Midwest Tungsten, which supplies the metal for industrial uses, is selling an NFT of its 14.545-inch, 2,000-pound cube, according to a <a href="https://opensea.io/assets/0x495f947276749ce646f68ac8c248420045cb7b5e/36033305814565393839012117540795495898903988734891995320738861183142759235585/">listing on OpenSea</a>."This NFT represents a real-world physical cube that will be stored at Midwest Tungsten Service headquarters and owned by the NFT owner. One visit to see/photograph/touch the cube per calendar year will be allowed and scheduled with a Midwest Tungsten Service representative," the company said on the site. The listing added that the NFT owner can opt to replace the cube with a larger size, depending on availability and capability, during each annual visit. Midwest Tungsten has been feeding into the crypto world's hype around its metal specialty. Last week, the company announced it would accept bitcoin for purchases of its small tungsten cubes. The initial interest in tungsten cubes may have stemmed from an Oct. 12 tweet joking that crypto traders caused a shortage of the item. An actual, temporary shortage of the cubes then resulted with one of the 4-inch cubes that weighs about 40 pounds selling for about $3,000 on Amazon, Insider previously reported. Accordingly, the ACCC wanted to make data collection policies transparent and enforce “data portability” –empowering users to control their own data. Instead, it says it will consult further on this meaning for now, it looks like you’re mostly on your own. What it would commit to is raising the penalties for breaching the privacy act. Their profits have been eroded as the journalism they pay for is shared freely on platforms from which they don’t derive a profit. In response, the ACCC recommended $50 million be collected form the tech platforms to fund local journalism. The government isn’t having it. Instead, it has said it’s funding of the ABC and SBS is sufficient — $3.2 billion and $887 million over the next three years. It will, however, increase grants for regional journalism. “The Government will enhance the Regional and Small Publishers Jobs and Innovation Package to better support the production of high quality news, particularly in regional and remote areas of Australia,” it said. Our primary focus remains on achieving economy-wide privacy protection, data portability and a user focused digital news distribution code, while preserving the many benefits that technology delivers in this country.” That’s lucky considering the government seems unlikely to mandate its behaviour. Google was slightly less verbose. “We have engaged closely with the ACCC and the Government throughout this comprehensive process and will continue to do so in 2020, including on focus areas such as privacy, ad tech and our work with publishers,” a Google spokesperson said. Industry lobbyist DIGI told Business Insider Australia it will be screening the proposals for “unintended consequences” but it too appeared largely content with the government’s response at this stage. “DIGI is supportive of efforts to modernise relevant media laws for a digital era, and we look forward to contributing to the development of a regulatory framework that duly recognises some of the fundamental differences between digital products and media businesses,” managing director Sunita Bose said in a statement. With the government now taking an active interest in constraining the two platforms, however, it certainly won’t be the last word we’ll hear from them.

Of these, 31,230 sellers saw their highest ever single day sales during the two-day sale and nearly 25% more sellers’ grossed sales over ₹1 crore as compared to last year’s Prime Day. The company has over 8 lakh sellers listed on its e-commerce platform. Customers from over 96% pincodes of India placed their orders on Prime Day. “We dedicated this Prime Day to SMBs and local stores and are humbled by their participation. Prime members shopped from more than 126,000 SMBs and stores from across over 6,800 pincodes, making it the biggest ever sales for SMBs on Amazon.in. We are also excited that the month leading up to Prime Day became Prime Video’s best ever viewership period, firmly establishing that India loves free, fast shipping, exclusive shopping and digital benefits that Prime offers,” said Akshay Sahi, director of Prime and Fulfillment Experience at Amazon India. The company also revealed that more than 70% of new Prime members shop from outside of the top 10 cities including towns like Anantnag in Jammu &amp; Kashmir, Bokaro in Jharkhand, Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh, Mokokchung in Nagaland, Hoshiarpur in Punjab, Nilgiris in Tamil Nadu, Gadag in Karnataka and Kasargod in Kerala.
