<ul><li><keyword id="45224" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="mahindra" source="Orion">Mahindra</keyword> launched a new mini truck <keyword id="14665590" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="jeeto-plus-cng" source="Orion">Jeeto Plus CNG</keyword> CharSau at a price of ₹5.26 lakhs.</li><li>The mini truck has a range of up to 400km with a mileage of 35.1 km/kg.</li><li>The truck comes with a low maintenance cost of 22 paise per km, the company says.</li></ul>Mahindra today launched a new mini truck, <keyword id="2388390" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="jeeto" source="Orion">Jeeto</keyword> Plus CNG CharSau, that’s priced at ₹5.26 lakhs. This adds to the company’s Jeeto Plus range, and claims that it sets new standards in fuel efficiency and mileage. “We understand the growing challenges of the transport business and constantly strive to provide suitable solutions in line with the evolving demands of our customers. I am confident that, as with other Mahindra products, the New Jeeto Plus CNG CharSau will open up new business applications for CNG vehicles,” said <keyword id="2932397" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="amit-sagar" source="Orion">Amit Sagar</keyword>, business head of Mahindra automotive <keyword id="730399" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="scv" source="Orion">SCV</keyword> division. The truck comes with a low maintenance cost of 22 paise per km, the company says. It has a cabin, to provide better safety in the event of a crash. It will be available in three colours — diamond white, ultramarine blue and sunrise red. “Aimed at small and medium scale businessmen and traders across <keyword id="3658" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="india" source="Orion">India</keyword> to offer dependable last-mile logistics and transportation solutions, the launch offer includes 1.99% interest rate, in turn offering savings of up to ₹5 lakhs over a 4-year period,” the company said in a statement. The mini truck has a contemporary exterior with an impressive characteristic front grille. It also has a range of up to 400 kms and a mileage of 35.1 km/kg. It also comes with a three years warranty or 72,000 kms, whichever is earlier. Launched in 2015, Jeeto is one of Mahindra’s most successful small commercial vehicle ranges. It has eight mini trucks in the sub-1 tonne load segment. Mahindra adds a new mini truck to its Jeeto Plus range

One of the biggest concerns for any airline passenger is arriving at their destination but their baggage does not. The good news is that increased digitization, automation and other smart baggage systems have over the past few years contributed to a significant drop in the number of mishandled bags globally. 
 
According to the 2016 SITA Baggage Report, baggage mishandling rates have plunged 65.3% between 2007 and 2015, saving the air transport industry around US$22.4 billion and increasing passenger confidence in airlines’ ability to delivery baggage on time. 
 
Given technology’s role in these achievements, it’s no wonder that investment in further baggage systems automation and processes remains high on the agenda for most airlines and airports. 
 
The challenge is to further reduce mishandled baggage rates over the next few years while passenger numbers globally are expected to double from today’s 3.3-billion passengers by the mid-2030s. 
 
Bag tracking 
 
The industry’s continued sharp focus on smarter baggage is imperative to further reducing baggage mishandling rates. A key industry priority is to keep track of passengers’ bags through all major stages of the journey – helping improve the travel experience, save money and keep passengers in the know. 
 Bag tracking is also a crucial focus area given the demands of <keyword id="64233" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="IATA">IATA</keyword>’s Resolution 753, which requires airlines keep tabs on every item of baggage from start to finish and to maintain an accurate inventory of baggage by monitoring the acquisition and delivery of baggage. The resolution will come into effect in June 2018. 
 
Parcel-like 
 
SITA’s new BagJourney will help airlines and airports track bags every step of the way as well as provide the possibility of sharing those updates with their passengers. 
 
In fact, it’s an innovative solution that enables passengers to track their bag like they would a parcel and is able to follow each bag from check-in to final delivery through multiple airports and airlines. 
 
SITA 2016 Passenger IT Trends Survey shows that 79% of passengers said they would definitely use a mobile bag notification service while two-thirds said they would use mobile to report missing baggage at the airport. 
 
With 95% of passengers carrying a smart mobile device when traveling, there’s now the huge potential for airlines and airports to provide them with real-time information about the status of their bags. It means that passengers’ are no longer waiting for this information to be provided by the airline and have more control over their baggage. 
 
Freed data 
 
BagJourney mines the 2.5 billion baggage information messages (BIMs) which SITA manages on behalf of the airlines and airports in its BagMessage message distribution service to provide a real-time status on each and every bag. More than 220 airports and 500 airlines around the world use BagMessage to exchange information on the location of passengers’ baggage. 
 
 
It’s also uniquely integrated with WorldTracer – the only truly global tracing and matching service of delayed bags. This allows a bag’s journey to continue to be tracked even if it’s mishandled. 
 
 
API power 
 
The new BagJourney service is delivered to the community through an application programming interface (API) via www.developer.aero. 
 
This allows airlines and airports to integrate it into to their existing systems quickly and easily, including services such as mobile updates which they might offer to passengers. 
 
Smarter baggage will continue to improve the travel experience and save money, with real-time bag tracking keeping passengers informed.

<keyword id="9301251" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Global-development-institution" source="Orion">Global development institution</keyword> IFC will invest Rs 600 crore in a new last-mile mobility (LMM) company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of <keyword id="6357096" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Mahindra-Mahindra" source="Orion">Mahindra &amp; Mahindra</keyword> that will be newly incorporated (NewCo), it announced on Wednesday. IFC's first investment in an EV manufacturer in the country, and the first in electric three-wheelers globally, will be in the form of compulsory convertible instruments at a valuation of up to Rs 6,020 crore. The Rs 600 crore investment will result in an ownership of between 9.97 per cent to 13.64 per cent for IFC in NewCo. NewCo will house the last mile mobility division, including three wheelers (Alfa, Treo, Zor) and four-wheeler SCV (Jeeto). "With the electrification of the last mile mobility business at scale, we will move a step further in our commitment to be aPlanet Positive' by 2040. This also presents a tremendous opportunity for growth for micro and women entrepreneurs," said Anish Shah, MD and CEO, Mahindra &amp; Mahindra. India has committed to reducing its emissions profile by 45 per cent by 2030, and simultaneously aims to achieve 80 per cent EV penetration for two-and three-wheelers, 70 per cent for commercial vehicles and 30 per cent for private cars in the same time-frame. "India is the largest three-wheeler market globally, and this investment marks a significant step towards scaled domestic production of electric vehicles catering to this segment, as well as small commercial vehicles," said Hector Gomez Ang, IFC's Regional Director for South Asia. According to Rajesh Jejurikar, Executive Director and CEO (auto and farm sector), Mahindra &amp; Mahindra, being the market leaders in this segment: "We have an opportunity to drive higher EV penetration in this segment and provide a more sustainable as well as profitable option to microentrepreneurs". IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, works in more than 100 countries. In fiscal year 2022, IFC committed a record $32.8 billion to private companies and financial institutions in developing countries. IFC to invest Rs 600 cr in Mahindra & Mahindra's new last-mile EV firm

Time of "degrowth" was over and now the whole auto industry, especially those in the SUV segment, was smelling a turnaround, said Mahindra and <keyword id="6355744" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Mahindra-Group">Mahindra Group</keyword> President (Auto and Farm Sector) <keyword id="156418" type="PERSON" weightage="60" keywordseo="Pawan-Goenka">Pawan Goenka</keyword> to ET Now at the launch of its new small commercial vehicle ‘Jeeto’. Utility vehicle and tractor maker <keyword id="46869" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="MM">M&amp;M</keyword> is expecting a 16 per cent jump in its combined market share in the commercial vehicle segment with new launches. 

	"Our target is always as high as possible but I will not want to guess on what the market share will be like. If I was a customer, I would find this (Jeeto) a very-very good value proposition and the brief that we had given to our teams was that once you look at this vehicle rationally there should be no reason to buy anything else in terms of purchase price, fuel efficiency, maintenance," he said. 
 

	Goenka told ET Now that the company plans to launch one new tractor every year for three years under the Mahindra and Swaraj brands. 
 

	He is optimistic over the number, especially with the report of a turnaround in the monsoon. "Good forecast now will definitely impact the overall sales in the country. There was a lot of pressure on everyone because of the monsoon, especially for Mahindra because two of our core businesses -- tractor and fairly large portion of the automotive segment -- are dependent on the monsoon this year. So we are relieved right now as the signs are that we will have normal monsoon or may be even normal plus, which is good for companies that are playing in this rural economy." 
 Under the Mahindra range of tractors, M&amp;M sells models such as Yuvraj, Arjun, Bhoomiputra, Sarpanch and <keyword id="6362169" type="PERSON" weightage="40" keywordseo="Shaan">Shaan</keyword> at a horse power range of 15 HP to over 50 HP. 

	"Nothing has changed from the last time we had talked, I have talked about launching nine products, three new platforms...we have launched one major change, which was the XUV 5oo. We are launching one new platform today, which is the P601 platform Jeeto vehicle.
