'Ram Setu' to make streaming debut on Prime Video on Dec 23

"Special day, Special match": Bumrah following India's win over South Africa in 2nd Test

Mumbai, The Central Board of Film Certification has cleared "Oh My God 2" (<keyword id="12310621" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="OMG-2" source="Orion">OMG 2</keyword>) with "a few modifications" following which the movie will release on its scheduled date of August 11 with an 'A' certificate, said an insider on Tuesday. The film, starring <keyword id="2823" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Akshay-Kumar" source="Orion">Akshay Kumar</keyword> and Pankaj Tripathi, was reportedly stuck with the censor board for over two weeks. "There are no cuts in the film; only a few modifications, which the makers discussed with the censor board members. "For a UA certificate, the committee was asking for a lot of cuts. The makers didn't want to compromise with the sanctity of the film. So they chose to go with an Adults certification but keeping the integrity of the film intact and also adhering to and respecting the norms of the censor board," the insider said. According to CBFC, 'UA' certification means children below 12 years of age can watch a film under parental guidance. An 'A' certificate means adults (aged 18+) can publicly watch a film. "OMG 2" features Tripathi as a devotee of believer in Lord Shiva named Kanti Sharan Mudgal and Kumar in the role of Lord Shiva. The film is billed as a spiritual sequel of "OMG - Oh My God!", which released in 2012. Presented by Viacom18 Studios, "OMG 2" is produced by Cape of Good Films and Wakaoo Films. The film is written and directed by Amit Rai, and also stars Yami Gautam.

Mumbai, Apr 5 () The makers of Akshay Kumar-starrer "Sooryavanshi" on Monday announced that the cop drama has been pushed yet again and will not release on April 30 due to the surge in COVID-19 cases in <keyword id="13126" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Maharashtra">Maharashtra</keyword>. The Rohit Shetty-directed cop drama was originally scheduled for a release on March 24 last year, but was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. In a statement, the makers said Shetty attended a meeting with Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Sunday and decided to push the April release date owing to the situation in the state. "The Honorable Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Mr Uddhav Thackeray had a discussion with director Rohit Shetty yesterday. "In the meeting, Mr Uddhav Thackeray appreciated Rohit Shetty as he took the brave and difficult decision of postponing Sooryavanshi owing to the current <keyword id="8764262" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="covid">COVID</keyword> situation in the state," the makers said in a statement. The Maharashtra government on Sunday announced a weekend lockdown in the state from 8 pm on Friday to 7 am on Monday in a bid to curb the growing numbers of COVID-19 cases in the state. The night curfew will continue to be imposed in the state and strict restrictions will be in force from Monday 8 pm onwards. On Sunday, Kumar, 53, also tested positive for COVID-19 and was admitted to a city hospital as a "precautionary measure" on Monday. Bradman's monstrous appetite for runs was evident in the way he played at the MCG. In 11 matches, he scored nine tons and went without a century only once in his whole career at the MCG. His lowest century score is an unbeaten 103 but it came in the infamous Bodyline series of 1932/33. He was dismissed for 0 in the first innings but slammed 103 in the second to help Australia level the series in what was a bitter series. His next greatest moment came in 1937 when, on a damp sticky dog of a wicket, he reversed the batting order and scored 270 batting in the No. 7 position. He shared a 346-run stand with Jack Fingleton to help Australia win the match by 365 runs. This performance helped Australia come back from 0-2 down to win the five-match series 3-2. This is the only time so far that this feat has been achieved. 
 
4. Kumar Sangakkara at the SSC (Tests 21, Runs 2159, Average 77.1, Centuries 8, Fifties 5) 
 
Jaywardene's record is unbelievable at the SSC but <a href="http://www.gocricket.com/player/kumar-sangakkara/9001/9011">Sangakkara's </a>record is no flash in the pan. Out of his eight centuries at the SSC, he has scored three double centuries. His first major knock was 232 against South Africa in 2004 and South Africa never managed to get past his individual score in both innings. OP Jindal Global University ties up with 288 varsities in G20 nations

Tata Communications has signed a deal to sell its 67% stake in South African telecommunications unit Neotel to Vodacom – an arm of the Vodafone Group – for about $680 million (Rs 3,978 crore), as per sources. 
 
Tata Communications confirmed the development, saying that Vodacom has agreed to buy its total stake in Neotel. 
 
Tata Communications owns 67% of Neotel, which provides wholesale telecommunications and data services to African companies. Following the development, Tata Communications’ share rose 2.6% to Rs 301.55. 
 
“It is in line with our financial objectives while paving the way for Neotel to improve its value proposition in the South African market,” said Vinod Kumar, managing director and chief executive at Tata Communications. 
 
The Tata Group-owned undersea cable company was under a net debt of $1.4 billion and had not been able to raise funds to meet capital expenditure requirements. 
 
The Vodacom Group will now get the rights to use 15,000 km of Neotel’s fibre optic cable, including 8,000 km in Johannesburg and Cape Town, a source told The Economic Times. Moreover, Vodacom will also get airwaves in the 1.8 GHz, 800 MHz and 3.5 GHz bands. 
Tata Communications had first invested in Neotel in 2006 by paying around $250 million for 26% stake. Later, it increased its stake to 67%.

The Mars life theory suggests that rocks rich with microorganisms could have been ejected off the planet's surface from a powerful impact, eventually making their way through space to Earth. It's not a stretch to imagine, since there are such <a href="http://www2.jpl.nasa.gov/snc/">Martian rocks here on Earth</a>. So far, none of those have shown signs of life though."You cannot rule out the fact that a Mars rock with life in it landing on the Earth kicked off terrestrial life, and you can only really test that by finding life on Mars," <a href="http://www.chrisimpey.com/">Christopher Impey</a>, who is a British astronomer and author of over a dozen books in astronomy and popular science, told Business Insider.<h3>3. To better understand his poignant remark, let's look at an example: During its first three years in space, NASA's prized Hubble Space Telescope snapped blurry pictures due to a flaw in its engineering. The problem was eventually fixed in 1993, but to try and make use of the blurry images during those initial years, astronomers developed a computer algorithm to extract as much information out of the images.It turns out that the algorithm was eventually shared with a medical doctor who applied it to the x-ray images he was taking to detect breast cancer. Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals: A chequered rivalry 
 
Before the start of IPL 7, CSK and RR were in the news for events off the field relating to the IPL spot-fixing scandal. When both teams strode out to the ring of fire in Dubai, they added another chapter to the rivalry. CSK made 140 and Rajasthan fell short by seven runs. Ravindra Jadeja was the star for CSK with an unbeaten 36 and a haul of 4/33. In an eerie way, in the match between these two teams in 2013 in Jaipur which is believed to be in the centre of the scandal mentioned above, CSK had made 141 when the bet was that they would make 140. At that time, Gurunath Meiyappan was watching. Now, with Gurunath sidelined, CSK achieved this score. Odd twist of fate?

 In a cricket match, seldom has a catch been the talking point. In the match between <keyword id="6354506" type="CITY" weightage="40" keywordseo="Royal-Challengers-Bangalore">Royal Challengers Bangalore</keyword> and Kolkata Knight Riders, Chris Lynn provided the moment of the tournament which helped KKR snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. KKR managed to get to 150 and RCB needed nine runs in the last over. Vinay Kumar, who was part of several last-over finishes in the IPL, gave away just three runs in the first three balls. On the fourth ball, the match changed totally. 
 
Vinay bowled a shortish delivery just outside off. AB de Villiers moved to the off side and pulled it high over deep mid wicket. He had not timed it all that well but with the deep mid wicket boundary at Sharjah been short, it seemed the ball would sail over. Lynn, though, had other plans. His job was made difficult by the fact that he slipped up while lining up for the catch. However, he kept his eyes on the ball, raised his hands and arched back like a gymnast to pouch the catch. With the momentum threatening to take him over the ropes, he stuck out his right hand and ensured that he landed just inches in front of the rope. This moment gave KKR victory by two runs. One of the must watch (video link) moments that should be replayed over and over again 
 
Pollard is the best catcher in the IPL. No, he is not, say CSK 
 <keyword id="61632" type="PERSON" weightage="40" keywordseo="Kieron-Pollard">Kieron Pollard</keyword> has built a reputation that he can pouch just about anything. Every team has felt his brilliance in the field, except CSK. In the 2013 IPL clash between CSK and Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede, Pollard dropped Michael Hussey, then playing for CSK, thrice in three balls off Mitchell Johnson. He managed to pouch a good one off Suresh Raina but the three consecutive dropped catches were a sight to behold. 
 In the match against CSK in Dubai, Pollard was once again generous in the field for CSK. In the sixth over, <keyword id="55681" type="PERSON" weightage="40" keywordseo="Brendon-McCullum">Brendon McCullum</keyword> smashed one past mid off. Pollard leapt with one hand but he could not latch onto it. This was a difficult catch but for Pollard's standards, it could have been taken. However, in the 16th over bowled by Harbhajan Singh, Faf du Plessis slog swept the bowler to deep square leg where Pollard dropped a sitter. It seems Pollard suffers from yellow fever when it comes to catching against CSK. 
 
Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals: A tale of two ties 
 KKR and RR played out the first ever tie in the 2009 IPL in Cape Town. In that match, both teams ended on 150 and it was <keyword id="18938" type="PERSON" weightage="40" keywordseo="Yusuf-Pathan">Yusuf Pathan</keyword> who stole the show when he smashed three sixes of Ajantha Mendis to help RR put one over KKR. Five years later and in another neutral venue, KKR and RR played out their second tie. With the scores tied on 152, KKR batted in the one-over eliminator and scored 11. With three needed off the last ball, Steven Smith batted in a way which gave a new definition to smart play under pressure. He knew that in the event of the super over been tied, RR would go through as they had hit more boundaries. He spotted the gap at extra cover and he walked down the track to push it into that gap for a couple. It was the first time that a super over was tied in the IPL. Once again, KKR had failed to get over the line against RR. 
 
Sandeep Sharma shows his mettle 
 
In the IPL, there is a prevalent theme that bat dominates ball to such an extent that bowlers are scarred for life. However, one young gun has thwarted this notion. He was the star performer in the 2012 U-19 World Cup in Australia. With an ability to swing the ball in and away both in the air and off the seam, Sandeep Sharma is a valuable bowling asset for any team. In this edition of the IPL, Sandeep has maintained discipline and he has reaped rich rewards. His performances in the game against Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore, where he picked up three wickets, earned him the Man of the Match award. With an economy rate of 5.63, average of just 8.85 and a strike-rate of just 9.4, Sandeep has added more potency to the already potent Kings XI Punjab.

He was one of the first analysts to recommend buying after markets bottomed in March 2009 and has remained a stock enthusiast as the <a href="http://markets.businessinsider.com/index/S&amp;P_500" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">S&amp;P 500</a> has nearly quadrupled.Most recently, he said at mid-year that the benchmark would hit 2,500 by the end of September. Right on cue, the S&amp;P 500 is sitting within five points of that target after hitting a series of new highs this week.Perhaps even more impressive than Birinyi nailing the start and subsequent gyrations of the eight-year bull market has been his continued willingness to make bold forecasts in the face of pessimism. Back in December 2008, in the throes of the financial crisis, he wrote that stocks were near a bottom.Need more evidence of his prescience? No problem:<ul><li>In September 2011, Birinyi argued that US corporations were seeing earnings growth that was too strong for stocks to be sabotaged by Greek's debt crisis. The S&amp;P 500 is up 121% since then.</li><li>A year later, when the S&amp;P 500 was sitting near 1,400, he predicted that it could climb 7% to 1,500 in just four months. It did so in five.</li></ul>In an interview with Business Insider, Birinyi laid out his arguments for the continuation of the bull market. And he poked holes in many of the most popular bearish stock arguments - from high valuations, to record-low volatility, to breadth. He doesn't buy any of it. Nor is he a fan of ETFs, one of the world's fastest-growing investment vehicles. Birinyi is instead focused on something he thinks is going widely unappreciated: the massive amount of cash that's sloshing around in the market.This interview has been edited for clarity and length.Joe Ciolli: What specific elements do you think are pushing the market higher? We hear a lot about earnings growth, and relatively subdued geopolitical tensions. What is shaping your fundamental picture?Laszlo Birinyi: I don't think people appreciate how much cash there is in today's market. It seems like everything is just an excuse to put that cash to work, whether it's a tax bill, or economics, or [Donald Trump's chief economic advisor Gary] Cohn not leaving the White House - those are all just excuses. The bond market is unsettled, and you've removed some of the stock market concerns of the last couple years, most notably earnings. People are feeling a little more confident and willing to invest, and they have the cash to do it.The other issue is that, while the averages are lackluster, there's a lot of trading money focused on individual stocks. The S&amp;P may not have moved 1% or 2% in however many days, but the reality is that stocks are having really good days. You have a lot of individual stock volatility, which reflects the fact that people have the funds, and they're looking for vehicles in which to manifest those funds. They're using single stocks as the vehicles, not broad asset classes such as emerging markets, or gold, or commodities. The critical ingredient in the market is cash.We also focus on the fact that many of the negative arguments really don't hold water.Valuations:<blockquote>Yes, they're high, but since 2009 we've become enchanted by what everyone calls <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyclically_adjusted_price-to-earnings_ratio" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Shiller's CAPE</a>. We went back to the 1980s and found that in an entire 10-year span, there was only one mention. This isn't a law that's been in existence ever since the New York Stock Exchange has been around. We weren't even aware of it in the last cycle. My argument against the whole thing is: it's never gotten you in the market. We can catalog a bunch of articles that show no one's ever said to buy. It's always been "the market's overpriced, the market's expensive, the market's high," but no one's ever said buy. In July 2009, there were some articles saying that according to some valuation measures, the market was fully valued. In July 2009! To me, something that's never told me to buy is not something I'm going to listen to when deciding when to sell.</blockquote>Stock market breadth (a measure of how widely distributed gains are):<blockquote>There are 10-12 different versions of breadth. There are all kinds of ways to look at it, and the bears find the one that looks least compelling. One of the problems I've always had with technicians is that they come up with a viewpoint, and then they come up with data to support it. To me, a lot of these concerns have been with us a long time.</blockquote>Fundamentals / earnings:<blockquote>The interesting thing about earnings this quarter is that while they've maybe not been quite up to expectations, what's making things difficult is that people are now looking at earnings as just the first cut. And then they say, well what about revenue? And after earnings and revenue, they look at some other factor. You have a stock like Netflix, where the earnings were so-so, but the subscription rate was really good. You have this volatility because there's money sloshing around, waiting to do something. All of a sudden you look at Netflix, and it's up 10%.With a stock like Priceline that has a so-so report, but the outlook isn't that exciting, so everyone jumps on the downside. You have this tremendous individual stock volatility. The fact that overall earnings are good has made people a little more confident about the market, but it's also made things more difficult because earnings are now just the first cut. But net-net it's a positive.</blockquote>Ciolli: In the past, you've expressed caution around what you describe as "irrational exuberance." Are we seeing that right now, and how has that view shaped your firm's forecasts?Birinyi: We're really not seeing it. As for what we've done, we reached our objectives for the first six months at the end of June. So we wrote at the end of June that we would be buying the September 29 S&amp;P $250 call - in other words, we were looking for 2,500 by the end of September. And this was not just a comment, we actually put money on the table. We're now at that level (note: the index closed at a record high of 2,498.37 on Wednesday, the day before this interview). There's absolutely no change in our view that the market will continue higher.Once the market goes above 2,500 - which hasn't happened yet - we will be coming up with a new target, because we think this is a market that's ideal for taking small steps, rather than looking out 12-18 months. There are too many moving parts, such as North Korea, which we're not going to try to factor into our process.Ciolli: What is your take on the current low-volatility environment? It often gets characterized as a ticking time bomb. Does it worry you, or signal anything in particular?Birinyi: Like so many things, that is a characteristic of a market. When people say to me that the market hasn't had a 1% run in a certain number of days, that tells me just that. It doesn't tell me anything about tomorrow, or what's going to happen.The VIX isn't the fear index. It's a measure of potential volatility in either direction, yet for some reason people have glommed onto the idea that if the VIX spikes, the market's going to go down. No, when the VIX spikes, it means the market could go either up or down a lot. If you go back to the bottom in 2009, the VIX was telling you that there were going to be another two years of a bear market. It tells you about volatility, not direction. To me, it's just another vehicle. It's totally meaningless with regard to the future of the market. In an uninteresting market, people have found that this is something you can play. It seems like VIX ETFs and ETNs are a quick way to lose money.Ciolli: What about ETFs, which have seen a huge increase in popularity, and are often blamed for sapping the market of volatility?Birinyi: We looked at ETFs. I don't think people really appreciate or understand a lot of the ETFs. Do you know what the fifth-biggest stock in the technology ETF is? A telephone company. When you say you want to buy tech, are you OK buying telephones? We looked and if you took the eight biggest ETFs and bought them in January, you were up approximately 10% end-of-year. If you bought the biggest stock in those ETFs, you're up 25%. That should be the story, instead of all these new ideas.If you go back in time, there's always been three guys from MIT that could come up with a better mousetrap. They were doing the same thing 10-12 years ago. Today we have bigger computers, and the algorithms are more complicated, but it's not new. You go out, you buy individual stocks where you understand that business and you understand what you're doing.If you bought some sort of VIX vehicle, I'm not sure you could understand if it did what you thought it would. Are you really getting paid for being correct? I'm not sure. It's fine for people with the background to do it, but not for 99% of the population.To me, all these shortcuts and easy ways to get into the market are very, very expensive. Without a way to quantify it, I'd almost be willing to bet you a very large amount of money that the dealers have made more money on the VIX than the customers. To me, this is all noise that floats because there's nothing else going on. People want to have something to talk about.Ciolli: What's your view on how political developments are affecting the market now? Immediately after the election, a lot of the stock market gains were attributed to policy optimism, but that correlation seems to have lessened. What's the current dynamic?Birinyi: It's having some influence, in the sense that it's given people a reason to re-assess their circumstances and what they're doing. But I don't think it's having a direct influence in terms of what you buy and sell. If you look at the stocks that responded immediately after the election, they've not held up. While I'm willing to concede that there was a Trump bump, there aren't Trump stocks. The market, in so many ways, has suggested that the alleged direct beneficiaries of the new administration really aren't benefiting. Investors, including myself, jumped on these ideas, and many lost some money doing so.All politics are local. When you have developments that aren't likely to directly affect most individuals, they're really not going to be that concerned. Healthcare did affect most individuals, and the town meetings were pretty raucous. But when you talk about the wall, and things like that, it won't affect 99% of people, so they're not focused on it. Bank regulation isn't going to affect most people, so they're not going to try and do anything about it. Trump has gotten people out of their chairs and doing something, but I don't think it's been in the stocks that you'd most closely associate with his politics.Ciolli: Overall, what's the best piece of advice you can give to investors right now?Birinyi: We have a cliché here that we say to our customers, and it's from a Wendy's commercial: Where's the beef? We see so many articles about how there's going to be a correction, but out of all the forecasts, I've never seen one that outright says to sell. No one comes out and says "there's going to be a correction - short the S&amp;P." It's all "the market is scary" or "we could have a downdraft," but at the end of the day, the question remains: Has there been a transaction?Having sat on a trading desk on Wall Street, where you live and die by what you do, to me this is just noise. In the last eight years, there was only one instance that I recall where a strategist came out and said: there's going to be a correction and you should sell the S&amp;P. And we did! It didn't work out - we lost a little bit of money. And that was OK.We like situations where someone gives something tangible, where someone is accountable. That's why, when we put up our forecast in June, we said we were buying those September 29 S&amp;P $250 calls. We had skin in the game, and I think customers appreciate that. We may be wrong, but we're not going to sit there and give people a forecast we're not following ourselves. As somebody once said, don't tell me it's going to rain.
