New Delhi, Netflix show "Scoop" and its lead star <keyword id="3991" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="karishma-tanna" source="Orion">Karishma Tanna</keyword> are nominated for the <keyword id="18746709" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Asia-Contents-Awards-Global-OTT-Awards" source="Orion">Asia Contents Awards &amp; Global OTT Awards</keyword> 2023, the organisers announced on Tuesday. According to its official website, Asia Contents Awards &amp; Global OTT Awards is an annual event to celebrate the achievements of excellent content made for TV, OTT, and online across Asia. It is organised by Busan International Film Festival and Korea Radio Promotion Association. While "Scoop" has secured a nomination in the Best Asian TV Series, Tanna is vying for the Best Lead Actress trophy at the awards. "Scoop" follows Jagruti Pathak (Tanna), a star crime reporter at a Mumbai newspaper, who makes headlines after she is accused of her rival Jaideb Sen's murder. The critically-acclaimed Hindi language series, created by Hansal Mehta and Mrunmayee Lagoo Waikul, premiered on Netflix in June. Mehta, also director of the series, congratulated the team for this "great honour". Backed by Indian production banner Matchbox Shots, the show is inspired by Jigna Vora's biographical book "Behind the Bars In Byculla: My Days in Prison". In the Best Asian TV Series category, "Scoop" will compete with "The Black Yard" (Kazakhstan), "Not Others" (South Korea), "Delete" (Thailand), and "Taiwan Crime Stories" (Taiwan). Besides Tanna, other Best Lead Actress nominees are South Korean star Song Hye-kyo ("The Glory"), Hollywood star <keyword id="76399" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="zoe-saldana" source="Orion">Zoe Saldana</keyword> ("Special Ops: Lioness), Singaporean star Rebecca Lim ("Third Rail"), and Malaysian actor Emily Chan ("The Patient"). The Asia Contents Awards &amp; Global OTT Awards 2023 will be held on October 8 at the BIFF Theater, Busan Cinema Center, during the course of the Busan International Film Festival, which runs through October 4 and October 13. Indian films also will have a strong presence at the 28th edition of the upcoming film gala, which will see premieres of several titles such as "Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani", "Joram", "Agra", and "Against The Tide".

Scoop's Karishma Tanna nominated for top honours at Asia Contents Awards & Global OTT Awards

New Delhi, Actors <keyword id="19896580" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="ranbir-kapoor" source="keywords">Ranbir Kapoor</keyword> and Alia Bhatt walked away top acting honours at the 69th <keyword id="20182352" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="filmfare" source="keywords">Filmfare</keyword> Awards for their roles in "Animal" and "Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani" while Vidhu Vinod Chopra's "" won the Black Lady for best film and director. The 69th Hyundai Filmfare Awards 2024 with Gujarat Tourism was held in GIFT City, Gujarat. The festival concluded on Sunday with an awards ceremony that was hosted by Karan Johar, Ayushmann Khurrana and Maneish Paul. Bhatt's co-star <keyword id="19978371" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="shabana-azmi" source="keywords">Shabana Azmi</keyword> in "Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani" won best supporting actress award but film's lead star Ranveer Singh lost the trophy to <keyword id="19909122" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="ranbir" source="keywords">Ranbir</keyword> Kapoor. The Karan Johar-directed film also won the trophy for best dialogues as well as best choreography for "What Jhumka?". <keyword id="19895145" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="vicky-kaushal" source="keywords">Vicky Kaushal</keyword>, who was also nominated in the best actor category, won a best supporting actor trophy for Shah Rukh Khan-starrer "Dunki". Despite delivering three biggest hits of the year in "Pathaan", "Jawan" and "Dunki", SRK was missing from the winners list despite securing a nomination in the best actor and film categories. "Jawan", however, won Filmfare for best VFX and action. "Animal", one of the most controversial but successful films of the year, not only won Ranbir a best actor trophy but bagged trophies for best music album, background score and best playback singer to Bhupinder Babbal for "Arjan Valley". "12th Fail" star Vikrant Massey won best actor (critics) Filmfare. The film also won in the screenplay and editing categories. Best actress (critics) trophy was shared by Rani Mukerji ('Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway') and Shefali Shah ('Three of Us'). "Three of Us" director Avinash Arun Dhaware won the trophy for the film's cinematography. Manoj Bajpayee-starrer "Joram" won best film (critics) award as well as best story recognition for Amit Rai and Devashish Makhija. Amitabh Bhattacharya's "Tere Vaaste" from "Zara Hatke Zara Bachke" won best lyrics while Shilpa Rao was recognised as the best female playback singer for "Besharam Rang" from "Pathaan". Kaushal's film "Sam Bahadur" won Filmfare for best production design and costume design. Best debut director went to Tarun Dudeja for "Dhak Dhak" and best debut actor male to Aditya Rawal for Hansal Mehta-directed "Faraaz". Alizeh Agnihotri won the trophy for best female debut for "Farrey" at the awards show where filmmaker David Dhawan was honoured with the lifetime achievement award. The gala night also saw the presence of celebrities such as Kareena Kapoor, Aparshakti Khurana, Karishma Tanna, Kartik Aryan. Ranbir, Sara Ali Khan and Kareena also performed at the event.

The eighth season of Indian reality show Bigg Boss, which started way back in September last year is finally coming to an end. 
 
If reports are to be believed, Gautam Gulati, Preetam Singh and Karishma Tanna are the contestants who are going to fight it out for the winning title and the rumoured prize money of Rs 5 million. 
 
Dimpy Ganguly and Ali Quli Mirza are out of the race and would be eliminated in tonight’s episode. 
 The former host of the show, superstar <keyword id="6354583" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Salman-Khan">Salman Khan</keyword> is rumoured to make a comeback for the season’s finale. 
 
What started off as another yearly season of the reality show was dragged into another show named Bigg Boss Halla Bol, because Chakravartin Ashok Samrat, the show which was supposed to replace <keyword id="1985489" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Bigg-Boss-8">Bigg Boss 8</keyword>, was not ready. 
 
The first look of the show was unveiled by Raj Nayak, CEO, Colors, on his social media yesterday.
