<ul class="summary-list"><li><keyword id="9361407" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="alex-perez">Alex Perez</keyword> scored a rare calf kick knockout at <keyword id="9341735" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="ufc-250">UFC 250</keyword> on Saturday.</li><li>The American fighter kicked <keyword id="9361408" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="jussier-formiga">Jussier Formiga</keyword> so hard in the leg, that his opponent couldn't even stand, let alone walk, straight after.</li><li>It was a lesson taught by the infamous Karate Kid part III character Cobra Kai in 1989: "If a man can't stand, he can't fight."</li><li>Watch Perez perfect that lesson with his first round KO in Las Vegas, below.</li></ul><p>A <keyword id="992778" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="60" keywordseo="UFC">UFC</keyword> fighter scored a rare type of knockout Saturday when he kicked his opponent so hard in the calf that the guy couldn't even stand, let alone walk, straight after.</p><p>The flyweight fight, the third bout at <a href="https://www.insider.com/category/ufc-250" target="_blank" rel="noopener">the UFC 250 event</a> in the UFC-owned Apex facility in Las Vegas, was scheduled to go three rounds on June 6.</p><p>But Alex Perez, a 28-year-old American, needed little more than four minutes to end the contest as he kicked Jussier Formiga's leg so hard that all his opponent could do was fall to the floor in agony.</p><p>It is a lesson taught by the infamous character Cobra Kai in the wildly popular 1989 movie Karate Kid part III starring Ralf Macchio, when Kai said: "If a man can't stand, he can't fight."</p><p>Formiga couldn't walk, stand, or even stay upright after Perez was done with him.</p><p><strong>Watch the rare, calf kick KO right here:</strong></p><p>"It means a lot, I've fought a lot of guys," Perez said after his first round knockout win, one which extended his record to 24 wins (5 knockouts, 7 submissions, 12 decisions) against 5 losses.</p><p>"I feel like he's been the toughest guy I've fought so far. It's kind of a bittersweet feeling, I've known this guy for a long time, I met him about 2010, my second amateur fight, when he was the No. 1 guy in the world at the time.</p><p>"It's kind of like full circle, I came back and I fought him.
