ITC acquires a 10% stake in this mom-and-child care brand as it looks to hop onto the D2C train

<ul class="summary-list"><li><keyword id="6377547" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="60" keywordseo="adidas">Adidas</keyword> announced a new Stan Smith sneaker made from a mushroom-based material.</li><li>The brand developed the material, called Mylo, in partnership with biotech company Bolt Threads.</li><li>The leather alternative is vegan and also avoids using plastic-based leather substitutes like PVC. </li></ul><p>A new Stan Smith shoe from Adidas is now available in an unorthodox material - mushroom-based "leather." Adidas <a href="https://news.adidas.com/originals/stan-smith-mylo--recreating-an-icon-made-with-underground-roots-of-mushrooms/s/3403a796-7db3-429c-8a3b-6378c2f962b0">announced the release on their website</a> and introduced "Mylo," a material made from mycelium, a substance found in the roots of mushrooms.</p><p>The sneaker brand is partnering with Bolt Threads, a biotechnology firm that develops plant-based materials, to make vegan alternatives for its traditionally leather-based shoes. </p><p>The Stan Smith Mylo shoes feature a natural rubber mid-sole, while the body of the sneaker is made from the mushroom leather. Adidas wrote in its press release that the mushrooms for the Mylo material are grown in vertical configurations and that the materials are ready to be harvested for leather in as little as two weeks. Adidas did not say in the press release how much the shoes will cost. </p><p>The Mylo sneaker is part of Adidas' broader <keyword id="49089" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="60" keywordseo="Sustainability">sustainability</keyword> goals, which include reducing plastic waste. Traditional leather alternatives like polyurethane (PU) and polyvinal chloride (PVC) are produced from plastic polymers and do not biodegrade, which is part of the reason Adidas and Bolt Threads looked for a naturally-derived alternative. </p><p>Earlier this year, Adidas released a version of the brand's classic Stan Smith shoes composed of 50% recycled materials, called Stan Smith PRIMEGREEN. And in 2017, the brand launched a sneaker called Parley, which was an update to its popular Ultraboost running shoe with parts of the shoe made from recycled ocean plastic, according to <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/adidas-releases-new-parley-ocean-waste-plastic-shoes-2017-4">reporting from Insider</a>. </p><p><a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/adidas-developing-plant-based-leather-shoes-2020-12">Insider reported</a> on the announcement of the mycelium-based fabric in December. <ul class="summary-list"><li><strong>Experts advise on how people can move away from fast fashion and make sustainable clothing choices.</strong></li><li><strong>How to increase the lifecycle of clothes through thrifting and upcycling while making it your own. </strong></li><li><strong>The conversation was part of Insider's event "For a Better Future: Bridging Culture, Business, and Climate," which took place on Tuesday, April 18, 2023.</strong></li></ul><p>As social media continues to spur on E-commerce, use-and-return policies are becoming more popular with retailers. The returns often aren't restocked and contribute to the <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/fast-fashion-christmas-shopping-clothes-returns-shein-zara-waste-mountain-2022-12?r=US&amp;IR=T">101 million tons</a> of garments put into landfills. Leaders in fashion and sustainability are working together to find a nexus between the two. </p><p>"Sustainability is one of the biggest issues in the fashion industry, and I feel like the word is losing its meaning, when we are regularly bombarded with messages about eco-friendly collections, recycled fibers, ethical fashion," Katie Brill, a Spokesperson for Junk Kouture, said during Insider's virtual event, presented by Deloitte, "For a Better Future: Bridging Culture, Business, and Climate."</p><p>During the session "Sustainable Style and Circular Fashion" Amanda Krause, senior lifestyle reporter, spoke with Brill and author, celebrity stylist, and principal at TyTryOne, LLC, Ty Hunter.</p><p>Brill gave examples of how  sustainability can be woven into high fashion. "Stella McCartney, she unveiled a prototype corset and trousers in Mylo, which is a lab-grown leather-like material, but it's from mycelium, which is like the root structure of mushrooms," Brill said.</p><p>Brill acknowledged that couture or special event garments might be out of budget for some customers. She recommended using renting apps and never underestimating the power of thrifting. She said these are ways people can contribute to the life cycle of clothes without waste or breaking the bank.  </p><p>Brill and Hunter also examined  how people are consuming fashion as a factor in sustainability. Brill said, "We need to go back to the society that we once were, a generation who bought quality to last them years. They bought garments that were true to their own individual style, creating a capsule wardrobe that wasn't buying into trends, and they upcycled."</p><p>Hunter grew up as the son of a single mother and learned from a young age how to "trick things out and make them special." In an era where Goodwill and Salvation Army weren't trendy Hunter adapted and make second hand clothes his own personal style. </p><p>Hunter said his love for fashion, styling, and designing existed long before styling celebrities like Billy Porter. His early forays into styling came from experimenting and blending elements of both "high and low" fashion, the practice of mixing designer and thrifted pieces together creating a unique fashion footprint. This method has become a Hunter specialty. Hunter said, " At a young age, I learned to do high and low, simply because I didn't have a choice. And so, I had to be creative."</p><p>When asked about the standout moments in his career, Hunter said dressing Billy Porter has been a highlight. He said, "Billy, I can say, is so fun, because he allowed me to do whatever. And I've noticed that, what I appreciate, I am seeing more young designers going that route." </p><p>Sustainable fashion, being an energy and resource-intensive industry, interrogates the impact that fashion has on the environment. Brill noted, "It's all about creating products that have the lowest possible negative impact on the environment from the creativity side of space." </p><p>"It's extremely difficult, if not impossible, just to be a sustainable fashion brand, especially on a large scale. What brands can do, however, is be totally transparent about the sustainability mission," Brill said. </p><p>The conversation moved to circular fashion, which is the overall extension of a garment's lifecycle. Brill said, "it's really about keeping items and materials in circulation, instead of always creating new ones." For Brill it is easier to continue to recycle garments and not contribute to waste than to create an entire sustainable brand. </p><p>Hunter closed with a piece of advice for those seeking to use circular fashion methods to create runway ready looks. He said, "Start in your closet. A lot of people don't know. I tend to go through things in my closet, and if it has meaning, I'll keep it. If not, I'll trick it out and make it different and make it something so unique." Hunter notes that there's always time to find a creative way to make a piece from a thrift store or a closet new. </p><p>In terms of their favorite upcycled or tricked out pieces Hunter said, "I was in Brazil, and I got this tank top made out of can... You know when you pop the can for the soda?" </p><p>Brill said, "I would say one of my mom's killer suits from back in the day. She used to rock it."</p>

The silk fibers that spiders make are durable, soft, and can withstand a high degree of tension without breaking, similar to steel.&#xa0;</p><p>To Widmaier and his team, it was the perfect source of inspiration for a sustainable material derived from "four billion years of life on this planet," a focal point in the company's mission statement. But these products involve essentially smashing together a mix of muscle and fat tissues - not creating actual pieces of flesh that mirror the real thing. What could be missing is a good scaffold, a delicate structure on which the cells can thrive.</p><p>Ecovative wants its mushroom technology to be that scaffold. The company's existing structures - boxes, walls, light fixtures and even a leather-like fabric called <a href="https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/boltprojects/the-mylo-driver-bag">Mylo</a> - are made from mushroom roots (or mycelium) <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/ecovative-turns-mushrooms-into-packaging-ikea-dell-2016-8#so-how-does-it-work-first-the-company-takes-raw-byproducts-that-it-has-purchased-from-local-farms--things-like-old-corn-stalks--and-brings-that-to-the-ecovative-factory-in-upstate-new-york-where-its-sorted-and-cleaned-6">mixed with discarded farm materials like corn stalks</a>. Ecovative has recently been experimenting with growing animal cells on materials made from similar ingredients.</p><p>"The key thing mycelium does is go from a single-celled organism to a 3D structure in space," Eben Bayer, Ecovative's co-founder and CEO, told Business Insider. "We've been growing animal cells on it and they've been growing really well."</p><p>If it works, the partnership could help usher in the first slaughter-free products with the texture and structure of steaks and fillets.</p><p>The mushroom's unique structure is hard to find elsewhere in the vegetarian-friendly organism kingdom. Plants can only do so much. But fungi knows no such boundaries.</p><p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"><p class="source"><span>Shutterstock/hlphoto</span></p></div><p></p></div></div>"If you look at plant scaffolding, you're limited to the geometry of something like a spinach leaf," Bayer said. "With mycelium, we can make a sheet that's many feet long and however thick. We can control the density. It's this massive scaffold you can grow relatively inexpensively."</p><p>Ecovative's mushroom-powered structure could have uses beyond the cell-based meat space as well. In the plant-based food arena, for example, mycelium could be used as the foundation for new, even meatier versions of already popular vegetarian items like the Bill Gates-backed "bleeding" <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/impossible-foods-bleeding-veggie-burger-ingredient-gets-fda-green-light-2018-7">Impossible Burger</a> or the <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/lab-grown-meat-startups-burgers-chicken-fish-plants-cells-2018-7#you-can-buy-the-other-veggie-burger-that-bleeds-in-grocery-stores-made-by-los-angeles-based-beyond-meat-the-burgers-are-made-from-pea-protein-and-coconut-oil-2">Beyond Burger</a>.</p><p>Those companies could essentially "use our scaffolding and infuse it with their ingredients and flavorings," Bayer said.</p><p>Several other startups aiming to replace animal products with vegetarian options have turned to fungi for its preferential texture and naturally neutral flavor.</p><p><a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/vegan-pet-food-startup-peter-thiel-mouse-meat-now-selling-treats-2018-9">Wild Earth</a>, a startup making vegan dog treats, uses koji - the fungi that gives soy sauce and miso soup their umami kick - in its products. Similarly, startup <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/salmon-burgers-without-fish-made-by-thiel-fellow-2018-6">Terramino Foods</a> is exploring using koji as the central ingredient for its "salmon" burgers.</p><p>For now, Ecovative isn't sure which path in the sustainable food arena - whether it's cell-based meat or plant-based meat alternatives - the company will end up pursuing the most heavily. The company's overarching goal is to make its <a href="https://ecovativedesign.com/">mycelium design platform</a> available to everyone.</p><p>Regardless, Bayer said he sees a place for his company at the food-of-the-future table.</p><p>"This is the next natural step in this evolution to use natural products to make things," Bayer said. A startup that turns mushrooms into IKEA packaging wants to become the backbone of the lab-grown meat industry

<p>After ten years and two kids together, the Oscar-winning actress and <span>Coldplay frontman have amassed quite an empire <span>-</span> but what exactly is at stake if the two proceed with a divorce?</span></p>
<p><a href="http://www.eonline.com/news/525530/gwyneth-paltrow-and-chris-martin-s-rumored-280-million-split-what-s-really-at-stake-for-the-oscar-winner-and-the-coldplay-frontman" target="_blank">E! Online estimates</a> that Paltrow and Martin are worth <span>$140 million each, making their combined fortune a whopping $280 million. But reports of their wealth vary widely, with <span>Britain's </span><a href="http://www.thesundaytimes.co.uk/sto/public/richlist/article1024783.ece" target="_blank" class="tracklink3">Sunday Times</a><span> pegging their combined net worth at nearly $120 million in 2012.</span></span></p>
<p><span>But what is certain, is that between June 2012 and June 2013 alone, </span>Paltrow and Martin both made Forbes' list of the 100 highest-earning celebrities. Paltrow <a href="http://www.forbes.com/profile/gwyneth-paltrow/" target="_blank">landed at No. 71 with $10 million</a> and <a href="http://www.forbes.com/profile/coldplay/" target="_blank">Coldplay coming in at No. 14 with $64 million</a>.</p>
<p><span>So where's all the dough coming from? Let's break it down.</span></p>
<p><strong>Chris Martin:</strong></p>
<p><span>"Chris Martin is clearly the bigger earner in the relationship," Dorothy Pomerantz, L.A. Bureau Chief of Forbes, </span><a href="http://www.eonline.com/news/525530/gwyneth-paltrow-and-chris-martin-s-rumored-280-million-split-what-s-really-at-stake-for-the-oscar-winner-and-the-coldplay-frontman" target="_blank">told E! News</a>, explaining: <span>"With musicians like Coldplay it depends on touring, which is where they make the big money. So every year these guys go out on tour, they will sell out giant arenas and will make tons of money. It doesn't really come from the album sales, it comes from the touring."</span><span><br /></span></p>
<p><span>Indeed, Martin has admitted that Coldplay<strong> </strong><span>only owns a piece of their publishing rights, while their Universal Music label </span><a href="http://www.completemusicupdate.com/article/coldplay-re-sign-to-universal-publishing/" target="_blank">owns their catalogue</a><span>.</span></span></p>
<p><span>Martin confirmed to Howard Stern <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BM2ZOLrDX5A&amp;list=PLE3E79B3D7365FADA" target="_blank">during a 2011 interview</a>, <span>"No, we don't own hardly any of it…You'll have to talk to my manager, but we don't own it for at least 20 years or something."</span></span></p>
<p><span><span><span><span>"We own quite a lot of the publishing but we don't own much of the recording," he continued. "That's why people always think bands are a lot richer than they are because they never remember that bit."</span></span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 15px; line-height: 1.5em;">But out of anyone in the band, Martin doesn't have to worry, as he told Stern that the four members split their earnings "20-20-20-40," with the largest share going to him as lead singer-songwriter.</span></p>
<p><span>That breakdown fares well for Martin, whose band sold more than 60 million albums worldwide and whose last 2012 "</span>Mylo Xyloto" concert tour<span> grossed more than $170 million, according to </span><a href="http://www.nytimes.com/2013/01/01/arts/music/coldplay-at-the-barclays-center-on-sunday.html?ref=coldplay&amp;_r=0" target="_blank" class="tracklink3">The New York Times</a>.</p>
<p><strong>Gwyneth Paltrow:</strong></p>
<p>According to <a href="http://www.businessweek.com/articles/2013-06-20/gwyneth-paltrow-business-mogul" target="_blank" class="tracklink3">Bloomberg Businessweek</a>, Paltrow's films have grossed more than $3.9 billion worldwide. "Iron Man" alone accounts for $1.2 billion of that figure.</p>
<p>"When you are in a movie like 'Iron Man,' even if you are not the star and it makes so much money you get some of that back end," <a href="http://www.eonline.com/news/525530/gwyneth-paltrow-and-chris-martin-s-rumored-280-million-split-what-s-really-at-stake-for-the-oscar-winner-and-the-coldplay-frontman" target="_blank">explains Forbes' Dorothy Pomerantz</a>. "She is not getting <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/robert-downey-jr-avengers-paycheck-2013-4" target="_blank">Robert Downey Jr. money</a>  but she still gets a taste of it. She gets money from GOOP, she gets money from her cookbooks and her TV work...She has money coming from several different sources now, because she really is a brand and when you put it all together, it is around <a href="http://www.forbes.com/profile/gwyneth-paltrow/" target="_blank">$10 million</a>."</p>
<p>In addition to Paltrow's <span>150,000<span> </span><a href="http://www.goop.com/" target="_blank" class="tracklink3">Goop</a> subscribers <span>and her newest cookbook, 2013's <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Its-All-Good-Delicious-Recipes/dp/1455522716/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1395938191&amp;sr=8-1&amp;keywords=it%27s+all+good" target="_blank">"</a></span><a href="http://www.amazon.com/Its-All-Good-Delicious-Recipes/dp/1455522716/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1395938191&amp;sr=8-1&amp;keywords=it%27s+all+good" target="_blank">It's All Good</a><span><a href="http://www.amazon.com/Its-All-Good-Delicious-Recipes/dp/1455522716/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1395938191&amp;sr=8-1&amp;keywords=it%27s+all+good" target="_blank">"</a> debuting at No. 1 on the </span>New York Times<span> bestseller list, the 41-year-old also boasts lucrative endorsement deals.</span></span></p>
<p><span><a href="http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20800653,00.html" target="_blank">People magazine</a> reports Paltrow's portfolio includes: <span>Max Factor's Modern Icon campaign ($4.9 million), Boss perfume ($1.9 million), and Estée Lauder ($8.2 million). </span></span></p>
<p><span>In 2008 alone <span>-</span> the year <span>she became a face of Estée Lauder</span> and <span>the first "</span>Iron Man"<em> </em><span>came out <span>-</span> </span></span><span style="font-size: 15px; line-height: 1.5em;">Forbes</span><span style="font-size: 15px; line-height: 1.5em;"> estimated she made $25 million those 12 months alone.</span></p>
<p><strong>Real Estate:</strong></p>
<p>With her hailing from Los Angeles and Manhattan and he from London, the couple's real estate portfolio currently consists of five properties around the world: "a home in L.A.'s Brentwood neighborhood, a Manhattan apartment, a Hamptons estate, and a mansion in London's upscale Belsize Park neighborhood, which they bought from Kate Winslet in 2004. Additionally, they purchased the property next door and combined the two into a single large estate," according to <a href="http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20800653,00.html" target="_blank">People</a>.</p>
<p>Earlier this month, the <a href="http://www.latimes.com/business/realestate/hot-property/la-fi-hotprop-gwyneth-paltrow-20140319,0,2635038.story#axzz2x6nDKLSl " target="_blank" class="tracklink3">Los Angeles Times</a> reported the couple paid $14 million for a Malibu home, which will now reportedly be used as Martin's "<a href="http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2589976/Gwyneth-Paltrow-Chris-Martins-14million-Malibu-beach-house-bachelor-pad-bought-mystery-trust-days-split.html" target="_blank">bachelor pad</a>."<a href="http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2589976/Gwyneth-Paltrow-Chris-Martins-14million-Malibu-beach-house-bachelor-pad-bought-mystery-trust-days-split.html" target="_blank"></a></p>
<p>While the couple likely have a prenuptial agreement, if not, <span>California <span>-</span> the state in which they were married <span>-</span> is a community property state, meaning marital property is divided in half in the event of a divorce. </span></p>

Here's What's At Stake In Gwyneth Paltrow And Chris Martin's Multi-Million Dollar Divorce

<p></p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"></div><p></p></div></div><ul><li><strong>Misty Buckley is one of the most important people behind the scenes at this year's BRIT Awards, and is in charge of designing the awards show set</strong></li><li><strong>Her job is to make this year's set "bigger and better" than last year's show, which featured a George Michael tribute.</strong></li><li><strong>She's worked on&#xa0;Glastonbury, the 2012 Paralympics, the BBC Music Awards, and two Coldplay tours.</strong></li><li><strong>Over the years she's had some pretty bizarre requests.</strong></li></ul><p><br>Today is one of the busiest days of Misty Buckley's career.</br></p><p>As Production Designer for the BRIT Awards, the 38-year-old is making sure everything is in place for Wednesday night's glitzy awards show in London, which honours the best artists in UK pop music.</p><p>Buckley and her team are behind the stage where winners will receive this year's awards, which will also host performances from stars like Justin Timberlake, Ed Sheeran, Stormzy, Sam Smith, Rita Ora, and Dua Lipa.</p><p>She's so busy that she had to postpone our interview initially to get on a call with nominated artist&#xa0;Rag'n'Bone Man.</p><p>Despite this, she was never supposed to be a production designer. In fact, she initially started out in fashion, but got a taste for set design while planning her own fashion shows as a student at at Central Saint Martins art school.</p><p>She told Business Insider: "It was a time when Alexander McQueen was doing extraordinary and brave fashion shows in run-down buildings around London. I just started doing that with my friends as a sideline to my degree and got really into it."</p><p>Breaking out of fashion and moving into public and fine art, Buckley got involved with designing "obscure performance and installation art," and "breaking the&#xa0;boundaries of traditional theatre spaces."</p><p>However, while she had lots of ideas, she had no technical skills. So she went to evening college to study drafting - or hand-drawing scenery - to be used in television and film.</p><p>Her first job came from her tutor, who was a TV designer. "He used to design alot of televised music shows and performances, [like] Tina Turner and Spice Girls specials," she said. "He was looking for an assistant and rang me up."</p><p>Her first major job with him was as an assistant on the BRIT Awards. "That's how it all started," she said. "It's bizarre to now be at the other end of it as the designer."</p><p><strong>However, the BRITs are just the beginning for Buckley.</strong></p><p>Some of her most impressive design feats include working on Glastonbury Festival every year, or the closing ceremony of the Paralympics when London hosted in 2012.&#xa0;</p><p>She's also worked on the 2015 Rugby World Cup Opening Ceremony at Twickenham, the BBC Music Awards, and Coldplay's Head Full of Dreams World Tour and 2016 Super Bowl performance, as well as designing arena tours and TV performances for the likes of Elton John and One Direction.</p><p>In 2013 and 2014, Buckley won Set Designer of the Year at the Total Production International (TPi) Awards.</p><p>"It's not just just big projects. I like doing smaller projects as well with smaller artists who are breaking through," she said.</p><h2>Evoking the emotion behind the music</h2><p>The job involves a lot of research - mainly into the emotion behind a band or artist's music, according to Buckley.</p><p>"If it's an album from a band, it's really fun and important that you get into the storyline of the album and the narrative of where it's from and why they wrote it and how they were feeling," she said. "I try to communicate how the band are going to feel, how the band want to express themselves."</p><p>This can involve expressing the mood of a "sad and rich album" Like Coldplay's "Ghost Stories," which Buckley called "a love story and a breakup story." Or "Head Full of Dreams," which she calls an "enlightenment album" about "reaching out and connecting people."</p><p>Once she has the mood nailed down, she starts sketching.</p><p>"I'll spend hours sketching and pinning things on the wall, working out shapes and thoughts and concepts there," she said. "Then we'll start to get into some visualisation of those drawings, then some more technical drawings."</p><p>The "we" are the team in her studio who have "different strengths that can bring a project to life" - all while drinking a lot of coffee and green tea.</p><p>She added that the team always build a 3D model of a set. "That's quite special because it's a chance where the artist gets to imagine themselves in that world," she said. "I love seeing their faces when they get presented with their one to 100 version of themselves - it's priceless."</p><h2>Rising to the challenge - from Take That to Coldplay</h2><p>A lot of work goes into making sure that face is a happy one.</p><p>With such close ties to superstar bands and artists, Buckley has been asked to do some pretty bizarre and extravagant things over the years - but she's always risen to the challenge.</p><p>She's been asked to make a giant caterpillar to fit 10 dancers, pocket watches that open to reveal bubble machines, a flying motorbike and sidecar, a human jack-in-the-box, a hot air balloon made out of a thousand small balloons, and a giant gramophone that spits out flowers - and all of that was just for Take That.</p><p>Coldplay, and Chris Martin in particular, have also provided more than one challenge - but it was the first task they set her that solidified her relationship with the band.</p><p>While talking through initial ideas for the Mylo Xyoloto album and tour, the band asked Buckley whether she would work on the music video for a song they had just written, called Christmas Lights.</p><p>Buckley said Chris Martin turned to her and said: "How do you fancy designing a set for us for the video? It should look like a travelling theatre and will need to be somewhere in London."</p><p>And something like a rooftop wasn't good enough - Martin wanted it set "through the streets of London and by the river."</p><p>It was mid-November, and Coldplay wanted the video to be done in time for a Christmas release - meaning Buckley had a week to put something together.</p><p>"We all jumped in a taxi and drove around London, looking for the perfect site for our travelling show," she said. "We decided on the South Bank, so we could capture London at Christmas by the river."</p><p><strong>Here's how it looked:</strong></p><p></p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"></div><p></p></div></div><p>"Seven days later, the set had been designed, modelled and built."</p><p>On the day of the shoot the weather was expected to drop below freezing - but Buckley and her team shot the video through the night, until 5 a.m.</p><p>"The band were freezing, and poor Phil Harvey and Simon Pegg were appearing in the video in pape- thin lycra Elvis costumes. We were exhausted and frozen to the bone… But the results were amazing."</p><p><strong>You can watch the video below:</strong></p><p>Buckley added: "As we packed up and drove home from the set at&#xa0;7 a.m., I got a message from the band. 'Well done. We loved it.&#xa0; See you on the tour.'"</p><p>"Eight years later&#xa0;we are still dreaming up creations together," she said. "I think they might just have only just forgiven me for letting them freeze that night."</p><p>While working on "Ghost Stories," the team made 2,000 paper stars and toured them around the world.&#xa0;</p><p>"When we did the world tour, they came up with the idea of 24,000 flowers, and a huge flower curtain, and we toured that around the world for two years," she added. "It was absolutely unbelievable -&#xa0;we had to have a team of what we call horticultural technicians who would unravel the flowers every night and make sure they looked beautiful."</p><p><strong>Here's just one of Buckley's set designs for a Coldplay tour:</strong></p><p></p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"></div><p></p></div></div><h2>Making Glastonbury icons</h2><p>While the tours provide a challenge, her favourite job is working on Glastonbury Festival, which she does every year.</p><p>"You get asked to do the most bizarre things: [like get someone to] fly over people's heads or make a giant bike," she said.</p><p>One of her more memorable moments is sitting with Emily Eavis - co-organiser of the festival - who said: "Wouldn't it be nice to have a tower with some ribbons on, and what if we could climb up that tower?"</p><p>"We went along to the steel company who built the stages, and said we wanted a tower in the middle of the field that people could go up which would will be covered in ribbons," Buckley said.</p><p>Despite the fact it sits in the middle of the most windy, exposed area of the festival - and the company couldn't drill into the field - Buckley said: "We did it and built it and it's now become an icon of the festival, and it was just her and me, with a cup of tea, dreaming that up."</p><h2>The 'bigger and better" BRITs</h2><p>Despite all her experience working with artists around the world, the BRITs are where it all began - and it sounds like audiences are in for a treat this year.</p><p>"Last year was massive, wall-to-wall in the O2," Buckley said.</p><p>That show's highlights included a tribute to George Michael featuring Chris Martin, and duet from Ed Sheeran and Stormzy.</p><p><strong>This is what the preliminary graphics looked like.</strong></p><p></p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"></div><p></p></div></div><p></p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"></div><p></p></div></div><p><strong>...And here's how it actually looked on stage.</strong></p><p></p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"></div><p></p></div></div><p>"This year, my brief was to build and create a bigger and better set than last year," Buckley said.</p><p>"I thought: 'We're going to have to start building outside the O2 because we're really pushing the boundaries.' But we've managed to achieve a bigger set."</p><p>Those watching the awards on Wednesday can expect a vibe of metallics, like "warm silver Champagne and light gold," accoring to Buckley.</p><p>"It feels to me a bit more elegant - I feel like it's more feminine in a way," she said." There's a real elegance and lightness to the set even though it's huge."</p><p><strong>Her Instagram account gave a sneak peek at what she called "an enormous piece of sculpture" that looks like it "has grown out of the floor."</strong></p><p>Buckley said that biggest challenge of all is making sure each artist's performance fits into the set and they "do every band justice."</p><p>This involves "getting all of the creative for each artist's performance to make sure they have their own identity, that they work in synergy with the set, that they get the most out of it, that we can fit their stuff on the stage."</p><p>"The biggest challenge is to fit every single article of each set backstage and be able to turn it around," she said.</p><p>"It's making a lot of things fit into a small space."</p><p>Yet somehow, Buckley and her team seem to make it all fit - and the results are something like this:</p><p><em>The 38th BRIT Awards with Mastercard, hosted by Jack Whitehall, will take place at The O2 on February 21.
