The company started the jewellery business in 1993 with a single showroom in Thrissur district in Kerala and has now completed over 25 years in the jewellery industry with 107 showrooms located across 21 states and union territories. Founded by TS Kalyanaraman, who has over 45 years of retail experience, the company has an international presence with 30 showrooms located in the middle East as of December 2020. In August last year, Kalyan Jewellers had filed preliminary papers for the IPO and obtained Securities and Exchange Board of India’s (SEBI) go-ahead in October.
