In fact, it is the biggest election victory in the country since Rajiv Gandhi swept to power in 1984, following India Gandhi’s assassination. The outcome for the BJP has been even better than what the exit polls had predicted like Chanakya News. 
 
The BJP has swept away parties like Mayawati’s Bahujan Samajwadi Party and Mulayam’s Samajwadi Party in Uttar Pradesh. BSP was completely decimated and even failed to open its account. 
 <keyword id="1575" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="Congress">Congress</keyword>’ national tally has been less than that of the BJP in UP alone. The BJP had won 251 seats and was leading in 31 constituencies, making its total tally to 282 as per the latest update. The Congress had won only 41 and was leading in five, managing just a total of 46, as per the latest update. 
 <keyword id="41281" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="NDA">NDA</keyword>’s tally stood at 337 (lead+win), while <keyword id="6355364" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="UPA">UPA</keyword>’s tally stood at modest 59 (lead+win). 
 
Several Congress heavyweights – Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar, PK Bansal, Kapil Sibbal, Sandeep Dikshit, Ajay Makan, Madhsudan Mistry, Sanjay Nirupam and Priya Dutt had to bite the dust. 
 
All the BJP-ruled states - Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh headed the BJP way. 
It remains to be seen what Modi does with this degree of political authority.

It runs on the <keyword id="6355645" type="COMPANY" weightage="40" keywordseo="android">Android</keyword> platform 4.2.1 (according to their <keyword id="6354576" type="CITY" weightage="40" keywordseo="Facebook">Facebook</keyword> page) and is going to have 16 or 32 GB on-board storage. The phones will come in boxes with tri-colours on them and will be available all over the country. 
 
We have already seen some NAMO merchandise, such as T-shirts and coffee mugs with Narendra Modi’s picture on them. But a phone named after the current Gujarat CM, takes the game to the next level. This just shows that gadgets will be a huge part of the upcoming 2014 election affair in India. But how many parties will pick it up, is yet to be seen. At the moment, this phone seems to be the only tech innovation labelled with a political figure. The phone will retail for Rs 16,000 and we have a hunch it will come with Narendra Modi’s wallpaper and a few NAMO apps as well.

The <keyword id="6366068" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="INTERNATIONAL-MONETARY-FUND">International Monetary Fund</keyword> (<keyword id="6355408" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="IMF">IMF</keyword>) has said that India's economy has recovered from a slump. On account of better exports and investment prospects under the Narendra Modi-led government, IMF has increased India’s FY2014-15 growth forecast to 5.6%. This forecast is 0.2 percentage point higher from the projection made in April this year. 
 
"In India, growth is expected to increase in the rest of 2014 and 2015 as exports and investments continue to pick up and more than offset the effect of an unfavourable monsoon on agriculture," the IMF said. 
 In its <keyword id="188983" type="COMPANY" weightage="80" keywordseo="World-Economic-Outlook">World Economic Outlook</keyword> update, the IMF also said that India’s economy would grow at 6.4% the next year. "India has recovered from its relative slump, and, thanks in part to policy and a renewal of (economic) confidence, growth is expected to exceed five percent again," said IMF chief economist Olivier Blanchard. 
 
The report comes as thumbs up to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who had promised to revive India’s economy that grew just 4.7% last year. Modi has been trying to minimise red tape, attract foreign investment and bring in global firms to manufacture in India for his ‘make in India’ initiative.
