New Delhi, With the start of the World Cup cricket tournament, Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel have rolled out plans to woo cricket fans. Reliance Jio has started offering multiple prepaid plans bundled with Disney+ Hotstar where users will be able to watch World Cup cricket matches. Bharti Airtel has launched two plans, which include unlimited data for 2 days against a payment of Rs 99 and 6GB of additional data with 1-day validity for Rs 49. On the other hand, Jio has rolled out monthly, quarterly and annual plans bundled with data, unlimited voice, and subscription to Disney+ Hotstar mobile. Jio's basic plan is priced at Rs 328 and comes with 1.5 GB high-speed data per day for 28 days and a 3-month Disney+ Hotstar mobile subscription. In addition, Jio has also introduced a Rs 758 plan, which offers 1.5 GB of high-speed data per day for 84 days and comes with a 3-month Disney+ Hotstar mobile subscription. Similarly, plans priced at Rs 388 and Rs 808 offer 2 GB of high-speed data per day for 28 and 84 days, respectively, and come with 3 months of Disney+ Hotstar mobile subscription. In addition, the 84-day Rs 598 plan and the annual Rs 3,178 plan offer users one year of Disney+ Hotstar mobile subscription and 2GB high-speed data per day. With the Disney+ Hotstar bundled plans, Jio users will also get access to Disney+ Hotstar's library of specials, and national and international content, as per the company's website.

Jio has come up with special initiatives for the pandemic period including free 300 minutes of outgoing calls per month for the entire period of the pandemic, to <keyword id="4792220" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="JioPhone">JioPhone</keyword> users who have not been able to recharge due to the ongoing pandemic. "We at Jio want to ensure that staying connected remains accessible and affordable for all customers, especially the less-privileged sections of our society," said a company statement. "Jio working with <keyword id="10926" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Reliance">Reliance</keyword> Foundation will provide 300 free minutes of outgoing calls per month (10 minutes per day) for the entire period of the pandemic, to JioPhone users who have not been able to recharge due to the ongoing pandemic," it said. Further, to further enhance affordability, for every JioPhone plan recharged by JioPhone user, they will get an additional recharge plan of the same value for free. Elaborating the offering, the statement said that a JioPhone user recharging with Rs 75 plan, will get an additional Rs 75 plan absolutely free. "Reliance is committed to standing with every Indian during these challenging times, and will continue to make every effort to enable our fellow citizens to overcome the difficulties created by the pandemic," it added. The statement, however, clarified that the offer is not applicable on annual or JioPhone device bundled plans. Reliance Jio is offering a ₹75 top-up for JioPhone users on the next recharge ⁠— conditions apply

What is Jio Fiber Preview Offer? Reliance Jio undertook a limited trial of the Jio Fiber service starting in July 2017. for the last two years, the company has been testing its broadband in several cities across India. After ramping up its services over this period, Jio announced the commercial launch in September 2019 with speeds ranging from 100Mbps to 1Gbps. The Jio Fiber preview offer allowed users to enjoy the fiber broadband services without having to pay anything. Users were only required to pay a security deposit of ₹4,500 or ₹2,500 depending on the router selected. While Jio had a cap of 100GB before the free usage plans kicked in, all that users had to do was use a free voucher from the MyJio app that offered another 100GB of high-speed data.
