"Chandu sir [Chandrakant Pandit, KKR coach] asked for a heavy roller, which I did not want. I felt the heavy roller might break the pitch, but it settled the pitch completely. The ball did not turn in the second innings. Credit to our spinners for how well they bowled. I always felt that if I or Rinku could hold one end up, we will chase this down. That is what happened," said Nitish in a post-match presentation. Notably, Nitish is having a great IPL 2023 as a batter. In 13 matches, he has scored 405 runs at an average of 33.75 and a strike rate of 143.10. He has three half-centuries this season, with the best score of 75. CSK opted to bat first and were restricted to 144/ in their 20 overs. Solid knocks came from Shivam Dube (48* in 34 balls), Devon Conway (30 in 28 balls) and Ravindra Jadeja (20). There was a 68-run partnership for the sixth wicket between Dube and Jadeja. Sunil Narine was the pick of the bowlers for KKR, taking 2/15 in his four overs. The Lucknow-based franchise conceded their biggest defeat margin by runs in the history of IPL on Sunday as they faced a 98-run loss against KKR. LSG's 81-run defeat against Mumbai Indians (MI) in the 2023 season of IPL holds the second place on the list. While 62-run loss to Gujarat Titans (GT) in IPL 2022 is their third biggest defeat in the T20 tournament. Recapping the game between Lucknow and Kolkata, LSG opted to field first after winning the toss. KL Rahul-led LSG concede biggest defeat margin by runs in IPL against KKR

<ul><li><keyword id="6354504" type="DEFINITION" weightage="20" keywordseo="reliance-jio">Reliance Jio</keyword> has raised ₹11,367 from global investment firm <keyword id="6354544" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="kkr">KKR</keyword>.</li><li>This is KKR's <keyword id="4877824" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="largest-investment">largest investment</keyword> in Asia. </li><li><keyword id="2003276" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Jio">Jio</keyword> has now raised ₹78,562 crore from Facebook, Silver Lake, Vista, General Atlantic and KKR.</li></ul><keyword id="6355199" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="reliance-industries">Reliance Industries</keyword> on Friday announced the sale of a 2.32% stake in its digital unit to US private equity giant KKR for ₹11,367 crore, the fifth deal in four weeks that will inject a combined ₹78,562 crore in the oil-to-telecom conglomerate to help it pare debt. This is KKR's largest investment in Asia. "This transaction values Jio Platforms at an equity value of Rs 4.91 lakh crore and an enterprise value of Rs 5.16 lakh crore. This is KKR's largest investment in Asia and will translate into a 2.32 per cent equity stake in Jio Platforms on a fully diluted basis," the company said in a statement. The deal follows Facebook picking up a 9.99 per cent stake in the firm, housing India's youngest but largest telecom company, on April 22 for Rs 43,574 crore. Within days of that deal, Silver Lake - the world's largest tech investor - bought a 1.15 per cent stake in Jio Platforms for Rs 5,665.75 crore. On May 8, US-based Vista Equity Partners bought 2.32 per cent stake in Jio Platforms for Rs 11,367 crore. On May 17 global equity firm General Atlantic picked up 1.34 per cent stake in Jio Platforms for Rs 6,598.38 crore. "Over the last month, leading technology investors, such as, Facebook, Silver Lake, Vista, General Atlantic and KKR have announced aggregate investments of Rs 78,562 crore into Jio Platforms," it said. Diverse marquee investors are becoming long-term shareholders of Jio Platforms Ltd (JPL) because of a unique set of technologies and platforms under one entity. KKR raises $1.2 billion for new SPAC with plans to merge with consumer or retail company

Borrowers are increasingly favoring private-debt solutions — think of it like a direct loan between two parties, or a small club of lenders — over syndicated loans and bonds, which are at the mercy of public market fluctuations.And this month, his team — led by fellow co-head Matthieu Boulanger — closed a $2.1 billion asset-based <keyword id="11895316" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="finance" source="Orion">finance</keyword> partners fund, or ABFP, something that has long been on Pietrzak's agenda.Since joining KKR in 2016, Pietrzak has helped the firm shell out more than $6 billion across 54 asset-based financings. But it took until this month for KKR to close its first fund dedicated to the craft.Asset-based financing commits capital to private-credit investments that are secured by large pools of collateral. It's a handy investment in a volatile market because investors can claim these assets — which could include music royalties, aircraft, or real estate, among other things — if a borrower cannot repay their debts."The environment we are in, you want to be a fan of downside protection. I also think, if you have a book of loans, say backed by residential real estate, or aviation leasing, it's going to perform differently than the corporate-credit market," Pietrzak told Insider in an interview.Last August, Pietrzak spoke about his <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/kkr-dan-pietrzak-private-credit-asset-based-finance-banks-hiring-2021-7">love for asset-backed deals</a>, and since then he's clearly dug his heels into the sector. KKR's private-credit team now houses 35 people dedicated to ABF dealmaking, and hired two managing directors in the last two months.Kristy Gilbert joined the team in June from Sightway Capital to focus on scaling investments globally. RJ Madden joined in July from Angelo Gordon to lead KKR's residential real-estate efforts, a spokesperson for the private-equity firm told Insider."We have now built up this dedicated team, and it's their sole focus," Pietrzak said. "We've also gotten to the point where investor interest in ABF is quite high, so these two items married up quite well as it relates to raising a standalone fund."While Pietrzak could not disclose names of the investors in the fund, he said it comprised commitments from public pension funds, asset managers, insurers, sovereign wealth funds, commercial banks, and family offices.The ABFP portfolio focuses on consumer and mortgage-linked financings, hard assets like aircraft, and assets with contractual cash flows. Pietrzak said about 60% of the fund will be deployed on US assets, while 40% will be concentrated in areas like Europe and Australia."I still think we're probably in the early innings," Pietrzak said of the broader take-up of ABF solutions. "But that's a good thing for us, we're sort of ahead of the curve. KKR's Dan Pietrzak just wrapped a $2.1 billion asset-based finance fund. It's the investor's first-ever fund of this type and comes at an opportune time as markets navigate a heavy bout of volatility.

Petraeus, <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/cia-director-david-petraeus-resigns-2012-11">who resigned from the top post at the CIA over an extramarital affair last year</a>, is now the chairman of the newly created KKR Global Institute.

In recent months, General Petraeus has focused his efforts on supporting returning veterans as they transition to the workforce. Among such endeavors, he currently serves on the advisory council of American Corporate Partners, an organization that connects veterans to business leaders. In addition, he will lead a seminar as a visiting professor at the City University of New York's Macaulay Honors College and he is a member of the University of Southern California faculty. As a Judge Wid ney Professor at the University of Southern California, he will lecture part time and also mentor members of the school's Reserve Officers Training Corps program and young veterans.
General Petraeus holds a PhD in international relations from Princeton University and has taught economics and international relations at the United States Military Academy at West Point. He also completed a fellowship at Georgetown University's Institute for the Study of Diplomacy.

David Howell Petraeus is a retired American military officer and former government official. In June 2011, the U.S. Senate unanimously confirmed him as director of the CIA, a role he held from September 2011 until November 2012. Prior to assuming the directorship of the CIA, he was a highly decorated four-star general, serving more than 37 years in the U.S. Army before retiring in August 2011.
A lauded combat leader and strategist, General Petraeus was instrumental in reshaping American military doctrine through his focus on the concepts of a comprehensive civil-military counterinsurgency campaign.
General Petraeus' final assignment in the military was as commander of the NATO International Security Assistance Force and U.S. forces in Afghanistan. Other four-star assignments included his service as the 10th commander of the U.S. Central Command, where he was responsible for military operations in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Central Asia, the Arabian Peninsula, Iraq, the Levant and Egypt, and his service as commanding general of the Multi-National Force—Iraq for more than 19 months.
In the latter position, he commanded all coalition forces in Iraq throughout the surge in 2007 and 2008 when violence in that country was reduced by nearly 90 percent. During that tour in Iraq, he oversaw the implementation of the concepts in the Army/Marine Corps counterinsurgency manual that was drafted under his direction during his assignment as commander of the U.S. Army Combined Arms Center at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, between his second and third tours in Iraq.
Previously, General Petraeus was the first commander of the Multi-National Security Transition Command-Iraq and the NATO Training Mission—Iraq. Following General Petraeus' extensive service in the Middle East, former U.S. Secretary of Defense Robert Gates praised him for the critical and historic role he played in dramatically reducing the violence in Iraq and haling the Taliban's momentum in Afghanistan, writing that he had "changed the course of two wars, an unprecedented accomplishment." Earlier in General Petraeus' career, he also served in Europe, Bosnia, Central America, Haiti, Kuwait and the United States.
General Petraeus earned a bachelor's degree from the United States Military Academy, from which he graduated in 1974 as a distinguished cadet, finishing in the top 5 percent of his class. He later received the General George C. Marshall Award as the top graduate of the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College class of 1983. He subsequently earned an MPA and a PhD in international relations from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University. He served as assistant professor of international relations at the U.S. Military Academy and also completed a fellowship at Georgetown University's Institute for the Study of Diplomacy.

With an infusion from KKR, the company's latest funding round would hit approximately $500 million, Bloomberg reported.The metaverse creator initially announced a <a href="https://markets.businessinsider.com/news/currencies/soros-winklevoss-twins-back-sandbox-owner-animoca-brands-funding-round-2022-1">$358 million funding round</a> in January involving the <keyword id="12453376" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="winklevoss-twins" source="Orion">Winklevoss Twins</keyword> and billionaire investor <keyword id="11984416" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="george-soros" source="Orion">George Soros</keyword>. The funding round valued Animoca Brands at $5 billion, more than doubling a prior funding round from October. Bloomberg said the company is aiming for another funding round as early as this year to bring its valuation to $10 billion. Insider previously reported that the company plans to use the cash infusion to fund acquisitions, product development, and licenses for intellectual property.
