Apple has released <keyword id="12762629" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="ios-15-3" source="Orion">iOS 15.3</keyword> and iPadOS 15.3, the third major updates to the<a href="https://www.businessinsider.in/tech/news/ios-15-running-on-72-of-all-iphones-from-last-4-years/articleshow/88889566.cms" data-type="tilCustomLink"> iOS </a>as well as iPadOS 15 operating systems that were released in September 2021.<br /><br />The new update addresses a Safari security vulnerability, likely the fingerprinting bug that allowed websites to track your browsing history, reports Apple Insider.<br /><br />The iOS 15.3 and iPadOS 15.3 updates can be downloaded for free and the software is available on all eligible devices.<br /><br />Users can update their iPhone to iOS 15.3 and iPads to iPadOS 15.3 by heading to &gt;Settings &gt; &gt;General &gt; &gt;Software Update. The build number of the release is 19D50.<br /><br />In addition, Apple has also released macOS Monterey 12.2, the second major update to the macOS Monterey update that launched in October.<br /><br />macOS Monterey 12.2 comes over a month after the release of the 12.1 update, which brought SharePlay support.<br /><br />The macOS Monterey 12.2 update can be downloaded on all eligible Macs using the Software Update section of System Preferences.

Vision Pro to iOS 17: Apple’s top six announcements at WWDC 2023

iOS 14.4 to add warning on iPhones that replace the original camera with a third party camera

<p><a href="http://markets.businessinsider.com/stock/aapl-Quote">Apple stock price</a> dropped as investors digested all the announcements from WWDC 2017.</p><p>The Cupertino-based company announced a litany of new hardware and software products. A <a href="http://markets.businessinsider.com/news/stocks/apple-announces-ios-11-at-wwdc-new-features-2017-6-1002068152">new iPhone operating system</a> was one of the biggest announcements, but a <a href="http://markets.businessinsider.com/news/stocks/Apple-Unveils-New-IMac-Pro-1002068386">new pro-focused iMac</a> and a smart speaker dubbed the "<a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/apple-amazon-echo-homepod-2017-6">HomePod</a>" also drew lots of attention.</p><p><a href="http://markets.businessinsider.com/stock/aapl-Quote">Apple's shares ended the day lower</a> by 0.98% at $153.93. <ul class="summary-list"><li>The best US cities for high-paying entry-level jobs include Bozeman, Iowa, and Jackson. </li><li>The average salary for entry-level roles in the US is $40,153, according to Indeed data. </li></ul><p>Fresh graduates on the hunt for highly-paid jobs will find that Bozeman, Iowa, and Jackson offer some of the best rates, according to a new study. </p><p>Resume.io, a résumé building platform, <a href="https://resume.io/blog/the-best-cities-and-states-for-high-paying-entry-level-jobs" target="_blank" rel="noopener">published a study in June</a> of how many entry-level job listings had a salary above the median wage for all 50 US states and 223 major cities using data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics and job site Indeed.com. </p><p>Resume.io found that 87.8% of entry-level roles listed in Bozeman, Montana offered a salary above the state's median wage. </p><p>Around 87.7% of entry-level roles were above the average wage in Iowa City, Iowa; 84.8% in Jackson, Mississippi; and 83.1% in Kansas. California cities San Francisco and Oakland also boast above-average salaries in just over 77% of jobs.</p><p>Meanwhile, the cities that ranked worst for highly paid entry-level roles included Washington, DC at 26.4%; Honolulu, Hawaii at 36.4%, and Virginia Beach, Virginia at 38.6%. </p><p>The states that ranked highest for well-paid entry-level jobs were South Dakota, Montana, Idaho, and Iowa. </p><p>College graduates have high expectations for their first jobs and have their sights set on lucrative careers and opportunities. Many 2022 graduates believed they would be <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/2022-grads-think-they-will-earn-50000-more-than-average-2022-5?r=US&amp;IR=T">making $103,880</a>, according to Real Estate Witch data <a href="https://www.cnbc.com/2022/04/29/study-says-college-graduates-overestimate-starting-salaries-by-50000.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported by CNBC</a>. </p><p>They're in for a shock as entry-level jobs in the US pay $40,153 on average, according to<a href="https://www.indeed.com/career-advice/pay-salary/entry-level-salary#:~:text=The%20average%20salary%20for%20entry,locations%20and%20entry%2Dlevel%20positions." target="_blank" rel="noopener"> Indeed</a>.</p><p>Although California cities like tech hub San Francisco or Oakland seem like a safe bet for well-paid jobs, the <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/300000-salary-feels-like-100000-us-cities-new-york-honolulu-2023-4?r=US&amp;IR=T">high cost of living</a> is likely to eat into new graduates' salaries. </p>

Here are the best US cities for high-paying entry level jobs compared to the state average

<keyword id="2628697" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="billionaire-mukesh-ambani" source="Orion">Billionaire Mukesh Ambani</keyword>'s <keyword id="10926" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="reliance" source="Orion">Reliance</keyword> Industries Ltd climbed eight spots to the 45th rank, the highest for an Indian company on <keyword id="6373044" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="forbes" source="Orion">Forbes</keyword>' latest Global 2000 list of public companies worldwide. The Global 2000 ranks the largest companies in the world using four metrics: sales, profits, assets, and market value, Forbes said while releasing the 2023 ranking of the world's top 2,000 companies. <br /><br /> JPMorgan, America's biggest bank with USD 3.7 trillion in assets, is at the top of the list for the first time since 2011 and has emerged stronger from this spring's regional banking crisis, with more deposits and opportunistic acquisition of the failed First Republic Bank, it said. <br /><br /> <keyword id="6358963" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="warren-buffett" source="Orion">Warren Buffett</keyword>'s Berkshire Hathaway that topped the list last year, fell to the 338th position in the latest list due to unrealised losses in its investment portfolio. <br /><br /> Saudi oil behemoth Aramco is at 2nd position followed by three giant-sized state-owned Chinese banks. Technology giants Alphabet and Apple are at 7th and 10th place, respectively. <br /><br /> Oil-to-telecom conglomerate Reliance, with sales of USD 109.43 billion and profit of USD 8.3 billion, is the top most-ranked Indian firm at the 45th spot, climbing from the 53rd position it had held in last year's ranking. <br /><br /> Reliance was ranked ahead of well-known names like Germany's BMW Group, Switzerland's Nestle, China's Alibaba Group, US-based Procter &amp; Gamble and Japan's Sony. <br /><br /> State Bank of India climbed to 77th spot from 105th in the 2022 ranking. HDFC Bank is at 128th position (153 in 2022) and ICICI Bank is at 163 (204 in 2022). <br /><br /> Other Indian firms on the list include state-owned Oil and Natural Gas Corporation at 226 and HDFC (232). Reliance climbs 8 spots to 45th rank on Forbes' Global 2000 list

<ul class="summary-list"><li>Twitter is suspending Blue, Platformer's managing editor reported, citing an internal note.</li><li>After launching early this week, some verified accounts started impersonating famous people and companies.</li></ul><p>Twitter is suspending the rollout of its Twitter Blue subscription service as it seeks to "address impersonation issues," Zoë Schiffer, managing editor of tech newsletter Platformer, reported on Friday, <a href="https://twitter.com/ZoeSchiffer/status/1591081913166745601?s=20&amp;t=rLCDeix-8xGiaObBhcDkeQ">citing an internal note</a>.</p><p>The social media company launched its overhauled version of Twitter Blue earlier this week, offering anyone with a credit card willing to pay $8 the ability to receive a blue checkmark and a "verified" account. However, some verified users quickly <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/elon-musk-checkmark-system-created-wild-west-of-scamming-and-parody">started making accounts</a> impersonating celebrities and companies, leading to confusion and various attempts to troll others on the platform and spread misinformation.</p><p>"Twitter has suspended the launch of Twitter Blue and is actively trying to stop people from subscribing 'to help address impersonation issues," Schiffer tweeted.</p><blockquote class="twitter-tweet blockquote" data-lang="en" data-cards="" data-conversation="">—Zoë Schiffer  (@ZoeSchiffer) <a href="https://twitter.com/mims/statuses/1591081913166745601?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">November 11, 2022</a></blockquote><p>The internal note was shared on the company Slack, <a href="https://twitter.com/ZoeSchiffer/status/1591082807237185539?s=20&amp;t=11M2pffRpwlC5Tr6dHKfGA">Schiffer said</a>, and said, "An update on what we did tonight: hid the entry point to Twitter Blue, added the 'official' label for ONLY advertisers. Legacy Blue users can go to subscriptions and upgrade."</p><p>Schiffer reported that Twitter's note said existing subscribers will <a href="https://twitter.com/ZoeSchiffer/status/1591083056563392512?s=20&amp;t=11M2pffRpwlC5Tr6dHKfGA">still be able to access</a> Twitter Blue features, and that the <a href="https://twitter.com/ZoeSchiffer/status/1591084814157111296?s=20&amp;t=11M2pffRpwlC5Tr6dHKfGA">company disabled</a> the option to purchase Twitter Blue on iOS.</p><p>Early on Friday, Twitter users were saying the sign-up for Twitter Blue was <a href="https://twitter.com/search?q=twitter%20blue%20gone&amp;src=typed_query&amp;f=live">no longer available</a> on the iOS app. Users who still had the option to subscribe received an error message that said, "Thank you for your interest! Twitter Blue will be available in your country in the future. After Twitter Blue launched, Twitter <a href="https://twitter.com/TwitterSupport/status/1590967221769076736?s=20&amp;t=_p52HlxtOoQszTCofKDuZg">added "official" badges</a> to some accounts, before removing them.</p><p>Elon Musk said in a Twitter Space with advertisers on Wednesday that <a href="https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1590383366213611522">he "killed"</a> them <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/elon-musk-twitter-official-labels-aesthetic-nightmare-2022-11">because they were</a> an "aesthetic nightmare," and created a "two-class system." However, they're <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/twitter-official-badges-roll-out-elon-musk-2022-11?IR=C">appearing on some accounts</a> again.</p><p>Musk said in the Twitter Space that making users <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/elon-musk-said-charging-for-twitter-verification-might-be-dumb-2022-11">pay $8 for a blue checkmark</a> was "important" and "necessary" to deal with bots and trolls on the platform. President Joe Biden and other top leaders responded to the party's drubbing in Virginia <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/democrats-biden-economic-bills-virginia-election-losses-reconciliation-2021-11">by renewing efforts to pass trillions of dollars in new spending</a>, hoping that voters will reward them next November. But Democrats don't fully agree on why they struggled so much in Virginia, New Jersey, and parts of New York. And there is still disagreement over the party's massive social-spending plan.</p><ul><li><strong>Key quote: "We got majorities in both houses, so people want us to deliver," </strong>Sen. Tim Kaine of Virginia told Insider, urging his colleagues to pass Biden's economic agenda, which has stalled in two separate pieces of legislation: a nearly $1 trillion bipartisan infrastructure plan and a roughly $1.75 trillion package of social and climate initiatives.</li></ul><p><strong>Here's where things stand:</strong></p><p><strong>House Speaker Nancy Pelosi vowed swift passage: </strong>House Democrats began procedural steps toward passing the social-spending plan last night. Pelosi, who has long vowed to pass only a bill that could make it to Biden's desk, also moved to reinstate a four-week paid-family-leave proposal and a costly and controversial tax break that would overwhelmingly benefit higher-earning Americans.</p><ul><li><strong>Not everyone is on board: </strong>Sen. Joe Manchin, a key swing vote, has long expressed skepticism about including paid leave in the social-spending plan. <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/paid-family-medical-leave-back-in-democrats-social-soending-bill-2021-11">Pelosi's move essentially dares Manchin to block the popular provision, which still might get axed from the final bill</a>.</li></ul><p><strong>Democrats even disagree on why they are struggling: </strong>"<a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2021/11/03/us/politics/democrat-losses-2022.html">Nobody elected him to be F.D.R. - they elected him to be normal and stop the chaos</a>," Rep. Abigail Spanberger of Virginia told The New York Times of voters' apparent frustration with Biden. His approval rating has dropped nationally and cratered in places like Virginia in recent months.</p><ul><li><strong><a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/biden-unsure-if-passing-bills-could-have-changed-va-election-2021-11">Biden himself wasn't convinced</a> that passing his agenda would've stopped the bleeding: </strong>"I'm not sure that I would be able to have changed the number of very conservative folks who turned out in the red districts who were Trump voters," the president told reporters. Biden added that voters "want us to get things done," reiterating his call for lawmakers to pass both parts of his economic agenda.</li></ul><p><strong>Meanwhile, Republicans are salivating about 2022: </strong>House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy boldly predicted his party would flip more than 63 seats, the number Republicans reached during the 2010 tea-party wave. <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/5-reasons-why-democrats-should-be-worried-about-2022-2021-11">Democrats have (at least) five reasons to be worried about the midterms</a>.</p><hr /><p><strong style="color: #000000;">2. Fed plans to start reining in its economic aid this month: </strong>After deploying unprecedented economic support for 20 months, the Federal Reserve plans to start putting its tools back in the toolbox. SCOTUS appears ready to expand gun rights: </strong>Justices heard arguments about a New York gun-permit law in a major case whose outcome could dramatically expand Second Amendment rights. Republicans mount near-unanimous opposition to voting-rights bill: </strong>Sen. Lisa Murkowski of Alaska was the sole Republican senator who voted to advance to debate on the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, a major item of voting-rights legislation that would've restored some provisions of the Voting Rights Act of 1965 struck down by the Supreme Court. 10 Things in Politics: Dems scramble after Virginia

In 2015, average annual losses to companies worldwide from information-security incidents exceeded $7.7 million, according to a study by the Ponemon Institute.</p><p>And even as IT and security executives are struggling to keep their organizations safe from attack, new trends are emerging in hacking and cyber security.</p><p>According to the new "Cyber Risk Report 2016" by <a href="https://ssl.www8.hp.com/us/en/ssl/leadgen/secure_document.html?objid=4AA6-3786ENW&amp;siebelid=560016101&amp;sectionid=pdf&amp;returnurl=%2Fus%2Fen%2Fsecure%2Fpdf%2F4aa6-" target="_blank">HPE Security</a>, more than 80% of open-source and commercial applications have security feature vulnerabilities that can lead to serious consequences such as data breaches.</p><h2>1. Growth of collateral damages from security attacks.</h2><p>Recent data breaches have resulted in more than just the theft of personal data such as credit-card numbers; they have potentially affected some people's reputations by releasing damaging information and conversations, according to the HPE Security report.</p><p>For example, both the United States Office of Personnel Management and the Ashley Madison breaches affected people who never had direct contact with either organization, and whose information was stored in their networks only as it related to other people. The lesson for technology and security leaders is that data breaches are no longer just about stealing financial information, but about capturing information that can have a significant effect on people's lives.</p><h2>2. The rise of mobile malware.</h2><p>This is particularly true for Android malware. Attacks against mobile devices have become a big source of revenue for intruders, especially as more devices are connected through the Internet of Things.</p><p>Android threats, malware, and potentially unwanted applications continued to grow last year. There were more than 10,000 new threats discovered daily, for a total year-over-year increase of 153%. The top malware families are designed to obtain financial benefits for attackers by installing unwanted components, sending or stealing SMS messages, or stealing confidential information.</p><p>As for iOS, 2015 saw the first major compromise of applications uploaded to the App Store. This is a consequence of an attacker's modification of Apple's Xcode programming environment, which was shared among many developers in China, the report notes. This resulted in a malicious information-stealing component, known as XcodeGhost, being included with more than 4,000 apps published to the App Store by legitimate developers of IOS apps.</p><h2>3. So brands looking to build customer loyalty should consider one of the most popular marketing trends: mobile.</p><p>Mobile strategies may include push notifications about in-store sales and mobile payments to deeply personalized content. And delivering value involves combining a variety of technologies to create a unique experience and value proposition, says Sih Lee, Synchrony Financial's SVP of payments technology and innovation.</p><p>Here are five mobile strategies and technologies that can enhance any customer-loyalty program.</p><h3>1. Mobile-delivered services</h3><p>Some of the biggest brands in the world - such as Taco Bell, Chipotle, Starbucks, and Domino's - are experimenting with mobile-delivered services through apps. This points to improving the customer experience by making ordering easier. Chipotle is <a href="http://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20150901005026/en/Chipotle-Delivery-Partnership-Tapingo-Expands-Options-College" target="_blank">targeting the student market</a>, offering mobile delivery to busy college students on 40 campuses.</p><p>To integrate this offering with existing customer-loyalty programs, brands can experiment with promotions that leverage mobile devices.</p><h3>2. SMS alerts about discounts, events, and more</h3><p>Given that <a href="http://www.business2community.com/digital-marketing/sms-versus-email-marketing-0957139" target="_blank">98% of SMS messages are opened</a>, SMS alerts are a good way for brands to reach engaged customers and create or enhance loyalty programs. Pizza Hut recently had a campaign that asked repeat customers to <a href="http://www.tatango.com/blog/pizza-hut-launches-text-messaging-loyalty-program/" target="_blank">text the keyword "pizza" to join its loyalty program</a>, and that made registration quick and easy.</p><p>SMS alerts with geolocation capabilities and authentication can be used to inform the customer, and collect relevant data for the brand to drive spending behavior.</p><p>But it's crucial for brands to engage with customers who have opted in and <em>want </em>to receive the messages, and to ensure the content of the message is valuable and relevant. "Brands need to watch out for privacy sensitivity and excessive communication," says Lee. "The last thing you want is for customers to feel intruded on, which would discount the value of the messages."</p><h3>3. Mobile apps focused on rewarding loyal customers</h3><p>Everyone knows customers love to be rewarded for their loyalty. That's why more brands are creating customized mobile apps with perks specifically for frequent customers. Starbucks offers <a href="https://www.starbucks.com/card/rewards" target="_blank">Starbucks Rewards</a>, a mobile app that provides free drinks and food rewards, early access to new products, and easy payment options. The benefits of creating mobile apps with perks can include an uptick in members, word-of-mouth promotion, and an increase in sales. Starbucks has <a href="http://www.fastcompany.com/3041353/fast-feed/starbucks-mobile-app-payments-now-represent-16-of-all-starbucks-transactions" target="_blank">13 million customers</a> using the app.</p><p>"The value of a loyalty program is visibly more important when it's mobile because it's real-time," says Mamta Rodrigues, SVP of network and strategy relationships for Synchrony Financial. "It can feel as real as shopping."</p><h3>4. Mobile-app integration with the in-store experience</h3><p>Mobile technology such as Square has undoubtedly improved in-store experience. To build off of this trend, brands can use mobile apps to enhance the in-store shopping experience and make it more efficient and enjoyable for both first-time and regular customers. Brands can have mobile apps provide instant, detailed product information to empower customers while they browse, and even allow customers to make purchases in the aisle and skip the cash register.</p><p>Using mobile to enhance the in-store experience could improve customers' perception of the brand, too. <a href="http://digiday.com/brands/walgreens-uses-mobile-apps-solve-store-headaches/" target="_blank">Walgreens' app</a> allows customers to compare medications with in-store product searches, fill prescriptions with the click of a button, and even clip coupons - making their customers' lives easier. It's clearly useful, as the app consistently <a href="http://blog.appannie.com/app-annie-internet-retailer-index-2014/" target="_blank">ranks among the top 10 lifestyle apps</a> on iOS and Google Play.</p><p>"It comes down to ease of use in creating a frictionless experience," Rodrigues adds. "If it's easy for consumers to use, then they're going to use it again - and if it's not, then you've lost them."</p><h3>5. Mobile payments</h3><p>More brands are experimenting with mobile payments to make transactions easier and more secure, which encourages customers to shop more. Nordstrom experienced a <a href="https://www.sterlingpayment.com/news/industry-news/payment-processing-technologies/retailers-see-sales-increase-with-mobile-payment-processing/" target="_blank">15.3% increase in sales</a> since introducing a mobile-payment option.</p><blockquote class="pullquote float_right">Mobile payments are the future. "One to two years from now mobile will be perceived as a secure payment form factor by the masses. For millennials, ease of use in mobile payments will override the plastic swipe."</p><p>Another part of the mobile payments space is mobile origination, or giving customers the ability to apply for and receive instant approval on a credit card they apply for on a mobile device. "This process will eliminate plastic production and, more importantly, the wait time between applying, approving, and shopping," says Lee.</p><p>Additionally, peer-to-peer or peer-to-business transactions - the type of crowdfunding that enables people to invest money in a business with the expectation of getting it back, as well as some interest - will change the payments landscape as customers begin to feel more comfortable paying electronically. Whether it's by making payments easier or providing rewards through an app, mobile is a strategy that every brand should consider leveraging to grow customer loyalty.</p><p>"Mobile is a platform through which a truly life-enhancing experience can be created and delivered," Lee says.
