IIT Roorkee announced the JEE Advanced result today on 14 June 2019. Maharashtra’s <keyword id="7757730" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="kartikeya-gupta">Kartikeya Gupta</keyword> topped JEE advanced exam 2019 scoring 346 marks out of 360. Gupta, who is a student from Allen Institute Kota scored 93.7% in class 12th examination and plans to take up computer science at IIT Mumbai. His father is working in the paper industry as a General Manager. On being asked about his secret to success, Gupta told <a href="https://zeenews.india.com/india/maharashtras-kartikeya-gupta-tops-jee-advanced-exam-allahabads-himanshu-singh-2nd-delhis-archit-bubna-3rd-2211477.html">ZEE Business</a> that he used to focus on the entrance study for nearly four to six hours a day. He also noted that daily revision and relaxation of mind is important for better results. Among the toppers is Himanshu Singh from Allahabad and Archit Bubna of New Delhi who secured second and third rank, respectively, in the JEE Advanced examination 2019. The JEE (Main) April 2019 result has been declared at the JEE official website https://jeemain.nic.in around 09:00 pm. The candidates, who appeared for the JEE (Main) April 2019 examination, can check their results through candidate login by visiting the official website (link is given below). New Delhi, The Central Board of Secondary Education (<keyword id="6356155" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="cbse" source="Orion">CBSE</keyword>) on Tuesday announced date sheet for class 10 and 12 board exams with the examination for both classes beginning from February 15. The class 10 exams will conclude on March 13 and the class 12 exams will end on April 2. "While preparing the date sheet, the board has kept in mind that there is sufficient gap between two subjects. Dates of competitive exams like JEE have been kept in mind while deciding schedule for class 12," Examination Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj said.

At an age when most students are clueless about the career they want to pursue, 15-year-old Abhay Agrawal has cracked JEE Advance 2017 - one of India's toughest exam. With 2476 All India Rank, he has even secured a seat in <keyword id="6354859" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="IIT">IIT</keyword>-BHU. Abhay has secured admission in mechanical engineering, but has not yet confirmed his seat and instead opted to `float' the given choice of institute as he wants to study at IIT Roorkee. He jumped initial classes and completed Class 12 before his contemporaries at school. "My parents got me enrolled at a coaching class in the city. Some people discouraged me but that motivated me to study harder," said Abhay. Unlike his classmates, he stayed away from social media and other distractions while preparing for the competition. He comes from a modest family. His father Mukesh works as a pump attendant at Firozabad Nagar Nigam, and his mother, Ekta, is a Class 12 passout. His father said, "Abhay has brought us laurels at an early age. When the chief medical officer in Firozabad had to prepare his medical certificate, he was surprised. At IIT Kanpur also, JEE staff was amazed to know he was this young. He is a talented boy with high capabilities. He would finish BTech also in the stipulated time." Meanwhile, on his feat, a JEE staffer said, "He could be the youngest candidate this year to join an IIT. His class 10 mark sheet confirms that he is fifteen and a half year old. He was born on November 9, 2001.” In class 12 exams Abhay had scored 87.2 percent from CBSE Board and scored 85.63 percent in class 10 from UP Board. Unlike his classmates, he stayed away from social media and other distractions while preparing for the competition. He aspires to own a startup that will deal in products related to robotics.

This is for the students who have appeared for the JEE Mains to register for a seat at NITs while the students who have qualified JEE Advanced examination are eligible for the seat allocation in any of the IITs. The students can register for the Joint Seat Allocation Authority on the official website josaa.nic.in and fill in their choices. The counselling process will commence from today i.e. 16 June and will go on till 25 June 2019. The process will be conducted 7 rounds including 2 mock sessions. While the registrations for AAT (architecture aptitude test) will begin from 21 June 2019. The candidates are required to fill in the choice of colleges in a decreasing order of their preference. However, there is no bar on the number of choices. The students need to lock their choices to save the college preference. In case a student wants to withdraw a seat, he/she can report it until the sixth round of counselling. The Joint Seat Allocation Authority has added 107 new institutions to the process this year.

<ul><li>Students of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) aspiring to qualify for CA examination are protesting against May exam results. </li><li>The students took to Twitter to reveal the errors in the evaluation of examination papers, along with the hashtag #dearICAIpleasechange. </li><li>The students alleged that answer sheets have been evaluated incorrectly, deducting marks for correct answers. </li><li>Given that, the institute said that the November 2019 and May 2020 exam papers will undergo digital evaluation.</li></ul>Students of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) aspiring to qualify CA examination have been<a href="https://www.hindustantimes.com/education/icai-protest-day-2-ca-aspirants-protest-at-200-branches-demand-right-to-revaluation-of-papers-watch/story-NqN3k42b8Nxerke6NHBygM.html"> protesting against the results</a>. The aspirants staged massive protest across 200 branches of the ICAI, demanding revaluation of the examination papers. They are protesting both online and offline. The students took to Twitter to reveal errors in the evaluation under the hashtag #dearICAIpleasechange. According to PTI, students alleged that answer sheets have been evaluated incorrectly, deducting marks for the correct answers as well. The students evaluated their own answers, based on the answer key released released by the institute. "They found that many of their correct answers had been marked as wrong and this way, many students flunked the papers. In some cases, even 12 marks have been deducted," CA Neeraj Arora, ICAI member <a href="https://www.news18.com/news/india/over-200-students-stage-protest-at-icai-claim-papers-not-evaluated-properly-2320029.html">told </a>PTI. The exam was conducted in May. Students accessed their answer copies via RTI (Right To Information) enquiries. Until 2018, the CA Act did not allow students to show the answer copies to any other person, which was scrapped after massive protests during that year. The students even want the institute to penalise examiners for the errors. In response to the student outrage, the institute had put out a notification clarifying that "It has been brought to our notice that certain adverse reports relating to the system of evaluation of answer books of CA exams are doing the rounds on social media." Given that, the institute has introduced changes in the evaluation process for the examinations scheduled for November 2019 and May 2020. The examination papers will now undergo digital evaluation to maintain transparency. It will also eliminate manual errors like totalling, variation in marks according to the examiner. In fact, the institute will also roll out OMR-based evaluation for MCQs of Elective Papers. This will keep the examination objective type, eliminating variations in the subjective answers.
