The state rural livelihood mission (SRLM) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the UN World Food Programme for this. Around 200 women SHG enterprises are expected to gain business with Rs 1,200 crore annual turnover through this collaboration. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister <keyword id="6356836" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="yogi">Yogi</keyword> Adityanath said that this will almost double the loans received by the SHGs in 20 years. He said that the plan is to initiate local production of take-home-ration at the block level with back-up of the extensive SHG network of the rural livelihood mission covering 18 districts, 204 blocks and 42,228 anganwadi centres. Eighteen districts which would be covered under the project include Aligarh, Ambedkar Nagar, Aurraiya, Baghpat, Banda, Bijnor, Chandauli, Etawah, Fatehpur, Gorakhpur, Kannauj, Kheri, Lucknow, Mainpuri, Mirzapur, Prayagraj, Sultanpur and Unnao. Later, all 75 districts straddling 825 blocks are proposed to be covered under the programme. The Chief Minister, according to the government spokesman, said, that the SHG network will help reach at least 33.78 lakh beneficiaries to provide 240 days of livelihood to each woman. Under the Startup Village Entrepreneurship Project (SVEP) as many as 20,689 women have been linked to small industries. "The idea is to enable a woman from a poor family to get associated with an SHG and raise capacity and financial capabilities which would help them move out of poverty," said the Chief Minister. He said, the programme would make women independent and check harassment. Under the programme, SRLM would attain technological know-how from the UN world food programme and a nutrition plant would be established in Bighapur developmental block of Unnao and Malawan development block of Fatehpur. Besides, food technologists at the state level and regional coordinator in three to four districts would be appointed. The UN world food programme has helped women SHGs in Kerala, Rajasthan and Odisha. The objective of the programme is also to fulfil food requirement under the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS). "Under SRLM, selected women SHGs have been turned into micro-enterprises which have a bank account. The scheme would allow 3,000 women SHGs to become enterprises and would get self-employment with a monthly income between Rs 5,000 and Rs 6,000," the Chief Minister said. He further said that the SHGs came in handy in the battle against the pandemic. Women SHGs have made 94.26 lakh masks, over 50,000 PPE kits, 25.9 lakh school dress and around 14,000 litres of sanitizers in the pandemic. Bishow Parajuli, country director, United Nations World Food Programme, said the primary objective of the mission is to ensure sustainable livelihood opportunities for the SHG women through micro-enterprises. "This initiative holds enormous significance and relevance for Uttar Pradesh from the point of maternal and child health indicators as well. Take-Home-Ration will be produced in accordance with recipe plan, calorie and protein amounts prescribed for beneficiaries of the supplementary nutrition program of the ICDS and a scheme for adolescent girls, in the National Food Security Act (2013). Below are excerpts by Gaurav Gandhi, Director and Country GM, Amazon Prime Video India on how these limitations were turned into opportunities. The Marketing Campaign Paatal Lok’s marketing campaign had three dimensions to it. The first was to bring the title to life ‘Paatal Lok’ – a word that derives itself from Indian mythology, and make it relevant &amp; contextual for audiences. We borrowed the concept of the three realms – Paatal Lok, Swarg lok, Dharti lok - layering them with present day context, to construct a relatable yet intriguing concept. Central to the campaign was the concept, story and the characters – and that really was the core of the campaign. ‘Haathiram’ , ‘Hathoda Tyagi’ , ‘Sanjeev Mehra’ were all powerful characters and we put them in the context of the three realms. The third element of the campaign was the unique visual language of the show which made it totally stand out. The unique thing about the phases of this campaign were that in addition to our efforts (of anticipation, launch and sustenance), the love for the show inspired a huge wave of ‘fan’ led marketing. In addition to the great critic and media reviews, the show created a pop culture moment of its own that saw fan-art to memes to other brand’s doing ‘moment marketing’ using the three realms – Paatal Lok, Swarg lok, Dharti lok. All of it further added to the show’s appeal and fandom. Change in marketing strategies with the absence of OOH and other outdoor medium With the growing popularity of the show, the distinctly different worlds of the show or the ‘Loks’ have become a pop cultural reference. This thought was seeded by the marketing team in early stages of the campaign along with a distinct visual identity. The campaign kicked off with an intriguing teaser, which was originally supposed to be filmed, but the team quickly pivoted to create an animated spot (given the lockdown), with Jaideep Ahlawat (Haathiram) lending his powerful voice to it We realised that given the lockdown the Media choices will be limited so the team decided to go even bigger on social and digital media (with support from TV). The campaign had a lot of hooks to engage &amp; build intrigue – a good example of this would be the a cryptic significance behind the time of the release of the trailer i.e. 11:34 am IST. The time, if read upside down, spells HELL (Paatlal) – and this was only revealed when we provided a preview of the trailer on the microsite 12 hours before its official release at 11:34 pm IST. The talent , creators and the team at Amazon Prime Video continued to build on the excitement for the customers using themes linked to the ‘Loks’, ‘visual language’ or now ‘iconic’ dialogues from the trailer right till the day of launch. 24 hours before the show’s launch, the creators, producers and talent of the show turned (upside down) their Twitter profile pictures to build the narrative of an upside down/inverted world. Moment Marketing Paatal Lok saw huge organic flow of memes which shows ‘fandom’ &amp; ‘love’ for the show and its characters. The format for the distinctly different realms of the show was introduced by us on the trailer launch day to contextualize the 3 loks, and once audiences got intrigued and connected with it, several brands took note of the same and tapped on it for their social communication thus further propelling it into a big pop cultural moment. Paatal Lok will join the thousands of TV shows and movies from Hollywood and Bollywood in the Prime Video catalogue. These include Indian-produced Amazon Original series such as Four More Shots Please, Paatal Lok, The Forgotten Army – Azaadi Ke Liye, The Family Man, Mirzapur, Inside Edge and Made In Heaven, as well as award-winning and critically- acclaimed global Amazon Original series like Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, The Boys, Hunters, Fleabag and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, all on Prime Video, which is available at no extra cost for Amazon Prime members. According to an Economic Times report, Mukesh Ambani’s Jio has slowed down its plans to acquire and produce original content for web series and films are pending management approval. These plans are on hold until funds flow into this business. As content business is capital intensive, Jio which also has plans to go public to raise money, is awaiting some fund flow before it can get into the business. “The plans are ready and the teams are in place, but the hold-up is in the investments (into Jio) ,” sources told Economic Times. This is in spite of Mukesh Ambani’s statement at the annual general meeting last year. Their video consumption went up to 3.4 billion hours per month from 1.6 billion hours in 2018. “Doubling of these metrics at such scale is truly unparalleled. Our customers are actively engaged with us for more than 290 minutes per day on an average,” Ambani said at 2018 AGM. It is only natural that he brings this content viewership also home, into his own apps to create more value. But that dream is a bit far off. <keyword id="128682" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Netflix">Netflix</keyword>, Amazon &amp; Hotstar Jio has made few strides in the OTT space, after it acquired music app Saavn in 2018, and also saying that it would invest $100 million in it. The merged entity now has since been rebranded as JioSaavn, which claims to have 50 million songs in its kitty. Jio also has its own content platform, Jio Cinema which has movies along with TV series and clips. In spite of showcasing old TV series, movies and even new-age web series produced by AltBalaji, it is miles away in popularity from the reigning trio—Netflix, Amazon Prime and Hotstar. In addition, international content providers or OTT platforms are also going the extra mile to produce original India content, making it tougher for a newer Indian player to hold attention. These international players are putting money and star power behind their original content. While Netflix launched Leila starring Huma Quereshi in addition to ultra popular Saif Ali Khan-starrer Sacred Games and movies like Chopsticks which starred Abhay Deol, Amazon Prime too has spent millions on its new-age web show called Made in Heaven, Mirzapur after Four More Shots Please. Hotstar too launched its original series Hostages starring Tisca Chopra and Criminal Justice with actor Vikrant Massey. It is also doing an Indian version of popular US show The Office in Hindi. With this kind of money flowing into original content, delayed plans may affect Jio’s plans to have a lion’s share of digital offerings in the market.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is going aggressive and doing anything it can to win the power of seat in UP by playing caste card. 
 
In the re-shuffle, three ministers from UP were included in the council-Chandauli MP Mahendra Pandey (Brahmin), Shahjahanpur MP Krishna Raj (Dalit) and Apna Dal MP from Mirzapur Anupriya Patel (Kurmi-OBC). 
 
This time, Modi focussed on doers and performers, who can deliver on his vision of development and good governance. 
 
Apart from getting first time MPs on board, five junior ministers were dropped. 
 
Apparently, they did not deliver on Modi’s vision, and also because the party wants young faces in the council too. Some were even surprised to see their names in the axed list.
