"He showed some symptoms on April 12 and was admitted to a hospital on April 14. His test report has come out positive. We have removed all other police officials posted there and quarantined them," the BMC official said. Maharashtra recorded a shocking jump of 552 new COVID-19 positive cases today with total cases at 5,218. As many as 19 people also died today in the state according to the latest <a href="https://www.mohfw.gov.in/">data </a>from the Ministry of Health.This has taken up the state's total fatalities from 232 to 251. Of the 19 deaths, 12 were recorded in Mumbai, taking the city's total to 151.
