<ul class="summary-list"><li>The <keyword id="6354868" type="COUNTRY" weightage="60" keywordseo="UK">UK</keyword> Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has rubber-stamped a trial for drones to ferry <keyword id="1754604" type="PERSON" weightage="60" keywordseo="coronavirus">coronavirus</keyword> <keyword id="49447" type="CITY" weightage="60" keywordseo="tests">tests</keyword> and personal protective equipment to a hospital on the <keyword id="4993346" type="PERSON" weightage="60" keywordseo="isle-of-mull">Isle of Mull</keyword>, off the coast of <keyword id="44181" type="COUNTRY" weightage="60" keywordseo="Scotland">Scotland</keyword>.</li><li>Skyports, the company running the trial, says if it's successful it will expand to using drones to bringing supplies to other remote parts of the UK.</li><li>The UK is already trialling drones elsewhere to deliver urgent medical equipment between different hospitals.</li></ul>Drones will be used to deliver coronavirus tests and personal protective equipment to a hospital an island off the West coast of Scotland.Drone company Skyports announced Tuesday it has started a <keyword id="2061285" type="PERSON" weightage="60" keywordseo="drone-delivery">drone delivery</keyword> trial for the NHS, ferrying supplies between a hospital on the Scottish mainland and one on the Isle of Mull.The journey is only ten miles but involves a ferry. According to Google Maps, the journey takes roughly an hour and 15 minutes, and the <a href="https://www.calmac.co.uk/article/2932/Mull-Oban---Craignure">ferry only goes three times per day</a>. Skyports says the drones can make the journey in 15 minutes and on-demand. <div type="image" title="Skyports" height="682" width="909" msid="76007816" hostid="261"></div>"As <keyword id="8763838" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="covid-19">COVID-19</keyword> testing rapidly gathers pace in the UK, the proposed delivery service will help to ensure that isolated communities have access to tests, delivered in a fast and efficient way," Skyports wrote in a <a href="https://skyports.net/2020/05/skyports-and-thales-partner-to-conduct-drone-delivery-trial-for-nhs-in-scotland-to-support-uk-covid-19-response/">statement</a>. Although Skyports is conducting the trial, the drones themselves were provided by drone tech company Wingcopter, and will be piloted using a drone management system built by aerospace company Thales.The trial will last for two weeks, and significantly will involve drone pilots flying the devices out of their line of sight — something which was previously banned by Britain's Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).According to its statement if the trial goes well Skyports plans to roll out the program more broadly in the UK.The UK <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/uk-drones-blood-medical-delivery-2020-4?r=US&amp;IR=TIR=T">has been conducting another drone trial</a> elsewhere in the country, ferrying personal protective equipment by drone from three hospitals in Hampshire, a county in southern England, to a hospital on the Isle of Wight, an island off England's south coast, and back again. "He gets really boring about it."So what is so special about her husband's cheese? And what does it say about Peter?"It's one of the more amazing cheddars out there," according to cheesemonger Steffen Kenney.Kenney, the owner of Stand Alone Cheese in Jackson Heights, New York, told Insider he sold a big chunk of Montgomery's cheddar to a representative for the show earlier this year.<div type="image" title="Steffen Kenney, owner of Stand Alone Cheese." height="2863" width="3024" msid="100713065" hostid="261" sizebytes="372026"></div>He described the clothbound cheese, made from raw cow's milk in England, as "earthy" and "nutty."There's "a lot more going on" in this cheese than in a typical American cheddar, he said.It's also a hard, sturdy cheese that could travel to Barbados easily, he said.Kenney is pretty sure the cheese featured on "Succession" was from his shop, though the team behind the HBO show could not confirm to Insider where they procured it before press time.According to Kenney, someone from nearby Astoria Studios reached out to him earlier this year looking for Isle of Mull, a Scottish cheddar that's hard to find in the US.Peter Munion is something of a mysterious figure in "Succession." In the few appearances he makes, he comes across as a starstruck social climber who is trying to get as close as possible to the Roy family's inner circle. Caroline calls him "awful" just before marrying him in season three.I was curious why Peter, who is played by English actor Pip Torrens, would have such an affinity for this particular cheese and what the cheddar might reveal about his character. Kenney surmised that perhaps Peter was "trying to impress Logan" with a Scottish cheddar.Unfortunately, Stand Alone didn't have that particular rare cheese in stock, so the team "settled" for Montgomery's, which is pretty similar, Kenney said.<div type="image" title="Montgomery's Cheddar" height="3024" width="4032" msid="100713066" hostid="261" sizebytes="438516"></div>The cheese isn't cheap at $32.99 per pound.Kenney would recommend pairing it with a beer or a cider — definitely not the frozen loaf ends that the Roy children are served by their mother."That cheese doesn't belong on a <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.insider.com/what-is-the-end-slice-of-bread-loaf-called-2018-12">knobby</a>," he said.
