<keyword id="6354504" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Reliance-Jio" source="Orion">Reliance Jio</keyword> on Tuesday announced the Beta trial of its True-5G services on Dussehra for <keyword id="2003276" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="jio" source="Orion">Jio</keyword> users in four cities - Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, and Varanasi. The invites customers in these four cities will get unlimited 5G data with up to 1 Gbps+ speeds. The Beta trial service for other cities will be announced progressively as cities keep getting ready, said the company. The users will continue to avail of Beta trial "until the network coverage of a city is substantially complete to provide the best coverage and user experience to every customer," it said. The company said that invited 'Jio Welcome Offer' users will be automatically upgraded to the Jio True 5G service without needing to change their existing Jio SIM or 5G handset. Akash M. Ambani, Chairman, Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd, said that Prime Minister has given a clarion call for accelerated roll-out of 5G across India to realise the full potential of a Digital India. "In response, Jio has prepared an ambitious and the fastest ever 5G roll-out plan for a country of our size," said Ambani. Jio said it is also working with all handset brands to enable their 5G handsets to work seamlessly with Jio True 5G services so that customers have the most comprehensive range of 5G devices to choose from.

<keyword id="6354504" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="reliance-jio" source="Orion">Reliance Jio</keyword> recorded almost 600 Mbps median download speed on its <keyword id="764355" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="5g" source="Orion">5G</keyword> network in <keyword id="66" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="delhi" source="Orion">Delhi</keyword> while India's overall 5G speed hit 500 Mbps as the country rolled out 5G services, a report showed on Tuesday. According to Ookla's 'Speedtest Intelligence' report, telecom operators have been testing their networks and they witnessed a wide range of 5G download speeds -- from low double-digit (16.27 Mbps) to 809.94 Mbps. "This data points to the fact that the operators are still recalibrating their networks. The speeds are expected to be more stable moving forward as these networks will enter the commercial stage," the report mentioned. Ookla compared median 5G download speeds across four cities where both <keyword id="2003276" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="jio" source="Orion">Jio</keyword> and <keyword id="15491" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="airtel" source="Orion">Airtel</keyword> have built their networks. In Delhi, Airtel reached nearly 200 Mbps median download speed at 197.98 Mbps while Jio almost broke 600 Mbps (598.58 Mbps). In Kolkata, operators' median download speeds varied the most since June. Airtel's median download speed was 33.83 Mbps while Jio had faster median download speed at 482.02 Mbps. In Mumbai, Airtel's has reached 271.07 Mbps median download speed compared to Jio's 515.38 Mbps median download since June. In Varanasi, Jio and Airtel achieved closer parity, with Airtel achieving a 5G median download speed at 516.57 Mbps to Jio's 485.22 Mbps median download speed since June 2022. Bharti Airtel has launched their 5G services in eight cities and Jio's 5G beta trial "Jio True 5G for All" is now available with select users in four cities a" Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Varanasi. As per Ookla's recent consumer survey, 89 per cent of Indian smartphone users are ready to upgrade to 5G. "The new 5G results show that 5G speeds are far superior than India's existing network. While we need to approach these early results with caution, 5G devices are already showing they can achieve much faster speeds, at least under artificial controlled testing circumstances e.g., no network congestion and ideal network coverage," the report noted. According to the Speedtest Global Index, India ranked 117th in the world for mobile download speed at 13.52 Mbps in August. Hyderabad is where all operators have seen significant growth in terms of 5G-capable devices, with Jio even tripling its install base. Reliance Jio records 600 Mbps 5G speed in Delhi

Jio also mentioned in the statement that these users need to update to the latest iPhone iOS and carrier settings. The company said it had provided Jio Welcome Offer on users' numbers to enable unlimited 5G usage. Owners of iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max, iPhone 13 Mini, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 13, Pro Max, iPhone SE 2022 (3rd gen), iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max can access Jio's 5 services from today. Apple on November 11 confirmed that it started rolling out the iOS 16 Beta Software Program. In the statement, the company said users should update device software to iOS 16.2 or later, then turn on 5G from 'Settings' and finally turn on 5G Standalone. Apple recently released the iOS 16.2 update which will enable iPhone users in India to avail 5G services of Jio and Bharti Airtel. Both fifth-generation mobile system (5G) services were launched on Airtel and Reliance Jio last month, however, many users in India couldn't access 5G on their compatible smartphones including iPhones. Jio launches 5G services with unlimited data for iPhone 12 and above

<keyword id="6354504" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="reliance-jio" source="Orion">Reliance Jio</keyword> on Friday announced the launch of its <keyword id="764355" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="5g" source="Orion">5G</keyword> services in four more cities, namely Gwalior, Jabalpur, Ludhiana and Siliguri, taking the total number of cities with <keyword id="2003276" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="jio" source="Orion">Jio</keyword>'s 5G services to 72. The service provider said Jio True 5G was rolling out at a rapid pace and was the only 5G service to be present in majority of these cities, providing Jio users transformational benefits of technology. Jio in a statement said the launch strengthens Jio True 5G coverage in Madhya Pradesh, close to the unveiling of coveted events like Pravasi Bharatiya Divas and Invest MP - Global Investor Summit at Indore. With it, Reliance Jio said it became the first and the only operator in Madhya Pradesh to launch 5G services across all large cities of Madhya Pradesh including Bhopal and Indore. Jio is also the only operator to launch 5G services in Ludhiana, thereby rapidly strengthening its True 5G coverage in Punjab, which was launched last week, according to the statement. The company said its users in these cities would be invited to the Jio Welcome Offer, to experience unlimited data at more than 1 (gigabit per second) Gbps speeds, at no additional cost, starting from Friday. According to a company, Jio launched fifth-generation mobile system (5G) services Delhi, Mumbai, Varanasi and Kolkata on October 4 this year while it was launched in Nathdwara and Chennai on October 22. It also mentioned the service provider launched 5G services in Bengaluru and Hyderabad on November 10 while it was launched in Gurugram, Noida, Ghaziabad and Faridabad on the following day. Pune had access to Jio 5G services on November 23 while 33 districts of Gujarat had the services on November 25.
