Customer success employees, who account for much of the Hillsboro office's staff, were given until November 26 to decide whether to take a severance package or relocate to Indianapolis, Atlanta, or Seattle, where Salesforce also has offices. Other employees were told they could continue to work for Salesforce remotely."Like any healthy business, we continuously assess whether we have the right structure in place to best serve our customers and fuel growth areas. In this case, it led to adjustments in our real estate footprint. Local employees are either going remote, being offered relocation or will receive a generous severance package in line with the location strategy of their team," a spokesperson for Salesforce wrote in an email to Business Insider.Salesforce did not immediately respond to a request for comment.Salesforce opened its Hillsboro office in 2013. Salesforce to close Portland office, asks employees to relocate or take severance

This will be the first market outside South Kores where the country is listed. Hyundai, which entered the Indian market in 1996 is one of the top automakers in India, moving between the second and third spots. The company emerged as the second biggest automaker in Hyundai. Since it entered the Indian market, the company has sold over 80 lakh cars in the country. Hyundai intends to establish India as a global manufacturing and export hub for the company and this might be an initial step in this direction. KFin Technologies is the registrar for the public issue and advisors for the issue include Kotak Investment Banking, Citi, HSBC, JP Morgan and Morgan Stanley. <h2>India’s biggest IPO</h2>Hyundai India is looking to raise ₹27,870 crore from the IPO, significantly higher than the ₹21,008 crore raised by the state-owned Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) in 2022, making it the biggest IPO in India’s history. <div type="Article" hostid="261" msid="111690863" title="The biggest IPOs in India’s history – LIC to Paytm, companies that have raised the most funds" mstype="2" mssubtype="0"></div> <h2>About the IPO</h2>The upcoming IPO from Hyundai is entirely an offer for sale (OFS), with the company looking to offload up to 17.5% of shares, which is 14.22 crore shares with a price band of ₹1865 to ₹1,960 per share. Bids can be made in a lot size of 7 shares or multiples of 7 shares. The IPO opens on October 15 and will close on October 18. While the allotment will be finalised on October 18, the shares will be listed on the stock exchange on October 22. At the upper end of the price band, Hyundai Motor India will be valued at $18 billion (approx. ₹1.6 lakh crore), which is around 40% of its parent company, Hyundai Global’s $45 billion valuation. As it is entirely an OFS, the company won’t receive any funds and all the funds raised will go to Hyundai Global. However, the company has said that part of the funds will be allocated towards research and development, especially in electric vehicles (EVs) and hybrid technologies. The company has reserved 7.78 lakh shares with a value of ₹131 to ₹138 crore for employees. Employees will get these shares at a discount of ₹186 per share. <h2>First carmaker in over two decades to go public</h2>In addition to being the biggest IPO in the country’s history, this will also make the company the first car maker to go public in India in over two decades. Hyundai India justifies its premium ask considering its leadership in SUV sales, world-class brand image followed by better safety ratings, Multi-segment growth visibility largely been driven by its popular SUVs, particularly the Creta, Exter, and Venue models in the Indian market,” said Prashanth Tapse, Senior VP (Research), Mehta Equities. <h2>Hyundai paid ₹10,780 crore dividend in FY24</h2>Ahead of the IPO, Hyundai paid a ₹10,780 crore dividend in FY24, up from ₹4,653.42 crore dividend in FY23 and ₹1,493.45 crore dividend in FY22. In essence, it is the premium above the issue price of a share. Billed as a social experiment, the has spawned several international editions, drawn millions of viewers, and likely made the streamer a boatload of money in new subscribers, but it's generated only a <a target="_blank" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/love-is-blind-couples-still-married-together">handful of lasting marriages.</a>As a trade-off, <a target="_blank" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/love-is-blind-what-it-was-like-being-on-show">appearing on "Love Is Blind"</a> can be a boon for cast members' personal brands and reality TV careers. But as Leo makes clear early on, he doesn't need that. He inherited a family art dealing business at a young age after several of his family members died of cancer. According to Leo, he has plenty of money to support himself without needing the influencer career that reality shows can provide.That security is a double-edged sword. As Leo says several times in episode one, he worries that women may only be interested in him for his money.Paradoxically, he doesn't go to much effort to conceal his wealth from the two women he's shown dating in the series. In one instance, he praises <a target="_blank" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/hannah-nick-love-is-blind-season-7-still-together-2024-10">27-year-old Hannah</a> for not asking about the glamorous parts of his job, like going to Art Basel and closing lucrative deals."I understand wanting to know that because it's inherently interesting. You just don't meet an art dealer every day," he says in the show. "I don't want, like, my job to ever define me."<a target="_blank" href="https://amandaclayman.com/about">Amanda Clayman</a>, a financial therapist, said people with higher incomes, like Leo, often try to make a good impression by talking about their salaries and jobs but ultimately miscalculate. Instead, they come off as insecure. Treading the line between vulnerability and modesty can be difficult when dating. That's why it helps to figure out your motivation for sharing how much you make.Some men believe their leading quality is how much they earn, and they may genuinely think that disclosing their high incomes is their best shot at winning a date over, even if it "makes him seem crass and superficial," Clayman said. Unpacking beliefs around money, such as wealth being tied to self-worth, gives you more self-awareness. You'll learn why you're bringing up your finances, rather than doing it to seem secure.On "Love Is Blind," Leo is pretty candid about his career and background in confessionals, when speaking to the other male contestants, and on dates with the female cast members. In the first episode, he says that he was interested in the show specifically because it provided an opportunity to find an emotional connection."I'm fortunate," he says in an episode one confessional. "I have an interesting and lucrative job. I'm an art dealer. It's a family business. I actually own it now, I ended up inheriting it. But one of my biggest insecurities is that a girl only wants me, like, for money."<h2 id="626bd5f1-1d26-40c5-9233-eaeb2d32c2a8">Lead with vulnerability</h2>One of the <a target="_blank" href="https://x.com/UrOysterBae/status/1841532542140526808">biggest criticisms of Leo</a> by viewers is that he kept bringing up his income but not what mattered to him in a relationship (at least according to his edit on the show). While he sometimes brings it up in the context of his family business and childhood, he can come across as flaunting it when he praises a woman for not fawning over his career.<a target="_blank" href="https://www.livingopenhearted.com/about">Kristin Papa</a>, a licensed clinical social worker who works with couples, said it's a good idea to center money discussions around your values. "And for me, continuing on my family's business is something I am proud of. So whoever I would be with would be, it's more than a marriage.""Business is a real part of what someone would be involved in, so it was relevant conversations," Leo added.<h2 id="7503a898-2211-438e-88e9-0fe28337f6ac">Make it a dialogue</h2>Bringing up your values also invites a dialogue, Papa said. Rather than rattling off your resume on a <a target="_blank" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/how-make-first-dates-stop-feeling-job-interviews-2024-2">first date</a>, you can ask your partner to share their views on money.To Leo's credit, bringing up his financial situation does invite a dialogue about money during a date with 33-year-old esthetician Brittany. After she asks about his approach to splitting expenses as a couple, he says that he's generally inclined to split them proportionally. And when he opens up about his dating insecurities, Brittany takes it as an opportunity to reassure him that she isn't interested in marrying for money.Having conversations about how you approach money can set you up for success in a relationship. Couples might make the same amount, but have <a target="_blank" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/separate-finances-marriage-success-2024-9">completely different spending habits</a>. Or you might have a huge gap in your salaries, but share the same financial goal of owning a house."It's an opportunity to clarify the role of money versus the quantity of money," Papa said.The next batch of "Love Is Blind" season seven episodes will be released Wednesday, October 9 on Netflix.

We've asked each of the featured companies to tell us about the problems they're trying to solve with AI, who's making these decisions internally, and their vision for using AI in the future.Gowling WLG is a multinational law firm headquartered in Ottawa, Canada, with more than 1,500 lawyers in 20 offices worldwide.The firm was formed in 2016 after the merger of a Canadian company with a history dating back to 1887 and a UK-based law practice. One of the firm's specialties is brand protection, which involves tracking down and stopping infringements on businesses' trademarks, brands, or designs.<h2 id="ec04abf8-6dc5-4015-93f4-02f9ad5ed95c">Situation analysis: What problem was the company trying to solve?</h2>Corporations need to <a target="_blank" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/gwyneth-paltrow-goop-sued-good-clean-love-inc-2024-4">protect their trademarks</a>, but not all instances of infringement are equal, and different cases require different responses."Reputation is key for global brands, and businesses need to avoid the risk of negative PR that can come from pursuing smaller infringers or overzealous fans," John Coldham, a partner and the cohead of Gowling WLG's global trademarks, brands, and designs team, told Business Insider.But that process is extremely labor intensive. "Traditionally, trainees, articling students, or new associates would search the internet looking for <a target="_blank" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/databricks-naveen-rao-ai-copyright-infringement-ai100-2023-10">online infringers</a>, submit <a target="_blank" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/youtubers-channels-are-being-held-hostage-with-fake-copyright-claims-2020-6">individual takedown notices,</a> and enter everything manually throughout the process," Coldham said. "It took forever and could only address a few transgressions at a time."<div type="image" title="headshot of john coldham" height="800" width="800" msid="111691484" hostid="261" sizebytes="32084"></div>Speeding up the process and making it more efficient would help the firm scale its work. The company concluded that the best way to accelerate tasks would be through using AI — so it developed a system called Saturn.<h2 id="20eb70ba-50fd-4cf8-bcef-b1beddc38139">Key staff and partners</h2>The Saturn project was led by the Gowling WLG's trademarks, brands and, designs team and Khemi Salhan, a principal associate on the UK team.The system was developed with a third-party provider that Gowling WLG declined to name. Now that it's live, the service is coordinated and overseen by Gowling WLG's intellectual-property lawyers.<h2 id="2fa456ba-9466-434a-a99c-037d9bcfd6b5">AI in action</h2>Coldham told BI the idea for Saturn came about after a Gowling WLG associate was appointed the brand-protection manager for the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England. "They saw directly from the client side how difficult, onerous, and expensive brand protection can be," Coldham said.Saturn not only automates the process of searching for content infringement online but improves upon it by adding <a target="_blank" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/openai-legal-fees-chatgpt-customers-copyright-suits-sam-altman-2023-11">legal analysis and strategy</a> to those results."It is a subscription product where the tech helps identify when clients' products and marks are being used illegally," Coldham said. Gowling WLG's lawyers can then advise a company on the best course of action after it's identified infringement.The Saturn system can also scan the worldwide IP landscape and offer suggestions to owners of copyrights and trademarks about where to devote their time, effort, and money.<h2 id="0de6e3ad-c6e8-47ff-8ec6-6585acb0a367">Did it work, and how did leaders know?</h2>Coldham said early tests of the system have proven successful."The technology learns how to identify likely infringements of each brand better, leading to improved search results over time," he said. "It can perform global searches, provide reports, gap analysis, and issue takedowns centrally rather than one by one."Beyond that, the system can also identify <a target="_blank" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/why-sales-of-knockoffs-have-soared-2023-9">fake web shops</a>, the infringement of domain names and brands on social media, and search for infringing and counterfeit products, Coldham said.<h2 id="da4749e4-02d4-4ac0-8c5c-fb77f2db2ddb">What's next?</h2>Collaboration with clients is key to Saturn's future success, Coldham told BI. "As this is a recently launched service, we are working closely with clients to gather their feedback to implement new features," he said.While implementing new features will be a work in progress, Coldham said Saturn has demonstrated its adaptability to integrate changes and improvements.We want to hear from you. The law firm Gowling WLG created an AI-powered tool to tackle brand infringement — it could be a game changer

Metro Brands issue was expected to open at a discounted price due to weak grey market premium and analyst commentary on the company’s finances. The company’s financial performance in FY21 was not very great due to COVID-19 restrictions in the country that affected the entire footwear retailing segment. Its revenue from operations declined by 37.75% in FY21. In the meantime, it permanently closed 24 stores, due to significant decline in footfalls on account of COVID-19. Post-listing, the market capitalisation of the company stood at ₹11,837 crore, according to BSE data. The shares of Metro Brands were trading at ₹446.70, lower by 10.66% at 10.01 a.m., on December 22. The grey market had also indicated a discounted listing for Metro Brands a day prior to the listing. The IPO was open between December 10 and December 14 ⁠and was oversubscribed 3.64 times by investors. The company intended to raise ₹1,367 crore through this public issue. Started in 1955 as a footwear specialty retailer in India, Metro Brands now caters to footwear needs of men, women, unisex and kids. "The last couple of drops, we've had anywhere from 1,200 to 1,500 people on the website, and stuff sells out in five minutes."Harrington is even more surprised by the real-life impact of Swift's business."People are still coming in because they heard about Westside Storey, and they don't even want a vintage sweatshirt," he said. "They just want any item from Westside Storey, anything associated with Taylor." She added that sales overall have increased around 3,000%.And Wove, the luxury jewelry brand that created <a target="_blank" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/taylor-swift-wears-diamond-friendship-bracelet-from-jewelry-startup-2024-1">the "TNT" bracelet Swift wore</a> while hugging Kelce on the field after the AFC Championship game, earned six figures in sales as a result of Swift, according to the CEO, Simone Kendle."Our site traffic has increased 5,000%. "There are tons of people who have no idea who we are, and Taylor Swift is the biggest star in the world.
