Investors have been expecting huge listing gains due to high grey market premium, positive recommendation by analysts as MapmyIndia is a pioneer in digital maps. However, some expectations have been tapered down due to poor market sentiment. “It was expected that this can give more than 100% return on a listing day however expectations have tapered down amid sharp correction in the market where the grey market premium is indicating a listing gain of around 70-75%,” said Aayush Agrawal, senior analyst at Swastika Investmart. Post listing, the market capitalisation of the company stood at ₹8,417.71 crore, according to BSE data. The grey market had indicated a strong listing too as unlisted shares of MapMyIndia were commanding a marginal premium of ₹700 per share. The IPO, which was open between December 9 and December 13, received strong response from investors. It was subscribed 154.71 times on the last day of the bidding. The government is working on mapping both your home and office address according to a report in ET. The department of posts has ordered a pilot project that will accord a six-character alphanumeric <keyword id="4160010" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="digital-address">digital address</keyword> for every property for three postal pin code locations. The idea is to provide e-locations (like on <keyword id="97416" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Google-maps">Google Maps</keyword>) for the addresses therein and then provide possibilities to link them to other information, such as property title and ownership, property tax records, information on utilities like electricity, water and gas. The eLoc (e-location) pilot project has been approved for two postal pin codes in Delhi and one in Noida, following which the plan is to identify national expansion plans. Private mapping company <keyword id="103425" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="mapmyindia">MapmyIndia</keyword> will be carrying out the project for the <keyword id="59010" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Postal-department">postal department</keyword>. "The results of the proof of concept may be utilised by the department towards developing a digital address format that would suit the purpose for a national-level project rollout," says a letter signed by additional director-general (mail operations) Abhishek Kumar Singh and sent to MapmyIndia on September 27. MapmyIndia MD Rakesh Verma has said that the e-linkage would make it easier to identify complex addresses while providing an opportunity to link them to other amenities and services. "eLoc will help travellers and commuters search, share and navigate to a destination's exact doorstep far more easily and quickly. It will also reduce time, money, fuel wastage and expenses for businesses in the e-commerce, transportation, logistics and field operations domains," Verma told to ET.

Mumbai, Jun 26 () Mercedes-Benz cars in the country with advanced multimedia infotainment system, MBUX, will now come loaded with MapmyIndia COVID-19 guide, which will help the users in getting all information related to the pandemic on a real-time basis, a release said on Friday. The infotainment system will enable users to navigate to the nearest COVID-19 testing centres using the most updated information provided by ICMR (Indian Council for Medical Research), with the infotainment panel displaying the centre name, address and phone number upon request, it said. The German car maker's Bengaluru-based R&amp;D centre, Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India (MBRDI), is also working to include coronavirus infection treatment centres and many other unique features as well in the the latest system, which has been developed by engineers at MBRDI in collaboration with MapmyIndia, as the next step, said the release. Mercedes-Benz India's recently launched all-new S-class SUV, GLS has fully packed connected services through its latest MBUX system. "Our infotainment team, which have a key role to play on the entire MBUX including the Interior assist &amp; rear seat entertainment, earlier this year was instrumental in launching another timely innovation for Korean market where the infotainment system helps in navigating to stores with N95 masks/ respirators, also," said Manu Saale, Managing Director and CEO, MBRDI. The technology platform for MBUX both onboard (car) &amp; offboard (cloud backbone) is built in such a way to accelerate new services and features to the customer, he added. These hyperlocal mapping and location intelligence features are designed to ensure that vehicle owners navigate hassle free during the current times. This feature gets automatically activated without any hassle of paying additional fee, it said.
