On Tuesday, the organisers of the festival shared this update. The award will pay tribute to SRK's remarkable contribution to <keyword id="20060213" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Indian-cinema" source="keywords">Indian cinema</keyword>. Speaking about the honour, Giona A. Nazzaro, Artistic Director in a statement said, "To welcome a living legend like Shah Rukh Khan to Locarno is a dream come true! The wealth and breadth of his contribution to Indian cinema is unprecedented. Khan is a king who has never lost touch with the audience that crowned him. This brave and daring artist has always been willing to challenge himself while remaining true to what his fans all over the world eagerly expect from his films. A true 'people's hero', sophisticated and down to earth, Shah Rukh Khan is a legend of our times." Shah Rukh will receive the award on August 10 at the open-air venue Piazza Grande. One of his most iconic films, <keyword id="19966566" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Devdas" source="keywords">Devdas</keyword>, directed by <keyword id="19897264" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Sanjay-Leela-Bhansali" source="keywords">Sanjay Leela Bhansali</keyword>, will also be screened during the festival. Shah Rukh is all set to appear at the Forum @Spazio Cinema for a conversation on August 11. Previous recipients of Locarno's Honorary Leopard include Tsai Ming-liang, Francesco Rosi, Claudia Cardinale, Johnnie To, Harry Belafonte, Mario Adorf, Jane Birkin, and Costa-Gavras. The award comes on the heels of SRK's highly successful 2023, which saw the release of his three blockbusters Pathaan, Jawan and Dunki, all of which were huge hits. The actor will reportedly begin shooting for his upcoming film 'King.' Recently, a video of SRK was widely shared on social media where eagle-eyed fans noticed the film's script lying on the table beside him. Reportedly, the film is also set to star Shah Rukh's daughter and actor, <keyword id="19915336" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Suhana" source="keywords">Suhana</keyword>. The video happened to be from a clip of Shah Rukh congratulating cinematographer Santosh Sivan after he received the prestigious Pierre Angenieux Excel Lens Award at this year's Cannes Film Festival. In the aforementioned video, a section of the Internet spotted the script of 'King' on the table next to him.It also contained some additional details on its cover, which were not clearly visible in the video. If reports are to be believed, 'King' will be directed by Sujoy Ghosh.

The metal’s prices zoomed as the US Fed maintained its outlook for a soft monetary policy, indicating three rate cuts this year. The yellow metal’s spike was supported by a sell-off in the US dollar after the <keyword id="19904332" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="federal-reserve" source="keywords">Federal Reserve</keyword> decision. “Markets are now pricing in a greater chance, around 70%, that the Fed will begin cutting interest rates at the June policy meeting, up from 55% before the Fed policy. Gold futures also increased 2.12% to $2,228.60 per ounce in New York. In India, contracts for April delivery rose 1.54% at ₹66,764 per 10 grams as investors built fresh positions. “We see some signs of caution, as well as their (Fed’s) projections, show an upward revision in economic growth to 2%, core-PCE inflation at 2.6% and an unemployment rate of 4% by year-end, which would make their rate cut task a little difficult,” observes <keyword id="21039523" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="pranav-mer" source="keywords">Pranav Mer</keyword>, VP, EBG - commodity &amp; currency research at <keyword id="20197853" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="jm-financial-services" source="keywords">JM Financial Services</keyword>. So much so, that a few even advise investors to book some profits at these prices. “While the fundamental backdrop of lower interest rates and geopolitical uncertainty looks supportive for gold, some profit-taking can be done at these levels. Fresh buys can wait for price dips,” says Jain. Agrees Mer, “Although we still maintain a positive in gold, we do expect some profit-booking, which can give us an opportunity to enter at a lower level.” Most analysts peg gold’s support levels at around ₹66,000/10 gm, though they believe that it has long-term potential to hit anywhere between ₹67,450-₹67,900.
