Hector is now available in five variants -- Style, Smart, Smart Pro, Sharp Pro and Savvy Pro. The company said the SUV is available in five, six, and seven-seater configurations. The next-gen Hector has key safety features such as six airbags and a 360-degree HD camera. Hector was introduced by MG Motor India in 2019. MG Motor India showcased its vision for future mobility - 'Drive Ahead' - at Auto Expo 2023 here. The company unveiled a line-up of 14 production-ready vehicles from its portfolio at the expo. The device is expected to offer up to 12GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Coming to the camera department, the Motorola Edge 50 Pro will be equipped with a triple camera setup at the back consisting of a 50MP primary camera, a 13MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 10MP telephoto camera with 50x digital zoom. The company has claimed that the device will come with extensive AI-powered features for the cameras, including AI adaptive stabilisation and AI photo enhancement. In line with some of its recent smartphones, the Motorola Edge 50 Pro will also come with a vegan leather back. It is expected to be available in three colour options – Black, Purple and White. Motorola Edge 50 Pro to launch in India on April 3 – Everything we know so far

The funding was led by <keyword id="20642225" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="bennett-coleman" source="keywords">Bennett Coleman</keyword> and Company Ltd, Hindustan Times Media Ventures, alongside <keyword id="20642226" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="ushodaya-enterprises-pvt-ltd" source="keywords">Ushodaya Enterprises Pvt Ltd</keyword>, existing investors and high net-worth individuals, Pure EV said in a statement. The Hyderabad-based company said it is currently in the final stage of concluding its Series A1 funding round, amounting to USD 25 million with the participation of a foreign institutional investor. Concurrently, ongoing discussions are taking place with potential investors from Dubai, Hong Kong, and Singapore for Series A2 funding, targeting an infusion of USD 15 million, it added. "We will be rapidly expanding our pan-India sales network from 140 to 300 dealers in the next six months," Pure EV Co-Founder &amp; CEO <keyword id="20642224" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="rohit-vadera" source="keywords">Rohit Vadera</keyword> stated. Pure EV raises $8 million in latest funding round

German automaker <keyword id="6361865" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Volkswagen" source="Orion">Volkswagen</keyword> will kick off its electrification journey in India with the launch of its electric car ID.4 later this year as part of its global efforts of mass electrification, a senior company official said on Thursday. The company, which unveiled the ID.4, expects the Indian passenger vehicles market to grow 5-7 per cent this year while it is targeting 10-15 per cent growth for itself. "Our first step to the electrification journey in India begins with the ID.4...," Executive Director Sales International Operations, Volkswagen Passenger Cars Michael Mayer said here at the Volkswagen annual brand conference. He said the ID.4 is being brought in as part of the company's global efforts of mass electrification. It will be launched in the Indian market later this year. Globally, VW is leading in the electrification journey, he said, adding, as part of the company's commitment to the Paris Climate Agreement 2030, it is continuing efforts in various spheres, including the development of charging infrastructure that's key to acceptance of EVs, recycling of batteries, digitalisation and connectivity solutions. The company is offering different products from ID.2 to ID.Buzz globally targeting several segments of customers, Mayer said, adding that globally, VW's electric vehicle (EV) sales grew 21 per cent at around 4 lakh units in 2023. "This is not the end of the story. It is our goal to take this success to other markets," Mayer said. However, he added, "This would be a phased approach, wherein we will strengthen our current portfolio on the basis of brand positioning for the market." "India, needless to say, continues to be a key market for Volkswagen. India is a 4 million car market now and is expected to grow 5-7 per cent this year," he asserted. The Indian automotive industry is now ranked third in the world even surpassing Japan, Mayer said, adding, "Who would have thought it ten years back?" He said VW is committed to the Indian market and the company will continue to introduce its premium products over the next few years. Volkswagen Passenger Cars India Brand Director Ashish Gupta said the company's sales grew 8 per cent in 2023. The company had sold around 44,000 units. "Our target this year in 2024 is to increase it by 10-15 per cent," he added. The company will continue to expand its sales and service network to tap opportunities coming from Tier II and Tier III cities. He said the company is targeting to have a presence in 170 cities with 230 sales and pre-owned car touch points along with 150 service centres in 2024. Last year, it had set up 45 sales and service touch points, he said, adding that at present, the company has 193 sales and pre-owned car sales touch points and 145 service centres in 145 cities. Volkswagen to kick off electrification journey in India later this year with ID.4 launch

The variants Excite and Exclusive are priced at₹20.88 lakhs and ₹23.88 lakh, respectively. The British automaker who had a successful launch of MG Hector, is now doling out many attractive offers with the EV cars. Customers who have booked the car before January 17 will get a discount of ₹1 lakh. It is also offering a special warranty plan called MG eShield. This plan offers 5-year manufacturer's warranty for unlimited kilometers and 8-year or 1,50,000-kilometer warranty on the battery. The car which will be assembled at its Halol plant in Gujarat, is available for order in five cities – Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad. “The ZS EV is a globally-successful product that operates at the intersection of an EV’s sustainability, an SUV’s practicality, and a sports car’s performance. It comes with best-in-class features and tech capabilities at a compelling price point. We are confident that this unprecedented value proposition will incentivise more consumers across India to go electric,” said Rajeev Chaba, President and MD – MG Motor India. The ZS EV’s running cost is pegged at ₹1 per km, as per electricity rates in Delhi-NCR. The carmaker also said that it has already received 2,800 bookings in 27 days after it announced it in December. “The number of bookings received for the ZS EV outpaces the total number of EV cars sold in India in 2019,” the press release says. Windmill inspires wheels The MG ZS EV can go from 0-100kmph in 8.5 seconds. It does not look radically different from regular cars, and that is probably by design. It has windmill-inspired wheels, projector headlamps with daytime running lights, and keyless entry/lock. Internally, the ZS EV has an 8-inch panel that helps manage the car. It comes with six airbags, 3-point seat belts for all passengers, a PM2.5 filter and a sunroof. The engine is rated at 141 BHP and 353Nm torque. MG claims that the ZS EV offers a range of up to 340km. MG has also set up fast chargers at its dealerships in the five cities mentioned above. These fast chargers can charge the ZS EV from 0-80% in 50 minutes. Buyers can charge their cars for free at these dealerships for a limited time period. Apart from this, MG will install a 7.4kW AC charger at the home or office of the car owners. This charger can fully replenish the battery of the ZS EV in 6-8 hours. MG ZS EV’s advance bookings are higher than all of 2019’s EV sales

It’s launching the MG ZS EV in early December – a car that will hopefully make electric cars in India sexy. The British company which is now owned by Chinese SIAC entered the India automobile market with a mid-size SUV, MG Hector in June 2019 and received an overwhelming response. Lack of charging infrastructure All the <keyword id="6354973" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="electric-vehicles">electric vehicles</keyword> launched and yet to be launched have a rocky road ahead. And not just because the car sales in general is on a slow lane for the last one year. The cars need an extensive charging infrastructure and India had a mere 222 publicly accessible charging points in 2017 and that too in top cities. So MG is developing charging infrastructure as well. Days ahead of its EV launch, MG Motors launched the first 50 kW DC charging station at its flagship showroom at Gurugram – n partnership with Fortum Charge &amp; Drive India. They plan to add four more stations across Delhi NCR. It is planning to open them in Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad. “With an aim to be the leader in the EV segment in India, we are pulling out all the stops to ensure adequate charging infrastructure for our first EV customers. Our endeavour is to create a robust ecosystem for EVs, right from charging to end-of-life for electric vehicles in India and the installation of the first public fast charger is the first major step in this direction,” said Rajeev Chaba, president and managing director at , MG Motor India. However, it’s not alone. Tata Motors too is setting up 500 EV charging stations in five cities – Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad – over the next two years. What the Indian government is doing The Indian government has set a mission – to convert 30% of cars on the roads to electric by 2030. The Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), under the Ministry of Power, has been given the authority to set up charging stations across the country. In a study done by the BEE and Ernst &amp; Young, it was projected that by 2030, Delhi would have 22.6 lakh charging stations, Lucknow would have 6.3 lakhs while Nagpur would have 2.6 lakhs. And there is the problem of the cost. “The retail pricing has been determined to be ₹4 per minute of charging that the operator is likely to charge the EV user with capital subsidy,” the study said. “At least one charging station should be available in a grid of 3 Km X 3 Km in the cities and one charging station at every 25 km on both sides of highways/roads,” Power Minister RK Singh said recently. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman also announced tax subsidy for people who buy electric cars during the Union Budget. “To make electric vehicles affordable to consumers, our government will provide additional income tax deduction of ₹1.5 lakh on the interest paid on loans taken to purchase electric vehicles. This amounts to a benefit of around ₹2.5 lakh over the loan period to the taxpayers who take loans to purchase electric vehicles,” she had said. MG Motors' second car in India will be electric – and so it has to offer charging stations too

Financial services company <keyword id="45949" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="jm-financial" source="Orion">JM Financial</keyword> has maintained a "buy" call on real estate developer <keyword id="6362997" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="dlf" source="Orion">DLF</keyword>. Accordingly, the target price has been pegged at Rs 450 per share, implying a 34 per cent upside by March 2023, as against its current price of Rs 333. According to a note by JM Financial, DLF continues to offer a lot of visibility backed by broad-based momentum in the residential business, significant expansion plans in <keyword id="286753" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="dlf-cyber-city-developers" source="Orion">DLF Cyber City Developers</keyword>, monetisation of land banks, and a possible REIT listing. "Given the detailed plans laid out by DLF at its recent analyst meet, we try and estimate a possible blue-sky scenario for the company," the note said. Possible triggers for the company's stock include substantial business development in the residential business especially in Mumbai region and <keyword id="18858" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="noida" source="Orion">Noida</keyword>), besides firming up of capital expenditure plans in <keyword id="11900977" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="gurugram" source="Orion">Gurugram</keyword>.
