New Delhi, <keyword id="32870" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="auto" source="Orion">Auto</keyword> component maker Samvardhana <keyword id="135627" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="motherson" source="Orion">Motherson</keyword> International on Friday said it has inked a pact to fully acquire Bengaluru-based Rollon Hydraulics for an undisclosed amount. Rollon is engaged in manufacturing, assembly and supply of high-precision turned parts, spools, and other machined components with critical engineering applications for the agriculture and off- Highway segment from its two facilities based out of Bengaluru. "Our focus on being a solutions provider to our customers has been a driving force for this acquisition. We are getting access to a new industry segment of construction and material handling for our precision metal business," Motherson Chairman Vivek Chaand Sehgal said in a statement. The company believes this business is highly synergistic with Motherson's existing business and offers ample opportunities to grow this business in India, Mexico &amp; other geographies, he added. "This is our fifth acquisition in India in the past 12 months, reaffirming India's importance in our future plans," Sehgal noted.

Motherson Group to reportedly acquire Italian auto components maker Marelli – here’s what it means

Maruti Suzuki, Hero MotoCorp, Toyota, Motherson Sumi, Bosch, Mitsubishi Electric and Tata Autocomp are among the list of companies that have been approved for the scheme. PLI is a form of incentive from one entity to another, such as from the government to industries. It provides incentives to domestic industries to boost local production. The auto PLI scheme is aimed at giving a push to advanced automotive technologies and manufacturing of electric vehicles in India. The government said that the PLI scheme for the auto sector envisages to overcome the cost disabilities of the industry for manufacture of advanced automotive technology products in India. The incentive structure will encourage industry to make fresh investments for indigenous global supply chains of advanced automotive technology products. Reportedly over 100 companies had applied for the PLI scheme. A report by CNBC-TV18 said that incentives in the range of 8-13% would be given to companies that are making components for safety, flex fuels, compressed natural gas (CNG), liquefied natural gas (LNG), emission control, passenger convenience, fuel efficiency, and sensors, while a higher range of incentives — 13 to 18% would be given to companies making components for hydrogen and electric vehicles. Auto stocks turn outliers in a weak market as government approves 75 auto firms for PLI scheme

The duo, according to the agency, convinced investors their money would be invested in securities and cryptocurrencies based on recommendations made by an alleged AI supercomputer. This machine, the duo said, consistently generates enormous returns of up to 30% per year with monthly compounding interest.The agency, however, discovered that more than 90% of the firm's funds came from investors. The Kovars also did not use any funds received to trade securities, buy cryptocurrencies, or do any of the things they promised their investors. Instead, they misused investor money by transferring millions of dollars to Joy Kovar's personal bank account to pay promoters and to make Ponzi-like payments."The defendants targeted investors who were looking for safe products for their retirements and their children's educations," Michele Wein Layne, director of the SEC's Los Angeles Regional Office, said. "Investors should be wary of individuals and firms who guarantee double-digit returns with no risk of loss."A hearing is scheduled for July 26, 2021.The SEC's complaint charges the Kovars with violating the antifraud provisions of securities laws. New Delhi, Feb 10 () Shares of auto component major Motherson Sumi Systems on Monday fell by 5.5 per cent after it reported a 38.67 per cent decline in consolidated net profit for the third quarter ended on December 31, 2019. On the BSE, the stock plunged 5.56 per cent to close at Rs 124.95. During the day, it plummeted 8.23 per cent to Rs 121.40. On the NSE, the scrip fell 5.17 per cent to close at Rs 125.45. Motherson Sumi Systems Ltd on Monday reported a 38.67 per cent decline in consolidated net profit at Rs 340.32 crore for the third quarter ended on December 31, 2019. The company had posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 554.99 crore in the same quarter last fiscal, Motherson Sumi Systems Ltd (MSSL) said in a regulatory filing. Revenue from operations during the quarter under review stood at Rs 15,436.46 crore, as against Rs 16,233.65 crore in the year-ago period, it added. New Delhi, Feb 10 () Motherson Sumi Systems Ltd on Monday reported 38.6 per cent decline in its consolidated profit at Rs 340.32 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2019. The company had posted consolidated profit of Rs 554.99 crore in the year-ago period, the filing said. The consolidated income during October-December period declined to Rs 15,739.38 crore, over Rs 16,533.99 crore in the year-ago period. "We have intensified our focus on the areas we control. We continue to strengthen our operations at the unit level around the world and bring our greenfield plants to optimum levels," Motherson Sumi Systems Chairman Chaand Sehgal said. After Tata Motors, TVS Motor may raise money to run EV business

<ul><li>Tata Motors finally has a ‘BUY’ rating from CLSA after three years. </li><li>For the quarter ending in September, Jaguar Land Rover sold 128,953 cars, slightly down (-0.7%) compared to the same period a year ago.</li><li>Investors believe that the downtrend in sales may finally be coming to an end.</li><li>The expected stability in <keyword id="1159034" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="JLR-sales">JLR sales</keyword> has given hope to many ancillary companies like tyres, batteries and other auto parts makers.</li></ul>Months of despair have given way to some good news from Tata Motors. It’s British luxury car unit Jaguar Land Rover’s sales seem to be stabilsing. At least, that’s what the street believes. After three years of having a ‘SELL’ rating, Tata Motors has finally been upgraded to ‘BUY’ rating by global broking firm CLSA. Tata Motors’ share price spiked over 13% after the company’s second-quarter earnings.

 Between July and September 2019, Tata Motors reported a net loss of ₹216.5 crore but that was still a massive improvement from the same quarter in the previous year⁠— when the loss was nearly five times more. For the quarter ending in September, Jaguar Land Rover retail sales nearly the same (down 0.7%) as a year earlier⁠— but the losses were less because the company had cut costs. Jaguar Land Rover saw a 24.3% jump in its sales in China, which is a big market for the company. “JLR’s volume is showing signs of bottoming-out on a low base in China and the ramp-up of the recently upgraded Evoque model—the start of defender sales in 4QFY20 should provide a further boost,” the CLSA report said. Earlier this year, global rating agencies Fitch Ratings and Moody’s both had downgraded Tata Motors with a negative outlook. In June 2019, Jaguar Land Rover retail sales was down by 9.6% as compared to the same month the previous year. In May 2019 too, the company had seen a 12% decrease as compared to the same month in the previous year. “Against challenging market headwinds, for the third consecutive month we have achieved double-digit growth in China, benefitting from our local turnaround plan and performing ahead of the broader market. We have also outperformed shrinking markets in other regions,” said Felix Brautigam, Jaguar Land Rover Chief Commercial Officer in a statement. JLR cheer is spreading The market excitement is visible not just with Tata Motors’ share price but that of many ancillary companies in the business. For the <keyword id="34478" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="auto-industry">auto industry</keyword> which has been hit by a slowdown for a year now, the comeback of Tata Motors and JLR is a positive sign for many others. Stocks like Bharat Forge, Motherson Sumi, and Exide, which make parts for automobiles, are also celebrating what they believe is a light at the end of the tunnel. Motherson Sumi, the largest manufacturer of automotive wiring harnesses and mirrors for passenger cars, too saw its stock trading at a 10% jump on Tuesday afternoon.

 With the festive sales, the October report of the auto industry is also expected to finally get a sigh of relief for the players. New entrants like MG Hector delivered 700 cars on Dhanteras while luxury car Mercedes Benz delivered 600 cars on the festive day. “Passenger vehicle sales, which were in the doldrums since late last year, have shown positive sales trajectory this year in comparison to the off-take witnessed during Dhanteras 2018”, reported IANS. "In terms of passenger vehicle sales, we have witnessed a similar off-take pattern to last year's Dhanteras day," Vinkesh Gulati, Vice President of the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) told IANS.

She didn't want anything to be spoon-fed to me. And yet, I felt a familiarity with life at AT&amp;T, and when a job presented itself at the company where my mom is in leadership, I took it.Luckily, I've never had family or <a target="_blank" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/make-friends-coworkers-2019-4">coworkers</a> give me a hard time about working with mom. We even have the opportunity to put a lunch date right on each other's company calendar, which makes keeping in touch much easier.<h2 id="dd48a659-f32a-4ea9-9ed4-0cf86f36ccca">Having a mom and mentor in one can be complex</h2>In our situation, I get a mentor and a mother. There's no doubt that my mom is good at her job, and seeing her in this environment as a career woman has really enriched my understanding of who she is.Because of that, I really value her professional mentorship. There's a definite difference in her tone when she's speaking to me as a mom, versus as a mentor. As a mother, she tries to be understanding and soften the blow of any tough love. As a mentor, she's a straight shooter, reminding me to buckle up and get the job done.There's love in both deliveries, but sometimes it can be hard to take advice from my mom. Once or twice she's told me things I didn't want to hear. I might get annoyed with my mom about that, but at the same time I appreciate the honesty from my mentor.<h2 id="35a4d136-5dee-41ea-a01d-28dde70de324">My mom has a great understanding of my work</h2>In a big company like AT&amp;T, it's easy to let other departments handle their areas of expertise, without really understanding why they're important. The same can happen with family — we often only have a vague idea what our loved ones do.My mom has told me that since we work together, she has a better understanding of the value that my area of the company has. It's taught her about an area that she might not be aware of, if she didn't have family working within it. That can strengthen the organization because we recognize the potential for collaboration, and the value that everyone brings to the table.
