According to Gupta, they have been launching three new features a day at the back-end, and a new release is happening every week. “For IPL, Josh will have a new release both on iOS and Android,” he said. While the company’s short video-streaming Josh is the new kid on the block, equal attention will be given to Dailyhunt as well. “You will see us advertising some pretty fun and wacky concepts. There’s a lot of work that we’re doing with brands around the IPL, so there’s a lot of ad momentum. You will also see a lot of creator engagement around the IPL, both from our in-house creators and influencers,” said Bedi. We spoke to Tata Motors that has been associating with IPL for the past three years. As IPL is nothing short of a festival for Indians, it is also expected to become a big sentiment booster, bringing in a positive ray of light in today’s scenario. However, this year things will be different. The matches will be played behind closed doors and without any audiences. While there was some initial reservation about how this changed format could impact advertising, as well as the overall experience, brands are pretty enthusiastic. “This IPL will be played behind closed doors and will not have any audience in the stadiums to begin with. Most people will watch the matches on TV from the comfort of their homes and on digital platforms. Hence, TV and digital will be our biggest bet. TV should help us with a wide reach amongst the audience and digital medium will help us in engaging with the customers by giving them an innovative and immersive experience,” shared Srivatsa. With no on-ground activations, will consumer engagement be challenging? Srivatsa didn’t seem to think so, considering the brand will still have a strong on-ground presence. “Apart from ensuring a strong on-ground presence during matches, we have also planned a lot of activities in the showrooms. Across India, Tata Motors showrooms will be decorated in the IPL theme. Our dealerships will be the place where customers can also soak in the IPL ambience. Additionally, we will also be organizing interesting contests for customers on social media platforms, which will be announced close to the start of IPL.”

IPL 2020: Here are Tata Motors’ marketing plans for the upcoming season

The initial stage of the tournament will likely be held in Oman and a venue in UAE soon after the remainder of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 ends in the country. Q) How was 2019 for brand Too Yumm? Can you share some growth figures? What are your targets for 2020, and how do you aim to achieve these numbers? 2019 has been a good year for us overall. New Delhi, Star India batsman <keyword id="13937" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Rohit-Sharma">Rohit Sharma</keyword> is set to take part in the upcoming four-match Test series against Australia after passing the <keyword id="6435154" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Fitness-Test">fitness test</keyword> at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru. It has been learnt that Sharma, who had injured his hamstring during <keyword id="1219822" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="The-Indian-Premier-League">the Indian Premier League</keyword> (IPL), cleared the fitness test on Friday and will be leaving for Australia over the weekend. However, an official statement on this regard is yet to come from <keyword id="1855486" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="The-Board-of-Control-for-Cricket">the Board of Control for Cricket</keyword> in India (BCCI). According to a report in ESPNcricinfo, the 32-year-old will take a charter flight from Mumbai to Dubai, from where he will fly to Sydney on December 13 and be available for selection for the last two Tests of the four-match series. Upon reaching Sydney, Sharma has to undergo a mandatory quarantine of 14 days in a facility separate from the bio-secure bubble in which the Indian Test squad is currently in, the report further stated. The BCCI had informed about the decision to add Sharma to the squad for the Australia Test series after initially excluding him from the tour due to the hamstring injury. "The BCCI Medical Team has been monitoring Rohit Sharma's fitness and has briefed All-India Senior Selection Committee on the same. In consultation with Sharma, it has been decided to rest him for the ODIs and T20Is in Australia to regain full fitness and he has been included in India's Test squad for <keyword id="10339645" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="the-border-gavaskar-trophy">the Border-Gavaskar Trophy</keyword>," the BCCI said in a release on November 9. India captain Virat Kohli, who himself will return to India after the first Test in order to be his wife for the birth of their first child, had said that there had been no clarity on the injury of Sharma. "Well, before we had the selection meeting with selectors in Dubai, we were told that he (Sharma) is injured and unavailable for selection and it mentioned a line that there is a two-week rest and rehab period (they had to undergo). It said that the pros and cons and implications of the injury have been explained to him and he understood that, and he was unavailable for selection and that is the information we got on mail before the selection meeting," Kohli had said before the start of the ODI series. "After that, he played the IPL so we all thought he will be on that flight to Australia which he wasn't on...we had no information on the reason why he is not traveling with us and after that, the only other information we received on mail is that he is in the NCA and he has been assessed," he added. The first Test of the four-match series starts at the Adelaide Oval from December 17.
