According to a study, regular physical activity might aid adolescents with behavioural issues and their mental health.<br /><br />Researchers revealed that regular moderate to intense physical activity between the ages of 11 and 13 was associated with better mental health.<br /><br />Physical activity was also associated with reduced hyperactivity and behavioural problems, such as loss of temper, fighting with other children, lying, and stealing, in young people.<br /><br />Researchers from the <keyword id="2138137" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="universities-of-edinburgh" source="Orion">Universities of Edinburgh</keyword>, Strathclyde, Bristol, and Georgia in the United States explored data from the Children of the 90s study (also known as the Avon Longitudinal Study of Parents and Children; ALSPAC). They looked at the levels of physical activity of 4755 11-year-olds which was measured using devices.<br /><br />The devices recorded levels of moderate physical activity - typically defined as brisk walking or cycling - as well as vigorous activity which boosts heart rate and breathing, such as aerobic dancing, jogging or swimming.<br /><br />The young people and their parents reported on their levels of depressive symptoms from age 11 and at age 13 years. Participants' parents and teachers were also quizzed about the young people's general behaviour and emotional difficulties.<br /><br />In analysing the impact of moderate to vigorous exercise on the young people's mental health and behaviour, the team also considered factors such as age, sex and socio-economic status.<br /><br />They found that higher levels of moderate or intense physical activity had a small but detectable association with decreases in depressive symptoms and emotional difficulties.<br /><br />Regular exercise had a small but detectable association with reduced behavioural problems, even after controlling for other possible influences, the study found.<br /><br />The findings suggest regular moderate and intense physical activity may have a small protective influence on mental health in early adolescence, researchers say.<br /><br />Dr <keyword id="2126128" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="josie-booth" source="Orion">Josie Booth</keyword>, of the University of Edinburgh's Moray House School of Education and Sport, said: "This study adds to the increasing evidence base about how important physical activity is for all aspects of young people's development - it can help them feel better, and do better at school. Supporting young people to lead healthy active lives should be prioritised."<br /><br />Researchers say the study is the first to offer such a comprehensive approach to examining mental health and exercise in young people.<br /><br />Professor <keyword id="1023265" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="john-reilly" source="Orion">John Reilly</keyword>, at the <keyword id="348986" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="university-of-strathclyde" source="Orion">University of Strathclyde</keyword>, said: "While it might seem obvious that physical activity improves mental health the evidence for such a benefit in children and young people has been scarce, so the study findings are important. I'm so grateful I got to love him. I'm so grateful I made it in time to hold him and say goodbye. I honestly don't know what I'm going to do, but I know he'll be with me. I love you forever Daddy."</p><p>Reilly was <a href="https://chicago.suntimes.com/movies-and-tv/2021/1/10/22224128/john-reilly-dead-general-hospital-actor-obituary-sean-donely-passions-days-of-our-lives-sunset-beach">born in Chicago, Illinois</a>, according to the Chicago Sun-Times, and emerged as a familiar figure in <keyword id="4578" type="COMPANY" weightage="60" keywordseo="entertainment">entertainment</keyword> and daytime television. He is survived by his wife, Liz, and three daughters. </p><p>The circumstances and details surrounding Reilly's death have not been publicly disclosed. </p><h2><strong>The soap opera industry is paying tribute to John Reilly on social media in the wake of his death</strong></h2><p>Former co-stars and others in the entertainment industry began sharing their condolences on Instagram and Twitter Saturday night.</p><p>Finola Hughes, a longtime soap actress who plays Anna Devane on "General Hospital," shared a message about Reilly to her <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/CJ4S5J_Jj1U/">Instagram</a> account. </p><p>Hughes wrote, "Darling John Reilly. One of the first days I walked on the GH set this tall, handsome man in a leather jacket sauntered towards me. In his deep, all American growl he welcomed me to the show and told me he would be there for me should I ever need anything. Boy was he true to his word."</p><p>Hughes called Reilly a "consummate professional" with whom she would practice her lines each day and break down scenes on set. </p><p>"At the end of each scene John would do one of two things. He would either bellow his contagious laugh or he would get a quizzical expression on his face and ask 'Was that it? Did we get it?'" wrote Hughes.</p><p>"Brilliantly intuitive, yet he was always concerned with the outcome. John's sensitivity and kindness was most apparent with his family and friends. His love of his wife Liz and their gorgeous daughters was legion. I am so happy I got to experience and see that love firsthand. One of a kind. Fellow Irishman, Godspeed. That helped it beat Wall Street's estimates to post adjusted earnings of $0.41 per share where analysts had expected $0.28. It also beat on revenue, bringing in $391.92 million where analysts had expected $369 million. </p><p>To keep the wave rolling, SeaWorld said it's also planning a similar beer fest later this quarter at its San Antonio location and both Busch Gardens parks in Virginia and Tampa Bay.</p><p>"<span>We are particularly pleased with our second quarter attendance growth, which more than offset the negative impacts from unfavorable weather across several of our markets in the quarter, and the earlier timing of the Easter holiday in 2018, which benefitted the first quarter at the expense of the second quarter," Reilly <a href="http://www.seaworldinvestors.com/news-releases/news-release-details/2018/SeaWorld-Entertainment-Inc-Reports-Strong-Second-Quarter-and-First-Half-2018-Results-Announces-2020-Goal-for-Adjusted-EBITDA/default.aspx">said in a press release. </a></span></p><p>SeaWorld has born the brunt of activism in recent years following the 2013 release of Blackfish, a documentary focused on the parks' killer whale program. SeaWorld surges after saying free beer helped it bring in more visitors to its parks

An indictment unsealed on Thursday accuses Campos and Flores, nephews of Venezuela's first lady, of conspiring to smuggle cocaine into the US.</p></div><p></p></div></div></p><p>US prosecutors <a href="http://www.reuters.com/article/us-venezuela-usa-crime-idUSKCN12R2RS" target="_blank">say</a> conversations between one of the Venezuelan first lady's nephews and an informant reveal the political motivations behind what has become known as the "narco nephews" case that has further inflamed tensions between the US and Venezuela.</p><p>Franqui Francisco Flores de Freitas and Efrain Antonio Campo Flores, nephews of Cilia Flores, the wife of Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro, were <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/r-us-links-venezuelan-official-related-to-maduro-to-drug-probe-2016-9" target="_blank">arrested</a> in November 2015 in Haiti and transferred to the US, where they are slated to face <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/lying-informants-hurt-us-drug-case-venezuela-maduro-nephews-2016-9" target="_blank">trial on charges of drug trafficking</a> starting <a href="http://www.mcclatchydc.com/news/nation-world/national/article111181662.html" target="_blank">November 7</a>.</p><p>A transcript of a conversation between Efrain Campo, 29, and a Drug Enforcement Administration informant that was seen by McClatchy details Campo saying "<a href="http://www.mcclatchydc.com/news/nation-world/national/article111181662.html" target="_blank">we're at war</a>" with the Americans, referring to the deeply contentious relationship between Washington and Caracas. </p><p>Campo also <a href="http://www.mcclatchydc.com/news/nation-world/national/article111181662.html" target="_blank">reportedly wanted</a> the alleged deal to smuggle <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/lying-informants-hurt-us-drug-case-venezuela-maduro-nephews-2016-9" target="_blank">nearly 1,800 pounds of cocaine</a> into the US to be concluded quickly because Cilia Flores, his aunt whom he referred to as his mother in the conversation, needed the cash for her campaign.</p><p>"We need the money," Campo <a href="http://www.mcclatchydc.com/news/nation-world/national/article111181662.html" target="_blank">said</a>, according to the transcript. "Why? Because the Americas are hitting us hard with money. Do you understand? US prosecutors <a href="http://www.reuters.com/article/us-venezuela-usa-crime-idUSKCN12R2RS" target="_blank">say</a> the conversations reveal that the defendants thought they would be supplying cash to counteract money they believed the US was supplying the opposition ahead of those legislative elections.</p><p>Based on <a href="http://www.mcclatchydc.com/news/nation-world/national/article111181662.html" target="_blank">information</a> previously released by prosecutors, Francisco Flores expected to receive $560,000 of the $5 million the deal was worth.</p><p>Campo addressed the socialist party's efforts defeat the political opposition's challenge to its power, saying "We put them in jail over here ...
