"In Hyderabad at the shoot for Project K, during an action shot, got injured, rib cartilage popped broke and muscle tear to the right rib cage. Cancelled shoot, did doctor consult &amp; scan by CT at AIG Hospital in Hyderabad and flown back home," posted Amitabh Bachchan. He suffered an injury during an action sequence of the film. He, unfortunately, suffered a muscle tear to his right rib cage. The news was shared by Amitabh Bachchan on his social media accounts, where he shared some images from the shoot of Ki and Ka. However, a look at the surroundings of the super couple hints that the role would most probably be a cameo, because Amitabh and Jaya are shown to be sitting in what looks like their own drawing room, with family images hanged on the wall, including pictures of his father Harivansh Rai Bachchan, son Abhishek and daughter Shweta.

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan on Sunday called off his weekly meet and greet with fans amid the coronavirus pandemic. The 77-year-old actor, who sees his admirers every Sunday at his house Jalsa in Juhu since past 37 years, took to Twitter to share the update. "To all Ef and well wishers an earnest request! Please do not come to Jalsa gate today... Sunday meet (I) am not going to come!" Bachchan wrote on the microblogging site. The veteran actor also urged his fans to take precautions in the wake of COVID-19 outbreak, which has led to more than 5,000 deaths globally. "Take precautions... be safe," he added. The coronavirus outbreak, which originated in the Chinese city of Wuhan, was declared a pandemic by the World Health Organisation (WHO) on Wednesday.

The father-son duo on Saturday posted on Twitter that they had tested positive for COVID-19 and are in the hospital's isolation ward. "I have tested COVID positive. Shifted to hospital. Hospital informing authorities, family and staff undergone tests, results awaited," Amitabh, 77, tweeted. Soon after his father's tweet, Abhishek, 44, wrote on social media that both of them had mild symptoms and requested everybody to be calm. On Sunday, Ansari said both the actors are "stable". "Both Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek are comfortable and feeling better. General blood chemistries are acceptable with stable vitals. Both slept well and had their breakfasts. They are stable," Ansari told . In his tweet on Saturday night, Abhishek said the family was in touch with the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) and were complying with the authorities. On Sunday, a team from the civic body visited Bachchan's bungalows - Janak, Jalsa and Pratiksha for sanitisation and contact tracing. "A team from BMC is present at Amitabh Bachchan's bungalows - Janak, Jalsa and Pratiksha for sanitising the bungalow and contact tracing," a BMC source told . Earlier, Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope revealed that the entire Bachchan family, including veteran actor Jaya Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, have undergone swab test for COVID-19. Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope on Sunday said that Aishwarya, 46, and her eight-year-old daughter Aaradhya had tested positive but are asymptomatic, while the screen icon's wife, veteran actor-MP Jaya Bachchan's diagnosis was "negative". "Aishwarya ji and Aaradhya have tested positive. They are asymptomatic. They can be quarantined at home or get admitted to hospital. This is family's decision completely," Tope told . "Jaya ji has tested negative. Swab test of the staff has been taken, the reports are awaited," he added. The minister had also shared Aishwarya and Aaradhya's diagnosis on Twitter, but soon deleted his tweet. A day after Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek revealed their diagnosis of COVID-19, the megastar's daughter-in-law Aishwarya (46) and granddaughter Aaradhya (8) also tested positive for the virus. Amitabh's wife, veteran actor-MP Jaya Bachchan, 71, has tested negative. In a series of tweets, Abhishek also said he and his father will "remain in hospital till the doctors decide otherwise". "Aishwarya and Aaradhya have also tested COVID-19 positive. They will be self quarantining at home. The BMC has been updated of their situation and are doing the needful. The rest of the family including my Mother have tested negative. Thank you all for your wishes and prayers," Abhishek, who is admitted to Nanavati Hospital along with his father, said. "My father and I remain in hospital till the doctors decide otherwise," he added. Amitabh and Abhishek revealed their diagnosis on Twitter on Saturday, saying they were in the isolation ward of the Nanavati Hospital. On Sunday, Amitabh's daughter-in-law, actor Aishwarya, 46, and her eight-year-old daughter Aaradhya also tested positive for the coronavirus. Amitabh's wife, veteran actor-MP Jaya Bachchan, 71, has tested negative. Taking to his blog, the 77-year-old screen icon said he was touched by the wishes coming the family's way for their speedy recovery. "My dearest extended family, your concern, your prayers and your wishes for Abhishek, Aishwarya, Aaradhya and me for a speedy recovery has filled me with unending gratitude. I thank you all," Amitabh wrote. The Bollywood veteran also said that though it won't be possible for him "to acknowledge and respond to all the prayers" towards the kin, he was grateful to the well wishers. "I put my hands together and say thank you for your eternal love and affection," Amitabh wrote on Twitter. Hours before his father's tweet, Abhishek confirmed Aishwarya and Aaradhya's diagnosis and said that they will be "self quarantining at home". The 44-year-old actor also said he and his father will "remain in hospital till the doctors decide otherwise". "Thank you all for your wishes and prayers," he added. Earlier in the day, Maharashtra's Health Minister Rajesh Tope told that it was "completely" the family's decision to quarantine Aishwarya and Aaradhya at home or get them admitted to the hospital. "Swab test of the staff has been taken, the reports are awaited," Tope added. They are stable," Ansari told . The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has declared four bungalows of the Bachchan family - Jalsa, Pratiksha, Janak and Vatsa - in Mumbai as containment zones and sealed them, a civic official said. Civic employees sanitised the bungalows on Sunday, the official said. Around 30 workers in these places were also screened for the coronavirus on Sunday, he added. A BMC team went to the bungalows for sanitising them and also for contact tracing, an official said. Security was also stepped up outside Bachchan's two bungalows in Juhu and outside the hospital, the police said.
