"A meeting of the Board of Directors of the company is scheduled to be held on Thursday, September 5, 2024, to consider and recommend to the shareholders for their approval, issue of bonus shares in the ratio of 1:1 to the equity shareholders of the company by capitalisation of reserves," the firm said in the stock exchange filing. The stock of Reliance Power dropped 4.99 per cent to hit the lower circuit limit of Rs 32.73 on the BSE. Shares of Reliance Home Finance Ltd tumbled 4.93 per cent to Rs 4.24 -- the lowest trading permissible limit for the day. Reliance Communications dived 4.92 per cent to touch the lower circuit of Rs 2.32. Reliance Infrastructure also declined 2.90 per cent to Rs 205.55. Shares of Reliance Infrastructure, Reliance Home Finance and Reliance Power had slumped on Friday also. Sebi has imposed a penalty of Rs 25 crore on Ambani and restrained him from serving as a director or Key Managerial Personnel (KMP) in any listed company or Sebi-registered entity for five years. Besides, a fine ranging Rs 21 crore to Rs 25 crore has been levied on 24 entities. Also, the regulator barred Reliance Home Finance from the securities market for six months and slapped a fine of Rs 6 lakh on it. After receiving multiple complaints alleging the diversion/siphoning of funds of Reliance Home Finance Ltd, Sebi conducted an investigation for the period of FY 2018-19 to ascertain any regulatory violations. In its probe, Sebi found that <keyword id="19902194" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Anil-Ambani" source="keywords">Anil Ambani</keyword>, with the help of RHFL's KMPs -- Amit Bapna, Ravindra Sudhalkar and Pinkesh R Shah -- have orchestrated a fraudulent scheme to "siphon off" funds from RHFL by disguising them as loans to entities linked to him. Although the board of directors of RHFL had issued strong directives to stop such lending practices and review corporate loans regularly, the company's management ignored these orders. Sebi, in its 222-page order on Thursday, noted the cavalier approach by the company's management and promoter in approving loans worth hundreds of crores to companies that had little to no assets, cash flow, net worth, or revenue. This suggests a sinister objective behind the 'loans'. The situation becomes even more suspicious when considering that many of these borrowers were closely linked to the promoters of RHFL. Eventually, most of these borrowers failed to repay their loans, causing RHFL to default on its own debt obligations. This led to the company's resolution under the RBI Framework, leaving its public shareholders in a difficult position.

It literally is the luxury item of the CEO," Mische said.Unlike accounting or legal services, consultants are not a must-have, and they are quick to go when CEO sentiment is down or economic outlooks are uncertain. But Mische said Trump's election will likely boost CEO sentiment, noting that <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/how-to-invest-trump-win-election-stock-market-outlook-strategy-2024-11">the stock market reacted</a> positively to Trump's win.Trump's proposal to cut the corporate tax rate could leave more money for companies to put toward discretionary spending like consultants. Both requested anonymity to avoid jeopardizing their careers but their employment was confirmed by Business Insider.One consultant who works at Deloitte said there would likely be a shift from federal to state-level work. "The prediction for more state government contracts comes across some of the policy ideas we've heard from the Trump administration; if there's certain federal social services that change or end, states have a lot of work to do to implement those changes but also address gaps it creates for the respective citizens of the state," they wrote.They added that Deloitte's leadership predicts a hiring surge next year to support staffing changes across agencies, new grant work, and implementing policy decisions Trump makes in his first year as president.Deloitte did not respond to Business Insider's request for comment.<h2 id="c6c80825-8c85-4b55-8f64-35597771189a">Three phases of preparing for Trump 2.0</h2>Mische said he expects three phases in how consulting firms respond to the new presidency. First, they'll need more confidence about what they think will happen in 2025. Next, they'll need to work through the backlog of extended but deferred job offers to see who is still interested in working for the firm. And once they have clarity in those regards, firms can start amping up their recruiting efforts.He expects much demand in the energy sectors, from fossil fuels to renewables, and an increased focus on more efficient government spending.The federal government spends billions annually on consulting services, and he said there may be increased demand from agencies Trump has suggested making major changes to, including the Department of Education, the Justice Department, and the Department of Defense.

Before this, Indian markets faced such a situation during the pandemic, when FPIs withdrew Rs 61,973 crore from equities in March 2020. <h2>Why Are Investors Leaving? </h2>According to Himanshu Srivastava of Morningstar Investment Research India, two main factors are driving this exodus. First is China's renewed appeal due to lower stock valuations and new economic stimulus measures. In a bid to nudge the domestic economy and bail state governments, China recently approved a 10-trillion yuan (US $1.4 trillion) package. Per reports, approximately 60% of this stimulus focuses on allowing local governments to refinance the mountain of debt on them. Srivastava explains foreign investors are also flocking to US dollar and Treasury yields, which have appreciated significantly in the recent past, leading FPIs to anticipate a stronger US economy going ahead. Moreover, high valuations in Indian markets are discouraging foreign investors from putting more money in the economy. As a result, over the past week, the selling pressure eroded Rs 74,563 crore in market value for Reliance Industries, while Bharti Airtel and ICICI Bank lost Rs 26,274 crore and Rs 22,254 crore, respectively. The combined market valuation of six of the top 10 most-valued firms dipped by Rs 1,55,721.12 crore last week. <h2> Silver linings</h2>Despite the ongoing outflux of funds since last month, November also saw unprecedented applications of about 40–50 new FPI registrations, which are eyeing to enter the Indian market. <ul class="summary-list"><li>Bank of America upgraded Johnson Controls to 'Buy' for its exposure to AI data centers.</li><li>Johnson Controls is a top provider of thermal cooling equipment and other data center solutions.</li></ul><a target="_blank" class="" href="https://markets.businessinsider.com/stocks/jci-stock">Johnson Controls</a> is the stock to buy for safe exposure to the AI boom, according to a note this week from <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://markets.businessinsider.com/stocks/bac-stock">Bank of America.</a>The bank upgraded shares of Johnson Controls to "Buy" from "Neutral" and increased its price target to $80 from $76, representing potential upside of about 15% from where the stock was trading on Thursday. The bank said the industrial company that sells everything from security cameras to HVAC systems offs investors exposure to "best-in-class data center assets.""We find that JCI is the second-largest provider of thermal equipment (~15% market share), with leading market share in chillers. JCI also sells building automation systems, security, and fire protection equipment into data centers," Bank of America analyst Andrew Obin said.Johnson Controls will generate about $4 billion in revenue from data centers this year, representing about 14% of its business. That is more than triple the data center exposure its closest competitors have, including <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://markets.businessinsider.com/stocks/tt-stock">Trane Technologies</a> and <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://markets.businessinsider.com/stocks/carr-stock">Carrier.</a>One of Johnson Controls' best-selling products to datacenters is liquid-cooling systems, which help distribute and offset <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/ai-data-centers-us-power-grid-gpu-nvidia-cerebras-amazon-2024-7">the immense heat generated by AI-focused servers.</a>"One megawatt of power supplied to a data center requires approximately 285 tons of cooling, similar to the requirements for a 115,000 square foot commercial building," Obin explained.And that's where Johnson Control's water-cooled centrifugal chiller and computer room air handling products come into play.As for a potential catalyst for Johnson Controls, aside from its data center exposure, Bank of America highlighted its ongoing search for a new CEO."We expect a new CEO announcement before the end of the year and view this as a positive catalyst. Combined with activist investor involvement, we believe this potentially signals a new strategic direction for the company," Obin said.Finally, Johnson Controls offers investors an appealing margin of safety relative to other AI stocks that have been high-fliers over the past year.That's because Johnson Controls stock is trading at a significant valuation discount relative to its closest competitors. Its forward price-to-earnings ratio of 18x is even lower than the broader S&amp;P 500's valuation of about 21x."JCI hypothetically re-rating fully in line with the average of these HVAC peers would imply a 57% higher valuation," Obin said.Shares of Johnson Controls have been on a tear this year as investors wake up to its AI data center exposure, with the stock up up 22% year-to-date.

Microsoft said it expects the current quarter's revenue to come in between $68.1 billion and $69.1 billion, while analysts polled by FactSet had expected $69.89 billion. The company attributed the slowdown partially to its investment in cloud computing capacity for AI demand.Microsoft's stock fell 6% to close at $406.35. Meta, meanwhile, said it expects a ramp up in capital expenditures in the next year as it continues to spend on AI, and raised its capex forecast for this year to a range of $38 billion to $40 billion, from $37 billion to $40 billion.Analysts from UBS, though, remain positive that the increased spend will deliver."While Meta continues to signal a significant increase in CapEx for 2025, the results also highlighted multiple offsets to illustrate what the investments will start to bring - as we have been calling out previously, the easiest item to observe is the absolute step up in revenue dollar growth in 2024 which stands at ~$28B currently and nearly matching the Pandemic-driven acceleration from 2021 of ~$29B," the analysts wrote in a Thursday note.Meta's shares lost 4% to close at %567.68. Also on Thursday, investors digested the Federal Reserve's preferred inflation gauge. The personal consumption expenditures index cooled to 2.1% year over year in September from 2.2% in August, but the core index—which excludes volatile food and energy prices—came in higher than forecasts at 2.7%.Jobless claims, meanwhile, fell by more than expected to 216,000 last week, a fall of 12,000 from the week prior.
