Mumbai, More people signed up for <keyword id="19925152" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="prime-video" source="keywords">Prime Video</keyword> in India than any other country outside of the US in recent years, Head of Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios <keyword id="20143672" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="mike-hopkins" source="keywords">Mike Hopkins</keyword> has said. India is one of the key geographies for Amazon, <keyword id="21019964" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="hopkins" source="keywords">Hopkins</keyword> said on Tuesday at a star-studded Prime Video Presents event here that saw the announcement of the streamer's 2024 slate of 69 projects including shows, movies, documentaries and returning titles across languages and regions. "I have a couple of stats to just explain how things are going here. The first one is that for the last several years, outside of the US, more people have signed up for Prime in India than anywhere else in the world. That's pretty good growth. "The other thing about India is that more people started subscribing to Prime Video here than any other benefit... In the last year, India had the highest percentage of Prime members stream Prime Video than any other country in the world," Hopkins said during a chat with event host <keyword id="19901337" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="karan-johar" source="keywords">Karan Johar</keyword>. "We look at that next 250 million subscribers that we're going to acquire, which are definitely going to come from outside the United States. We're not going to be able to achieve that unless we do a really good job for customers in India, so India is a key geography for us," Hopkins said. He also spoke about the exponential growth that streaming has had in India despite being in the market only for the last few years. Hopkins said "Farzi", "Indian Police Force" and "The Family Man" are among the shows that have worked well internationally. "I've heard many people say this week that more people are streaming TV. And they're watching it on linear television and satellite... What's remarkable about it is that streaming has only really existed for seven or eight years," he said. According to Hopkins, Indian content is making its presence felt on a global level. Last year, he said, Indian titles were watched in over 200 countries and territories worldwide. He said that while the streamer commissions programming in different parts of the world, the core philosophy has always been that the content should first work with the audience it is made for. "(In India,) we've really knocked it out of the park. Some of the shows that are working the best for us internationally are 'Farzi', 'Indian Police Force', 'The Family Man' and many more. So we couldn't be more thrilled with what's going on here." The India slate announcement featured returning titles such as "Mirzapur 3", "Panchayat 3" and "Pataal Lok 2" as well as new shows and movies like "Call Me Bae", "Be Happy" and "<keyword id="20354241" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="subedar" source="keywords">Subedar</keyword>". The slate also featured titles such as "Citadel: Honey Bunny", "Daldal", which marks Bhumi Pednekar's OTT debut, Ankur Tewari and Swanand Kirkire-created "Bandwale" and "Daring Partners" starring Tamannaah Bhatia and Diana Penty.

The mercury level in the country’s capital is soaring quite high this summer. And to escape from the heat wave, we decided to go out of the city. Being nearer to the <keyword id="52569" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="himalayas">Himalayas</keyword>, hills were our first preference. However, a new resort, <keyword id="4504487" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="le-reserve">Le Reserve</keyword> Corbett at <keyword id="94857" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Jim-Corbett-National-Park">Jim Corbett National Park</keyword> in <keyword id="44522" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Uttarakhand">Uttarakhand</keyword> in the foothills of the <keyword id="4504488" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="kumaon-himalayas">Kumaon Himalayas</keyword> made us change our mind. The rustic and wooden feel of the property with an asymmetric pool, as displayed on the internet, made us choose our April getaway at the jungle this time. 
 
This place is listed on most of the popular online portals; however you can contact the property directly over a call for better deals. 
 There is a good part about <keyword id="18633" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Jim-Corbett">Jim Corbett</keyword> area. It’s hilly but without altitude. It’s colder than the city but warmer than hill stations. By road, <keyword id="66744" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Ramnagar">Ramnagar</keyword> where the <keyword id="310615" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Le">Le</keyword> Reserve is located is less than six hours. And if you take the night train you would reach Ramnagar, the station that looks like RK Narayan’s dream town of <keyword id="75873" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Malgudi">Malgudi</keyword>, in five and a half hours. 
 
On a Saturday early morning in the end week of April, we checked ourselves in at Le Reserve Corbett. The estate has recently been converted into a luxurious resort with jungles all around. 
 Keeping in sync with the ambience of the place, wood has been extensively used. Right from the rooms to the front desk, the scent of pine wood is addictive. The owner <keyword id="4504486" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="karan-tewari">Karan Tewari</keyword> has done a commendable job here. 
 
The concierge processed our booking and told us our room was on the first floor. The room is spacious enough with a bed is designed like a log. The cane furniture in the room gives it a typical cottage kind of feel. The first floor rooms have veranda that overlook the pool. We could see the sky gathering the grey clouds of midsummer and preparing for a heavy shower. Relishing over the tea, we were enjoying the chilled breeze coming from the upper Himalayas. 
 All meals are served at the restaurant by the pool, Ambrosia. The chef is a local chap who knows cuisines well. While he served us Indian as well as Chinese during our stay for two days, I would any day choose his <keyword id="2710320" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Kumaoni">Kumaoni</keyword> cuisine over anything else. Kumaoni dal or Kumaoni lauki masala (gourd curry) are the must try dishes at the place. If you are a non vegetarian, opt for chef’s choice of village chicken and you would definitely relish the delicacy. 
 Soon after the lunch and a short afternoon siesta, we were ready for the jungle safari, the most important part of Jim Corbett trip. Le Reserve’s concierge will make all arrangements for you, if you want. The journey from the resort to the <keyword id="4504485" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="durga-devi-gate">Durga Devi Gate</keyword> of Corbett is nearly 15 kilometres and worth it, thanks to the open jeep cruising at 110 km/hr. 
 
We returned from the safari right after the sunset and the high tea at the sprawling lawn of the resort has begun. There is a regular guitarist who would keep the place enliven. While he was singing songs from the yesteryears and we were sipping on whisky – both got blended into an addictive concoction. The tasty pakoras kept flowing in and soon after another big group joined us after their safari and they were sharing their experience. The lawn at seven o’clock in the evening has suddenly turned into a hunter’s lodge where people share their experiences after a long day of hunting. 
 
Some of us started humming to the tunes of the songs, played by the guitarist. And the confident ones gradually started singing songs by themselves. An hour later, when few of the guests were still swimming in the 4.85 foot deep pool, a smiling staff came to us to inform us that the dinner is being served. Again the dinner consisted of dishes that were local and tasted heaven. As the night got darker, the guitarists have left and the bonfire at the lawn has just burnt out, you can hear some howls coming from far away. When inquired, one of the staffs informed us that often wild foxes and barking deer come near the highway and that’s the origin of the screams. 
 The next morning, we walked for 10 minutes and spotted the <keyword id="390762" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Kosi-river">Kosi River</keyword>, one of the tributaries of the Ganga right behind the resort. The summer months are dry and the river doesn’t have much water. On our way back, we spotted a herd of three spotted deer drinking water at the river. 
 If you get into the pool, just be cautious, it’s 4.85 feet at one side. The pool isn’t suitable for diving, though. And there will be wild monkeys around you drinking water from the pool. <keyword id="7308" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Don">Don</keyword>’t be scared, it’s their place we have invaded.

Mumbai, May 4 () Bollywood superstars Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Madhuri Dixit Nene among others turned signers for a digital concert to raise funds for the frontliners working round-the-clock to contain the coronavirus pandemic in the country.Facebook collaborated with some of the biggest names in Indian entertainment industry and Hollywood names like Mick Jagger, Will Smith and Sophie Turner to put together a home-to-home fundraiser concert, 'I For India' on Sunday.The line-up was introduced by filmmakers Karan Johar and Zoya Akhtar, with Akshay Kumar kick-starting the concert with a poem penned by lyricist Manoj Muntashir, titled "Tumse Ho Nahi Payega."It was followed by Aamir and his director-wife Kiran Rao, who said it was important in current times to extend support to the needy."But most importantly, to not leave hope," Aamir said, urging people to donate for the frontline workers. The duo then sang classics such as "Aa Chalke Tujhe Main Leke Chalun" and "Jeena Isika Naam Hai".Shah Rukh closed the concert with a song composed by rapper Badshah and penned by lyricist Saini. Titled "Sab Sahi Ho Jayega", the song is about the perils of being locked up inside homes and the hope that sooner or later the world will be coronavirus free. "Everybody who knows me knows that I cannot sing to save my life. So thank you for taking a chance on me, everybody. But that's what life is about, it's about good chances, hope, kindness and compassion in whatever ways we can," Shah Rukh said.Shah Rukh's son, AbRam, also made an appearance in the song and the duo put up some adorable dance moves together. Towards the end, when the "Fan" actor said he can go for "one more", AbRam said, "Papa, it's enough."Madhuri performed her rendition of popstar Ed Sheeran's "Perfect" with her son Arin on the piano. Alia Bhatt, along with sister Shaheen and composer Ankur Tewari, sang "Ek Kudi" from her film "Udta Punjab" and title song of her father Mahesh Bhatt's film "Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin".Alia and Shaheen thanked the essential service providers and frontline workers for their continued, winning efforts amid testing times.Farhan Akhtar, along with his band, performed "Tum Ho Toh" from his film "Rock On!!", while Hrithik sang the popular track "Tere Jaisa Yaar Kahan" and played the piano. Tiger Shroff, known for his dance moves and action films, sang "Theher Ja Tu Kisi Bahane Se" and the classic "Roop Tera Mastana".
