The <keyword id="48485" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Bombay-high-court">Bombay High Court</keyword> on Wednesday granted transit anticipatory bail to advocate <keyword id="10764452" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="nikita-jacob">Nikita Jacob</keyword>, a suspect in a case registered by <keyword id="6358992" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Delhi-Police">Delhi police</keyword> in connection with the "toolkit" shared by climate activist <keyword id="7425525" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Greta-Thunberg">Greta Thunberg</keyword> over the ongoing farmers' protest. Justice P D Naik gave Jacob three weeks' time to approach the court concerned in Delhi for relief. On Tuesday, another suspect in the case, Shantanu Muluk, an engineer based in <keyword id="13126" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Maharashtra">Maharashtra</keyword>'s Beed district, was also granted transit anticipatory bail for 10 days by the HC's Aurangabad bench. Jacob and Muluk, who claim to be environmental activists, had approached the HC after a Delhi court issued non-bailable warrants against them. According to the Delhi police, the two along with arrested accused Disha Ravi, an activist from <keyword id="6354321" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Bengaluru">Bengaluru</keyword>, were allegedly involved in preparing the document and were in direct touch with "pro-Khalistani elements". A Delhi Court on Tuesday granted <keyword id="6354905" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Bail">bail</keyword> to climate activist <keyword id="10759898" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="disha-ravi">Disha Ravi</keyword> in the <keyword id="7425525" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Greta-Thunberg">Greta Thunberg</keyword> '<keyword id="416078" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="toolkit">Toolkit</keyword>' conspiracy case. Additional Sessions Judge Dharmendra Rana allowed the bail to the accused on the condition of two surety of Rs one lakh each. During the three-hour-long bail hearing on February 20, the police said that the 'Toolkit' was a sinister design to defame India and cause violence. "Poetic Justice Foundation and <keyword id="344450" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Sikhs-for-Justice">Sikhs For Justice</keyword> in order to hide their involvement, used Disha Ravi as a front to carry out nefarious activity," Additional Solicitor General S.V. Raju told the court, adding that these organisations are connected to the Khalistani movement. The Delhi Police further told the city court that Ravi covered her track and deleted evidence like contents of the Toolkit and a WhatsApp group, which the public prosecutor emphasized showed her "guilty mind". Ravi's counsel Advocate Siddharth Agarwal, however, claimed there is no evidence linking the Toolkit to the violence during the farmers' march on January 26. Ravi faces charges of conspiracy and sedition in the 'Toolkit' conspiracy case related to the farmers' agitation and was arrested from Bengaluru on February 13. The Delhi Police have contended that the google document tweeted by Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg to back the farmers' protest and then deleted, was created by Ravi and two other activists -- Jacob and Muluk. Delhi court grants bail to environmental activist Disha Ravi in Greta Thunberg toolkit case

New Delhi, Investigating the '<keyword id="416078" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="toolkit">toolkit</keyword> document' uploaded on a <keyword id="6354632" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="social-media">social media</keyword> handle which the <keyword id="6358992" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Delhi-Police">Delhi Police</keyword> believe scripted the January 26 <keyword id="6355987" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Violence">violence</keyword> in the capital, the police are now writing to <keyword id="6355629" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="google">Google</keyword> to know the IP address from where the toolkit was uploaded. Over 300 social media handles are also under scanner. This means the Delhi Police have a new front to tackle now, the virtual social media accounts and the probe has gone 'International'. "The intention of the creators of the tool kits appears to create disharmony among various social, religious and cultural groups and encourage disaffection and ill-will against the government of India. It also aims at waging social cultural and economic war against India," Delhi police said in a statement. Preliminary enquiry has revealed that the 'toolkit' in question appears to have been created by a pro-Khalistani Organisation "Poetic Justice Foundation". "A section of the documents titled "prior action" delineates the following action plan, digital strike through hashtags on or before 26th January, <keyword id="6406419" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="tweets">Tweets</keyword> storm 23rd January onwards, Physical action on 26th January, Watch-out or join farmers' march into Delhi and back to borders," it said. The police believe that the unfolding of events past few days including the violence of 26th January has revealed copycat execution of the 'action plan' detailed in the toolkit. Though the Delhi police believe it to be an "international conspiracy" to defame the country it refrained from naming anyone into the FIR registered under sections 124-A, 153-A, 153 and 120-B <keyword id="6360844" type="LOCATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="ipc">IPC</keyword> and would be investigated by the Cyber Cell. This means that the Cyber Cell of Delhi Police which is already investigating various social media handles within the county for January 26 violence from posting fake or malicious information to violent posts has now expanded its reach and has an additional responsibility of tackling the foreign handles on Twitter and Facebook. Delhi Police to approach Google to investigate January 26 violence in city

New Delhi, <keyword id="10759898" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="disha-ravi">Disha Ravi</keyword> has been featured in publications across the world as a young activist voicing her strong opinions about the environmental crisis in India. However, the 21-year-old <keyword id="7732951" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="climate-activist">climate activist</keyword> from Soladevanahalli area of <keyword id="6354321" type="LOCATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Bengaluru">Bengaluru</keyword> was arrested by <keyword id="6358992" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Delhi-Police">Delhi Police</keyword>'s Special Cell on Saturday for her <keyword id="2326926" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="alleged-role">alleged role</keyword> in the infamous "<keyword id="416078" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="toolkit">toolkit</keyword>" which, according to police, was behind the January 26 violence in the capital. Graduating from Mount Carmel College in Bengaluru, she has been regularly writing columns and articles in leading news portals on climate action and is a familiar name in important climate forums frequented by youth activists across the globe. Disha describes herself as co-founder of Fridays For Future, India. In an interview to Auto Report Africa in 2020, she is quoted as saying: "My motivation to join climate activism came from seeing my grandparents, who are farmers, struggle with the effects of the climate crisis. At the time, I wasn't aware that what they were experiencing was the climate crisis because climate education is non-existent where I'm from. Only when I did my research, did I find out about it." However, Disha's role came under the lens of the Delhi Police after Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg tweeted a toolkit document which the police say had led to the January 26 violence in New Delhi. Though the Delhi Police did not name Thunberg in the FIR, it went ahead to register the case against the authors of the toolkit. The police later described Disha Ravi as key conspirator in the document's formulation and dissemination and said that she started a <keyword id="6407380" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="whatsapp-group">WhatsApp group</keyword> and collaborated to draft the document. "In this process, they all collaborated with pro-Khalistani Poetic Justice Foundation to spread disaffection against the Indian state. She was the one who shared the Toolkit doc with Greta Thunberg," said a senior police officer. The "toolkit" is a term activists use for a campaign information document. However, the Delhi Police also said that she asked Greta to remove the main document after its incriminating details accidentally leaked into the public domain. This is many times more than the two lines editing that she claims, they said. The Delhi Police had registered an FIR on February 4 on charges of sedition, criminal conspiracy and promoting hatred among groups under Sections 124-A, 120-A and 153-A of the Indian Penal Code against the "creators" of the 'toolkit', which was shared by Thunberg. After Disha Ravi has been sent to police remand for five days, sources in Delhi Police said that more arrests are likely, based on the investigation of the arrested accused. "We are going to suspend the implementation of the three farm laws until further orders", he said.
