New Delhi, Homegrown wearables startup <keyword id="20040649" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="ultrahuman" source="keywords">Ultrahuman</keyword> on Wednesday announced that it raised $35 million in a series B funding round to accelerate growth and research in the health monitoring space. The round saw participation from venture capital firms <keyword id="19903022" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="blume-ventures" source="keywords">Blume Ventures</keyword>, <keyword id="21026908" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="steadview-capital" source="keywords">Steadview Capital</keyword>, <keyword id="20320585" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="nexus-venture-partners" source="keywords">Nexus Venture Partners</keyword>, <keyword id="21026907" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="alpha-wave" source="keywords">Alpha Wave</keyword> and Zomato founder <keyword id="19901325" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="deepinder-goyal" source="keywords">Deepinder Goyal</keyword>. "This funding round marks a pivotal step forward in our journey to dominate the smart rings space, bringing us closer to our goal of being the market leader," <keyword id="21026909" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="mohit-kumar" source="keywords">Mohit Kumar</keyword>, co-founder of Ultrahuman, said in a statement. The Ultrahuman product suite includes a continuous glucose monitoring wearable called M1 Live, a smart ring called Ring Air, a home health device called <keyword id="21026141" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="ultrahuman-home" source="keywords">Ultrahuman Home</keyword> and a preventive blood testing product called Blood Vision. Their platform integrates glucose, sleep, movement, blood markers, and HRV, offering a comprehensive approach to health monitoring. The company said that Ultrahuman has seen remarkable growth over the past 12 months, becoming the second-largest player in the smart ring market while maintaining profitability. "Our vision of being the top player in terms of both active devices and geographic presence is within reach, thanks to our rapid expansion and the love we've received from our users," said Kumar. The company expanded into over 150 retail outlets worldwide, including locations like -- London's Selfridges on Oxford Street, Changi Airport in Singapore, and the Virgin megastore in Dubai. Moreover, the company mentioned that it is on track to surpass $100 million in annualised revenue run rate (ARR) by the end of 2024. "Our ability to make long-term manufacturing investments, supported by our profitability, is unique in the smart rings market," the co-founder noted.

The Noida-based company launched the smartphone yesterday. Bookings started today morning at 0600 hrs. 
 
"Dear friends, we are very grateful for your enormous response and your kind patronage and would submit that as of now we received approx. Six Lacs hits per second as a result of your kind overwhelming response, servers are over loaded," <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Freedom251">Freedom251</a> said on its website. 
 
"We humbly submit that we are therefore taking a pause and upgrading the service and will revert within or before 24 hours," it added. 
 The company has been set up five months ago by Amity University graduate <keyword id="3250964" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="80" keywordseo="Mohit-Kumar-Goel">Mohit Kumar Goel</keyword>. He launched the Freedom 251 at an event attended by BJP veteran Murli Manohar Joshi.

This Bengaluru-based Startup is celebrating Diwali in the most unique way possible!

The vulnerability, called "Rootpipe," appears to have been discovered by <a href="https://twitter.com/emilkvarnhammar" class="ProfileHeaderCard-nameLink u-textInheritColor js-nav">Emil Kvarnhammar</a>, a consultant at IT security firm <a href="http://www.truesec.se/">TrueSec</a>.
Rootpipe allows outside users to gain administrator-level access to Macs running OS X Yosemite, Mavericks, or Mountain Lion without a password. 
The security flaw gives attackers the opportunity to steal information, install malicious programs, or erase users' hard drives.
Kvarnhammar, for his part, appears to be waiting for Apple to patch Rootpipe before saying much about it:

Apple has not publically acknowledged the security flaw and is expected to patch it in mid-January 2015, <a href="http://www.zdnet.com/serious-security-flaw-in-os-x-yosemite-rootpipe-7000035372/#ftag=RSS86a1aa4">reports ZDNet</a>.

 Explaining their choices, <keyword id="6373044" type="CITY" weightage="80" keywordseo="Forbes">Forbes</keyword> put out an article, saying “These young men and women not only fill us with admiration but also, to borrow an acronym from their generation, major FOMO (fear of missing out—yes, that’s a thing). 
 
To compound this angst, let’s remember this list is not exhaustive. It is impossible to cover the geographical expanse of this country and reach every potential candidate.
