New Delhi [India], March 1 (ANI): Oil marketing companies have announced a significant increase in the prices of commercial Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) gas cylinders, effective from March 1. Sources reveal that the rate of 19 kg commercial LPG gas cylinders has been raised by Rs 25.50, impacting consumers across various metro cities. The revision in prices comes amid ongoing fluctuations in fuel costs and market dynamics. According to the latest updates, the retail sales price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi will stand at Rs 1795 from March 1 onwards. This adjustment reflects the evolving landscape of fuel pricing and its implications for consumers. Comparing the revised prices with previous rates offers insights into the extent of the increase. In metro cities like <keyword id="19896626" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="kolkata" source="keywords">Kolkata</keyword>, <keyword id="19895282" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="mumbai" source="keywords">Mumbai</keyword>, and <keyword id="19895758" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="chennai" source="keywords">Chennai</keyword>, the prices of 19 kg <keyword id="20787104" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="indane" source="keywords">Indane</keyword> gas cylinders have also been revised upwards. Kolkata will witness a price hike to Rs 1911, while Mumbai and Chennai will see prices rise to Rs 1749 and Rs 1960.50, respectively. The escalation in prices follows a series of consecutive revisions in recent months. Previous prices of 19 kg Indane gas cylinders on January 1 and February 1, highlight the upward trajectory of fuel costs. On February 1, the prices of Indane gas cylinders varied across metro cities, with Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Chennai each having distinct rates. In Delhi, the price stood at Rs 1769.50, while Kolkata recorded Rs 1887, <keyword id="20787105" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="mumbai-rs" source="keywords">Mumbai Rs</keyword> 1723.50, and Chennai Rs 1937. These prices served as the baseline for consumers at the beginning of the month. However, with the advent of March 1, consumers witnessed a notable increase in the prices of Indane LPG gas cylinders across all metro cities. In Delhi, the price surged by 1.44 per cent (Rs 25.5), reaching a new rate of Rs 1795. Similarly, Kolkata experienced an increase of 1.27 per cent (Rs 24), resulting in a revised price of Rs 1911. Mumbai saw a rise of 1.48 per cent (Rs 25.5), bringing the price up to Rs 1749, while Chennai witnessed an increase of 1.21 per cent (Rs 23.5), setting the new rate at Rs 1960.50. The impact of these price hikes is felt across various segments of society, highlighting the broader economic ramifications of fluctuations in fuel prices. The increases underscore the challenges faced by consumers amidst fluctuating fuel prices and economic uncertainties. The Bombay Stock Exchange as well as the Reserve Bank of India are in the vicinity of the areas mentioned by the Mumbai Police. The move has been triggered by the decision of a senior politician Sharad Pawar which is in the opposition in the state-- to visit the Enforcement Directorate in connection with a corruption case at Maharashtra State Cooperative Bank. The ED <a href="https://www.moneycontrol.com/news/business/ed-registers-case-against-sharad-pawar-70-others-in-maharashtra-cooperative-bank-fraud-case-4471211.html" target="_blank">registered a case</a> against Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar -- an opposition leader in the state assembly-- and his nephew Ajit Pawar, among 70 other officials of the Maharashtra State Co-operative (MSC) Bank for an alleged fraud pegged at ₹25,000 crore.

 What are the restrictions imposed under Section 144? Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) of 1973 prohibits the assembly of four or more people in an area. According to the law, every member of such 'unlawful assembly' can be booked for engaging in rioting. The law also disallows carrying any weapon in the areas mentioned and people can be detained for violating it. The maximum punishment for such an act is three years. The cops can detain people for protesting or engaging in any activity that may be considered as intended to cause unrest. New Delhi, The increase in interest rates on home loans have affected the affordability of residential properties across all eight major cities during the first six months of this year, according to Knight Frank India. On Wednesday, real estate consultant Knight Frank India released its 'Affordability Index' for the top eight cities for the first six months of 2023 calendar year. The index tracks the EMI (Equated Monthly Instalment)-to-income ratio for an average household. It indicates the proportion of income that a household requires, to fund the EMI of a housing unit in a particular city. The index showed that higher home loan rates have reduced affordability across all markets so far in 2023. Ahmedabad is the most affordable housing market amongst the top eight cities, with a ratio of 23 per cent followed by Pune and Kolkata at 26 per cent each; Bengaluru and Chennai at 28 per cent each; Delhi-NCR at 30 per cent; Hyderabad 31 per cent; and Mumbai 55 per cent. A Knight Frank Affordability index level of 40 per cent for a city implies that on an average, households in that city need to spend 40 per cent of their income to fund the EMI of housing loan for that unit. An EMI/Income ratio over 50 per cent is considered unaffordable as it is the limit beyond which banks rarely underwrite a mortgage, it said. Knight Frank noted that affordability index witnessed steady improvement from 2010 to 2021 across the eight cities of India especially during the pandemic when the RBI cut repo rates to decadal lows. "The central bank has raised the REPO rate by 250 bps since then to address growing inflation. This has impacted affordability by an average of 2.5 per cent across cities and increased the EMI load by 14.4 per cent since then," the consultant said.

I will continue to remain in the party and serve as MLA,” Reddy told PTI. The move has come hours before the Karnataka assembly is set for a trust vote. In the meanwhile, a Section 144 is imposed around Vidhan Soudha area, where assembly of more than four people is banned, ahead of the vote. Supreme Court in its ruling yesterday in the Karnataka political crisis case had said that the MLAs cannot be forced to take part in the trust vote. While all the rebel MLAs were residing in Mumbai, Reddy was the only one who stayed back in Bengaluru and there were speculations that he may have been approached by the Congress for taking his resignation back. Congress also did not include Reddy’s name in the list of MLAs for disqualification saying he was an ‘exception’. Reddy while giving his resignation on July 6 had said that he is only resigning from the assembly and will continue to be in the party. Now the faith of the Congress-JD(S) alliance government in Karnataka is completely dependent on the trust vote, as the rebel MLAs in Mumbai are showing no sign of melt down. If this continues the HDK government will be reduced to a minority with 102 members after Reddy’s return. The ruling government went into a crisis mode after 16 of its MLAs from both the parties of the coalition government resigned early this months. For the last two weeks, the political crisis in the state raged on, as Speaker of the Assembly refused to accept them, taking them to court. One of the rebel MLAs Roshan Baig was also detained at Bengaluru airport and questioned, as he was stopped from taking a chartered flight, yesterday. The authorities seized finished and unfinished cartridges, packaging materials, and various sets of labels which were bring used to manufacture counterfeit HP printing supplies during the raids. HP has said that in addition to working with authorities to prevent counterfeiting of its products, the company also conducts audits of its supply chain. Further, large and medium-sized customers can request a Customer Delivery Inspection (CDI) if they suspect counterfeit products in their delivery. HP also allows its customers and channel partners to report counterfeit products on its <a href="https://ssl.www8.hp.com/h41268/live/index.aspx?qid=21008&amp;cp_r11400_us/en/ipg/hp_anti_counterfeit/sticky-nav/report-online">website</a>. The company claims that customers who purchase products through the Channel Partner Protection Audits (CPPA) certified partners are assured about the authenticity of their products. Earlier this year, Xiaomi had filed a complaint with the Delhi Police and over 13 lakhs worth of counterfeit Xiaomi products were seized from four suppliers in Gaffar Market, New Delhi. As part of the raids, over 2000 fake products were seized by the police.
