social media.While some people were offended by the tweet or didn't think it was a good marketing strategy, Official RC Cola was quick to respond with a mocking SpongeBob SquarePants meme, taking the tweet to new levels of virality. However, one organization was not happy about the tweet's popularity - RC Cola's parent company, Dr Pepper Snapple."At this time we are working to actively pursue the deactivation of the fake account known as @OfficialRCCola with help from @Twitter," Dr Pepper Snapple wrote on Twitter on Wednesday. It's about getting that $100 million or $150 million box office. It keeps going up and up and that's all they shoot for. I think there's fatigue setting it. Look at the last one, "Solo," even though it opened big they thought it was going to be bigger. I think people are just like, chill out for a minute. Guerrasio: That being said, it seems for an actor there's a lot more opportunities on the TV and streaming side. Liotta: Now, yes. No question about it. And it's not a sin to do it. Back when I started, like '77 or so, if you were doing a television show your career was over. Or you were like Karl Malden, a great actor in some of the best movies from "Street Car Named Desire" to -Guerrasio: "On the Waterfront."Liotta: He was great in that. But then there was a shift in the business where this TV thing showed up and the movie roles dried up - especially as you get older (Malden starred on the TV show "The Streets of San Francisco" and was nominated for an Emmy from 1974-1977). It was smart for him because going to TV put a ton of money in his pocket. Guerrasio: So you dig doing TV?Liotta: Yeah, I'll miss doing "Shades" because it was just so full and rich. I don't mind doing TV at all. Guerrasio: But how do you feel about the Marvel movies and "Star Wars" movies? Are those projects where if you were offered a role you'd be into it?Liotta: I would explore it. I remember after my first movie, "Something Wild," I got a call, they wanted me to audition for "Batman." And I just said, "No, that's crazy." And that was the beginning of the comic book craze.<div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table float_right"><div><div class="image on-image">APRay Liotta loved working with Jennifer Lopez on "Shades of Blue," but admitted her discipline eventually got "a little looser."</div></div></div>Guerrasio: So you've been on a TV series with Jennifer Lopez for three seasons. What was it like? What really surprised you in how she works?Liotta: She had so many things on her plate so I was always impressed that she always knew her lines, and mine. I need a few days to let the lines sink in, I'm used to movies where you get a month or so. I love doing the homework because things get deeper and fuller. For this, you just have to commit. With Jennifer, at first it was a big question mark for me, they want to do this edgy thing, but she was really good. She had some really good scenes. As it wore on, I think she knew she was leaving, and I don't want to bash her but her discipline got a little looser. Guerrasio: You mean during this season? Because she knew the show was ending?Liotta: Maybe, I don't know. I don't know what her motives were. But all in all I had a really good time working with her. It was fun doing scenes with her. My favorite scenes from the show are with her because they were real juicy. Because in the show she's like a daughter to me. Guerrasio: When you see someone across from you maybe not fully into the work, distracted, are you the kind of actor that is going to pull them aside and say something?Liotta: No. No. No. She definitely was there with her lines and dedicated in terms of the work. Just every now and then she would come late and if you come late it's a domino effect. NBC was really strict about a 14-hour work day. They cut if off at 14. So if you're at the end of the day you may only get one or two takes of a scene, so that wasn't exactly the teamwork that was needed. Guerrasio: You've said in interviews that you didn't really figure out the Hollywood game until well after "Goodfellas." That's when you finally got yourself a publicist and started getting yourself out there more. What is different now for an actor compared to working back in the '70s and '80s?Liotta: I don't know how to get started now. The actors who are doing the superhero movies are the ones getting the leads in independent movies. Maybe if you get into a horror movie, it helps. But right now it's the superhero guys. But I'm just curious of the shelf life on that. They just beat those movies to death. And you can't blame the studios because from their point of view they don't give a f--- if the movie is good or bad, they need to answer to their shareholders. So I understand what it is.I didn't have a publicist up until "Goodfellas," I didn't know that was what you're supposed to do. Nobody was helping me. I had the agents, but back then I think I was with the wrong people at that time to get me to the next thing. Now people brand themselves. I just did a movie with Scarlett Johansson and Adam Driver, a Noah Baumbach movie. So here's the movie where they can use their acting chops. Adam is really a talented guy. He's doing it right but he's f---ing lucky to go and play Darth Vader.Guerrasio: Because now he can start calling his own shots. Liotta: Right. You become the top guy on the list. Guerrasio: You in a Baumbach movie, I like that.Liotta: Yeah. I'm a lawyer in it. Adam and Scarlett's characters are going through a divorce, he comes to me and I'm a lawyer who explains all these ways we can get stuff out of her in the divorce and he's like "no, that's too aggressive." So he ends up going to court and there he realizes that Scarlett has a lawyer that's really aggressive. So then he's like, "Oh, s--t," and he comes back to me to represent him.Guerrasio: So a dark comedy?Liotta: I don't know if dark but it's a slice of life. <div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table float_right"><div><div class="image on-image">Warner Bros.Ray Liotta hasn't worked with Martin Scorsese since "Goodfellas," but almost was in "The Departed."</div></div></div>Guerrasio: Are you a little bummed you're not in the Scorsese movie coming to Netflix, "The Irishman?"Liotta: At first I was, definitely. I don't know, I guess I wasn't their cup tea because I have never really done a movie for him since - no, there was something in "The Departed" that could have happened. But I had a movie I was already committed to so I couldn't get out of it. Guerrasio: Who would you have played?Liotta: Ah, it doesn't matter.Guerrasio: Out of all the memorable actors who have worked with Scorsese you are one of the few who only worked with him once.Liotta: The parts were just never right. I have seen every movie that he's done and I can't say, "Oh, f---, I should have been doing that." Like, "Wolf of Wall Street," who am I going to play?Guerrasio: "Hugo," who are you going to play in that?Liotta: [Laughs] "Hugo." That's a good movie, shame nobody went to see that. That was a really good movie. Ben Kingsley was great. But I'll be interested to see "The Irishman." Guerrasio: The whole de-aging thing.Liotta: Yeah. It's really going into a new thing of aging these people back. Everybody in the movie is pretty much in their 70s, so once I saw that I was like, "Oh, of course I wouldn't be asked." He's going to work with Joe [Pesci], and Bob [De Niro], and Harvey [Keitel], and Al Pacino. Guerrasio: "Goodfellas" showed up on Netflix not too long ago and it's crazy to think that a whole new generation is now being introduced to that movie. But also I have to think because of streaming more people are seeing your other movies like "Narc" and "Cop Land" more than ever before.Liotta: Younger people like 14, 15-year-old kids come up to me and they will say that they saw a movie of mine. I'm very, very lucky that I had two movies that I think will live for a long time. Guerrasio: Personally, I think more than two.Liotta: Yeah, I wish more people saw "Narc." And "Cop Land." Guerrasio: Do you actively go out and try to get roles that are more fun and lighthearted or does it come down to what is offered you?Liotta: Playing Frank Sinatra [in "The Rat Pack"] was a lot of fun. You're singing and dancing, that was a lot of fun. I did that in "Muppets Most Wanted," too. I mean, I've done it. They are there - "Heartbreakers" was like that, "Dominick and Eugene" was beautiful. But just for some reason, the bad guys just stand out in people's mind. And that's with any actor.Guerrasio: Who is the director you would drop everything right now and go work with, that you have never worked with yet?Liotta: Woody Allen, I would.Guerrasio: Even despite the allegations against him?Liotta: I believe what he says. I don't think he did what they accuse him of. <div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table float_right"><div><div class="image on-image"></div></div></div>Actor Ray Liotta <a href="http://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/2irbil/i_am_actor_ray_liotta_go_ahead_ask_me_almost/">conducted an Ask-Me-Anything session on the Reddit website</a> on Thursday to promote his new movie "<a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1216491/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1">Kill the Messsenger</a>," but most fans just wanted to get the inside scoop on the classic Martin Scorcese film "Goodfellas" which he starred in.
The top question of the thread surfaced a bit of trivia from the <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0099685/">1990 film, which had</a> Liotta playing real-life mobster Henry Hill. As one fan named <a href="http://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/2irbil/i_am_actor_ray_liotta_go_ahead_ask_me_almost/cl4pagu">richardwrinkle</a> observed, there was a lot of cooking scenes in the movie, so he wanted to know: was the food actually any good?
"Actually it was!," Liotta responded. "The sauce that I was stirring in Goodfellas is actually the sauce of Scorsese's mother. She had made it specifically for us."
Beyond the Italian cooking, Scorcese's mother had a role in the film as the mother of Hill's friend Tommy:

 So what else did Liotta reveal? His favorite line from "Goodfellas":
"F--- you, pay me!" he <a href="http://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/2irbil/i_am_actor_ray_liotta_go_ahead_ask_me_almost/cl4q6zx">said</a>. He also answered a couple questions stemming from the famous scene where Tommy appears to be angry after Hill tells him "he's funny." He said the scene was <a href="http://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/2irbil/i_am_actor_ray_liotta_go_ahead_ask_me_almost/cl4qwlr">improvised</a> and "just fun," which features Joe Pesci eventually blowing up on him seemingly out of nowhere.
"Would you say Joe Pesci is funny like a clown?" one redditor asked. Liotta responded: "No. Not in the least."

Liotta also said his favorite movies that stood out were "Goodfellas," "Narc," "The Identical," and surprisingly, "The Muppets Most Wanted." 
"Singing and dancing with Danny Trejo and The Muppets is a once in a lifetime thing," he wrote.
And despite his famous role as a half-Italian mobster, Liotta is not actually Italian, as one fan pointed out: "How does it feel to be the most Italian non-Italian on the planet?"

Let's say he's telling the truth. That's almost worse than if he's lying.
Here are the four big uncomfortable questions that arise from the story Chris Christie is telling today:
<ul>
<li>How did Christie not know? There were 117 days between when the Bridgegate story broke and when the governor learned that one of his Deputy Chiefs of Staff, Bridget Kelly, had called for the lane closures. One of his close confidants whom he just selected to run the New Jersey Republican Party, Bill Stepien, is also implicated. Despite the fact that increasing national attention was being paid to this story through the fall, Christie - who has a background as an aggressive prosecutor! - had no idea some of his closest allies were involved. Why was he so oblivious? Christie has been reduced to insisting that his staff has been out to control and lying to him about what they're doing. That's not an ideal talking point to have to lean on.</li>
<li>Why would Christie's appointees have thought this was a good idea? Politicians survive scandals of staff misbehavior all the time. But in this instance, the misbehavior was conducted on Christie's behalf, in order to execute a political strategy to benefit the governor. How did Christie create a culture in which his appointees in his administration and at the Port Authority would get together and assume this was something the governor would want them to do?</li>
<li>Why didn't anybody narc on Bridget Kelly? The governor says Kelly lied to him and said she had no involvement in the bridge lane closures. But Kelly wasn't the only person who knew Kelly was involved. In August, she emailed David Wildstein, Port Authority Director of Interstate Capital Projects: "Time for some traffic problems in Fort Lee." Wildstein is an old high school friend of Christie. Wouldn't Wildstein have told the governor, in the process of tendering his resignation, that Kelly had told him to do it? Bill Baroni, Christie's top appointee at the Port Authority, was also checking in with Wildstein about whether "Trenton" was happy with the handling of the closures. Why didn't Baroni tell the governor his staff had known?</li>
<li>When did Christie really learn about his staff's involvement? Christie described discovering the story in the Bergen Record yesterday morning after his workout. But he also said he hasn't slept well "the last two nights" because of his soul searching. If Christie didn't know about this story until Wednesday morning, why did it cause him to lose sleep on Tuesday night?</li>
