New Delhi, Clamping down on unauthorised investment advisory services offered in the name of '<keyword id="19268011" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="baap-of-chart" source="Orion">Baap of Chart</keyword>', regulator Sebi on Wednesday barred three entities from the securities market and ordered impounding illegal gains worth over Rs 17 crore. <keyword id="19264697" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="mohammad-nasiruddin-ansari" source="Orion">Mohammad Nasiruddin Ansari</keyword>, who described himself as an investment wizard, provided recommendations on stocks in the name of 'Baap of Chart' through the social media platform X and messaging app Telegram. The recommendations were given in the garb of providing educational training related to the securities market, according to Sebi. Besides Ansari, Padamati and <keyword id="19271004" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="golden-syndicate" source="Orion">Golden Syndicate</keyword> Ventures have been barred from the securities markets until further orders. Sebi directed them to cease and desist from acting as or holding themselves out to be investment advisors, whether using 'Baap of Chart' or otherwise. In its 45-page interim order cum show cause notice, Sebi found that Rs 17.21 crore has been accumulated during a period of just over two years from carrying out investment advisory activities, which are both unregistered and fraudulent. In view of receipt of fees for 'educational courses' directly in their bank accounts prima facie, the regulator concluded that Nasir, Padamati and Golden Syndicate Ventures are jointly and severally liable for alleged unlawful gains as an interim measure. "I cannot ignore the risk that the said Noticees (Nasir, Padamati and Golden Syndicate) may divert the alleged unlawful gains before directions for disgorgement/refund, etc, if any, are passed. "Further, I note that in his videos/ social media posts on 'courses' of Baap of Chart, Nasir repeatedly emphasises on providing access to live trading during his courses," Sebi's whole-time member <keyword id="183908" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="ananth-narayan" source="Orion">Ananth Narayan</keyword> G said in the order. Therefore, non-interference at this stage would result in irreparable injury to interests of the securities market and the investors, as per the order. "I am convinced that the balance of convenience lies in passing interim directions against them for preventing the continuation of any further fraudulent or unregistered activities in the interest of investors, and for impounding and retaining such quantified alleged illegal gains," Ananth Narayan G added. By indulging in such activities, the entities flouted the provisions of PFUTP (Prohibition of Fraudulent and Unfair Trade Practices) and Investment Adviser (IA) rules. Further, the regulator directed Nasir, Padamati, <keyword id="19271005" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="tabraiz-abdullah" source="Orion">Tabraiz Abdullah</keyword>, Asif Iqbal Wani, Golden Syndicate Ventures, Mansha Abdullah and Jadav Vamshi to jointly and severally disgorge the Rs 17.21 crore collected from clients/ investors through unregistered investment advisory activities. The markets watchdog also directed them to refrain from accessing as well as associating themselves with the securities markets for an appropriate period. The order came after Sebi analysed certain tweets on social media platforms X and Telegram, where Nasir was prima facie observed to be providing recommendations (buy/sell) through social media in the name of 'Baap of Chart' in the garb of providing educational training related to the securities market. Thereafter, the regulator initiated the examination against Nasir in order to ascertain whether he was engaged in offering investment advisory services without having Sebi's registration through social media/other means and thereby, flouting the regulatory norms. The examination period in the matter is from January 2021 to July 2023.

A significant percentage of companies in <keyword id="3658" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="india" source="Orion">India</keyword> believe the advent of 5G will herald a transformative era in the world of work, unlocking a wealth of opportunities for India's tech talent pool, says a report. According to the report by staffing company <keyword id="6381892" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="teamlease-services" source="Orion">TeamLease Services</keyword>, over 80 per cent of respondents believe that IT and banking and <keyword id="6354241" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="financial-services" source="Orion">Financial Services</keyword> will benefit from the 5G technology in terms of job creation and upskilling. The report titled "India's 5G rollout: Revolutionising the People Supply Chain" is based on responses of over 247 companies on the impact of 5G on the ecosystem and employment generation. "With substantial investments, such as the PLI scheme allocating Rs 12,000 crore to the telecom sector, with approximately 25 per cent dedicated to creating new jobs, we are poised for a positive outlook on job creation and upskilling," TeamLease Services CEO - Staffing, Kartik <keyword id="6386349" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="narayan" source="Orion">Narayan</keyword> said. This will boost confidence to harness the potential of 5G, creating unprecedented job opportunities, driving innovation and shaping a transformative future, he added. The adoption of 5G will have significant impact on industries such as <keyword id="6356925" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="bfsi" source="Orion">BFSI</keyword> (60 per cent), education (48 per cent), gaming (48 per cent) and retail and e-commerce (46 per cent), the report said. On a year-on-year basis, 46 per cent of participants anticipate job creation ranging from 61 per cent to 80 per cent within the first year of 5G implementation. "Telecommunications companies embracing 5G solutions present a promising growth opportunity. As telcos leverage the potential of 5G in network upgradation, migration, IoT/IIoT, mobility, network infrastructure, and network security, we anticipate increased hiring for specialised roles," Narayan said. This advancement creates new opportunities and drives demand for roles such as technical content writers, networking engineers, AI/ML professionals, UX designers, cloud computing engineers, cybersecurity specialists, data science and analytical experts and more, he added. The report, however, noted that the telecom industry is facing a considerable demand-supply gap of 28 per cent, which emphasises the urgent need for comprehensive upskilling and reskilling initiatives. Encouragingly, 88 per cent of employees expressed a preference for upskilling, indicating a strong desire to enhance their existing skill sets, the report said. Additionally, 11.2 per cent of employees showed a preference for reskilling, presenting significant opportunities in the job market for fresh talent, it added. The report also highlighted the impact of 5G on job creation over the next few years, with 41 per cent of respondents expecting an impact of more than 80 per cent on job creation over the next three years of 5G rollout. According to Narayan the impending 5G rollout is expected to lead to an 80 per cent increase in tech-related jobs. 5G adoption to unlock wealth of opportunities for India's tech talent pool: TeamLease

Although there has been a decrease in average salaries within the telecom industry, the report emphasises a 10.19% wage increase for the relationship manager role, positioning it as the highest-paying job in the Bengaluru market. Similarly, the game developer role in the media and entertainment sector closely follows with a substantial hike of 9.3%, also in Bengaluru. Out of the 17 industries surveyed, 11 have introduced new "hot jobs," while seven industries have introduced upcoming positions. These profiles include previously unheard-of roles such as Sr. Golang developer in the telecom industry, Sr. biostatistician in healthcare and pharmaceuticals, lead magento developer in e-commerce and tech startups, and robotics instructor in educational services. On the blue-collar side, popular profiles for 2023 include sales executive, electrician, AC technician and forklift operator. Moreover, there are several emerging job roles such as data science consultant in BFSI, media operations executive in <keyword id="34523" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="fmcg" source="Orion">FMCG</keyword>, DevOps engineer in IT and knowledge services, content specialist-game in media and entertainment, and <keyword id="5946911" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="emobility" source="Orion">eMobility</keyword> charging executive in automobile and allied industries, among others. Average salary growth dipped in FY23 but new hot jobs are emerging

E-commerce giant <keyword id="18635" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="amazon" source="Orion">Amazon</keyword> on Wednesday announced it now aims exports worth $20 billion from <keyword id="3658" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="india" source="Orion">India</keyword> by 2025, thus doubling its goal. In 2020, Amazon pledged to enable $10 billion in cumulative exports from India by 2025. The company said that cumulative exports by the Indian micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) via its 'Global Selling' programme are currently on track to surpass the $5 billion milestone. The programme took about three years to enable the first billion dollars, and the last two billion dollars have come in just 17 months, Amazon said during the '<keyword id="13813097" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="exports-digest" source="Orion">Exports Digest</keyword> 2022' event. To show how difficult it is for a lot of Indie dogs that are sent to dog pounds, and to encourage people to adopt these dogs, the NGO has come up with a campaign by production house 'Another Idea' and it is sure to melt your heart. Mumbai, Mar 20 () The RBI on Friday appointed two additional directors on the board of Yes Bank -- former deputy governor of the central bank R Gandhi and Ananth Narayan, an associate professor at SP Jain Institute of Management and Research. The appointment, effective March 26, will be for two years, the Reserve Bank said in a statement which comes a day after the private sector bank resumed full operations. March 26 is the day when the new management will take over after the administrator's term ends. Under the reconstruction scheme, which came into effect from March 14, RBI can appoint one or more persons as additional directors on the board of Yes Bank. On March 5, the RBI had superseded the board of Yes Bank and appointed Prashant Kumar, ex-DMD and CFO of SBI, as the administrator. The RBI-imposed moratorium was lifted on March 18. Kumar will take over as the CEO and managing director of the bank from March 26, seven days from the cessation of moratorium. The new board will be led by Sunil Mehta as the non-executive chairman and Mahesh Krishnamurthy and Atul Bheda as non-executive directors. SBI, being the single largest shareholder with almost 43 per cent stake, will have two board members -- deputy managing directors Partha Sengupta, who is also the chief credit officer at SBI, and G Swaminathan.
