It comes with the Dell logo at the back, with the rest of the back being empty. It features a sturdy hinge that allows you to comfortably convert it from a laptop to a tablet and vice versa, without worrying too much. The company says that this is the most compact business laptop in the market and it’s true. The weight is slightly on the higher side but that has been done to make it durable and sturdy. The metal edges and soft-touch matte finish give it a premium look and it feels good when you hold it. One of my gripes about a lot of laptops is that they are difficult to open with on hand. Opening the Dell Latitude 9450 may be an issue sometimes as you may not find anything on the lid to hold onto. Unlike Apple’s MacBook which can be opened easily with a single hand, I often had to use both hands to open the laptop. Once you open the laptop, you appreciate the design even more. The keyboard offers a smooth and velvety feel. The palm rest is also very soft and feels very comfortable to use. While an OLED panel would have offered improved contrast and better blacks, the IPS panel on the Latitude 9450 performs well. The new chipset from Intel is equipped with a dedicated neural processor unit that is aimed at performing AI tasks with ease. The laptop can handle machine learning and AI workloads without breaking a sweat. As the device is packed with powerful hardware, I had no issues with performance. The laptop easily handles everything that you throw at it without any issues and multi-tasking is a breeze. E-commerce sales expected to reach ₹1.2 lakh crore this festive season

The company recently rolled out the<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5wRaJniBnwc%5d"> Move OS 3</a> update, introducing several new features and bringing hyper charging support to its scooters. The Move OS 3 is the company’s latest software update to the operating system that powers the company’s electric scooters. It comes with several new features and improvements, including crucial ones like support for Ola’s hyper charger network, multiple profiles, Bluetooth calling, sound customizations which the company calls ‘Moods’, and more. I have been using the Ola S1 Pro with the latest Move OS 3 for a few weeks now and here is my review of the newly introduced features. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Hypercharge support" comment="subhead" text="Hypercharge support">Hypercharge support</cmsannotation> One of the highlights of the Move OS 3 update is the introduction of hypercharging. Ola has installed hyperchargers at its experience centers and two scooters can be charged at once. <div type="image" title="Hypercharging" msid="97806550" hostid="261" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;Move OS 3 has introduced hypercharging support&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div> The company has claimed that a 15-minute charge at its hypercharger can give the scooter a 50 km of range. We tested the hypercharger in Hyderabad and found that the charging is close to the company's claims. We did notice that the charging gets a little slower as the battery crosses 70%. The introduction of hyperchargers is a good move as it helps in reducing range anxiety, and you don’t have to worry about running out of juice. The company currently has over 200 experience centers across the country, a lot of which have hyperchargers installed. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Moods" comment="subhead" text="Moods">Moods</cmsannotation> <div type="image" title="Eclipse" msid="97806573" hostid="261" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;The original Eclipse theme&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div> Ola has added themes to it, which the company has dubbed “Moods.” The original theme has been named “Eclipse.” <div type="image" title="IMG_20230208_192121" msid="97806586" hostid="261" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;The retro Vintage theme&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div> In addition to this, the company now offers “Bolt”, which has a modern and futuristic look to it, and “Vintage”, which as the name suggests gives it a retro look. All three themes have their own signature sound and dark and light modes. <div type="image" title="Eclipse" msid="97806605" hostid="261" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;The modern Eclipse theme&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div> I liked the Bolt theme, as it looks a bit modern, which an EV should look like. However, I did not like the sounds currently offered with any of the themes and preferred to drive with the sound turned off. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Call support" comment="subhead" text="Call support">Call support</cmsannotation> Another interesting feature introduced with the Move OS 3 is the ability to answer calls on the scooter. The calls can be answered and rejected using the volume buttons and the scooter is equipped with a speaker and a microphone for you to talk. <div type="image" title="Calling" msid="97806629" hostid="261" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;You can answer your calls on the scooter&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div> In my experience, the calls worked well on empty roads and roads with moving traffic. If you are in a noisy place, the other person may have some trouble understanding what you are saying. Overall, the feature works well and is something I use during my daily commute. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Party mode" comment="subhead" text="Party mode">Party mode</cmsannotation> <div type="image" title="Party Mode" msid="97806616" hostid="261" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;Party mode with the Move OS 3&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div> Since its launch, one of the features that separated the Ola S1 Pro from its peers was the ability to play music. Now, Ola has introduced a new feature, “party mode.” In this, the lights on the scooter blink when you play music, giving you a disco vibe. Note that this only works when the scooter is parked and will not work while driving it. While this is not a major feature, and you may just use it once or twice, it is a nice feature. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Proximity unlock" comment="subhead" text="Proximity unlock">Proximity unlock</cmsannotation> <div type="image" title="IMG_20230208_191732" msid="97806652" hostid="261" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;Proximity unlock&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div> Another interesting feature that Move OS 3 has introduced is proximity unlock. Basically, this allows your smartphone to act as a key and the scooter is unlocked whenever you come close to it, allowing you to ride it without having to unlock it yourself. Similarly, the scooter is locked when you move away from it. In my experience, there were some issues initially with proximity unlock as sometimes the scooter failed to unlock. While the scooter now locks and unlocks as I come near it or move away from it, there were a few instances when it took some time. The feature is still in Beta so we expect the feature to become better once the company finishes the beta. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Hill hold" comment="subhead" text="Hill hold">Hill hold</cmsannotation> <div type="image" title="IMG_20230208_191821" msid="97806657" hostid="261" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;Hill hold works for a small duration&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div> The Ola S1 Pro has finally received hill-hold support. This is useful when you have stopped your vehicle on an incline. The feature is still in Beta so we expect it to improve once a stable version is rolled out. During my testing, I found that the feature does not always work, and even when it does, it works only for a few seconds. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Profiles" comment="subhead" text="Profiles">Profiles</cmsannotation> As the Ola S1 Pro does not come with a physical key, you may not want to share your passcode or login details with everyone. If you wish to lend your scooter to someone temporarily, you can use the new profiles feature added by the company. It allows you to share access to the scooter with others; all you have to do is enter their name and phone number. The app gives them their passcode, allowing them to unlock the scooter easily. You can revoke access to others’ right from the app. In my experience, the feature works well, and setting up a new rider takes less than a minute. Overall, Move OS 3 has introduced some good features which improve the user experience. Features like proximity unlock and hill hold need to be improved a bit to make them more useful. hardware and battery size. Considering the weight, carrying the laptop everywhere you go might not be as easy, but then again, you are most likely to game at home. The Lenovo Legion 9i is available in a single camo-style Carbon Black colour option. The soft-touch finish ensures that the laptop is protected from fingerprint smudges and dust. While a lot of premium gaming laptops these days are trying to blend in with minimalistic designs, the Legion 9i isn’t imitating this trend. The Legion 9i shouts “gaming laptop” through every aspect of its design. <div type="image" title="Lid" msid="114325808" hostid="261" sizebytes="81142" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;Lenovo Legion 9i back design&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div> The Lenovo 9i features a carbon black finish, built using recycled magnesium. The laptop uses a layered stamping process which the company claims makes it stronger and lighter than typical aluminum builds. That’s not all, there’s also a large strip at the bottom, that also comes with RGB lighting. The lighting can be controlled using the keyboard or using the company’s Vantage software. A lot of the ports have been placed at the back, giving a clean look on the sides. The keyboard has been placed slightly higher, allowing for ample vents on the sides, along with the bottom. Does this keep the laptop cool? There are ample ports so you don’t have to worry about this. The laptop also comes with a webcam shutter switch. <h2>Display</h2>The <keyword id="20287340" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Lenovo-Legion-9i-features" source="Orion">Lenovo Legion 9i features</keyword> a 16-inch 3.2K Mini LED display with 100% DCI-P3 Colour Gamut, a 165Hz refresh rate and 1200 nits peak brightness. The colours look great as it comes with 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 colour gamut. The Mini LED panel ensures excellent visuals with amazing contrast. The laptop’s display comes with support for Nvidia G-Sync, which along with the 165Hz refresh rate offers a great experience while gaming. I played games like Red Dead Redemption 2 and Starfield on the laptop, with the device offering amazing visuals at maximum settings. <h2>Performance</h2>The Lenovo Legion 9i is equipped with the Intel Core i9- 13980HX processor. The laptop is available with 32GB LPDDR5 6400 MHz RAM and 1TB PCIe Gen4 NVMe M.2 SSD. The graphic duties are handled by the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 16GB GDDR6 graphics. I tested the laptop with several games, including games such as Red Dead Redemption 2 and Starfield. Both the games performed well and the laptop was able to handle them without any issues. The laptop was able to handle these games without any issues while playing at maximum settings. Considering the hardware, you will be able to handle everything that you throw at it. The laptop’s cooling technology can keep the device cool during extended gaming sessions so you don’t have to worry about performance throttling. The laptop is equipped with a 99.9 Wh battery and offers a decent battery life. It offers around five hours of battery life but this will significantly come down if you game on it. The laptop offers stereo speakers with audio optimized by HARMAN. While it is always a good idea to use headphones while gaming, the audio from the speakers is also excellent. <h2>Verdict</h2>The Lenovo Legion 9i ticks a lot of the right boxes, including powerful hardware, excellent display, and premium design. It also has a lot of gaming-centric design touches, which shows the effort that went into the device. If you are looking for a premium gaming laptop and don’t mind the hefty price tag, the Legion 9i is an excellent option. As the country goes through phases of 'Unlock' and economic activities are permitted in a staggered manner, the Department of Economic Affairs' (DEA) monthly economic report has suggested that the worst seems to be over for the economy with major indicators showing improvement. The report for July released on Tuesday, cited the Index of Industrial Production (IIP), Purchasing Managers Index (PMI), power generation, production of steel and cement, railway freight, traffic at major ports, e-way bill generation among others to show that economic activities have picked up. "With India unlocking, the worst seems to be over as high-frequency indicators show an improvement from the unprecedented trough the economy had hit in April 2020," it said. The report, however, noted that the risks remain on account of the rising COVID-19 cases and intermittent state lockdowns. It said that the push for growth in the coming months will come from rural India. With the forecast of a normal monsoon, agriculture is likely to cushion the shock of the pandemic on the Indian economy in the current financial year (2020-21), it said. It said that the "timely and proactive" exemptions from COVID-induced lockdowns to the sector facilitated uninterrupted harvesting of rabi crops and enhanced sowing of kharif crops. "A record procurement of wheat has enabled a flow of around Rs 75,000 crore to the farmers which will boost private consumption in rural areas. Since September, 2019, the terms of trade have moved in favour of agriculture and reinforced rural demand," it said. This has manifested in an increase in rural core inflation between March and June 2020. "As a result, the push for growth in coming months appears to be pitched in rural India. The recent landmark reforms announced in the agricultural sector could not have been better timed," the 37-page report said. According to it, the reforms that have deregulated and liberalised the agricultural sector, further empower the farmers to become bigger and more stable participants in India's growth journey. However, it noted that urban India and the world at large continue to fight the growing menace of the pandemic, simultaneously on the health and economic fronts. The January-March quarter of 2020 witnessed broad-based reductions in year-on-year (YoY) GDP growth in advanced economies, ranging from (-) 3.4 per cent to (-) 14.2 per cent and in emerging markets economies, between 2.9 per cent and (-) 6.8 per cent. India, which went into lockdown mode only in the last week of March, grew at 3.1 per cent in this quarter. Subsequently, in its June 2020 update, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has projected global output to contract by 4.9 per cent in 2020, while OECD's projections are harsher at 7.6 per cent. GDP figures of April-June quarter of 2020, slated to be released towards the end of August, will throw some light on the expected recovery of the Indian economy, the report said. However, on Sunday, a similar debate in <keyword id="19895063" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="India" source="keywords">India</keyword> took an interesting turn as the richest person on the world and India's former Minister of State for the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology engaged over the same topic on social media. In a Sunday showdown on X (formerly Twitter), former Union minister <keyword id="19957657" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Rajeev-Chandrasekhar" source="keywords">Rajeev Chandrasekhar</keyword> took on tech magnate <keyword id="19903807" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Elon-Musk" source="keywords">Elon Musk</keyword> over the security of EVMs. Musk had raised eyebrows by labeling EVMs as risky due to potential hacking threats, but Chandrasekhar was quick to fire back, calling Musk's claim "a huge sweeping generalization". The debate ignited when Musk suggested scrapping EVMs entirely, citing hacking risks from both humans and AI, referencing voting irregularities reported in Puerto Rico's primary elections. Responding to the independent US presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr's concerns over voting irregularities in Puerto Rico, Musk posted, "We should eliminate electronic voting machines. The risk of being hacked by humans or AI, while small, is still too high." Similar doubts have been cast over the use of EVMs by the Indian election commission for the last two decades. He stressed that Indian EVMs are a different breed compared to their global counterparts. "Indian EVMs are custom-designed, secure, and isolated from any network. No connectivity, no Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Internet—there is no way in. Factory programmed controllers that cannot be reprogrammed," he elaborated. Doubling down on his retort, Chandrasekhar offered to educate Musk on the secure architecture of Indian EVMs. "We would be happy to run a tutorial, Elon," he quipped. The Union Culture Ministry on Sunday approved opening of 820 centrally protected monuments under the Archeological Survey of India which has places of worship from June 8, Minister Prahlad Patel said. The ministry said that as per the instructions of the ministry of home affairs, the culture ministry has decided to open only those monuments among the over 3,000 ASI-maintained monuments, where religious worship takes place such as Nila Mosque at Hauz Khas enclave, the Qutub archaeological area, Lal Gumbad in Delhi. He said that all coronavirus-related protocols issued by the health ministry will be followed by the monument authorities. There are 3,691 Centrally-protected monuments and archaeological sites maintained by the ASI were shut from March 17 in view of the coronavirus crisis. Sources said that wearing masks might be made the norm at such sites for visitors. "Today, the Culture Ministry has approved the opening of 820 of its living monuments under the ASI from June 8. All protocols issued by the MHA and the Health ministry will be followed," Patel tweeted. Meanwhile, OYO is also seeing a similar positive uptick in bookings. “A significant part of this demand is driven by metro cities, including Gurugram, Noida, Bengaluru, Kolkata and Hyderabad, with a majority of bookings being made by young travellers followed by corporates and SMEs. First week of Unlock 1.0 – Here’s what worked and what didn’t

The ministry issued guidelines for malls, offices, religious places and hotels opening from June 8 outside containment zones. Authorities said only asymptomatic visitors would be allowed in these places with masks and all the entrances will have sanitiser dispensers and thermal screening. <div type="Article" hostid="261" msid="76206859" title="India's central Health Ministry says office timings must be staggered— that and other standard operating procedures for Unlock 1.0" mstype="2" mssubtype="0"></div> Masks, social distancing and no large gatherings in malls Noting shopping malls get frequented by a large number of people for shopping, entertainment and food, it said, “To prevent the spread of COVID-19 infection, it is important that required social distancing and other preventive measures are followed.” <ul><li>Shopping malls in containment zones will remain closed, and only those outside containment zones will be allowed to open up.</li></ul><ul><li>According to the ministry, the generic measures include simple public health measures that are to be followed to reduce the risk of Covid-19 and these “need to be observed by all (workers and visitors) in these places at all times.”</li></ul><ul><li>Physical distancing of at least 6 feet, use of face covers and masks and frequent hand washing and use of Aarogya Setu app was advised to all.</li></ul><ul><li>Spitting will be strictly prohibited.</li></ul><ul><li>“All employees who are at a higher risk — older, pregnant and employees who have underlying medical conditions, to take extra precautions. They should preferably not be exposed to any front-line work requiring direct contact with the public.”</li></ul><ul><li>The ministry said the shopping mall management must facilitate work from home wherever feasible.</li></ul><ul><li>It said preferably separate entry and exits for visitors, workers and goods/supplies should be organised.</li></ul><ul><li>“The staff for home deliveries shall be screened thermally by the shopping mall authorities prior to allowing home delivery.”</li></ul><ul><li>The number of people in the elevators should be restricted, while “Use of escalators with one person on alternate steps may be encouraged”.</li></ul><ul><li>No large gatherings or congregations, gaming arcades and Children Play areas along with cinema halls inside the malls.</li></ul><ul><li>“Persons above 65 years of age, with comorbidities, pregnant women and children below the age of 10 years are advised to stay at home, except for essential and health purposes,” they said.</li></ul>Places of worship to have separate exits, no prasad offerings Places of worship, set to open from June 8 outside containment zones, will not allow entry of senior citizens and other high-risk categories, are urged to have separate entry and exits and touching of idols or holy books will not be allowed, as per the Standard Operating Procedures issued by the government on Thursday (June 3). <ul><li>Religious places/places of worship for the public in containment zones shall remain closed. Only those outside containment zones will be allowed to open up.</li></ul><ul><li>People above 65 years of age, persons with comorbidities, pregnant women and children below the age of 10 years are advised to stay at home.</li></ul><ul><li>The religious places were asked to have mandatory hand sanitisation and thermal screening process for the visitors and only allow asymptomatic persons to be allowed. People with no face masks and face covers should not be allowed entry inside the premises.</li></ul><ul><li>The ministry also asked the religious places to keep the shoes or footwear of visitors outside. “If needed, they should be kept in separate slots for each individual/family by the persons themselves.”</li></ul><ul><li>Touching statues or idols or holy books etc. will not be allowed.</li></ul><ul><li>The ministry also asked the religious places to make seating arrangements in such a way that adequate social distancing is maintained and for air-conditioning or ventilation.</li></ul><ul><li>The ministry clarified that the large gatherings or congregations would continue to remain prohibited.
