The arrested people will be presented in court on Wednesday. Maharashtra police have also heightened the security at the <keyword id="19934815" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="railway-station" source="keywords">railway station</keyword> as police personnel have been deployed at the railway station to ensure no repetition of Tuesday's outbreak. Internet services have been shut down in Badlapur and shops are ordered to remain closed. DCP, GRP of Railway Police Manoj Patil said that the situation is normal now. "The situation is normal now. railway movement is also normal.No section has been imposed. Internet services will be suspended for a few days so that rumours do not spread." Manoj Patil said. On Tuesday, police resorted to lathi-charge to disperse the protestors gathered at the Badlapur railway station after the demonstrators blocked the railway track, causing a halt in local trains. As protestors blocked the track 12 mail express trains were diverted and 30 local trains were partially cancelled. However, the railway service, after 10 hours of halt, resumed late at night after the police dispersed the protestors. Speaking to the media, Government Railway Police (GRP) Commissioner Ravindra Shisve said, "The track has been cleared and the report will be sent to the railway operations to ensure that the operations can be started." The alleged sexual assault of two fourth-grade girls in Badlapur, Maharashtra by a school attended has sparked outrage. On August 17 police arrested ana attendant for allegedly abusing the girls. Earlier on Tuesday, police also opened tear gas on the enraged residents who began stone pelting at the school where the crime took place. Meanwhile, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis condemned the alleged sexual assault of two minors at a school in Badlapur district of the state on Tuesday and said that a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed to investigate the case. Deputy Chief Minister Fadnavis also ordered the Thane Police Commissioner to immediately suspend the senior police inspector, assistant sub-inspector, and head constable of Badlapur police station who delayed action in the initial stage of the Badlapur incident. Taking to his social media handle on X, Devendra Fadnavis posted, "In the Badlapur unfortunate incident, IG rank officer IPS Arti Singh is appointed immediately to conduct the inquiry. A charge sheet will be immediately filed and this matter will be heard in the fast-track court. Patna, Apr 12 () A senior Bihar BJP leader has said he was badly beaten up by policemen in the state capital on Sunday even after he introduced himself and told them he had stepped out of his residence during lockdown to buy essential items.Rakesh Kumar Singh, the state media in-charge who lives on Daroga Rai road in central Patna, said the incident happened near an R-Block temple when he was walking to a neighbourhood shop.The policemen on patrol stopped Singh and asked why was he outside his home during lockdown. "I told them I am going to buy flour," Singh told .Policemen then asked him what does he do."As I introduced myself as Bihar BJP unit media in-charge, a constable started raining batons on me. In a few seconds, the sub- inspector also started hurling lathi on me. Bhopal, A dispute over the legacy of 9th century king <keyword id="6311397" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="mihir-bhoj" source="Orion">Mihir Bhoj</keyword> has again erupted in Madhya Pradesh with just over a month to go for the crucial state Assembly polls. The fresh round of controversy erupted after a mahapanchayat of the <keyword id="4570805" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Gurjar-community" source="Orion">Gurjar community</keyword> held in Gwalior on September 25. The mahapanchayat, which was attended by several politicians, including MLAs belonging to the Gurjar community from Haryana and <keyword id="6357713" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="uttar-pradesh" source="Orion">Uttar Pradesh</keyword>, was called to strengthen their voice over the monarch's legacy. Fuelling tensions again in the Gwalior-Chambal region ahead of the Assembly elections, the mahapanchayat turned nasty as the participants went on a rampage at the District Collectorate's (DC) office, pelting stones, and damaging vehicles, including those of the DC and Superintendent of Police. Police had to use lathi charge and tear gas shells to control the crowd. Some police personnel, as well as at least a dozen protesters, were injured as a result of the violence. Later, about two dozen of protesters were detained and 35 leaders of the Gurjar community were booked under the charges of rioting and attacking public servants. The Gwalior police have lodged an FIR against BSP MP from Bijnor Malook Nagar, SP MLA from Sardhna Atul Pradhan and sitting Congress leader from Morena Rakesh Mawai. Although the debate over Mihir Bhoj's legacy was centuries old as reports suggest, a fresh controversy in Madhya Pradesh erupted after a life-size statue of the king was installed in Gwalior city's Chirwal area in 2019. The Gwalior Municipal Corporation (GMC) prefixed the word "Gurjar" with the inscription of Mihir Bhoj's name on a plinth of the life-size statue, which did not go down well with the Rajput community. The mention of the word paved the way for a dispute between the Rajputs and <keyword id="505283" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="gurjars" source="Orion">Gurjars</keyword> as the two communities claim Mihir Bhoj's legacy. In 2021, the dispute reached the <keyword id="6397813" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="madhya-pradesh-high-court" source="Orion">Madhya Pradesh High Court</keyword> and since then the Chirwal area has been declared a prohibited zone and police personnel have deployed for the security. After violent clashes with police, farmers swarm Red Fort

Heavy trucks and trolleys have been placed by Delhi Police in the way of the marchers but these were being pushed, shoved and forced to be removed by farmers. DMRC closed entry and exit gates of yellow, green, violet and blue lines in surge of farmers protest

Hundreds of protesters on Thursday launched massive protest which soon turned violent in Gwalior district of Madhya Pradesh against the Centre's 'Agnipath' recruitment scheme. Police had to resort to lathi-charge to disperse the mob. Protesters went on a rampage, damaging and vandalising public properties at Birla Nagar railway station in Gwalior. Protesters broke the windows of some trains, set things on fire, burnt tyres and raised slogans against the Centre's new recruitment policy. Train movement was affected in North Central Railway's Jhansi division. The protesters blocked the movement of at least 6-7 trains by keeping wooden logs, tree branches and other railway properties on tracks. They also resorted to violence on the main roads breaking window panes of buses and other vehicles. Violence was also reported in the Gole ka Mandir area of Gwalior. Protesters created ruckus on busy roads damaging private vehicles. It stopped only after police reached the spot. Videos of violent protests surfaced on social media which showed the ransacking of the office of Birla Nagar railway station manager. However, police, which were rushed to the spot, lathicharged on the protesters and dispersed them from the spot. Several protesters have been detained by the police. The city witnessed multiple protests on Thursday since morning. Gwalior is the region from where majority of youths line up for police and military services every year. It was a narrow escape for BJP MLA Aruna Devi after a large number of aspirants tried to attack her when she was passing through a railway crossing in Nawada on Thursday. Aruna Devi was on the way to district headquarters, Nawada city, to participate at an event. When her car reached the railway crossing of Nawada railway station, a large number of protesters attacked her. They pelted stones on her vehicles. She somehow managed to escape in her car. Her driver however sustained minor injuries in the incident. In Bihar's Gopalganj district, the agitating aspirants set three coaches of a passenger train on fire at Sidhwalia railway station. In Chhapra, the protesters attacked as many as 12 trains and set three of them on fire. In Kaimur, they set Inter-city Express train on fire. More than 15 districts across Bihar on Thursday witnessed massive protests and vandalism against the Agnipath scheme. An agitating student in Chhapra said that the central government wants to push students into the criminal activities as they will have nothing to do after four years of service in defence forces. "After four years of job, a youth becomes trained in military skills and combat. Once he becomes unemployed, what will he do? He will take up terrorism, criminal activities and even police will not be able to arrest such youth. They will be more skilful in military combat than police personnel," an agitating youth said. Another youth said: "Why Agnipath scheme is not implemented on officers. They should also be brought into this scheme and restricted for four years of service." The majority of the aspirants demanded withdrawal of the Agnipath scheme and start of normal recruitment into defence forces. As the Army aspirants' protests against the Centre's Agnipath scheme entered the second day in Bihar, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav on Thursday said that the Centre has introduced MGNREGA scheme in the defence forces. "The Narendra Modi government has promised jobs to 80 crore youth of the country till 2022. After many years, this government has come up with recruitments in defence forces on contractual basis. This is a kind of MGNREGA scheme introduced in the defence forces. This is the pathetic outcome of promises of a government having massive victory in previous elections," Tejashwi said on his official twitter handle. He also shared a news article on PM Modi's promise of providing 80 crore jobs till 2022. Arvind Kumar Singh, the state spokesperson of BJP said: "The Narendra Modi government has taken a historic decision to launch Agnipath scheme in the country. It will give a boost to the defence forces and also make positive changes to make it stronger. The youth will get attractive salary packages and rigorous training. New Delhi, Apr 15 () The Supreme Court on Wednesday dismissed a plea seeking direction to the Centre to formulate guidelines to regulate movement of public and restrict police from allegedly beating those stepping out to purchase essentials during the nationwide lockdown.A bench of justices N V Ramana, S K Kaul and B R Gavai found no merit in the plea which alleged that due to the lack of guidelines, the authorities, including police, are "clueless" as to how to deal with this situation."We find no merit in the writ petition. The order also stated that e-commerce will remain operational for delivery of essential goods. A direct order is necessary from the government about e-commerce operationality. The e-commerce services are now working with the government to ensure that the orders given are actually followed by the police on ground.
