Despite the hikes, the attrition rate still stands at 20.3%, which is marginally lower than last year’s 21%, shows research by <keyword id="240071" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="aon" source="Orion">Aon</keyword>, a leading global professional services firm. In its latest Salary Increase Survey in India, data across 1,300 companies from more than 40 industries in the country was analysed. The attrition rate in India is steadily rising, going up more than 7% within the last two years. Separately, a DivHERsity Report by <keyword id="3784193" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="jobsforher" source="Orion">JobsForHer</keyword> found that more women than men had to quit the workforce in 2021.In reference to 'The <keyword id="12242899" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="great-resignation" source="Orion">Great Resignation</keyword>’, the report reveals the overall attrition rate among the employees was 9% while the attrition rate among women professionals was 13%. “Sectors most affected by attrition were e-commerce, <keyword id="34523" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="fmcg" source="Orion">FMCG</keyword>, hi-tech jobs and startups, despite them reporting the highest salary increase post pandemic. There is a huge demand for jobs in these sectors but we are witnessing a resignation wave parallelly,” said <keyword id="323309" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="jang-bahadur-singh" source="Orion">Jang Bahadur Singh</keyword>, director, <keyword id="15086498" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="human-capital-solutions-at-aon" source="Orion">Human Capital Solutions at Aon</keyword> in India. A majority of the attrition rate comes from voluntary resignation, i.e when the employee leaves the job voluntarily, taking up 17.5% of the attrition percentage. The attrition rate is expected to remain in double-digits in 2023 as well. “We also witnessed that war for talent has transcended sectoral boundaries and talent fungibility. As supply struggles to match demand, people costs and attrition numbers will continue to be high,” Aon said. To retain talent, Aon suggested organisations hire for skills, allow flexible working and gig jobs and focus on revamping employee value proposition (<keyword id="192404" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="evp" source="Orion">EVP</keyword>) through rewards. The survey revealed that salaries in India are expected to increase by 10.4% in 2023, compared to an actual increase of 10.6% to date in 2022, which is slightly higher than the 9.9% increase projected in February. “Volatility is a key determinant of salary increases by industries – the top salary increases are in the most volatile industries. Businesses must create holistic rewards strategies unique to their situation and sector to retain and attract the talent they need. Data-driven insights give employers the clarity and confidence needed to make better decisions,” Singh added. Great resignation impact being felt in India as attrition rate remains elevated at 20% in 2022

Benchmark index Sensex closed 37 points lower at 57,107 while the Nifty50 lost 8.90 points to reach 17,007. “The benchmark indices witnessed a volatile trading session…Among Sectors, profit booking continued in metal and financial stocks, both indices registered profit booking at higher levels. whereas, some buying was seen in selective pharma and IT stocks. Technically, after a sharp fall, the index opened in the green but corrected sharply. After early morning sell-off, the index witnessed range bound activity,” Shrikant Chouhan, head of equity research (retail) at Kotak Securities said. The markets are expected to remain volatile the entire week amid fears of global recession and continuing inflation and ahead of RBI policy announcement on September 30. It is also widely expected that the RBI would follow the Fed’s lead and raise interest rates on Friday. RBI has already raised interest rates by an overall 140 basis points three times in a row. In the morning trade, Sensex opened 0.74%, or 440 points, higher at 57,579 while the Nifty50 gained 0.72%, or 125 points, to hit 17,142, tracking global markets. On Tuesday, the rupee was trading at 81.57 against the dollar. A day earlier, the rupee had touched a new low of 81.73 due to monetary policy tightening by central banks worldwide and on concerns about India’s record trade deficit. There is a surge of first-timers who are and will be transacting or buying online during the lockdown – be it for groceries, medicines, telecommunications or insurance. I believe this trend will continue in the insurance industry and we will see an increased usage and reliance on digital tools by both financial intermediaries and customers across profiles. One of the biggest myths about introverts is they avoid crowds because they are afraid of them when in reality it’s a lifestyle choice even for some of the most powerful people in the world like Zuckerberg and Gates. So when you look at it for what it truly is, you can learn to not only accept but also appreciate the temporary tweak. The choice to voluntarily lay off red meat to control high cholesterol demands acquired maturity. LG Electronics India celebrated its 18th anniversary today with its LG Life’s Good Happiness Study. 
 
The Korean electronics brand arrived in the country in January 1997, and has expanded its products base to segments across consumer electronics, IT hardware and mobile communications. 
 
The event was graced by Managing Director Soon Kwon, Chief Marketing Officer Niladri Datta and TV Star Mandira Bedi. 
 
“We believe in making consumer experience more seamless and enjoyable. There’s a continuous endeavor from our side to innovate, and design products Indians love”, Niladri Datta, Corporate Marketing Head, LG Electronics India said.

LG Electronics just turned eighteen in India

Men will be men! Even with their bellies out and fading hairline, most Indian men still want their wives to look like the Bollywood heroine onscreen even when they have babies. Or so says the latest survey, <keyword id="29734" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Yummy-Mummy">Yummy Mummy</keyword>, by research agency <keyword id="148655" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="AC-Nielsen">AC Nielsen</keyword>. 
	 
	If the survey is to be believed then 92% of expecting fathers want their wives to be Yummy Mummy post their pregnancies while they also want their wives to have the same pre pregnancy bodies after their pregnancies. Interestingly, 91% of new and expecting fathers are actively ensuring to get their wives in shape post delivery. 
	 
	“While it is a widely known fact, it has been reinforced that 62% new and expecting fathers associate maintaining body post pregnancy as much as pre pregnancy with Yummy Mummy,” stated the survey. 
	 
	However, new or would-be mothers too have their own fears. The survey has found out that the biggest cause of worry for almost 84% of new mothers is with respect to their physical appearance—stretch marks. 
	 
	“The Yummy Mummy Survey also uncovered that there are several beliefs around stretch marks which are still prevalent amongst new and expecting mothers. For instance: 76% new and expecting mothers agree that stretch marks happen only on the tummy,” revealed the study. 
	 
	However, it should be noted that stretch marks can occur on the breasts, thighs, hips, lower back and buttocks. “Stretch marks can appear anywhere on the body, but it is more likely for them to form where larger amounts of fats are stored in the body. Though many of my patients worry about stretch marks, very few are aware of the facts. 66% new and expecting mothers agree that stretch marks have no cure,” said renowned gynecologist Dr Kiran Coelho, who has been the gynecologist to Bollywood stars such as Shilpa Shetty, Lara Dutta and Mandira Bedi. 
	 
	According to the survey, 67% new and expecting fathers believe beautiful skin to be an essential part of being a Yummy Mummy. 
	 
	Well, the good news-- 80% of women too want to get back in shape post pregnancy while 83% women would prefer natural ingredients in their personal care products post pregnancy in order to get rid of stretch marks and other skin related problems.

They have partnered with influencers such as Mandira Bedi, Rannvijay Singh, Dia Mirza, Milind Soman, to name a few. <div type="javascript" title="Instagram" contenttype="Video"><cdata><![CDATA[ ]]></cdata></div> Over the years, Tata Tea’s Jaago Re campaigns have nudged us towards social awakening and the brand has used this property to catalyse change around important issues like women safety, representation of women in sports, voting, corruption, etc. We caught up with Puneet Das, Vice President Marketing, Beverages-India, Tata Consumer Products, who looks after Tata Tea, Tetley, and Tata Coffee Grand to further understand what the past few weeks have been like for the brand, discuss its latest campaign for Tata Tea and a few things Das has learned in this time. Excerpts: Q. How have the past few weeks been for the brand, considering the country has been in a lockdown? The past few weeks have been about following all local administration guidelines and taking precautions to ensure safety of our employees &amp; teams while trying to also ensure supplies to trade, and meeting demands of consumers affected due to the lockdown. We have also utilized this time to work towards spreading awareness and facilitating change for the cause of the elderly who are the most vulnerable during these times, through our social initiative, Tata Tea - Iss baar #BadonKeLiye #JaagoRe. Q. What is your marketing strategy right now? How have you been trying to continue building a connect with your audience? In wake of the novel coronavirus, it becomes important to stay relevant to our consumers by facilitating and inspiring genuine change. And that it is our endeavour with our social Initiative “Iss Baar #Badon ke liye Jaago Re” which aims to spread awareness and sensitize youth to support the senior citizens during this time. The initiative involves spreading awareness about the need to support the elderly, providing relevant tips, tying up with NGOs and providing a common platform for people to connect with them, and share stories of volunteers to inspire others to act. It encourages individuals to connect with senior citizens next door or in their neighborhood and help them overcome any challenges they might be facing during this crisis and restricted lockdown period. A simple action like checking on them to see if they need anything and taking steps to help them will make a big difference (Of course, all this needs to be done keeping in line with the COVID 19 guidelines, as provided by the local administration). We’re also tying up with NGOs and providing information so that people can reach out to them and volunteer, in case they want to further make a difference in supporting this cause of the elderly. Q. Has there been a change in your media mix? The endeavour is to spread awareness amongst the youth and drive genuine change for the cause for supporting the elderly. Considering the current consumer behaviour of increase in time spent online and on social media, the initiative is also largely focused on leveraging these mediums to drive awareness on our latest campaign. The initiative is also being supported by influencers, NGOs and experts in senior care management. Q. If the lockdown is further extended, will you be tweaking your marketing strategy further? Right now, our efforts are to ensure that we spread the message and drive genuine change with our social initiative. Since it is aimed at supporting the elderly, who are most vulnerable due to their decreased immunity, this initiative will remain relevant irrespective of the lockdown conditions. In fact, if the lockdown is further extended, then it is even more important to understand and address the medical, psychological and social needs of the elderly whose routine life will be far more disrupted leading them to be most prone to confusion and helplessness. Q. What are a few key learnings for you as a brand in the last few weeks? The most important learning for brands during this crisis is to do something that can genuinely make a positive impact to their consumers/society. During times like these, it becomes important to consumers on ‘how you make them feel’ and whether you can genuinely make a difference in their lives in a meaningful manner. The other learning is to be agile and adapt to changes in consumer patterns which has drastically changed due to ‘restricted lockdown’ conditions but may also continue to evolve and become the ‘new normal’ (even when the lockdown restrictions are eased).
