In 2019, 13 recruitment camps have been set up as of date and 80 are in the pipeline.</li></ul>Looks like, the Indian Army is facing resource crunch even in a country where unemployment is high. Over 45,000 posts are lying vacant in the Army, the Defence Minister <keyword id="6355121" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Rajnath-Singh">Rajnath Singh</keyword> informed the Parliament on June 24. Of this, as many as 7,399 posts are for the commissioned ranks, as per data from January 2019, <a href="http://pib.nic.in/PressReleseDetail.aspx?PRID=1575742">according to PIB press release</a>. “Various reasons including accretions of posts from time to time, tough selection procedures, difficult service conditions coupled with perceived high risk involved in the services career and limitation in number that can be trained are responsible for the situation,” the minister said responding to a question by Shri Rakesh Sinhain of the Upper House, Rajya Sabha. The Army has conducted over 200 recruitment camps across the country, in the last three years. In 2019, 13 recruitment camps have been set up as of date and 80 are in the pipeline. “Recruitment in the army is a continuous process and vacancies are filled without compromising the quality of training,” <a href="http://pib.nic.in/PressReleseDetail.aspx?PRID=1575742">Rajnath Singh said</a>. To fill these posts and attract the right kind of candidates, the Defence ministry has also been spending on publicity to inspire youth to join the forces. In 2016-17, the ministry spent ₹37.887 million for publicity, whereas in 2017-18 is dipped down to ₹19.947 million. The publicity expenditure for 2018-19 was ₹21.619 million.

They also submitted memorandums addressed to the President of India via the Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs) and Deputy Commissioners (DCs) of their areas. “It is surprising that the government did not follow any minimum procedure before announcing such far-reaching changes. No pilot exercise of the new recruitment process was done anywhere. The memorandum also said that no consultations were held with stakeholders like army aspirants, serving jawans and officers, public representatives – all those who will be affected by the scheme. Several students, civil society organizations and members of trade unions also joined the protest. “A nationwide protest against the Agnipath scheme was observed by farmers’ bodies on Friday. Peaceful demonstrations were held and memorandums submitted at the district and block headquarters. Agnipath protests simmer down, 94,000 applications received in 4 days

<ul><li>The Indian army has started an online registration for recruiting <keyword id="7127917" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="women-in-military-police">women in military police</keyword> as soldiers. </li><li>The recruitment drive will fill nearly 100 vacancies. </li><li>The women candidates need to qualify a Common Entrance Exam (CEE) post which they will have to appear for the Physical Endurance Test(PET).</li></ul>While Indian women are already making strides in the Air Force, flying fighter jets and as officers in the Navy, the Indian army has started an online registration for recruiting women in military police as soldiers, aiming to fill nearly100 vacancies. Once the registration of candidates is over, a cut off list will be generated for further rounds of selection, according to the official notification. So far the Indian army recruited women only as officers and not as soldiers, making this move significant. The Indian army has put it out on its official website (joinindianarmy.nic.in.) notifying openings for the post of Soldier General Duty. The application process starts today, and will end on 8 June, 2019. In order to qualify for the post, the women candidates need to qualify a Common Entrance Exam post which they will have to appear for the Physical Endurance Test(PET). Central Bank of India is hiring for 115 vacancies across various domains

<ul><li>As many as 6,000 teaching posts are vacant in India’s top engineering colleges — IITs and NITs. </li><li>There are 2,813 job vacancies in IITs, while 3,211 in NIT campuses across the country. </li><li>NIT campuses have 4,346 non- teaching job vacancies.</li></ul>India’s elite engineering institutions including Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) and National Institute of Technology (NITs) are facing a shortage of teaching staff, the Human Resource Development (HRD) Ministry revealed earlier this week. As many as <a href="https://www.hindustantimes.com/education/over-2-800-faculty-positions-lying-vacant-at-iits-3-211-at-nits/story-V9zIJkXLHBaxpw5gwP1vfI.html">6,000 teaching posts</a> — 2,813 in the IITs and 3,211 in NITs — have been vacant across locations. Since, the institutions are autonomous bodies, the government has asked to run special recruitment drives to hire for these positions. Despite nearly 8,856 positions allocated to <keyword id="148561" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Teaching-jobs">teaching jobs</keyword> in the 23 centres of Indian IITs, only 6,043 vacancies have been filled across the country. Over 2,800 posts have been vacant — including the jobs allocated for the reserved categories, Union Cabinet Minister <keyword id="60487" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Ramesh-Pokhriyal">Ramesh Pokhriyal</keyword> told IANS. Of the 2,813 teaching vacancies, 170 were reserved for Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST). For NIT campuses, the institute sanctioned 7,413 faculty positions, of which, 3,211 haven't been filled yet. The remaining 4,202 teachers include 543 people employed from the reserved category, the Minister noted. In fact, the institute has a dearth of non-teaching staff as well. According to the HRD Ministry, vacancies for jobs like administrative positions have not filled either. Of the 8,163 of these positions, 4,346 positions are vacant. "I heard a sound and next blood started oozing from my left eye.
