With an aim to build in-house expert set, <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Indian+IT+firms">Indian IT firms</a> are now planning to bring back the <keyword id="6377812" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="bench">bench</keyword>. Recent reports suggest that leading IT companies have been spending heavily on external consultants. 
 
Some of the most prominent companies had been cutting down on the bench, aiming to boost operational efficiency and a margin boost. With an amplifying need of trained experts, the companies are now bringing the bench back. 
 
<a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Wipro+">Wipro </a>CEO TK Kurein told the business daily that "We will need a little bit of a bench for digital.” The company plans to train around 10,000 individuals on digital technologies next month. 
 Not just <keyword id="10862" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Wipro">Wipro</keyword>, but Tata Consultancy Services (<keyword id="6357150" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="TCS">TCS</keyword>) had also revealed that is was increasing its hiring target to 75,000 for the year, and hoped to exceed its goal of training 100,000 employees on digital technologies in FY16. 
 
Earlier, <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=TCS+">TCS </a>chief executive N Chandrasekaran, in a statement had said, "The reason for raising the hiring target for the year is to be able to have a little bit of a bench." 
 
"If you look at the results for the last few quarters, you will see payments to third-party consultants have been increasing. Companies have acknowledged that they cannot control this cost until they have the talent in-house," an analyst with a Mumbai-based brokerage firm informed the business daily. 
 
The move has come after the companies saw an increase in third party payments for the training of employees. TCS observed a rise of 15% year-over-year in the fees paid to external consultants. Infosys too had noticed an amplification of 55% year-over-year in its payments to the technical sub-contractors. 
 <keyword id="30331" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="HCL-Technologies">HCL Technologies</keyword> CEO Anant Gupta told ET, "The shift we are trying to see is from services being consumed or being bought as competency-based capability (time and material) and maybe fast forward 3-5 years it will move to outcome. The development follows the approval of the resolution plan of Piramal Capital &amp; Housing Finance Ltd to acquire the bankrupt company. Delisting of the shares has been done as part of the resolution plan of the <keyword id="6397591" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="piramal-enterprises">Piramal Enterprises</keyword>' subsidiary. "In pursuance of Regulation 3.1.2 of the <keyword id="53581" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="NATIONAL-STOCK-EXCHANGE">National Stock Exchange</keyword> (Capital Market) Trading Regulations Part A, and for reasons mentioned above it is hereby notified that the following security will be suspended from trading w.e.f. June 14, 2021 (i.e. closing hours of trading on June 11, 2021)," said an NSE circular. It noted that the company through announcement dated June 9, 2021, stated that no value was attributable to the equity shares as per the liquidation value of the company estimated by registered valuers appointed under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (Insolvency Resolution Process for Corporate Persons) Regulations, 2016. On June 7, the <keyword id="6358070" type="LOCATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="mumbai">Mumbai</keyword> bench of NCLT approved the resolution plan of Piramal Capital &amp; Housing Finance Ltd for DHFL. Piramal Capital &amp; Housing Finance Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Piramal Enterprises. The approval came after the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) on May 25 stayed the NCLT order directing DHFL's Committee of Creditors (CoC) to consider the settlement of its former promoter Kapil Wadhawan. Already the virtual reality glasses are close to the precision and resolution of the physical world around us, so it is actually possible to create a replica of walking around in Burberry, Regent Street store or in the Macy's Union Street store and do your purchases without leaving your homes," said Sikka. 
 
He has earlier said that he wants Infosys to be a $20 billion company by 2020. Sikka also talked to ET about the futuristic work that Infosys is doing with Toyota Motor Corp in making driverless cars and automated driving. 
 
"We see now digital connectivity, we see now computing making its way into places where they were never before -- so if you look at some places where we inhabit, cars for example, assistive driving, driverless car infrastructure has become quite commonplace...assistive driving capabilities are there in every car now...we do a lot of this work, we do a lot of this work in our own driving and automation of the driving experience for companies like Toyota and Boeing and so forth," Sikka said. He was speaking at the Kotak "Chasing Growth" conference in Mumbai. 
 
For its other long-time outsourcing customers like GE, Infosys is working on projects in diverse areas like industrial internet and technology components of machines such as landing gears for airplanes that GE builds. 
 
"What we can think of services that can transcend space and time constraints. One example of this is the work we have done with GE -- the landing gear traditionally used to have four sensors and the landing gear is an incredibly important part of an airplane..these systems need to have 100% reliability otherwise people die. We have recently together with GE instrumented these landing gears around 30 additional sensors..we can basically do everything that we can think of on the digital twin of the landing gear. All its operational behaviour, its operational parameters, its health, predicting its useful remaining life and how it intersects with the number of remaining flights planned, things like that," explained Sikka. 
 
He spoke about the inevitability of automation, and the impact it would have on jobs. "The shift to automation is inevitable. There is no doubt that it will happen, there's no doubt that it is already happening. It is not to make the horses run faster and faster or to feed them better or to give them better scheduling -- it is to turn the horse-cart into an automobile," he added.

And by the time SC’s stay came in after the weekend, the authorities had already chopped 2,134 of the targeted 2,600 trees. Now, the authorities have the authority to carry on the rest of the chopping. On October 4, BHC allowed it by refusing to consider Aarey Colony a forest area. It has been one of the most controversial judgments as hundreds of people took the social media by storm over the issue. Mumbai’s Aarey Colony is a green belt in suburban Goregaon which has more than five lakh trees. The island city of Mumbai is popular for its high rises. But, the city also has green belts in and around busy area, providing the much needed relief to the concrete developments. <ul><li>The Supreme Court directed the 10 rebellious Congress MLAs to speak to <keyword id="6354780" type="LOCATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Karnataka">Karnataka</keyword> assembly speaker at 6 pm yesterday. </li><li>As many as 16 MLAs — including 6 from <keyword id="123462" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Janata-Dal">Janata Dal</keyword> (JD) — had offered resignation to the speaker who didn't accept the resignations. </li><li>The MLAs accused assembly speaker Ramesh Kumar for not accepting their resignation.</li></ul>Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy said that he is ready for a trust vote in Assembly, as the crisis over his government deepens. As many as 10 MLAs from the Congress resigned from the government on July 1 which weakened the Congress and Janata Dal (S) coalition government. The MLAs had stayed holed up in <keyword id="6358070" type="LOCATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="mumbai">Mumbai</keyword> for days since the mass resignations as the crisis to Mumbai. A few silver lines of resolution came on Thursday after the Supreme Court directed the dissenting MLAs to appear before the Assembly on Thursday evening. The Apex court had also asked the Karnataka Police to provide protection to the MLAs — Pratap Gouda Patil, Ramesh Jarkhiholi, Byrati Basavaraj, BC Patil, ST Somashekar, Arbail Sivaram Hebbar, Mahesh Kumathalli, K Gopalaiah, HD Vishwanath and Narayan Gowda. The All India Congress Committee (AICC) had also registered a complaint against the rebel MLAs for not abiding by the party rules and staying illegally at a hotel in Mumbai. The situation also heated up when Congress party leaders like Milind Deora and Shikumar were stopped from entering the hotel premises. Later, a Section 144 which bans the assembly of more than four people, was also imposed on Wednesday in Powai area where the rebel MPs were staying. The MLAs had accused that the Speaker Ramesh Kumar was not accepting their resignations, even when they were in accordance with the Indian constitution. As many as 16 MLAs — including 6 from <a href="https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/india/karnataka-crisis-sc-asks-rebel-mlas-to-appear-before-speaker-at-6pm/articleshow/70169817.cms">Janata Dal (JD)</a> — too had tendered resignations. This comes after the resignation by Congress MLA R Roshan Baig, who resigned on June 10. "I don't understand what is the urgency for BJP. There have been instances where such impasses have taken months to be resolved. Whatever the pressure, I am not going to move an inch away from the law and procedure," Speaker K R Ramesh Kumar told <a href="https://www.thehindu.com/news/national/karnataka/karnataka-political-crisis-live-updates-july-11-2019/article28396367.ece">The Hindu</a>. “We are now 15 MLAs who want to resign but there is no formal acceptance by Speaker.
