Now, she has been named as the state’s new <a href="http://www.newindianexpress.com/nation/2019/aug/08/manipur-cm-makes-9-year-old-girl-who-wept-on-seeing-trees-chopped-green-ambassador-2015965.html">green ambassador</a>. “I saw the video of this girl crying like anything, as if someone very close to her had passed away. Her feelings for two felled trees, which we adults would probably not think much about, moved me,” Manipur’s Chief Minister N. Biren <a href="https://www.thehindu.com/news/national/other-states/schoolgirl-who-cried-over-felled-trees-made-manipur-green-ambassador/article28884591.ece">told</a> The Hindu.  Biren appointed the compassionate little girl as Green Manipur Mission’s ambassador, which was launched in June. Her affection towards the environment might help create the much needed awareness on saving trees and conservation. “Elangbam Valentina Devi of Hiyanglam Makha Leikai in <keyword id="7230498" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Kakching-district">Kakching district</keyword> had been made the brand ambassador for the Chief Minister’s Green Manipur Mission and all official tree-plantation activities taken up in the State,” The Hindu <a href="https://www.thehindu.com/news/national/other-states/schoolgirl-who-cried-over-felled-trees-made-manipur-green-ambassador/article28884591.ece">reported</a> citing the order from H.  Devi will remain an ambassador for one year from the date of issuing the order. She will now be a part of all the advertisements and campaigns that are dedicated to create awareness over forest cover. <keyword id="6358540" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="sony" source="Orion">Sony</keyword>'s gaming division Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced that it would stop hardware shipments and software launches in <keyword id="6358826" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="russia" source="Orion">Russia</keyword>, following Russia's invasion of Ukraine. The company will also pause shipments of the new racing game Gran Turismo 7 to the country. "Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) joins the global community in calling for peace in Ukraine," SIE spokesperson Joe Taraborrelli said in a statement shared with The Verge. "We have suspended all software and hardware shipments, the launch of Gran Turismo 7, and operations of the <keyword id="6532" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="playstation" source="Orion">PlayStation</keyword> Store in Russia." As per report, Sony has announced a $2 million donation to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and the NGO Save the Children to support those affected by the invasion. Meanwhile, the US-based video game holding company Activision Blizzard also announced that it is suspending new sales "of and in" its games in Russia. "We are doing everything possible to assist employees, and their families, who are being directly affected by this tragedy," Activision Blizzard president and COO Daniel Alegre said in a letter. In a tweet from its Newsroom account, Epic said that it was "stopping commerce with Russia in our games" as a direct result of the conflict. In addition, EA Games removed Russian teams from its FIFA and NHL games, and later cut off all sales to Russia and Belarus. Cyberpunk 2077 developer CD Projekt Red has also taken similar steps. Sony suspends PlayStation store, console sales in Russia

New Delhi, Apr 28 () Asian Games gold-medal winning boxer Dingko Singh has revealed that he went into depression as he was unable to travel to the national capital for his cancer treatment due to the nationwide lockdown. Dingko Singh was on Saturday airlifted from Imphal to the national capital for his liver cancer treatment. "If the ambulance wouldn't have been arranged, it could have been a big problem for me. Even though I wanted to come to Delhi, I couldn't come because of the lockdown," Dingko said in a video message released by the Boxing Federation of India (BFI). "During the critical time when doctors had told me to come, I could not manage to come time to time, and so I went into depression." Dingko's transfer to Delhi by a Spicejet air ambulance was personally facilitated by BFI president Ajay Singh, after he missed a scheduled radiation therapy session due to the ongoing national lockdown. The 41-year-old was due to undergo radiation therapy a fortnight back but could not come to Delhi because of the lockdown. "The way BFI and our president Ajay Singh managed to arrange the air ambulance understanding my problem...I mean, I felt better in Manipur itself when I came to know about it and now after reaching here, I am feeling much better," Dingko said. Accompanied by his wife Ngangom Babai Devi, Dingko, was taken straight to the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS), where he is currently undergoing his treatment. Dingko, an Arjuna and Padma Shri awardee, is battling a relapse of liver cancer. The Manipuri was a flamboyant bantamweight boxer and won the Asian Games gold in the 1998 edition in Bangkok. Dingko thanked the BFI and said he now has a renewed sense of optimism about his recovery. "Now my treatment has started and my doctors and sisters are keeping a check on me and taking care of my requirements from time to time. Sometimes I am called for tests or something else and I don't realise how time goes now and I feel the strength to live again," he said.
