The devices, according to the company are aimed at 2G users looking to shift to 4G phones. The two new feature phones are the successors of the popular JioBharat V2 feature phone. The JioBharat V3 features a sleek design, keeping design in mind over functionality. The JioBharat V4 on the other hand packs features, despite featuring a minimalistic design. The JioBharat V3 and V4 are both equipped with a suite of Jio services, including JioPay which gives access to unified payments interface (UPI), JioTV, which offers access to 455 live TV channels, JioCinema and more. JioBharat V3 and V4 4G feature phones launched at ₹1,099

The National Payments Corporation of India (<keyword id="193629" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="npci" source="Orion">NPCI</keyword>), along with telecom major <keyword id="2003276" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="jio" source="Orion">Jio</keyword>, on Thursday announced that <keyword id="9621522" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="upi-autopay" source="Orion">UPI Autopay</keyword> has now been introduced for the telecom industry with Jio. Jio customers can now set standing instructions on the MyJio App using UPI <keyword id="2836894" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="autopay" source="Orion">Autopay</keyword> for their favourite tariff plans. "The combination of Jio's superior prepaid and postpaid plans and UPI Autopay will now be available to every Jio user," Kiran Thomas, Director, Jio, said in a statement. "Jio users will no longer need to remember their recharge renewal date or bill payment date and perform manual payments. This will enable an ALWAYS-ON service experience for every Jio prepaid user," Thomas added. Jio's integration with UPI Autopay has made it the first player in the telecom industry to go live with the unique e-mandate feature that was launched by NPCI. "We are glad to associate with Jio and witness UPI Autopay venturing into the ever-evolving telecom sector. We believe our collaboration will change the way Jio customers experience the renewal of their mobile tariff plans," said Kunal Kalawatia, Chief of Products, NPCI. Jio users can now use UPI to automatically recharge their numbers or make bill payments

Jio has come up with special initiatives for the pandemic period including free 300 minutes of outgoing calls per month for the entire period of the pandemic, to <keyword id="4792220" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="JioPhone">JioPhone</keyword> users who have not been able to recharge due to the ongoing pandemic. "We at Jio want to ensure that staying connected remains accessible and affordable for all customers, especially the less-privileged sections of our society," said a company statement. "Jio working with <keyword id="10926" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Reliance">Reliance</keyword> Foundation will provide 300 free minutes of outgoing calls per month (10 minutes per day) for the entire period of the pandemic, to JioPhone users who have not been able to recharge due to the ongoing pandemic," it said. Further, to further enhance affordability, for every JioPhone plan recharged by JioPhone user, they will get an additional recharge plan of the same value for free. Elaborating the offering, the statement said that a JioPhone user recharging with Rs 75 plan, will get an additional Rs 75 plan absolutely free. "Reliance is committed to standing with every Indian during these challenging times, and will continue to make every effort to enable our fellow citizens to overcome the difficulties created by the pandemic," it added. The statement, however, clarified that the offer is not applicable on annual or JioPhone device bundled plans.
