The job search section on the webpage of <keyword id="8141031" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="kerala-job-portal">Kerala job portal</keyword> and the website is not responding. The Kerala government’s Department of Training started the web portal to create employment among skilled professionals in the state. Under the initiative, over 20,000 skilled technicians have been trained in government and public institutions. The applicants are required to register and update their resumes for employment. The database of applicants is open to employers across the world. The employers can look for specific skill sets, experience, salary expectations.

Hiring of 400 employees will take the workforce to a total of 700 employees, a three-fold increase from 240 employees in October 2021. The hiring will be done in technology and product teams and across various destinations in India — Goa, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Punjab. Earlier this quarter, the travel aggregator had increased its workforce by 60%. Large number of hiring was dedicated towards its plans to scale up its hotel category business. When asked about the reason behind this massive hiring spree, Ayyappan Rajagopal, chief executive officer (CEO) of Cleartrip said, “Cleartrip is actively hiring for their upcoming tech park in Chennai where all the technology-related backhand work will be handled so that we can reach the target of 400 employees by the end of this year.” He further said, “By hiring top talent from the industry across levels, we are infusing fresh energy and ideas into our teams, setting us up for success. As we move forward in 2022, one of our key goals this year is to bring more offerings, scale up our existing verticals to bring more digitally-enabled travel experiences for our customers to boost their confidence while travelling during what has been a difficult time.” The announcement comes after Cleartrip’s acquisition by the Flipkart Group, part of US-based Walmart Group, which has accelerated the brand’s growth strategy to make an end-to-end travel app for the company by the end of 2022. Online travel booking portal Cleartrip to increase its workforce by 400 by the end of this year

Edtech unicorn <keyword id="2900267" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="byju" source="Orion">BYJU</keyword>'s courted further controversy on Tuesday with its employees in Thiruvananthapuram claiming around 170 of them are being forced to resign from the company. The matter, raised on social media by <keyword id="7035516" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="technopark-today" source="Orion">Technopark Today</keyword>, an IT professionals community portal, was escalated by IT welfare organisation '<keyword id="3399247" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="prathidhwani" source="Orion">Prathidhwani</keyword>' to Kerala Labour Minister C. Sivankutty. Employees and Prathidhwani representatives also met the minister on Tuesday. Apart from ensuring that BYJU's does not force employees to resign, they demanded a revision of the company's exit policy for its employees. Along with ensuring payment of their October 2022 salary on November 1, employees are demanding a one-time settlement of three months' salary, earned leave encashment, and full-settlement of variable pay. According to the employees in Thiruvananthapuram numbering around 170, Byju's, with its office located in the <keyword id="6400701" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="technopark" source="Orion">Technopark</keyword>, is planning to wind up its operations in the state headquarters. Lured by such <keyword id="462967" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="fake-job-offers">fake job offers</keyword> in Dubai, nine Indian working professionals have been left stranded in the <keyword id="6354870" type="LOCATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="United-Arab-Emirates">United Arab Emirates</keyword> (UAE). The job seekers were assured jobs in Dubai via social media platforms like WhatsApp. "A WhatsApp message that promised jobs in the UAE within 15 days was being widely shared in Kerala, and I also received the forwarded message. I really thought it was genuine as many people were showing interest," <a href="https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/india/nine-indians-stranded-in-uae-after-accepting-fake-job-offers/articleshow/70315412.cms">TOI reported</a> citing one of the victims, Fazil. Claiming to be jobless at the moment, the victims said that they spent over ₹70,000 to get visitor visas for UAE by racketeers in Kerala. "I chatted with the agent who convinced me that I will have a job in a supermarket as soon as I land. He told me I will get Dh1,200 as monthly salary and free food and accommodation. I was going through tough times, and thought it would be a good start for me," said Fazil, a qualified technician. When they landed in Dubai, that they realised they had been tricked. According to the victims, a local agent took them to Ajman and Al Ain. The Indian embassy in Abu Dhabi has now pitched in to send them back home. This is, however, not the only case. Last month, five men were left without jobs in Dubai, who moved on visitor visas to the country. "We have reported about 40 such cases to Indian authorities and police investigations are on. That is important to deter these illegal agents from duping more people," the embassy told The Khaleej Times. The embassy has thus warned the jobseekers to use official channels and follow immigration rules. On the flipside, the <a href="https://www.khaleejtimes.com/uae/dubai/7600-jobs-created-in-dubai-last-month-">UAE extended 2,394 new licenses</a> to foreign nationals in June this year — including Indians. COVID-19: Two Air India flights from UAE carrying 354 Indian nationals take off

A joint report by PeopleStrong, Wheetbox, CII and LinkedIn revealed that the pharma and health sector will see an increase in hiring by 20% as compared to 7.2% in 2015. 
 The India Skills Report 2016 stated that the pharma and <keyword id="54598" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Healthcare-sector">healthcare sector</keyword>, which presently employs around 5.5 lakh people, will create 1, 34, 000 jobs in 2016. 
 
The report also placed the Indian pharma industry in top 10 global markets in value terms by 2020. 
 
So what will be the key skills that the pharma sector will be looking for this year? 
 
The employers will prefer hiring freshers (33.6%). People with five years of work experience having skilled domain expertise in the age group of 22-25 years will see an up in hiring by 32%.

<div type="image" msid="54427818" hostid="261"></div> <keyword id="176127" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Intel-India">Intel India</keyword> claims to have made the experience of personal computing real for more than 250,000 local citizens till now, thanks to their Unnati Kendras. The technology giant <keyword id="28115" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Intel">Intel</keyword> is also investing ₹1,100 crore in its upcoming R&amp;D centre, which can create 3,000 jobs. Unnati Kendras were inaugurated last year and are on-ground facilities serving as common access digital learning centers for local citizens, focusing on education, entrepreneurship and innovation. Each centre is equipped with Intel powered devices, vernacular language content, and relevant training programs for local citizens in the state, to create opportunities for skill development and digital empowerment. 
 Since the launch of the first centre in April 2016, Intel India has seen an average of 47 citizens entering each <keyword id="3331525" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Unnati-Kendra">Unnati Kendra</keyword> per day, and of these, 18 requested demos in basic PC skills. 
 
According to Intel data, 44% of the walk-ins wanted to use computers to access e-learning and educational content, with 28% aspiring to use computers for creative self-expression, and 28% for entrepreneurial activities. 33% of this universe were students and youth between 18 and 25 years old and 22% were women, who are the early adopters and change agents in these new markets. 
 
Debjani Ghosh, Vice President, Sales &amp; Marketing Group, and Managing Director, South Asia, Intel said, “Technology relevance and access are crucial for a knowledge economy, and given that majority of the Indian population resides in non-urban areas, the vision behind Ek Kadam Unnati Ki Aur has been to make digital skills mainstream in those towns. This milestone is a moment of pride for all of us, and just the start of something bigger. Through continued work with the government and the ecosystem, we strive to make a tangible difference to individual lives and communities through the power of the computing.” 
 
Meanwhile, Sandeep Aurora, Director, Marketing at Intel South Asia said, “As the next wave of technology adoption comes from non-urban India, Ek Kadam Unnati Ki Aur has been oriented specifically for these markets. We have worked with nearly 20 eco-system vendors to ensure that the Unnati Kendra experience has enabled first-time users in regional areas to better understand how computing technology can be integrated to improve their daily lives.” 
 
User rights: 
 
According to the user insights from the centres, the top PC-based activities have been video-based computer training, understanding e-commerce, browsing detailed information on government policies, e-mail and applying for jobs on job portals. 
 Village Level Entrepreneurs in charge of the centers are taking on the mantle of Unnati Gurus or local knowledge bearers of technology, who are responsible for demonstrating the basics of PC usage to walk-ins on Darpan, a multilingual user interface which comes in six regional languages. These trained personnel are conducting daily in-depth sessions on <keyword id="6372493" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="digital-literacy">digital literacy</keyword>, computer skills and internet facilities, along with dedicated guidance sessions in entrepreneurship, language and vocational training to improve the educational and employment prospects for local citizens. 
 The 100 centers in Tier II, III, IV and V towns are in operation across 11 states pan-India; <keyword id="68884" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Telangana">Telangana</keyword> (14 centers), Uttar Pradesh (14), Andhra Pradesh (13), Haryana (11), Maharashtra (11), Tamil Nadu (10), Karnataka (7), Gujarat (6), Assam (5), Chhattisgarh (5), and Kerala (4). The centers are also being used as platforms for the delivery of last mile digital services and government related information about Digital Literacy, Financial Inclusion, and Healthcare, for the benefit of local citizens. 
 
Of the 11 states, Telangana, Maharashtra, and Uttar Pradesh witnessed the highest footfall and interest in PC literacy. Telangana and Uttar Pradesh, which have the highest number of Unnati Kendras in any state, with 14 centres each, together account for 115,000 individuals experiencing the power of the PC, almost half the national total, while Maharashtra has outperformed the national average, with a weekly footfall of 1000 citizens across 11 centres.
