Dr. Renil Manat is on the top of the world as his long-time associate and family friend, Dr. <keyword id="15170344" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="morten-meldal" source="Orion">Morten Meldal</keyword> has won the <keyword id="520296" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Nobel-Prize-for-Chemistry" source="Orion">Nobel Prize for Chemistry</keyword>. Manat has a Ph.D. in <keyword id="6371068" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="chemistry" source="Orion">Chemistry</keyword> from <keyword id="166591" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="mahatma-gandhi-university" source="Orion">Mahatma Gandhi University</keyword>, Kerala under Dr. V.N. Rajashekaran Pillai, a former Chairman of University Grants Commission. The Keralite who has roots in Kozhikode and Thalassery, while speaking to IANS from Copenhagen, Denmark over the telephone, said, "It's really a happy moment of Dr. Morten <keyword id="15172635" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="meldal" source="Orion">Meldal</keyword> winning the Nobel prize for Chemistry with two others. I am associated with Dr. Morten Meldal for several years and it was in fact his invitation that brought me to Denmark." Manat said that he and his family were at Meldal's home for breakfast on Sunday. He said that Copenhagen is a hub of research in Biotechnology and Chemistry, adding that several Indian IT companies have also now set foot in Denmark. Manat did his Chemistry graduation from Malabar Christian College, Kozhikode, and his Post Graduation from S.N. College, Kollam followed by Ph.D. from Mahatma Gandhi University under the guidance of Prof V.N. Rajashekhara Pillai. Manat is now with Carlsberg Research Laboratory (CRL) and is associated with Meldal being invited by him to join his team in CRL along with a few other scientists. The Indian-born scientist speaks highly of Meldal and said that the Nobel Prize winner has been a major support base for him ever since he landed in Copenhagen. Manat's wife Chandini Renil is a pedagogue at European School in Copenhagen while Meldal's wife Phaedria is an entrepreneur and the family enjoys a warm relationship. Meldal had in between opened a biotech company where Manat was also associating. However, due to some licensing issues, it has to be shut down and Manat joined back in CRL while Meldel joined the University of Copenhagen. Meldel and Manat had developed a biodegradable packing material in 2008 and the patent for this is with the CLR. Manat is now working on innovative beer flavours and some of them are based on ayurvedic herbs. The Kerala-based scientist also said that there are chances of Meldel would come to Kerala to attend the Kerala Science Congress which is to be held in January 2023. According to a memo obtained by <keyword id="2543035" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="macrumors" source="Orion">MacRumors</keyword>, Apple marked the iPhone 5c as a vintage product in October 2020, which meant the company and its service providers could only provide certain repairs for the product, subject to part availability. On November 1, Apple will mark the iPhone 5c as an obsolete product, ending all repairs and services, the report said. Apple also said in the memo it would mark the third-generation <keyword id="101239" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="ipad" source="Orion">iPad</keyword> mini with Wi-Fi and TD-LTE as obsolete on the same day, it added. As per the report, iPhone 5c was an iconic iPhone released alongside the iPhone 5s in September 2013. The iPhone 5c was the first to be offered in a series of bright and vibrant colors, including blue, green, pink, yellow, and white, in an "unapologetically plastic" design. It also marked the first time Apple had released a lower-end iPhone model aimed at budget-conscious customers, with pricing for the 16GB model starting at $99 with a two-year contract in the US. Apple to declare iPhone 5c 'obsolete' by next month

Addressing the 70th plenary session of the North Eastern Council (NEC) in Guwahati, Shah said the process for the merger has already started. "The government led by Prime Minister <keyword id="6354477" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="narendra-modi" source="Orion">Narendra Modi</keyword> is giving priority to natural agriculture and digital agriculture and for certification of natural products, the process to form a multi-state cooperative society by merging Amul and five other cooperative societies has been started," he said. The MSCS will ensure the export of the products after its certification so that profit can go directly into the bank accounts of the farmers, he added. The <keyword id="1727112" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="gujarat-cooperative-milk-marketing-federation-ltd" source="Orion">Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd</keyword> markets its products under the Amul brand. Earlier on Friday, while speaking at the North-Eastern Cooperative Dairy Conclave in Gangtok, Shah emphasised the need to double milk production in the country over the next five years, not just to meet the demand in the domestic market, but also those of neighbouring countries. "We have a huge opportunity to deliver milk to countries like Bhutan, Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, and to explore this world market, the government is setting up a multi-state cooperative which will act as the export house," he had said. Amul to merge with five others to form a multi-state cooperative

<keyword id="6354552" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="hyderabad" source="Orion">Hyderabad</keyword> police have seized unaccounted cash of over ₹2.49 crore and apprehended three persons, officials said on Sunday. Acting on credible information, the Commissioner's Task Force, West Zone team, along with <keyword id="130273" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="jubilee-hills" source="Orion">Jubilee Hills</keyword> police, intercepted one two-wheeler, near Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Jubilee Hills around 11 p.m. on Saturday, and found the two riders moving with a bag containing ₹2,49,79,000. On enquiry, the duo disclosed that they are working under Lalith who is a hawala operator and as per his instructions, they came to Jubilee Hills and received a cash bag from <keyword id="15208131" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="botchu-ramu" source="Orion">Botchu Ramu</keyword>. Police also took Botchu Ramu in custody and on enquiry he disclosed that as per the instructions of one of his colleagues, Pola <keyword id="213654" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="satyanarayana" source="Orion">Satyanarayana</keyword> (who is now in Delhi), he received the said cash from one unknown person at Road No. 75,A Film Nagar, Jubilee Hills by showing one Rs 10 note bearing number 49B 847015. On the instructions of Satyanarayana, he had delivered the same cash to <keyword id="159059" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="sudhir-kumar" source="Orion">Sudhir Kumar</keyword> Ishwarlal Patel and Ashok Singh. As the arrested men failed to give proper account for this huge amount of cash, Jubilee Hills police seized the same under section 102 of Criminal Procedure Code and took three into custody. Later, they were let off after issuing notice under section 41 (A) of Criminal Procedure Code. Lalith and Satyanarayana are still at large. Botchu Ramu, manager, Boyance Infrastructure Bangalore, is a resident of KPHB, Hyderabad, and a native of Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh. Sudhir Kumar Ishwarlal Patel hails from Gujarat and Ashok Singh from Rajasthan, and both are hawala amount transporters. A total of 1,500 notes of Rs 2,000 denomination and 43,958 notes of Rs 500 denomination were seized from the duo. The Rs 10 note used for authentication in this Hawala transaction was also seized along with two cell phones and a Suzuki Access.
