New Delhi, Feb 26 () GMR Infrastructure on Wednesday said it has received Rs 5,248 crore from Groupe ADP as part of a deal wherein the French major is buying 49 per cent stake in the domestic group's airport business. On February 21, it was announced that Groupe ADP would acquire 49 per cent stake in GMR Airports Ltd (GAL) for Rs 10,780 crore. In a filing to stock exchanges on Wednesday, GMR Infrastructure said the group has received Rs 5,248 crore towards first tranche of payment from Groupe ADP. "The end utilisation of monies has been mainly for corporate debt reduction. Further, GMR Group has provided exit to the existing private equity investors in GMR Airports Ltd," it added. The deal would help the group to reduce its debt burden. As per an investor presentation, a copy of which was filed to the stock exchanges, the deal would help in "significant deleveraging at GMR Infrastructure Ltd using the equity raise" as well as result in "improved cash-flow and profitability" Aeroports de Paris SA (ADP) would buy 100 per cent stake in GMR Infra Services Ltd and then 49 per cent shareholding in GAL. GMR Infra Services is an operating and holding company. Its primary business is to hold shares in GAL. Shares of GMR Infrastructure dropped 4.50 per cent to close at Rs 24.40 on the BSE on Wednesday. The announcement to invest Rs 1,100 crore by the promoters group in Anil Ambani's flagship company, Reliance Infrastructure, has further boosted the confidence of investors in the group's revival plans and its long-term growth story, investors said. Anil Ambani's twin strategy of <keyword id="21440133" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="debt-reduction" source="keywords">debt reduction</keyword>, coupled with fresh capital raising, has set the stage for a long-term transformation of the Reliance Group, they feel. Reliance Infrastructure's <keyword id="20000950" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="market-capitalisation" source="keywords">market capitalisation</keyword> by the end of this week surged nearly 50%, rising from Rs 8,500 crore to Rs 12,500 crore. Similarly, Reliance Power's market capitalisation increased over 25%, moving from Rs 11,500 crore to Rs 14,600 crore. Reliance Infra announced a significant reduction in standalone external debt, lowering it from Rs 3,831 crore to just Rs 475 crore. This was achieved by clearing outstanding dues to prominent lenders such as Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), Edelweiss ARC, ICICI Bank, and Union Bank, according to company filings. The move signals a robust financial recovery and enhances Reliance Infra's financial flexibility. Also, Reliance Infra board approved a preferential issue to raise Rs 3,014 crore, increasing the stake of Risee Infinity Pvt Ltd, a promoter group entity, along with other investors such as Florintree Innovation LLP and Fortune Financial &amp; Equities Services Pvt Ltd. The board also approved seeking shareholder authorization to raise an additional Rs 3,000 crore via a qualified institutional placement. This will provide further capital to strengthen the balance sheet and invest in new growth opportunities. With these fund infusions, Reliance Infra's net worth is set to rise from over Rs 9,000 crore to more than Rs 12,000 crore, according to the filings. The company is now well-positioned to invest in high-growth sectors, investors said.

Anil Ambani's Reliance Group starts transformation journey, achieves near zero-debt

A corpus of Rs 1 lakh crore will be established with 50-year interest free loans to encourage the private sector to scale up research and innovation in sunrise domains, Union Finance Minister <keyword id="19916618" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="nirmala-sitharaman" source="keywords">Nirmala Sitharaman</keyword> announced on Thursday. Presenting the interim Budget 2024-25, Sitharaman said this will be a golden era for India's tech savvy youth. "A corpus of Rs 1 lakh crore will be established with 50-year interest free loan. The corpus will provide long-term financing or refinancing with long tenures and low or nil interest rates," the minister said. "This will encourage the private sector to scale up research and innovation significantly in sunrise domains. We need to have programmes that combine the powers of our youth and technology," she added. EV stocks rally Shares of companies related to the electric vehicle segment jumped on Thursday after the announcement that the government will expand the electric vehicle ecosystem to support charging infra, and e-buses for public transport networks will be encouraged. The stock of Olectra Greentech jumped 6.21% to reach its 52-week high of Rs 1,849.25 on the BSE. JBM Auto climbed 4.96% to hit its one-year peak of Rs 2,010.80. Greaves Cotton went up by 3% to the day's high of Rs 168.55. The government will expand the electric vehicle ecosystem to support charging infra, and e-buses for public transport networks will be encouraged, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said on Thursday. Sitharaman, in her pre-election Budget, which is technically a vote on account and popularly termed an interim Budget, also said the blending of compressed biogas into compressed natural gas for transport and piped natural gas will be mandatory. Biomanufacturing and bio foundry scheme will be launched to provide environment-friendly alternatives for bio-degradable production, she added.

Coal India Four trade unions have served a one-day strike notice to the company and its arms on November 26; the company informed investors. Efforts would be made to avert the strike and conciliatory process is going on, it said, without giving out further details. New Delhi, Nov 25 () Shares of Kridhan Infra on Monday fell nearly 5 per cent to hit its lower price band after the company received an order to liquidate its Singapore subsidiary.
The stock fell 4.92 per cent to trade at Rs 4.25 apiece, its 52-week low, in in morning session on the BSE.
On the NSE, the scrip was 4.26 per cent down to its lower circuit at Rs 4.50.
Kridhan Infra last week said it has received the written order for liquidation of its Singapore subsidiary Readymade Steel Singapore Pte Ltd.
It was informed earlier in the outcome of the Board meeting held on November 14, 2019 that the judicial authorities in Singapore have heard the matter regarding liquidation of the subsidiary and the written order was pending, the company said in a regulatory filing on Friday.
"We now hereby inform that the written order for liquidation of the said subsidiary (Readymade Steel Singapore Pte Ltd) has since been received and Ng Kian Kiat and Lin Yueh Hung have been appointed as joint and several liquidators of the said subsidiary," it added. 
Further, as informed earlier, as a matter of prudence, the company has, in the results for March, 2019, already fully impaired its investments and loans outstanding in the said subsidiary Readymade Steel Singapore, in its standalone financials. In view of the same, there will be no major impact of the said liquidation on the financials of the company, it had said in the filing. RUJ

New Delhi, Mar 9 () RPP Infra Projects has bagged an order worth Rs 77.52 crore in Tamil Nadu, according to a regulatory filing by the company.The order pertains to 'rehabilitation and modernisation' of anicut and channels in Thanjavur and Cuddalore districts of Tamil Nadu and is expected to be completed within two years, it added. RPP Infra Projects bags Rs 78 cr order in Tamil Nadu

While announcing the <keyword id="6360189" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Union-Budget">Union Budget</keyword>, <keyword id="6355261" type="POSITION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Finance-minister">Finance Minister</keyword> <keyword id="42575" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Arun-Jaitley">Arun Jaitley</keyword>, announced a record allocation of Rs 3.96 lakh crore to infrastructure sector. As per the experts, rise in allocation to infra space will help cement and steel sector in coming years. 
 After the development, cement stocks such as ACC and Andhra Cement were trading higher by 0.80 % and 1.23%, respectively. Other stocks like <keyword id="134115" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Heidelberg-Cement">Heidelberg Cement</keyword> and JK Lakshmi Cement were also up by 1.06 % and 0.51%, respectively. 
 
However, the BSE Metal index was trading 0.56 % down at 3054.75 and metal and mining stocks such as Moil, Orissa Mine, NMDC, Sail, Coal India and Apollo Tyres were trading higher by 0.60%, 0.91%, 0.56%, 0.47%, 0.44 %and 0.32%, respectively. 
 The <keyword id="4126676" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="bse-india-infrastructure">BSE India Infrastructure</keyword> index was jumped as much as 0.6 % after the announcement.
