I used it for various tasks, such as watching videos, listening to music, playing games, and using popular messaging and social media apps like WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook. Even after using it extensively for over two weeks, I did not encounter any noticeable lags or slowdowns in my daily usage. The device handled everything effortlessly. It's worth mentioning that the phone did not have any significant heating issues, except when I used the camera app for an extended period of around 15-20 minutes. In that scenario, the phone did become slightly warm to the touch, but it was not a major concern. Gaming on the Realme 11 Pro+ was a pleasant experience as well. I played Asphalt 9 at the highest settings for over 30 minutes, and to my surprise, the phone remained cool without any noticeable heating. Additionally, there was only a minimal drop in the battery percentage, which is quite impressive. Even during longer gaming sessions, the phone maintained smooth performance without encountering any stutters. In terms of benchmarking scores, the Realme 11 Pro+ performed admirably. It achieved a single-core score of 926 and a multi-core score of 2214 on Geekbench 6. These scores indicate its solid performance, and I can confidently say that the phone delivers even better results in real-life usage. However, the Realme 11 Pro+ does have its drawbacks, and one of them lies in its software experience. The phone comes with Realme UI 4.0, which turned out to be quite disappointing. It comes loaded with bloatware, making the home screen feel cluttered and confusing. I was surprised to find a plethora of pre-installed apps that were unnecessary and unwanted. The issue didn't end there. Once I connected to the internet or enabled my data, I was bombarded with notifications from these unwanted apps. It became overwhelming, to say the least. The Game Center, for instance, continuously sent multiple notifications, and there was even a section called Hot Apps that Realme had neglected to remove. This section included apps like GB WhatsApp, which is a fake version of the popular messaging app, and even some explicit apps. This situation is concerning, particularly for users who are not tech-savvy and may unknowingly interact with these potentially harmful apps. Realme deserves credit for the excellent design of the phone, but they urgently need to address the bloatware issue. It hampers the overall user experience and puts them at a disadvantage compared to other smartphones in the same segment. In just three minutes of charging, it managed to replenish the battery by approximately 17 percent. As expected, the three smartphones launched are the S23, S23 Plus, and S23 Ultra. In addition, the company also launched four new laptops in its Galaxy Book3 range - The Galaxy Book3 360, Galaxy Book3 Pro, Galaxy Book3 360 Pro, and Galaxy Book3 Ultra. But we'll save the laptops for later and take a closer look at what the new phones offer this year. Samsung allowed us a brief time with the latest phones and also took us through what's new this time around. From the initial looks of it, the three phones come with incremental upgrades on the design front - they now use sustainable materials like recycled aluminum, recycled glass, and natural dye. Apart from the size and resolution, there needs to be a distinction in display specifications on paper. For those unaware, the S23 Ultra is the most spec-heavy and high-end variant, while the S23 and S23 Plus are slightly toned down like their predecessors. The Ultra also comes with a stylus at the bottom, which adds the Samsung Note utility to it and lets you make the most of that large-screen real estate. The S-Pen experience is as smooth as it has been in the last two generations. I have always loved Samsung's display tech on its flagship phones; unsurprisingly, it's the same on this one. They feature the same AMOLED 120Hz panel with 1750 Nits of brightness across. In addition, the Ultra has a QHD+, and the other two have an FHD+ resolution. The Galaxy S23 Ultra's display stretches at most parts of the front and has thin bezels. I do not have the exact measure of the bezels, but you can take a look at the pictures to get an idea of how immersive it is. It's crisp, very responsive, and ample bright. We had no complaints about the S22 Ultra's display; this is even better. Although I did not get to test the cameras in detail, we were allowed to use them for an hour inside a closed hall. So details on camera will follow up in our full review. The S23 Ulra now has a 200MP ISOCELL HP2 sensor for the primary camera. That explains that it can capture a huge amount of data and allow long-range hybrid zoom capability (optical + digital). In addition, Samsung emphasizes a new Super Quad Pixel tech that is said to make the autofocus speed 1.5X faster. While I couldn't test it next to the S22 Ultra, it did seem quite snappy during my hands-on experience. The major overhaul comes to the front camera. It now has HDR, dual-pixel autofocus, selfie videos FHD at 60fps, 16-bit RAW selfies, and 2X wider OIS for better stability and noise reduction. There are also some new modes - Astrophotography, Astro-Hyperlapse, and Multi-Exposure. You can now click photos of the stars and galaxies, but again, we couldn't get a chance to use this for now. Strangely, the astrophotography mode wasn't available in the camera app during my experience. The third lens is a 10MP telephoto with OIS and f2.4 aperture in non-Ultra phones, and Ultra has that too, but not just one but two with the second one with f4.9 aperture. A fair assessment is when the S23 and S23 Plus are used and tested away from Ultra's shadow. All three phones have impressive display panels and all the basic features like IP68 certification, snappy fingerprint reader, wireless charging, and more. The key areas where I want these to excel are performance, battery efficiency, and multitasking. Frontier may have 12GB RAM and 128/ 256GB storage with a 4500 mAh battery along with 125W fast charging and 30W to 50W wireless charging. Does a higher number of pixels make a difference in the performance? It’s a valid question that comes to mind for phones with a higher megapixel. A megapixel refers to one million pixels- small squares of information combines to form an image. Simply put, if the camera has a resolution of eight megapixels it will be able to capture images with eight million tiny squares of information per inch. The way megapixels are shown by smartphone brands in their ads can push some people to believe that a higher number of megapixels means you get the best photos. Sometimes it may be true, but in some cases, higher megapixels do not come close to the performance of smartphones with 12-megapixel cameras- iPhones and Pixel phones are good examples of that. Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra and Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max are the two phones with best camera performance. The Galaxy S22 sports 108 MP whereas Apple’s iPhone has a 12 MP camera. Taking, the performance of these two smartphones into consideration, we can say, megapixel doesn't play a major role in camera performance. While this hasn’t been confirmed yet, the company is reportedly changing the naming convention for its Galaxy S series and jumping from the S10 to S20 moniker. As per a <a href="https://twitter.com/UniverseIce/status/1211897344855363584">leak</a> from tipster Ice Universe, the Galaxy S20 series will include three devices – the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+ and the Galaxy S20 Ultra. The present Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10 Plus will be succeeded by the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+ and the Galaxy S20 Ultra respectively. <keyword id="8524560" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="samsung-galaxy-s20">Samsung Galaxy S20</keyword> series: Everything we know so far The Samsung Galaxy S20 series is expected to feature bigger displays with minimal bezels at the top and bottom. As per tipster <a href="https://twitter.com/evleaks">Evan Blass</a>, the Galaxy S20 will feature a 6.2-inch or 6.4-inch display, the Galaxy S20 Plus will feature a 6.7-inch display and the top-end Galaxy S20 Ultra will feature a massive 6.9-inch display. Another <a href="https://twitter.com/UniverseIce/status/1213781089593905152">leak</a> says that the upcoming Galaxy S20 series will feature class-leading 120Hz displays. This is twice the display rate of its Galaxy S10 series which sport a 60Hz refresh rate display.

 The company had missed out on high refresh rate displays with its current Galaxy series. Users will reportedly be able to toggle between 120Hz and 60Hz on the Galaxy S20 series. The upcoming series is also expected to improve its screen-to-body ratios by shrinking the front camera. It is expected to feature the new center punch-hole camera design. The new series will also be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset or the Exynos 990. To further boost performance, the Galaxy S20 series will be equipped with LPDDR5 smartphone memory, which is said to be 30% faster than its predecessor. Samsung’s recently announced 108-megapixel sensor codenamed ISOCELL Bright HM1 could be the primary camera of the new series. The sensor uses pixel binning technology that bins nine pixels to create one large 2.4μm pixel with a final image of 12-megapixel. Additionally, the device is expected to sport a 48-megapixel telephoto lens that is capable of 5x optical zoom, a 48-megapixel wide-angle lens and a ToF sensor. The Galaxy S20 series is expected to feature a supersized Qualcomm 3D Sonic Max fingerprint sensor which is 17-times bigger than the sensor used in the Galaxy S10 series. It can authenticate two fingers at once. Apart from this, other standard features may include up to 45W fast charging, fast wireless charging and IP68 water resistance. Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 may also be announced Samsung is also expected to announce the Galaxy Fold 2, the company’s latest foldable device with a clamshell design. The device, codenamed ‘Bloom’ is expected to feature a 6.7-inch foldable display and a 1-inch cover display. In 2019, trends like the pop-selfie camera or gaming smartphones didn’t really take off in the mainstream but did well within their niche audience. Other trends like gaming capacity smartphone chipsets, additional cameras and the megapixel war were appreciated by most. As of now, 5G capable phones are rare and expensive. Other 5G phones like the Huawei Mate 20 X, Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 5G and the Motorola Moto Z4 too have limited reach. 5G will mean faster network connectivity and lower latency for smartphone users. 2. Foldable phones Foldable phones aren’t far from being a reality with every brand working on their own prototype. In fact, Samsung’s already launched its <a href="https://www.businessinsider.in/the-samsung-galaxy-fold-has-a-new-release-date-heres-how-to-get-one/articleshow/71104621.cms">Galaxy Fold</a> and Huawei recently released the <a href="https://www.businessinsider.in/samsung-and-huawei-are-both-launching-foldable-smartphones-this-year-heres-how-they-compare/amp_articleshow/68159844.cms">Mate X</a>. Google and Apple will <a href="https://www.businessinsider.in/samsung-google-apple-rumours-galaxy-fold-screen-technology/articleshow/68263838.cms">reportedly</a> use Samsung’s foldable screen device to launch their own versions. India’s first foldable phone might be a Xiaomi device — the Mi Fold or the Mi Flex. The phone’s launch was expected this year, but the company is yet to announce any plans. 3. More cameras, more megapixels and more depth It’s the year of the cameras as smartphone brands hone in on the triple camera and quad camera design. The Samsung Galaxy Fold boasts of six cameras while Nokia has already launched their ‘pentacam’ PureView smartphone with five cameras. It’s not just the number of cameras that are increasing but also the megapixels that they can capture. Sony’s IMX 586 camera sensor was a boon allowing cameras to shoot up to 48 megapixels. Samsung’s ISOCELL GW1 sensor takes that same technology — the quad pixel array — forward to deliver a maximum output of 64 megapixels. Upcoming Xiaomi and Samsung smartphones will have the capability to shoot more than 100 megapixels. Another unique feature that we might see on phone’s more often is 3D depth sensors for cameras. “It uses the known speed of light to measure distance, effectively counting the amount of time it takes for a reflected beam of light to return to the camera sensor,” according to Samsung. The sensor is already available on Samsung Galaxy S10 5G. 4. More power and better graphics Smartphone users want more power on their phones. A few are even buying ‘gaming’ smartphones, even though they don’t game, for the additional processing capacity. Companies are also integrating Qualcomm’s ‘gaming’ chipset, the Snapdragon 855 Plus, into their flagship mobile phones. The OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro, Vivo Nex 3, Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro and Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro are some devices that aren’t necessarily marketing themselves as gaming smartphones but come equipped with the new chipset. More phones will employ more powerful chipsets and their accompanying GPU’s as games become more graphic intensive but they may not necessarily launch gaming smartphones. 5. Augmented reality and virtual reality (AR and VR) There’s already a lot being done to bring augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) technology to smartphones. Google’s Pixel 3A deployed some of ARCore’s technology — Google’s platform to build AR solutions — to bring users AR maps. It allows directions to pop up as a part of the scene being captured by the camera lens along with a distance countdown. Apple has plans to launch the AR-enabled ‘Apple Glasses’. The company has been heavily investing in ARKit to develop AR use cases for mobile devices and Apple’s Glasses would be positioned as an iPhone accessory. The technology is already available, the question is how creatively can developers apply it.
