According to doctors, this condition is more prevalent in young females. “Patients generally (are) young adults, (it’s) more common in females, and sometimes it can be associated with a rash on the face,” Dr Sheela Murali Chakravarthy, director- internal medicine, Fortis Hospital, Bangalore told Business Insider India. The prevalence of this condition is between 4-22 cases per one lakh population in India, <a href="https://indianexpress.com/article/lifestyle/health/samantha-ruth-prabhu-myositis-autoimmune-symptoms-causes-treatment-8237153/">according</a> to the Indian Journal of Rheumatology. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="What is Myositis?" comment="subhead" text="What is Myositis?">What is Myositis?</cmsannotation> Myositis is an autoimmune condition that causes weakness in the muscles especially in the thigh, or the arms. It is a condition where the immune system itself attacks the muscles of the body. “This illness comes under the category of autoimmune in which the body considers self as non self and starts producing antibodies against the muscles causing damage to the muscles,” Dr Chakravarthy added. Muscle pain in thighs, arms and shoulders, difficulty in swallowing, choking, skin rash over eyelids, rashes sensitive to sunlight are some of the common symptoms of Myositis. Doctors further added that patients usually face difficulty in climbing up stairs, or getting up from a sitting position, which gradually progresses to weakness. Fever, fatigue, joint pain, weight loss and fatigue are some of the other symptoms of this illness. There are different types of Myositis — Polymyositis and Dermatomyositis are the most common ones. Polymyositis causes muscle weakness which is closest to the trunk of the body, whereas Dermatomyositis causes muscle weakness in thighs, arms shoulders and skin rash. This disease can be associated with cancer also. “ Any age, right from childhood where it's called juvenile dermatomyositis, to elderly can be affected. It may be associated with cancers also,” said Dr Varsha Bhatt, MD medicine, consultant rheumatologist at Dr DY Patil Medical College, Hospital and Research Centre, Pune. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Is it a genetic disease?" comment="subhead" text="Is it a genetic disease?">Is it a genetic disease?</cmsannotation> According to Dr Bhatt, the number of studies suggesting Myositis to be a genetic disease are increasing. “Data show that having at least one first-degree relative with myositis is strongly associated with risk of it and that several human leukocyte antigen (HLA) regions are associated with it,” she said. Myositis is a treatable disease and can be cured with proper medical attention. “Early diagnosis is the key and that is possible if you consult a physician or rheumatologist early as soon as symptoms appear,” Dr Bhatt added. A patient suffering from this disease will have to be on medications for a long time to prevent this from relapsing. Steroids, oral or intravenous and immunosuppression therapy with drugs like methotrexate and azathioprine can help treat this illness. “Sometimes you may require high doses of intravenous steroids to halt the progression of illness faster. In resistant cases we use plasma exchange on dialysis machines, intravenous immunoglobulin and <keyword id="2811252" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="rituximab" source="Orion">rituximab</keyword>,” Dr Bhatt explained. Tata Motors to hike prices of passenger vehicles from November 7

In October 2021, the country's foreign exchange reserves had touched $645 billion. However since then, the reserves have been falling. The foreign currency assets (FCA), a major component of the overall reserves, rose by $5.772 billion to $470.847 billion during the week ending October 28. The country's reserve position with the <keyword id="6355408" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="imf" source="Orion">IMF</keyword> also went up by $48 million to $4.847 billion in this period. India's forex reserves rise to $531 billion during week ending October 28

Telecom Regulatory Authority of <keyword id="3658" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="india" source="Orion">India</keyword> (TRAI) Chairperson Dr P.D. Vaghela on Friday said that introduction of <keyword id="764355" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="5g" source="Orion">5G</keyword> technology will enable India to achieve the digital empowerment goal and improve the well-being of the people. "5G technology would offer significant improvements in network performance and is likely to transform industries and society, putting the country on an unprecedented growth trajectory. 5G would have a massive impact on various industries and on the overall economy," he said at a workshop here. Vaghela also said that India is the second largest telecom market in the world now with 117 crore telecom subscribers and 825 million broadband subscribers. He said that India has considered technology as a key element for two things, one for rapid economic growth and the second for social and digital inclusion. According to him, the Digital India programme has helped a lot in expanding the use of technology and the Digital India profile has seen a huge change in various sectors. The TRAI chief also highlighted how the stakeholders can cooperate for expediting infrastructure rollout for 5G deployment considering the issues and challenges in the northeastern states. He said that the main focus of the government is to provide internet and digital access to everyone, including underserved people, to ensure that every section of society gets connectivity at any cost. About the need of adopting new digital technology for social and economic development, Vaghela said that digitalisation of the economy and also social life is of utmost importance in today's world. Emphasising the need for digital literacy and digital infrastructure, he said that the development of digital infrastructure and connectivity to every household is a must and this is the only way a common citizen becomes able to explore the opportunities available in an economy. 5G will improve network performance in India: TRAI Chairperson

<keyword id="6378916" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="cement" source="Orion">Cement</keyword> companies are planning to hike the price between Rs 10 and Rs 30 per bag in November after a increase of about Rs 3-4/bag last month, said <keyword id="141615" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="emkay-global" source="Orion">Emkay Global</keyword> Financial Services Ltd. Emkay Global in a recent sectoral report said the average pan-India cement price increase was about Rs.3-4/bag in October 2022. On a month-on-month (MoM) basis, prices rose by 2-3 per cent in the East and South, and about one per cent in the West; while declining 1-2 per cent in the northern and central regions, the report said. "Cement companies are attempting price hikes of Rs10-30/bag across regions in November 22. Absorption of these price hikes will be uncovered over the next few days," said Emkay Global. Industry volumes likely to have declined by a high single-digit YoY and a low double-digit MoM, in October 22, owing to a high base, as the festive season was spread across October-November last year. According to the report, a delayed exit of monsoons and labour shortage owing to festive holidays impacted demand in October 22. The demand is expected to improve in upcoming weeks, with all major festivals ending and given the onset of a busy construction season. The cost pressure is expected to ease in coming quarters for the industry players and the industry margins are expected to bottom out in Q2, with peaking of costs, higher exit of cement prices and pick-up in construction activities in coming quarters, said Emkay Global. The international petcoke prices are down by about 30 per cent from the peak of $195/tonne. Further the dip in the fuel prices are expected to provide cost savings of at least Rs 150-200/tonne from Q3FY23, Emkay Global said. Cement companies plan price hike of ₹10-30 per bag

From July 2021 to June 2022, the tech giant's digital defence teams blocked 34.7 billion identity threats and 37 billion email threats. According to the '<keyword id="12280146" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="digital-defence-report" source="Orion">Digital Defence Report</keyword> 2022', attackers are adapting and finding new ways to implement their techniques, thereby increasing the complexity of how and where they host campaign operation infrastructure. Attacks against remote management devices are on the rise, with more than 100 million attacks observed in May 2022 -- a five-fold increase in the past year. "To lower their overhead and boost the appearance of legitimacy, attackers are compromising business networks and devices to host phishing campaigns, malware, or even use their computing power to mine cryptocurrency," the findings showed. Human operated ransomware is most prevalent, as one-third of targets are successfully compromised by criminals using these attacks and 5 per cent of those are ransomed. About 93 per cent of Microsoft's ransomware incident response engagements revealed insufficient controls on privilege access and lateral movement. The most effective defence against ransomware includes multi-factor authentication, frequent security patches, and <keyword id="10549538" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="zero-trust" source="Orion">Zero Trust</keyword> principles across network architecture, the report noted. Microsoft said it synthesises 43 trillion signals daily, using sophisticated data analytics and AI algorithms to understand and protect against digital threats and criminal cyber activity. "Nation state actors are launching increasingly sophisticated cyberattacks designed to evade detection and further their strategic priorities. Cybercriminals have begun using advancements in automation, cloud infrastructure, and remote access technologies to attack a wider set of targets," said the company. To date, Microsoft removed more than 10,000 domains used by cybercriminals and 600 used by nation state actors. "Foreign actors are using highly effective techniques -- often mirroring cyberattacks to enable propaganda influence to erode trust, impact public opinion, and increase polarisation -- domestically and internationally," the report cautioned. So how did it get to that point where you decided to self-finance the movie?Well, I'm always willing to bet on myself.But was there a scenario where, if you didn't come with money, it wasn't getting made?I slipped the script to a couple of people that I thought maybe would get it, and they didn't. And obviously, it's subjective. You have your own feeling of what the material is. Some people thought it was depressing because he's sick at the end. They didn't see the heart and the emotion and, ultimately, how inspiring it is.So I felt Mel had done it with "The Passion," maybe I try it.And if I did find someone to finance, then that's a whole other conversation because typically the person cutting the check also has notes and wants to be involved in the process.So I felt, you know what, I think it's better if I just step up and have complete control.How much did you have to put in? Are we talking half the budget? More?Let's just say I put millions and millions of dollars into the film — and then incurring other costs because we went over schedule in production, and there are clearances for the music.But I also had one friend come in who is not in the film business but believed in the project. That was definitely a conversation. But for me to carve out 18 months of my life, and then put on hold all the other stuff I was doing, it just wouldn't work.I had a feeling that Rosalind would do great behind the camera. I wanted to give her that shot. To have a first-time director and get these results, it makes me look a little smarter than I am.However, I cannot take credit for the movie's success because this is God choosing me to make the film. He knows finally I get to utilize all the talents and gifts that have been bestowed upon me for his greater good and to serve my part in his big picture. I mean, I prayed every day about getting this film made. Mel Gibson introduced you to Rosalind, and along with also costarring in the movie you leaned on him for advice through this experience. How much of an effect did "The Passion of the Christ" have on you?I remember seeing it on opening day. I was like, "Wow."I was really impressed with the quality of the film and him taking a chance and financing the film himself. That was something I always appreciated. It's his love letter to his faith in God, and it inspired me to do this. Did you ever think of him directing the movie?No. Rosalind really just put herself in that position. Her script really blew me away. And Mel also felt the same, that she was more than capable. I'm not at church looking to find material. I'm trying to find some peace and quiet to be able to worship. So he was the least likely person I'd expect to be pitching me, but he told me the story a couple of times and, finally, it registered for me.I realized, "Wow, I have been looking for something like this." It's a fantastic role, a powerful and inspiring story. It felt different and original to get people's attention.This is no disrespect to the work that you have been doing recently, but there is just an energy from you in this movie that's different.Listen, these kinds of things don't come around that often. Sometimes, you have to really go out and seek things that will challenge you. It's a blessing.When you began to learn more about Father Stu's life, did you see a lot of yourself in him?There are similarities: difficult childhood, lots of problems trying to find your purpose in life, what you're meant to do and meant to serve — all of those things. So absolutely I did.He had a lot of real life experiences, and I really appreciated the way he was able to communicate to people and speak through his own experience to the things that people might have been going through.That is a major point in this movie: Father Stu wasn't just talking about it. He had walked it.Exactly.You spent six years trying to get this movie made. Before having to put in your own money, was there ever a point where you were ready to shoot and the money fell out?That never happened, thankfully. That happened three or four times with "The Fighter." We would have a start date, and then something would happen. With this, David O. Russell and I were trying to develop it. We met with some writers, and a few took a crack at it, but we never liked what we got.So I decided I was going to go off on my own and work on it. I had a sense of urgency in wanting to get the movie made, so I wanted to find the right people as quickly as possible. But that took a while.When I finally met Rosalind and she handed me a script, I couldn't believe how on point it was. I felt if she could put it on the page, she could put it on the screen. You had to put on 30 pounds for the role. Would you ever go through that again?The weight gain was bad. It isn't something I would want to jump at doing again.But this was so much more important than just doing the actor "Raging Bull" thing. Everything about Stu was predicated on his physicality. To see him lose that but to gain the strength of a thousand men spiritually, it was unbelievable. I wanted the audience to see that and understand it.Watching this, I thought about Sylvester Stallone gaining weight for "Cop Land." Like you, here's a star known for his physique completely changing his body. He has talked about how, mentally, it was hard to gain the weight. Can you relate? Mentally, how was it for you to have your body change like that?I can definitely understand that. You have to force yourself to eat even after you're full. I tried to go the route that was supposed to be healthy.So not constantly eating burgers and milkshakes?No. I went to the doctor and tried to do it healthily. The first two weeks was a 7,000-calorie-a-day diet plan. And then the last four weeks was 11,000 calories a day.Hold on. How is that healthy?It's not but more healthy than the other way.What did you eat?A dozen eggs, dozen pieces of bacon, two bowls of white rice, a cup of olive oil to start the morning. More eggs, a porterhouse steak. That's seven to eight meals a day of this. I'm hoping lots more will come to me now, not just stories that I can star in but also can help others get their works off the ground.
