Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], February 23 (ANI): <keyword id="20122961" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="veteran" source="keywords">Veteran</keyword> playback singer <keyword id="20431844" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="suresh-wadkar" source="keywords">Suresh Wadkar</keyword> has been honoured with the Gansamragini Lata <keyword id="20695556" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="mangeshkar-award" source="keywords">Mangeshkar Award</keyword>. <keyword id="20695555" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="wadkar" source="keywords">Wadkar</keyword> was felicitated with the award at an event in Mumbai on Thursday. Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis presented him with special mementoes. In 2021, he also became a recipient of Padma Shri, The fourth-highest civilian award in the Republic of India. "It feels really special to receive the award under the tenures of Modi ji and President Ram Nath Kovind ji. It's a big thing for me. I am extremely happy. I have been waiting for a long time to get this award and now I have finally received it," Wadkar earlier told ANI. Wadkar is known for his playback singing in Hindi and Marathi. He has been enthralling audiences for over 45 years now. He has also carved a niche for himself in devotional music. 'Sapne Mein Milti Hai', 'Pehli Baar Mohabbat Ki Hai' and 'Lagi Aaj Saawan Ki' are some of his popular tracks. His earliest hit numbers were 'Sona Kare jhilmil jhilmil' (film 'Paheli'), 'Seene Me Jalan' ('Gaman'), which reportedly caught late legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar's attention and she recommended him to other top music composers of the day. On coming a long way in his journey, Wadkar said, "I feel blessed on getting opportunities to work with big makers in the industry. There's no bigger achievement than people's love. Luckily, I have been able to achieve that through my work. It's every artist's dream to receive this award. I started singing at the age of 4 and till now have sung 30,000 to 40,000 songs." (ANI)

According to reports, Narendra Chanchal died on Friday in the city. He was 80. The new unit will "undertake business to develop, operate, maintain, deal with data centres, information technology (IT)/ information technology-enabled services (ITES)/ cloud, providing services related thereto and to undertake activities associated with its infrastructure development including land acquisition and development for the said purpose," it said. MDCL will commence its business operations in due course, it added. In February 2021, Adani Enterprises Ltd had partnered EdgeConneX, a leading data centre operator, to develop one gigawatt (GW) of data centre capacity over the next decade. The equal joint venture (JV), named AdaniConneX, will focus on building a network of hyperscale data centres in India, starting with Chennai, Navi Mumbai, Noida, Visakhapatnam and Hyderabad. A data centre provides the necessary secured architecture wherein computing and networking equipment is concentrated for collecting, storing, processing, distributing or allowing access to large amounts of data. Gautam Adani had in November 2021 stated that he wants his conglomerate to be a world leader in green data storage, with sites run entirely on clean power, in sync with India's goal of turning carbon net-zero by 2070. The diversification comes against the backdrop of India's digital economy expected to touch USD 1 trillion by 2025. Also, the Reserve Bank of India's norm mandates data localisation, necessitating the need for setting up large data centres to store and protect information. Data localisation refers to storing data on any device physically present within the borders of a country where the data is generated. Adani and other large corporates from Reliance Jio to Bharti Airtel are also seeking to tap this opportunity. Adani group last year got land in Noida for the data centre from the Uttar Pradesh government. Flipkart has partnered with Adani Group to set up its third data centre in Chennai. Last week, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in her budget for 2022-23 proposed to classify data centres and energy storage as infrastructure assets allowing firms to access cheap and long-term credit. "As India's internet economy continues to be on a surge, as there is an increasing need to build a requisite data centre to ensure seamless uninterrupted data consumption and storage. "The growing smartphone subscribers with rising monthly mobile data traffic, coupled with rising broadband penetration and increasing digital transactions per year, will create an enormous need to collect, store, process and distribute data," Adani Group said on its website. It said Adani Enterprises Ltd (AEL) is the only company with inherent capabilities to build Data centres across the country. The firm has "complete ownership of large land parcels across the country, project management capabilities and resources availability, end-to-end power value chain (generation, transmission and distribution), fibre connectivity and strong network connectivity". When people logged on to JNU’s central library website, a picture of Indian Tricolour with pro-national slogans greeted them. 
 
A group of people hacked JNU’s website-www.lib.jnu.ac.in- and put Lata Mangeshkar's patriotic hit ‘Aye Mere Watan Ke Logon’ playing in the background with several messages. 
 
The "Indian Hackers Online Squad" posted several slogans like "Pakistan will never get Kashmir". 
 
"So, as you said 'Kashmir ki aazadi tak jang rahegi-jang rahegi'. You are thinking that you will get Kashmir just by barking in the campus of JNU," read the messages. 
 
The messages had reference to Bilawal Bhutto Zardari's previous speeches. 
 
"As I also told Bilawal Bhutto that without any violence let me tell you that Pakistan will never get Kashmir. This is the truth. You have to accept it :) So anti-national elements at JNU should also accept that Pakistan will never get Kashmir," the message stated. 
 
 
 
Moreover, the hacked page also carried a photo of actor Sunny Deol with a caption promising to eliminate "all Afzals", in response to an alleged slogan-‘Kitne Afzal maaroge har ghar se Afzal niklega (How many Afzals will you kill, one will emerge from every house)’. 
 
The varsity's library authorities, said, "the hacking of the website was noticed after office hours. The matter has been reported to the university's IT department and measures are being taken to rectify it".

New Delhi, June 3 (IANS) Saregama on Wednesday announced a global deal with the social networking giant where Facebook and Instagram users can add music to their posts and stories from Indias oldest music label. The partnership will allow users to choose from a rich catalogue of over 100,000 songs across several different genres including film songs, devotional music, ghazals and indipop in more than 25 languages. People will also be able to add songs to their Facebook Profile. "We are pleased with this partnership as now millions of Facebook users will be able to add music from our vast catalogue to stories and videos they create and share," said Vikram Mehra, Managing Director of Saregama India. Starting from today, people will be able to use music from legends likes Lata Mangeshkar, Kishore Kumar, Mohammed Rafi, Asha Bhosle, Gulzar, Jagjit Singh, R.D Burman, Kalyanji Anandji, Geeta Dutt and Laxmikant Pyarelal, making their experience on the platform more vibrant, personal and engaging. "We are proud to partner with Saregama that will allow people on our platforms, globally, to use their favourite retro Indian music to further enrich their content on our platforms," said Manish Chopra, Director and Head of Partnerships, Facebook India.
