When <keyword id="866434" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Indian-Post-Office">Indian Post office</keyword> announced that they will soon deploy their own ATMs across the country, it gave their customers hope that they no longer would have to stand in serpentine queues to take out their cash kept in Post Office. CMS Info system has signed a deal with the <keyword id="281610" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="department-of-post">Department of Post</keyword> to personalize over 15 million debit cards for India Post savings account holders. 
 The deal, valued at Rs 30 crores, is estimated to be completed in the next three years. The Department of Post (<keyword id="23226" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="DOP">DOP</keyword>) presently covers a base of approximately 100 million account holders in India, and is in the midst of a phased deployment of ATMs across the country, to better service their customers. To facilitate production of personalized debit cards that can be used at these ATMs, <keyword id="194502" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="CMS-Info-Systems">CMS Info Systems</keyword> has been selected by the DOP to supply Rupay enabled cards. 
 Commenting on the deal, Mokam Singh Matta, Head of Card Business, said “Our latest deal with DOP <keyword id="29478" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Will-Power">will power</keyword> issuance of personalized cards to complement their ATM deployment plans over a three-year period. New Delhi [India], September 18 (ANI): The five-day special session of Parliament is all set to begin on Monday during which the parliamentary proceedings will shift from the old to the adjacent new state-of-the-art building on September 19. Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs <keyword id="221548" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="pralhad-joshi" source="Orion">Pralhad Joshi</keyword> on Sunday stated that the Session will provide 5 sittings spread over a period of 5 days, besides informing that eight legislative items are likely to be taken up during this session. "Parliamentary journey of 75 years starting from Samvidhan Sabha - achievements, experiences, memories and learnings" will also be discussed. On Sunday, Vice President <keyword id="7889551" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="jagdeep-dhankhar" source="Orion">Jagdeep Dhankhar</keyword> hoisted the national flag atop "Gaja Dwar" of the new Parliament building. <keyword id="6355187" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="lok-sabha" source="Orion">Lok Sabha</keyword> Speaker Om Birla was also present on the occasion. Four civilians were on Saturday injured when Pakistani troops violated the ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Rampur sector of Jammu and Kashmir, according to an Army spokesperson. "On 20 June, 2020, in the morning hours, Pakistan initiated an unprovoked ceasefire violation along the LoC in Rampur sector by firing mortars and other weapons," the spokesperson said. He said four civilians were injured in the Pakistani firing. In another ceasefire violation, Pakistani troops fired mortars and other weapons on Indian posts in Uri sector on Saturday afternoon, the spokesperson said. He said there are no reports of any casualty in the incident. The Army has given a befitting response to the Pakistani aggression in both the sectors, he said. Pakistan ceasefire violation in Jammu and Kashmir leaves four civilians injured

In comparison to India’s largest fast moving consumer goods company, Hindustan Unilever (HUL), KVIC’s sales stood at ₹75,000 crore — twice that of HUL’s at ₹38,000 crore. A large part of this explosive growth has come from khadi or handmade products, which grew at their fastest rate ever in the last four years. Khadi in vogue KVIC’s growth in sales is largely due to a rise in demand for khadi products — like papad, honey and cosmetics. Together they accounted for 4.3% of all sales. And, then there’s khadi itself. KVIC is not only selling it in stores but also <a href="https://www.financialexpress.com/industry/spinning-on-khadi-weaves-a-success-story-rs-3200-crore-sales-in-fy19/1527425/">supplying</a> to bigwig fabric companies like Raymond, Arvind Mills and Aditya Birla Fashion. They’re also tying up with state-owned companies — like ONGC, Oil India and even the Indian Post Office — to give out gift coupons to employees, and use khadi for uniforms. Not to mention that khadi is reportedly ‘chic’ fashion in the current era in part due to its comfort. <ul><li><keyword id="13126" type="LOCATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Maharashtra">Maharashtra</keyword>, <keyword id="6354780" type="LOCATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Karnataka">Karnataka</keyword> and <keyword id="20154" type="LOCATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="tamil-nadu">Tamil Nadu</keyword> accounted for 40% of <keyword id="3658" type="COUNTRY" weightage="20" keywordseo="India">India</keyword>’s <keyword id="702343" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="retail-loans">retail loans</keyword> at the end of the April-June quarter, according to a report by TransUnion CIBIL. </li><li>Maharashtra, which is India’s richest state by GDP, alone accounts for more than 20% of all retail balances, with ₹5.5 trillion in outstanding retail loans. </li><li>Between June 2017 and June 2018, aggregate retail loans rose by 27% owing to the strong demand for <keyword id="6354680" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="credit">credit</keyword> cards and personal loans. </li></ul>As credit cards have become more popular and Indian <keyword id="6368751" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="banks">banks</keyword> have increasingly relied on retail loans to supplement a slowdown in lending to the corporate sector in recent years, Indian households have been taking on <a href="https://www.businessinsider.in/indian-households-are-racking-up-debt-at-an-unprecedented-pace/articleshow/65855280.cms">a lot more credit.</a> And now, a report from TransUnion CIBIL, a credit scoring agency, shows where all that credit is concentrated. Just three Indian states - Maharashtra, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu - accounted for 40% of all of the country’s retail loans at the end of the April-June quarter, despite representing a fifth of India’s population. Maharashtra, which is India’s richest state by GDP, alone accounts for more than 20% of all retail balances, with ₹5.5 trillion in outstanding retail loans. Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka account for ₹2.78 trillion and ₹2.75 trillion worth of retail balances, respectively. These findings indicate the relative lack of aversion to credit in urbanised parts of the country. However, retail loans in Tier-III towns and villages around India are set to increase as banks, especially public-sector banks, focus on rural penetration and payment banks, such as the one run by the Indian Post, expand operations. Additionally, with the advent of credit scoring agencies, banks will only become more confident about lending to people outside large cities. In accordance with recent data from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), the report also noted a significant increase in retail loans in the past year. Between June 2017 and June 2018, aggregate retail loans rose by 27% to ₹28 trillion. Credit cards and personal loans, in particular, were the fastest-growing retail segments, with balances in both growing at over 40% from last year. This growth in retail loans was largely complemented by a stable level of delinquency rates. However, at 3% year-on-year, default rates were relatively high in the property lending segment. This was offset by a reduction in defaults on automobile loans and personal loans. Finally, the report noted that India’s retail lending market crossed a significant threshold in the April-June quarter. The total amount of active retail borrowers cross 100 million for the first time over the period, boosted by a 30% rise in loans to new borrowers.

<a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Pakistan+troops">Pakistani troops</a> resorted to <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=ceasefire+violation">ceasefire violation</a> twice overnight and targeted Indian posts and civilian areas by shelling 120 mm mortar bombs along the <keyword id="44759" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Line-of-Control">Line of Control</keyword> in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district. 
 
The <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=indian+army">Indian army</a> also retaliated to the shelling. 
 
"Pakistan troops fired from small arms, mortar bombs of 120 mm and 61 mm range on forward posts along the LoC in Sabzian and Balakote sectors in Poonch district overnight,” a defence spokesman informed. 
 
Pakistani troops fired from automatic weapons in Sabzian sector and Balakote sector till this morning. 
 
The spokesman said that the troops effectively retaliated and informed there was no loss of life or injury to anyone in the firing. 
 
As per reports, there have been 21 ceasefire violations along the <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=India-Pakistan+border">India-Pakistan border</a> in Jammu region this month. 
 
On August 11, the Pakistan Army had resorted to unprovoked firing twice across the LoC in Krishna Ghati Sector of Poonch district and Bhimbhergali sector in Rajouri district on August 10 night. 
 
Last month, there were 19 ceasefire violations in which four persons, including three jawans, were killed and 14 others injured. 
 
This month in August, Pakistani troops targeted forward Indian posts along the LoC in Hamirpur-Balakote, Hamirpur, Krishnagati and Sabzian sectors, possibly to facilitate <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=infiltration">infiltration</a> from across the border. 
 
An army jawan was also injured as Pakistani troops opened fire at villages and forward posts in Poonch district along the LoC on August 7.

The <keyword id="75223" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Indian-Penal-Code">Indian Penal Code</keyword>, 1860 (Section 497): Under this law, a married man can ‘legally’ have sex with an unmarried girl, a divorcee or a widow. It will not be treated as adultery. 
 
If you wish to have sex with a married woman, you need to have her husband’s prior approval! The law states, “Whoever has sexual intercourse with a person who is and whom he knows or has reason to believe to be the wife of another man, without the consent or connivance of that man, such sexual intercourse not amounting to the offence of rape, is guilty of the offence of adultery, and shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to five years, or with fine, or with both.”

Indian <keyword id="1327581" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Treasure-Trove-Act">Treasure Trove Act</keyword>, 1878: Did you know that you can be jailed if you, by chance, find anything that is worth more than Rs 10 and you do not report it to a revenue officer? The innkeeper is also required “to thoroughly cleanse the rooms and verandahs, and drains of the sarai (hotel), and the wells, tanks, or other sources from, which water is obtained for the persons or animals using it, to the satisfaction of, and so often as shall be required by, the Magistrate of the District, or such person as he shall appoint in this behalf.” 
 
Moreover, he must “remove all noxious vegetation on or near the sarai (hotel), and all trees and branches of trees capable of affording to thieves means of entering or leaving the sarai.”
