New Delhi, Maruti Suzuki India on Friday said it is recalling 7,213 units of its Baleno RS model due to a suspected defect in vacuum pump, which assists brake function. The recall will impact vehicles manufactured between October 27, 2016 and November 1, 2019, Maruti Suzuki India said in a regulatory filing. "It is suspected that there is a possible defect in vacuum pump, which assists the brake function. In a rare case, the affected vehicle may require increased effort in brake pedal application," it said. Affected vehicle owners will be receiving communication from Maruti Suzuki authorised dealer workshops for replacement of the defective parts, free of cost, the company said. In a post on its website, Maruti Suzuki India also said it would be undertaking a service campaign for 676 vehicles of Ertiga and XL6 model manufactured between June 24, 2022 and July 7, 2022 for suspected issue in front driveshaft, which in a rare case may generate a peculiar noise while turning the vehicle but does not impact the functioning. In January this year, the company had recalled 17,362 units of models Alto K10, S-Presso, Eeco, Brezza, Baleno and Grand Vitara to replace faulty airbag controller. The affected were manufactured between December 8, 2022 and January 12, 2023.

The affected models are Alto K10, S-Presso, <keyword id="6392173" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="eeco" source="Orion">Eeco</keyword>, Brezza, Baleno and <keyword id="-332" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="grand-vitara" source="Orion">Grand Vitara</keyword>, manufactured between December 8, 2022 and January 12, 2023, the country's largest carmaker said in a regulatory filing. "The recall is being undertaken to inspect and replace Airbag Controller free of cost, if required in these vehicles," it added. It is suspected that there is a possible defect in the affected part, which in rare cases might result in non-deployment of the airbags and seat belt pretensioners in the event of a vehicle crash, the auto major stated. "Out of abundant caution, customers of the suspected vehicles are advised not to drive or use the vehicle till the affected part is replaced," it said. Affected vehicle owners will be receiving communication from Maruti Suzuki authorised workshops for immediate attention, it noted. Maruti Suzuki recalls 17,362 units to fix faulty airbag controller

In a regulatory filing, Maruti Suzuki said it has announced recall of 9,925 units of <keyword id="139040" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="wagon-r" source="Orion">Wagon R</keyword>, Celerio and <keyword id="101015" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="ignis" source="Orion">Ignis</keyword> manufactured between August 3 and September 1. "It is suspected that there is a possible defect in rear brake assembly pin (Part), which in a certain case, may break and cause a peculiar noise. There may be a possibility of impact on brake performance in the long run," the company said. "Considering the safety of customers and out of abundant precaution, the company has decided to recall the suspected vehicles for inspection and replacement of the faulty Part, free of cost," it added. <keyword id="1437645" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="maurti-suzuki" source="Orion">Maurti Suzuki</keyword> said parts for replacement are being arranged and authorised workshops shall be contacting the customers for attending their vehicles. Maruti Suzuki to recall 9,925 Wagon R, Celerio & Ignis cars to rectify rear brake defect

The company currently does not offer any electric vehicles in the country. Maruti Suzuki’s new managing director and chief executive officer Hisashi Takeuchi during an <a href="https://gadgets360.com/transportation/news/maruti-suzuki-multiple-ev-electric-vehicle-models-planned-2896861">interaction</a> revealed that the company’s first electric vehicle (EV) will be released in 2025. Takeuchi added that the company’s first EV will be rolled out from its Gujrat plant and other factories will start producing EVs once the demand in the country increases. “We are a little behind our competitors in introducing the (EV) model to the Indian market, but we see that still, the market demand for those EVs is limited. Actually, sales of EVs in the Indian market are still very, very limited.” Takeuchi said. The company has been testing EVs using its existing platforms. As per Takeuchi, the company has replaced the internals of several cars, adding batteries and the motor to test the EVs in the Indian environment. Maruti Suzuki to launch its first electric car in 2025, several models expected in coming years

New Delhi, Jul 15 () The country's largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) on Wednesday said it is recalling 1,34,885 units of WagonR and Baleno models to inspect and replace faulty fuel pumps. The company is voluntarily undertaking a recall for WagonR (1 litre) manufactured between November 15, 2018, and October 15, 2019, and Baleno (petrol) manufactured between January 8, 2019, and November 4, 2019, MSI said in a regulatory filing. The recall will cover 1,34,885 vehicles of both these models, it added. "The company will inspect 56,663 units of WagonR and 78,222 units of Baleno for a possible issue with the fuel pump. Faulty part will be replaced, free of cost," the auto major said. Owners of the suspected vehicles under this recall campaign will be contacted by the company authorised dealers in due course of time, it added. MSS ANS ANS ANS

Maruti recalls 1,34,885 units of WagonR, Baleno to fix faulty fuel pumps

This is not the first time <keyword id="44883" type="CITY" weightage="40" keywordseo="Maruti-Suzuki">Maruti Suzuki</keyword> is recalling one of its car models. They have just recalled 1.5 lakh Swift Dzire models, which were manufactured in the year 2013-14. This is one of the biggest recalls by any Indian automobile manufacturer. 
 The recall is due to a fault in the neck of the fuel filler in Maruti <keyword id="6911" type="CITY" weightage="40" keywordseo="suzuki">Suzuki</keyword> Swift Dzire that came out in the last fiscal. The unsold models with the dealers have also be recalled and the faulty part, which is produced by <keyword id="778745" type="COMPANY" weightage="40" keywordseo="JBM">JBM</keyword> group (in which Maruti has a stake as well), will be replaced for no costs to the owners. 
 Before this Maruti Suzuki had recalled 1 lakh units of A-star in 2010. <keyword id="6355174" type="CITY" weightage="40" keywordseo="Ford">Ford</keyword> had also recalled Figo and Classic last year to replace faulty rear suspension and power steering. Auto recalls are a common phenomenon around the world and is practiced to keep the drivers and passengers safe. It is good to see that some of the Indian auto makers are doing the same to prevent any road mishaps.

Maruti Suzuki Is Recalling 1.5 Lakh Dzire Models

Indian auto manufacturer Mahindra &amp; Mahindra is recalling around 23,000 units of a select variant of its popular <keyword id="6356028" type="COMPANY" weightage="60" keywordseo="Sports">sports</keyword> utility vehicle (SUV) Scorpio to rectify faulty pressure-regulating valves.
 The Mumbai-based company said it would hold preventive inspection of some parts of its <keyword id="2410406" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="80" keywordseo="Scorpio-Ex">Scorpio Ex</keyword> variant manufactured between May 2012 and November 2013. 
	 

	According to a statement issued by the company, “This recall is limited only to the Scorpio Ex variant manufactured during the said period and does not affect any other Scorpio variants.”
 

	The statement also said that the inspection and necessary part replacement, if any, would be carried out with immediate effect. It would be done free of cost for Scorpio Ex customers, who would be individually contacted by the company or authorised dealers, it added.
 

	The automaker had undertaken a similar exercise on 985 units of Scorpio Ex variant in 2014.
 Nearly 6.09 lakh vehicles have been recalled ever since auto industry body <keyword id="108827" type="CITY" weightage="80" keywordseo="SIAM">SIAM</keyword> (<keyword id="82374" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="80" keywordseo="Society-of-Indian-Automobile-Manufacturers">Society Of Indian Automobile Manufacturers</keyword>) initiated voluntary recall policy for safety reasons in July 2012. Chennai-based <keyword id="106216" type="CITY" weightage="80" keywordseo="Ford-India">Ford India</keyword> has recalled as many as 2,95,648 units of various models.
